This restaurant is always top notch when I am in town. Always have to stop by. The restaurant is beautiful. Great indoor space. Wonderful outdoor space. The bar area is quite large. The food and drinks are always great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely need to stop in when you are in the area.
What a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is beating & clean, our server Ann was on point, knowledgeable & friendly. The menu has a bit of everything- my parents flew in from Colorado & truly enjoyed everything from the seafood chowder, to the amazing halibut and snazzy drinks (the lime in the coconut was the favorite!)
Hosted a function at Atlantic Grill-Caitlyn the event coordinator made it SO easy and was extremely communicative! The staff was exceptional, the food was amazing, and the space was perfect. Highly recommended!!
Enjoyed the entire experience. The food was great so was the service.
This place was incredible!! The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was fantastic. I ordered a special martini that wasn’t on the menu, and not only did they agree to make it, they made it perfectly!! It was so good. The sushi was ridiculously good, and the potstickers and crab cakes were the perfect appetizers to share. We will absolutely be back whenever we’re in the area again.
Atlantic Grill is a jewel! Superb cuisine, excellent service! 5 of us showed up on a busy Sunday, no tables available on line. In no time at all staff set up a table on the patio. Within minutes we were exploring the menu and enjoying our cocktails. Fresh is the word! I've been a patron for years and it just keeps me coming back! You will enjoy your time here!
We have been here many times, always good service and great food. The seafood chowder is a MUST, along with the lobster dip. Drinks are always great as well. The charcuterie is always so good. Creme Brulee is divine. We have celebrated here for my daughter's engagement, Christmas Eve, Father's Day, and brought out of town guests. We have also come for restaurant week and tried new items we probably would not have otherwise. It's the best, our family loves AG!
We stopped here randomly after pulling off the highway to get gas at the Shell gas station. It's a remarkablely nice place with a nautical decor, clean and bright inside. I was stuffed from a weekend packed with eating, so had a light lunch of oysters and a lobster salad. CAN YOU SAY YUM? Delicious! My fiancee had meatballs and a salad, we both joined clean plate club! Going back to Massachusetts NOT disappointed! You won't regret stopping here. The service was really delightful, courteous and attentive.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch on a rainy Sunday at the Atlantic Grill. Able to make reservations, was seated in an area right by a beautiful gas fireplace. Tables are socially distanced. Our waitstaff was very attentive. Food was great. Beer-battered fish was crisp and tender, served with crispy fries. Hubby got Caesar salad with croutons that were out of this world. Clam chowder was good as well. Oh, I almost forgot! Yummy Bloody Marys. Look forward to coming back in the summer for the outdoor seating.
We had another wonderful family dinner tonight at Atlantic Grill. We had booth which was really nice. One person had whole belly clams and 4 people had the lobster roll and clam chowder. Each of us had a different request, and Melissa gave us great service. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. So glad this terrific restaurant is here. They’re very consistent and dependable in their high quality.
Wonderfully accommodating staff and beautiful atmosphere! Update 8/2020: Sat on the patio for lunch today and felt very safe with tables spaced apart, careful cleaning and all staff wearing masks. Food was delicious as always. Riley was a great server and manager Brittany was super friendly and checked in on us during our visit. Thanks AG!
Found this spot about 5 minutes drive from Wallis Sands. After a few hours at the beach, it was the perfect spot to recharge before the long drive home. Got extremely lucky and was seated within 5 minutes. Reservations are definitely recommended. Business casual dress seemed appropriate. Don't show up in your swimsuit (I changed, haha). Seafood chowder was marvelous. Definitely will be back!
Delicious and huge portions. Lobster was perfect 🤤
Recently came here for a work event. Let me start by saying the food was amazing. I loved my virgin Shirley Temple 😁. The thing that stuck out the most though, was the service. I was so surprised how amazing Amber was! She made the night so much better with how amazing she was to all of us. So good, that we were all trying to get her over to one of our 11 locations. Amber was extremely nice and friendly and very personable. I mentioned that I was couldn’t do dairy (I don’t even think to her either) and she came back and surprised me with sherbet. It really made my night. I didn’t want to go without acknowledging her service. This wasn’t just service, this was her personality and it was very appreciated. Thank you again for a great night.
This place was excellent. We sat in the heated area outside with music playing. Food was amazing and service was perfect with a nice tip.
Went here for the first time a couple months ago and the food was delicious! The restaurant was so cute and our waitress was friendly. My only complaint is their mocktail for the Moscow mule was not good in the slightest. It was so watered down it tasted like ginger water with no lime or carbonation.
Food was perfect. A little expensive but they have the atmosphere, service, and food to back it up. I will be back.
My favorite restaurant! Great food 😋
Wonderful dining experience on the patio. Food and drinks were great. The waitstaff and hostesses were kind and professional. Reservations were easy to get and we were seated promptly to our table. Couldn’t ask for anything more. We’ll definitely be back again!
Good grilled seafoods and burger. I recommend to order Rib eye steak which is awesome. You can select drinks from nice wine list and local draft beers. Additionally, people is so friendly and thoughtful, especially allergy information, and we enjoyed the time here.
Absolutely wonderful experience overall. My friend and I enjoyed the heated porch on the very cold Memorial Day weekend. We were very comfortable. Both my friend and I had the French onion soup and dhrimp scampi. The scampi was the best I've ever had! For dessert we shared the creme brulee and both had an espresso martini made their special way.....divine! It was a very leisurely lunch and the service was spot on! We will definitely be back.
Lovely outside dining on a perfect NE night. Our gang had fish and chips, gigantic burgers and salad with grilled chicken. All delicious! Super friendly, efficient service too!
Excellent always! The grilled salmon was delicious and the frosé was simply wonderful. Awesome service (thank you Izzy) and atmosphere under the lights outside! We keep coming back and will continue to do so since everything is always top notch!
Excelente food, mussels were in a tasty wine broth. Our Waitress was fenomenal It was an outstanding experience
Great fresh seafood. Best seafood chowder our group ever had. Fabulous waitress for our difficult crowd too! We say on the outside covered patio and it was delightful!
Astounding. Service was above the bar...and then the food showed up...insane. wicked awesome food. You HAVE to get here to check this out. Higheat recommendation possible.
Great dinner, menu was short but had good choices and plates were fantastic!! Service was perfect and covid precautions were on point!
This was my 2nd time there. Again, it was amazing. I ordered shrimp cocktail and a burger. The shrimp was humongous. I couldn't eat the 4 that I ordered and the burger with the creamy brie was outstanding. No dessert but I did order a cup of coffee. I was a bit disappointed that they did not offer to go cups so I purchased an Atlantic Grill mug. The server Grace (Gracie) was delightful.
We came up from Arkansas to visit friends in East Kingston and they took us on a beautiful drive up the coast to this restaurant. The setting was beautiful and the food was delicious, my only complaint was the service. I had the Lime in the Coconut Mai Tai and the Seared Scallops. I also had dessert but I honestly can't remember what that was....
We had a fantastic dining experience from beginning to end. The staff were amazing and welcoming from the beginning and our waitress was phenomenal. We also loved music they had playing, which is certainly personal preference, but it made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The drinks were delicious, and the food was really flavorful and cooked perfectly ( I had the swordfish and my husband had the filet). I tried one of the mini desserts (strawberry cheesecake), which was also delicious. We will be back!!
Great King Crab Legs. Always great selection of Seafood. Excellent quality. Great Drinks. Highly recommended for brunch.
We ate as a family of four with two kids. I loved the decor inside and the food was delicious. We sat outside and although it was hot out it was a very nice atmosphere with all the plants and flowers. Our server was great and helped accommodate for one of our children with food allergies. Will definitely return.
Very friendly, quality customer service with Attention to detail. Jordan the Bartender created the most Amazing Lemon Drop Martini I have ever had-even gave me this special touch Recipe! Highly recommend, Food great, atmosphere terrific, service stupendous! Definitely going back! Thanks, Jordan!!
We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding here and were super happy with how it went! Caitlyn was super responsive leading up to the event and very helpful with all of the planning and help with setup day of. The food was great and service was attentive. Definitely recommend for an event!
Service was excellent, food was prompt and hot. Had some awesome horseradish with the shrimp cocktail. Only suggestions are maybe to put a bit less salt in the soup (though other clientele may disagree heavily). I also tried the French Onion Martini, which I only have myself to blame for (it tastes just like it sounds!).
Ate during happy hour at the bar. Excellent service. Hubby enjoyed the fish slider and truffle fries. I had the shrimp avocado roll from the regular menu, which was lacking in shrimp and too much rice. Nice beverage selection.
I have 🙈 seen their sign on RT 1A, 🙉 heard there advertisement on the radio 📻 and my friends have expressed interest in visiting. I was attending an event in the area so I decided to visit. Very busy! I found a seat 🪑 at the bar 🍻 and service was very good. It is loud 🔊 with conversations but the music 🎶 was not. Flat screen TVs to watch sports. I had a delicious Berry Limeade mocktail for my drink and the Spring 🌱 Gnocchi for dinner 🍽️. I am not a fan of Gnocchi but the black pepper cream sauce with wilted, vegetables, English peas and shiitake mushrooms was tempting. It tastes good 👍! I had an enjoyable time and meal. I am going to recommend a visit. There were items on the menu that I wanted to try.
After driving by numerous times we decided to give it a try! We stopped in for a Fathers Day lunch. The food was fantastic! We loved that the kids plates were little paper boats! It’s a bit pricy but it’s seafood, what do you expect ! Our waiter was great as well. He was calm and handled the requests from our kids with patience!
The food used good ingredients, was cooked perfectly, but it was noticeably under-seasoned and priced at about $50 per person for dinner with apps. Having loved the Thistle Pig, I know Chef Ben can (and almost always does) do better. I suspect staff shortages in the kitchen affected performance. It was still a good meal, but not memorable, and we needed to salt almost everything that came out of the kitchen to achieve the great flavors we expected.
Not a bad place to eat. The food was very good. The service was top notch. I didn’t enjoy sitting out in the porch area away from the dining room. Maybe I wasn’t dressed up enough. Anyway, that didn’t change the taste of the food. The meal was also quite pricey. I don’t mind paying a lot when it deserves it, but you can see the pictures, to expensive. We probably won’t eat there again.
Food was tasty, but not exceptional- the chowder was not as rich or creamy as I prefer, but still good, & the lobster roll was competent. Drinks were very well made. COVID considerations were exceptionally well taken care of, so kudos for that.
Love the Froze it is devine. Love the burgers and shrimp. They no longer have jellyfish due to pandemic but, the staff are very friendly. Enjoy trying their new concoctions along with the tried and true.
Birthday snacking with one of my best gal pals, we decided to try Atlantic Grill as I'd been eyeing it on my trips to the beach and had been meaning to try. The shrimp cocktail was INCREDIBLE, but definitely left you wanting more. Maybe the look they're going for, but this girl wants more than 3 shrimp 🤷🏽♀️ crab cakes were really great as well, the corn salsa was really nice as well. Will definitely be back to try more. Also, really pleased to see Citizen Cider Dirty Mayors in stock, one of my favorites and you don't see it in too many places!
Good food. FYI..hummus dip is just raw vegetables with hummus but dip tastes good. Chicken skins were delicious. Burger and fries were good. Bartender was friendly. Only problem I had was that I wanted to sit at the patio and was told that all of the tables have already been reserved. I was there for a couple of hours but more than half of the patio tables were available for the whole time. Not cool.
The food was good, but not great. Especially considering the price. The mixed drinks were okay, we ended all having regular ones instead. The fish was tasty, but the amount was laughable if I'm being honest. The broccolini was steamed and useasoned. The mash potato tasted good, but again, wasn't mind blowing. My wife had scallops, but they were rubbery. For 42$ a plate, I kinda was hoping for more food, or at least be mind blown by the flavor. The ambiance was nice, however.
Positive: the patio/outdoors area is gorgeous. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. Cons: service was terrible, very slow! Overpriced kids meals- $7 for kraft Mac & cheese with French fries (no drink included) They cooked a filet mignon well done when we ordered medium. If it wasn’t for the lovely outdoors setting we would not come back! Will give them another chance.
This is a tourist trap at its finest. Expensive And small portions these type of places thrive near areas with lots of money.
This is my first time ever writing a Google review. I dined here for the 2nd time the other night. I was reluctant to return since my first visit was underwhelming. They have created a great atmosphere here and the staff is lovely. Though my experience with their food has been disappointing. For the price point, I expect a higher quality product than what I've received. My swordfish was okay, and the vegetables on the side were lacking any notable flavors. The other member of our party ordered the haddock or halibut, I believe, and she ended up sending it back. It was undercooked and also devoid of any flavor. The manager removed that meal from our check and handled everything gracefully. For an establishment that's been around as long as the Atlantic Grill, I expect a certain level of excellence. Based on all the five star reviews on here, it's possible that I've just caught them on a bad night. Unfortunately, I won't be returning here to see if the third time is the charm.
I would give zero stars if I could. We had a reservation which we arrived on time for. We were seated and waited for 20 minutes .No one approached our table during that time. The two servers in that section would not make eye contact with us. We told the host on our way out why we were leaving. There was no attempt to rectify the situation. It’s like he didn’t care. They also cancelled our reservation on open table so we couldn’t leave a review. We have been to the restaurant many times before but will not be returning.
This place needs better staff. I have been in the service industry 15 years and I have never had a waitress with a more miserable attitude. Whatever middle aged woman was working the patio tonight needs to be fired. Her curmudgeon vibes tainted what should have been a night of celebration. She casted dirty looks when I mentioned we would be getting apps to share. I’ve been here before and was expecting bread wait which she didn’t bring and i had to then ask for. She then brings it back, no butter, I had to remind her of that. After almost an hour I tried ordering my second drink and she declined me because my melted rocks glass was full and there’s a two drink maximum. I pointed out to her that I didn’t drink the rocks hence why it’s full of melted ice and I only had one. She tells me she doesn’t feel comfortable since there’s a two drink maximum and I had a full drink (of melted rocks water). She was clearly trying to push us out because she was upset we weren’t ordering food. I have never been so upset on a dining experience. I had suggested to my colleagues this place and it was their first visit. Very embarrassing and I had to leave a review about this dissatisfaction. This woman is in the wrong field I would suggest applying to the DMV were your crappy attitude doesn’t cost you money. I will never be back again. Not the first time your staff has been awful either. Joe at the bar was the only time I got decent service at this restaurant.
