5 stars all around. All the staff was extremely friendly and amazing energy! The food is worth the price! Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Filete Zanadeago ( bass fish ) absolutely delicious, I went with a group of 10 people and we were all trying eachothers meals! The drinks were soo good and unique ! The whole experience was exactly the experience you want when going out to eat! Celebrating, girls nights out , birthdays romantic dinners! The music was on point and it was overall just a really great experience! Must go must try!
The food was amazing and very quick to come out. The atmosphere was also very nice and pretty. The staff was also very nice and keep checking in to see if everything was going good just make sure to book a reservation because it does get busy. Overall the restaurant gets a 10 out 10 from me and we will definitely be coming back.
i recently visited Rosa Madera in Sacramento, and everything from the food to the atmosphere was amazing. We started with chicharrones de harina drizzled in Valentina - light, crispy, and full of flavor. The nachos al pastor were loaded and satisfying, with tender meat and plenty of toppings in every bite. The birria tacos were rich and savory, perfectly paired with the flavorful rice and beans on the side. The server was so nice too! she pulled our seats for us and constantly checked in wondering if everything was good The ambience inside is absolutely gorgeous -- elegant and upscale, the kind of place that feels perfect for a special occasion while still being comfortable enough to relax and enjoy. It's definitely on the fancier side, but the prices are worth every penny for the quality and presentation you get. Rosa Madera is a spot l'd happily return to when I want great Mexican food in a beautiful setting.
I came here today around 5:30 pm. We ordered the carne asada fries, guacamole with chips, enchiladas verdes, enchiladas con mole, quesabirria tacos, and fried ice cream. The food was very good! We got here in time for happy hour, which is 2-6 pm. They didn’t have the happy hour menus on the table so just make sure to ask for them! The service was pretty good, just a bit inattentive, but they were busy, so I understand. I would definitely recommend!
Great atmosphere with great food!! Menu had a variety of options to choose from. Everything we ordered was so flavorful and portions were big. Must try if you haven't already!
Waiter was amazing and attentive very helpful forgot his name :( I got the carnita asada and 4 drinks (“Mari mar “it was the perfect piña colada in picture with the pineapple ), coconut margarita , pomegranate margarita and mojito ANDDD the Horchata was hot con galletas !! Loved it overall 10/10 for meeeeee
Came here for the first time with a party of 7 and was immediately greeted by the music and kind staff. Such a beautiful restaurant. You can tell they put so much effort in every little piece of art inside. The food was amazing as well. For the first time, I really liked the Mexican rice and beans. I thought it went really well with my main dish! My sisters loved their meal and vibe too. Will be coming back soon. Thank you for the awesome service.
Went in to enjoy a brew with a friend and were greeted by Onorio Garcia, who made us feel very welcome right away. He was extremely attentive and we had a great conversation while sitting at the bar. Definitely will be back! Thanks to him for making us feel special drinks are the best and ambience!
Our service was amazing and the vibe of this place is hella dope! Great for large parties and birthdays! Plus the food and drinks are hella good!
Atmosphere is above and beyond especially for the area. The cocktails are great and the food ( we ordered …(no chips and salsa) fish tacos and birria chimichangas, both ok. Fish tacos are not traditional to Baja tho they claim to be. I would know I lived there. Too greasy too much cheese. But maybe that’s your thing. Loved the mariachi band and atmosphere. Would def come again maybe try something else on menu.
The food and drinks were wonderful, and the atmosphere was excellent, but the exceptional service really stole the show. They were incredibly accommodating, allowing me to drop off a birthday cake earlier in the day. After our meal, they brought it out with sparklers and sang Happy Birthday, making the night truly special. We’ll definitely be back soon
Food is great, delicious, second time going there and hasn’t disappointed. My Family loves this place , ordered different dishes so we can taste it all (4 ) . Drinks are good, horchata a bit sweeter but I love it either way , and agua de fresa 🍓 was on point! My fav dish I would said is the ribs in red sauce !! Can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely amazing experience. The restaurant was packed but I still was seated almost immediately. The service was so good especially for the crowd. My food came out really fast and it was delicious. I enjoyed my entire experience from the food to the drinks to the music. I will definitely be coming back.
Came here with my wifey and she really enjoyed the atmosphere and live music. Not to mention to really good food and service.

Cleanliness: "The restaurant was spotless, and the staff kept the dining area clean and tidy". Service: "The staff was attentive and courteous, and made us feel like VIPs". Food: "The food and drinks were delicious and different from other places". The bartender Mike was exceptional 👌🏾 Atmosphere: "The ambiance is welcoming and stylish, and it's a great place to relax".
Food was go good I will go back but i will request a different waiter. Not sure if they have customer service back round. Even been to other country's and there service is a 10. i think all guest should be greeted the same and when taking the order wait till the guest is done saying what they want he cut me off not sure if he was busy but that was not ok. I didn't want to ask for a different waiter which i should off. Next all guest are treated the same even if gender is different etc. I will return I love the place and the food was amazing.
It was a request from a friend for her BD lunch. I had no idea it was the old La Estrella building with new ownership and total beautiful revamp. Food was amazing. The only thing I would have preferred whole pinto or refried beans instead of a puree. Food was reasonably priced. It was the bottle of mimosas that added up. I will definitely be back!!! Flavors were incredible!
We came here on a Sunday for brunch, the atmosphere was fun. I ordered the chorizo con papas skillet and a guava mimosa, both were great. The service was a bit slow, however it was very busy.
First time here. Not the best location in town. Went on Sat night. Wait was 1.5hr so we sat in the bar area. The stools and tables in bar could be more comfortable. The restaurant area does look comfortable and it’s great ambiance. First thing, no chips. It’s pinwheels with tapatio. I’ll pass. Service was good considering how busy they were. The only negative was we ordered fajitas and they didn’t bring tortillas out for a solid 5minutes afterwards. Sopes and birria chimichanga were pretty good. The food ordered around also looked very good. Prices were on the higher side. I probably wouldn’t come weekly. The biggest negative was the birthday recognitions. In the hour we were there there were 4. The music turns up to where you can’t hear your table talk and it just felt like I was at Farrells ice cream or Red Robin, it cheapened the atmosphere a bit. I will go back to see if they have lunch options or happy hour specials. FYI…..AMAZING fried ice cream
I went here to celebrate my husband's birthday because he loves Mexican food. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, the music was great and the staff were friendly, attentive and always checking on us. If you tell the staff it's your birthday they will have a staff member come over and sing happy birthday with great fun. I loved it, but if you want to eat at the restaurant I recommend calling ahead to make a reservation because the restaurant gets very busy. Overall I liked everything about the restaurant. (We are hungry that's why we forgot take a picture of food ^^)

Great food if you can get seated. Went on a Friday night around 5:30pm and we're heated with a 3 hour wait or we could be seated at the bar. Chose the bar for obvious reasons. The bar crew was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious as were the drinks. Would definitely return and maybe try to make a reservation.
Okay so the food was okay for the most part. Nothing that really stood out but it wasn't bad. Did have to wait almost an hour for our group to be seated which was a minus. The atmosphere here is lively however and that was a plus. I loved the birthday shoutouts they do though. Definitely worth checking out. The drinks helps with the vibe there too.
This restaurant is beautiful inside and really creates a great vibe. The food was great but the margaritas was lacking in my opinion. I ordered one of their most expensive margaritas and the taste and presentation could have been better. It came in just a basic water glass and I felt like I could have made it better at home, and I have had better at many other restaurants. The service was great. Our server was attentive and quickly responded to requests. The food was fantastic too. Can be a little on the loud side but can still talk. I was disappointed in the state of the bathroom. The doors to the stalls in the women's restroom did close well and the esthetic didn't match the vibe of the rest of the place. It felt like the bathrooms had been forgotten about. They were clean, just not what I was expecting compared to the rest of the restaurant. Great spot for a date night or girls/guys night out.

Service! Service! Service! The service is crawlingly slow. We were in for dinner on a Wednesday night. The dining room was lively. The murals on the wall are pics worthy and the interior is nicely decorated. The food, however, was sadly bland. No bold flavors. No punches of spice or salt. Our favorite dish at the table was the ceviche. The beans have a nice mouth feel of manteca so that could be the second favorite. The bar gives good HH vibes.

Don't let the strip mall fool ya. Rosa Madera is a visual experience and as soon as you walk into the restaurant you are surrounded by a lively and festive space filled with art and atmosphere. The food was amazing. The best enchilada verdes I have had in Sacramento. The sauce packed heat, was bright nuanced, and the plating was as much of a feast as the flavor. My cocktail was a little on the sweet side but that is a me thing. That said, it was well made, festive, and I would have had more. But there are clear issues that if not fixed, I will be surprised if this restaurant which is only 7 months into it survives. We went on a Tuesday, and it was hopping. The wait was 45 minutes long so we took a bar table. Sometimes restaurants are busier than they expect. But the issue was not that they were busy beyond expectation and not staffed for it. Here is the issue. We sat down and it took us 45 minutes to get a basket of chips. Tables that were seated 30 minutes after we arrived had their chips, drinks, and appetizers before we had our chips or our order was taken. We had to get up and go get someone no fewer than three times to resolve this. The gross disregard of order is a huge no no. To some degree, this can happen, but it was obscene how others were being served and our section was grossly ignored. They finally brought me my cocktail after I had already finished eating. There are so many glaring timing issues that long term, customers will not bother with service that fails to meet even the most basic level of decency. On their website, they say the have vegetarian specialties. Two of the guests were veggie. When asked, they had no idea what they were-- we asked three of the different servers we had. When asked if the beans had lard, which we asked four different servers, no one had a clue. We were regularly and constantly ignored while others around us were not, despite mentioning it to the host, manager, and three servers. The food was great. I look forward to going back and changing some of my ratings and my review. But the food does not make up for a gross inability to manage a restaurant at the most basic level.
Wasn't impressed with the food or atomspere. The beans and rice were horrible and I did not eat it ,so that was a waste of money. The chicken mole enchiladas were too sweet and drowned in sauce. The enchiladas were tough and couldn't cut through with my fork; had to use a knife. The chicken flautas appetizers were good. The bar has limited seating and the bartender kept flirting with a small group of girls and coming from around the bar to talk and touch on them. Maybe he knew them, but still creepy. My daughter's cocktail was hot. The place has blaring music we couldn't hear each other speak. Our server was nice. Also the tables are too close to each other, not much walking space. I will not be returning. Not worth the 30 minute drive.
