This place was great, lots of lanes and friendly staff. There are always specials going on. We went on a Sunday and they had $2.50 games and shoes. So it was surely nice on the wallet for a really fun time. We did order food, it was a little pricey, but pretty good comfort food. I will definitely be returning.

I came over there and it was very crowded people there so I am assume that they have very good deal there. Lots of fun!

We had a great time bowling, it’s been over a year since the last time. The staff is so friendly and very helpful. We took advantage of Tuesday night specials and really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was kept clean and the food was so good. We’re making this a weekly date night!

Went here with a girl I know from high-school. That was the first time we hung out together outside of school. Hope her and i keep coming here together in the future.

We had the best time. This is a great place to go with your friends and family! The staff are friendly and helpful. I loved the arcade and the bar is comfortable with great service. Clean restrooms! I definitely will be back for more fun again!

Great price for open bowling on Sunday nights

I scheduled a lane reservation for 5pm Saturday for my 10 year old daughter and 2 friends. The friends arrived a little earlier than anticipated. I called to see if we could head in earlier at 4pm. I spoke to Evan on the phone and he told us we can head on in. We arrived and were greeted by Evan who was patient enough to help us with the sizing of the girls shoes. We were promptly directed to our lane to start bowling. Evan had recommended some food and drinks so we decided to get some for myself my wife and the girls. The staff were great and the food came out quick. Evan and the staff would frequently check o. Us to make sure we’re were having a good time, even when it started to get a little busier as the night got later. I’m so glad this experience exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back again!

I just celebrated my husband’s birthday there yesterday evening and we all had such a great time! Nessa our waitress was amazing! She was attentive to our needs, tried to make sure we got the most for our money, and made it convenient for our guests! She interacted with group and was super friendly! I really appreciate all she did for us! Gil the manager was also very friendly and willing to accommodate our needs and requests! We will definitely be back!

This place is one of the most fun places I have been to in a very long time! Very family oriented and the staff is amazing! Kassadina, who works front desk is very sweet and will take care if people 100% If there were any issues, the management and staff were on it ASAP! Food is amazing and the bartender has an awesome personality!! I would love for my child to work there in the future. This place is a must to go to!

We had a great time bowling with a group of friends for my husband's birthday! The staff was friendly and we received great customer service. The general manager Evan went above and beyond for our group!

I belong to a certain group that helps protect abused children. We were looking for places for a Christmas party for our kids. This place was very accommodating and did everything within their abilities to make sure it we were separated from the general public as best as possible. Service was hands down the best we have ever received at any venue we have used in the past. The management along with the staff or just excellent on helping us make it a wonderful party for Our Heroes. So if you're looking for a bowling alley to host a party or another event. Look no further. These guys are some of the best!

Loved it here! Came on a Saturday night last minute and a big group and had a really good experience. It was late in the evening and we ordered a lot of food and everything was great. We didn’t wait long, lanes were ready, staff was nice, place wasn’t packed and it was just overall a good experience. Christianna I believe the Managers name was, she was great and made our experience that much better. The cook came out to apologize for the food taking awhile but it wasn’t long at all for the unexpected large order and for that alone spoke volumes that they try their best at customer service. They definitely made an impression and we will be coming back a lot more due to the great experience we just had!

Today we had a company outing at the bowling alley and it was a blast! The managers on duty, Evan and Richard, were very nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was great, the place was clean and the bowling went very smooth. We could not have picked a better place to have some workplace bonding and are already planning our next trip back. Solid team at this bowlero! Keep up the great work!

We just had the best party! I’ve never seen a happier bunch of teenagers. Hats off to manager Kelsey for taking such good care of us! He kept the food coming, the drinks cold and had game cards on hand and ready! Oh and the cookie cake YUM! Thanks for a fun birthday!

Awesome place! Friendly people and decent price for bowling. Only ordered mozzarella sticks and they were hot and cooked perfectly. Bowling was a blast too. Didn't get to finish our second game but that's because we ended up getting there not long before closing, but that was our fault. Definitely a 5-star place.

My son and I had a great time gaming and bowling! Love how the lights are low and it looks like cosmic bowling on Friday nights!

This was my first time visiting this bowling alley and to my surprise I had an amazing customer service experience. The kind you expect to receive anywhere you spend your hard earned money. The staff was just awesome from the beginning, in fact it was good to see that managers still take part in the overall success of their operations. When I came in I had questions that were immediately answered with positive attitude, I was a little worried as I had younger kids with me and felt I needed to prepare for bumpers and instructions to get them settled. One of the staff members Jessica, which I later came to find out was a manager, was so helpful and extremely professional. She even helped me carry my shoes as the kids ran off. She let me know where everything was on the way and helped me set up. This was by far the best experience I've had in a bowling alley and strongly recommend it to anyone wanting a day out. It was such a fun experience. The food was cooked to perfection and I had no issues but great comments about the staff there.

We had the most amazing experience today! The staff are kind, friendly, and really made accommodations with our special needs kiddo. The service by Teri and Clayton was exceptional! Jessica & Evan also went above and beyond! We will be back.

Everytime we are there the employees are so sweet and helpful! We bowl with our church league on Sunday nights and we love the atmosphere. Had to ask one of the guys name because always works so hard- shout out to Logan!

Best experience! Had my grandsons birthday party there. Best service we’ve ever had. Staff was amazing and the GM was incredible. Food was delicious. They staff all signed a birthday card for him. Excellent attention to detail. If I could give 10 stars I would! Highly recommend!

This bowling alley in my opinion is the best one I’ve been to in San Antonio if you want legit oiled lanes and good service. We come a lot on Sundays and Chandra is our waitress everytime, she always makes it super fun and is always quick and attentive to everything we need even though she is taking care of the entire bowling alley herself. Also she is always smiling and making us feel welcome. I would recommend this spot to anyone families or serious bowlers!

When me and my brother went to the bowling alley last year before Christmas holiday we went to the bowling alley and bowl a couple of games

What a great experience. Evan, the general manager, stepped up when we explained it had been a while since we bowled. He got our grandson fitted with the proper size ball right away. Our drinks were served promptly. The lanes were not crowded even for a Friday night. This location was a much better and low-key compared to the 281N location.

I held my son's 12th birthday party here. It was surprisingly enough cheaper to do a party for 5 (birthday boy+4 friends), than to pay for everything separately. Our server, Nessa, was amazing, and made the boys feel very grown up. When she realized his cake was DJ Marshmello, she added to his birthday sign, which he loved! She was very attentive to the adults as well. We had a blast, and wouldn't hesitate to have another party there, or just go and hang out again. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great.

This location is nice and close to the house. It's nice the lanes aren't packed and seem to be enforcing Social Distancing. Been here a few times in the past month and will continue to come by. Keep up the good work Bowlero!!!

This was the best time we’ve had in awhile! The bowling alley was clean and all the staff was so friendly and customer service oriented. We came for. Brahmas fans bowling night and it was soo fun! Terry was great! We’re definitely going to find another time to come back! Thanks Terry!!

Operations manager was awesome. He sold us lane and shoes.....then talked with me for 15 minutes after we were done. I don't remember his name but he made me want to come back

Our visit started off rocky with our food order (placed at the begining of our bowling game) not being done before we finished all 10 frames. The manager was great, took care of the order and even gave my kids a card for the arcade. What could have been a bad time was fixed by outstanding customer service.

Front desk staff and our waitress were awesome! Super kind, attentive and funny. The lanes were clean and the price for two hours + shoe rental wasn’t bad at all. We will be coming back frequently!

We are big bowlers and I really enjoy this house. For a Bowlero it's not like other Bowleros and that's a plus for me. For other bowlers, my review is not in reference to lane conditions. My kids do a lot of tournaments in many different bowling alleys and adjusting to lanes comes with the territory. For me this bowling alley has great staff, great practices, clean facilities. They don't charge for water, which trust me, is unusual. They don't charge for refills; again, unusual. They have a really good youth bowling program. I just can't say enough good things.

This place was so much fun. The San Antonio Ford Bronco Association had a blast and heck both my daughters used to bowl for high school at that bowling alley

My disabled daughter bowls here with her group every Saturday, and staff is always so nice and accommodating.

Had a blast bowling was great the tables and lanes where clean. The staff was good to. The arcade is pretty decent air hockey was fun. A little on the pricey side but they had a deal going on that provided 2 bowlers 3 games and tokens for the arcade that made it worth it.

Great time with my family! Very friendly staff that was attentive to our group. Brought ordered food from the Snack bar to our lane. Helped with a couple if errant shots to clear our lanes. Over all a great time, highly recommend Bowlero Thousand Oaks!

Definitely an old building but the lames are maintained very well. The balls are a little different since they have two sizes for your fingers and I did not notice it at first. The food was actually pretty good and the fries are definitely on point. Prices are good and if you're military the prices are almost cut in half. I will definitely be going again.

COLDEST BOWLING ALLEY EVER (>_<) . Make sure you dress for winter when you come here geesh. I just don't understand why they always keep it so cold in here. Even when it's cold outside! (like today in November) Here for one of many tournaments and people are huddled together, wearing hoodies WITH the hoods, have blankets, are sniffling, I mean come on... I'm hearing other people complaining and saying they need a hot drink LOL. Sorry, but the sheer wintry air makes the experience here, unfortunately, quite miserable... I really Hope management sees this and adjusts the thermostat accordingly. Their pizza is really good though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ P.s. My fingertips are numb >.<

Even though the place was very busy and not many workers, they were very professional and sweet. I would easily be overwhelmed but our server Zoey was absolutely amazing and so sweet. Cassie was also great.

I think, like most places, they're under staffed. Almost 45 minutes to get shoes and a lane assigned. Our oldest son who is severely autistic (non verbal) was not happy with the wait time. They (3 boys under 13) loved the arcade area, after we bowled. We'd totally go back. Just.. need staff!

Super clean and friendly staff. Sadly there was only one person working the kitchen and waiting tables on the day we went around 1PM. The place was packed within the hour. She was such a trooper! Huge kudos to her!

Bowling has become my husbands newest obsession and this is our go to place. We purchased a summer season pass now that our grandson is with us and he loves to bowl now too. The staff is really nice. Pro shop staff is helpful. They get a lot of my husbands money. Certain lanes mess up your scoring so avoid lane 24 if you want accurate scoring.

Came to play pool on a Saturday evening. It was surprisingly empty. Pool tables were in fair condition. Only thing I didn't like was they don't have their drink prices posted at the bar. $12/hour for pool tables

We were there for a tournament that went well on Saturday and Sunday morning. A group of us went there Friday afternoon to practice, and the staff was rude, and the price was $9.99 a game per person. Needless to say, we didn't bowl. I've never paid that for bowling.

one of the nicer bowling establishments! only complaint is that when we used a free game coupon, the game was only for one person? i feel like it shouldn’t matter how many cause it would be split up amongst X amount of players, as long as X amount of players pay for shoe rentals. like regardless the lane will be taken up for one game, why does it matter if there’s multiple people bowling. anyways, after that we asked if they offer military discount for the players that weren’t using the single free game coupon and they said we can’t use it since there’s a coupon being used in the same transaction. kind of whack. other than that though, the atmosphere is nice! clean tables, clean bowling balls, and the lanes seem like they’ve been taken care of. i didn’t get to try the food but it looked delicious on the menu! it was really cold when i went it but i prefer that when i bowl but just a heads up for anyone that gets cold easily, bring a zip up hoodie. my grandma was freezing and had to grab a jacket from the car. altogether this is a really fun place for the family! i would come here again and would recommend to friends and family!

The location is pretty awesome inside despite looking (sorry, guys) old on the outside. They're are plenty of lanes and a medium-sized pool table area. I would give it 5 stars if not for the unappealing exterior and the price. It was a bit higher than I expected, even though it was ultimately worth it.

It's a nice, clean place. But the prices are ridiculous. The shoes are very old. It's not a place I'd take the kids regularly due to the high prices. Each game is also expensive ea player pays for the game. It should be one price for the game because of the shoe rental or if they charge ea player for the games free shoe rental. They'd have more ppl come in to enjoy the place that way. Not to mention the food prices. Just too expensive for all in general.

Didn't have to wait for a lane. Big, clean and great bartender. They were short staffed so service could have been better but the staff working was very nice. They recently changed their menu and renovated the game room.

The home of the pocket 7 - 10 split. Hate Bowlero took over. Food and drinks are overpriced, and they charge a service fee on all orders. I have never seen a bowling alley do that. Lanes are nice, leagues are fun, and I wish they would open earlier. Would love to get a noon game or two or three in. Would give 5 stars but opening time and overpriced food with service charge give it a 4. Update: still the same as above, still a nice place to bowl and have fun, so go on out. Edit... service fees have gone away, and I thank y'all for that. Wait staff can get tipped appropriately. Edit... why are there drink specials Monday thru Thursday but not on Friday? At least give the league bowlers the same specials as Monday thru Thursday. Get a mixed drink for $6 but Friday it's $11 or $12, tallboys for $5 but Friday it's $8+, that's not fair for the league bowlers especially if league during the other days get deals.

The bowling alley was clean but very dark. The staff was friendly. I can't really comment on the price of bowling because I don't bowl so I can't compare but I will say that the price wasn't a lot. There was a problem with our scoring machine and when I pressed the button for someone to help no one came. However when I did stop an employee, he did come and help. We only bowled 1 game because the shoes (and probably the weight of the ball) caused my ankle to hurt. We didn't try the food or restroom. The alley was not crowded on a Saturday afternoon and while the cashier was a little slow she was helpful and friendly. It was a positive experience and good family fun.

The lane kept resetting itself. A soda was 4.50. And I hate that type of seating on the lanes (where the chairs are stationary)

Nice lanes. Plenty of seating. Nice pool tables that were rented by the hour. There was also food available and I heard no complaints from our crew of 9. Not so great game room and certainly not for the littles. Bar service was a bit slow for the 4 cocktails they hand made. The rest was tap beer, canned seltzer, canned "cocktails" and soda.

Pin action when bowling is not good. I usually bowl at astro bowl, oak hills and bandera bowl. All those places I have excellent pin action. My cousin had asked me to join a league at thousand oaks bowlers. But after bowling there and no pin action. I will not be joining any league there.

I have been a bowler now for 3 solid years. I was ALL SET to give this bowling alley 5 stars, until I started buying things. $4.10 for a small soda! 10 total games were $70! I could not believe how high the prices were! I stop at bowling alleys in most of the cities I go to and these prices were the highest I’ve seen! They did have nicely maintained #syntheticbowlinglanes a good #proshop with a selection of #bowlingballsforsale and surprising they do #bowlingballcleaning for only $5. Another thing that was a little aggravating was the built in chairs that were crazy close to the tables. Definitely not comfortable for the many, many plus size bowlers I know. So, I was looking at the menu, when an employee asked if I wanted to order. I asked, "we can order from here?" He then said "yes." I order their sampler for $26.99 and 3 sodas which are now $5 since I went last. My total came out to $51 dollars. I asked why so much? He said because they charge an 18% service fee. He should have explained that to me before I ordered. He said that it's posted around, but people can barely see the signs. I then recommended that they put that info on their menu. Never ordering from there again. In case you're wondering why I go, I have a niece that bowls for her HS.

We had a large group of people come in on a Tuesday, and the gentleman at the front desk was rude. The wait staff st the food area were nice, but he was a damper on our time at the alley.

Welcome to a 90's bowling alley. All that's missing is the smoky scent with archeic score keeping software, and music. Expensive all around. If your just there to bowl your good. Don't expect healthy options for food either. Pasteurized alamode. BOWLERO PRICES WITHOUT THE EXPERIENCE.

Company did the party package all you can eat pizza/wings. Pizza wasn't even ready when we got there, had to wait 30 min. Wings another 15 min. Then the "endless" part was non existent .served us once and that's all. Never coming here again.

The lane kept not counting the few strikes I got, the score and names kept glitching, the female staff was actually really rude, but the guys were cool. Oh! And honestly it took 2 entire games just to get our drinks and another one and a half to get our flatbread pizza thing. Honestly it was just an all around bad experience. I spent over $100 there and will never waste my money at this location again. Tip: Don't waste your time there's probably a tournament or lane closure any way.

Lanes were nice but guy in the front with a headband was very rude. I don't understand how anyone can treat customers like they are worthless. 👎

This would not be a 1 star review had it not been for the complete lack of transparency on both the food bills and the shoe/games bill. 1. Server never handed me an itemized bill and said she had to end her shift. Fine. Came back after charging me without mentioning that there was already a gratuity added. Tipped $12 on top of a $10 gratuity because the merchant receipt is extremely vague and doesn’t show the gratuity added. Only after she came back did she place the receipt on the table, folded up. 2. Went to close out the shoes/lane bill and ANOTHER gratuity was added to that also. No mention of that either until I asked him. 3. $155 for 4 people and 3 games after the gratuity. 2 adults/ 2 kids. That is just for the bowling. $230 total The prices are a little crazy but the gratuity receipt situation is ridiculous. Ended up tipping almost $43 to bowl/eat and wasn’t informed by anyone. I was a server for almost a decade and have never seen anything like this. It just seems disingenuous and shady. I’m sure they have a sign posted somewhere where it’s completely out of the way also. If not then whatever. Doesn’t change the fact that it’s shady as hell.

The snack shop wasn't open. 6 workers and only 1 guy literally that can run the grill. Lights on only during league, no other times. Lane condition was very dry. Has to be worst location for bowlero. Highly suggest a corporate visit to this location.

Way too expensive not worth it. 4 games with 1 friend cost me almost $80. We were there only like 2 hours and bought fries, mozzarella bites, and a pizza along with soda that came out to another $50. When I saw $10 per game i figured that meant the lane you were renting not per person playing.

I was Bowling in friday night league and i ordered a cookie at 8pm and did not get it till 9:30 pm. I asked Evan the manager about it and he tried to tell me it takes over 1 hour to make cookies, when i can go get frozen cookie dough from the store and throw in the oven for less that 20 mins and there done. No one on the food side knows what they are doing. I even asked Evan for a refund or give me 1 or 2 more cookies on him for the time it took and he said he can not do that. When they brought the cookie it was cold, i was so mad at it i just threw the cookie in the trash. So disappointed with the cooking crew and management. It is also kept way to cold during the league day where we have to wear jackets. Will not be doing league here anymore. Have complained to management about the temp and said they can not doing anything about it.

Didn't know the tariffs affected bowling alleys 🤣 3 games for 2 people and shoe rentals was 80 dollars. That is INSANE. I have been to bowling alleys that charge 5 dollars for an hour of unlimited games with the same quality of lanes. Actually ridiculous the kind of highway robbery they get away with here

Worst customer service. Place is dirty and unkept. Managers couldn’t care less when issues are brought to their attention. They laugh in your face and continue about their day.

Be careful the chunky guy at the counter doesn't know how to word anything there. He sucks at his job. He told us if we buy 2 games we can get a third for half. So we end up paying and playing, and it's only my boyfriend, my military son and I. We only play one game and then it says we have to go to the desk for the next game so I go ask him do I have to keep coming up here to have you put in the next game and he tells me I only payed for one. I said no you told us three he said no I only charged you for one. So like I said he doesn't know how to talk to customers. Worst experience. Guy has no customer service skills whatsoever. I'd never want someone like that working for me to only lose customers. I would never recommend this place or go back to it.

Expensive, not remotely worth it, 39 dollars for 2 pair of shoes and 3 games, the 2nd game was not worth paying for. It is excessively cold, uncomfortable, it was 43 degrees outside, and I believe they were attempting to match the temperature. The lady at the desk was rude, short, rolling her eyes so much she doesn't even realize it, it's a bowling ally, get over it. 10 minutes to reset a lane in the middle of the game. They were not even that busy. There was one good thing about the outting: leaving.
