Daily specials are worth the trip! The chef came out to check on us and offered suggestions that were spot on! Burger, Spicy Chicken and Seasoned Fries were freshly made and tasty! Will be going back to try other dishes. Friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of free parking. Easy access right off 1604 & Redland Rd.

Great find near our house! We've heard rave reviews and it's all true. The food is phenomenal. The place was packed. Service was slow, but it was packed. There were people waiting for tables. Lots of items to pick from. They all looked delicious and all made from scratch. They have drink specials each night. Give the place a try!

We visited Encore Bar & Grill on Redland and 1604 for yesterday’s lunch. It’s in the same plaza as Gong Cha, Mimosa Gossip, and Hotworx. They’ve been open for a little over 4 months. There are specials every day of the week! I tried the Blue Hawaiian drink special and it was good! Hubby and Dad both had Lemonade. A couple were about to leave and I asked them what they ordered: Reuben, Philly Cheesesteak, and Onion Rings, and all were good. We ordered the Loaded Potato Skins to start. Hubby had the Philly Cheesesteak with Onion Rings instead of fries. I saw the Hong Kong Sea Bass on the menu for $34 and paused momentarily. I rolled the dice for Dad and I to share this and it was a good-sized portion and phenomenal! Gary, the head chef, checked on us several times to ensure we were enjoying the food and that the food quality was good. Reagan was the bartender/server who took good care of us. Encore Bar & Grill reminded me of a local restaurant version of Rocks and Brews. If you’re in the area, check them out!

We came across Encore when looking for new places near the house. We lucked out finding this place. There’s plenty of seating and the staff is so lovely. Everyone was welcoming and happy to share recommendations. Gary, the executive chief, made us an amazing dinner. The best loco moco I’ve had in San Antonio and the fish and chips my partner had was perfect. We will definitely be returning and hope you will too.

We had a quiet lunch on an off-peak holiday afternoon. The food was very, very good; traditional but diverse fare in large, mass quantities at attractive prices, even in today’s $$. I dare you to finish the chicken fried chicken in one sitting and the mashed potatoes did not come out of a bag or a box. They were freshly mashed, I’m guessing by hand, and they were not whipped to death; they actually had potatoes in them! They weee so good I ate the leftovers for breakfast the next day. I recommend you give this place a try. Oh, do you like music..?

The decor is energetic, crisp and plenty of seating, but I can see this place getting crowded. Jeremiah (bartender) was spot-on with my drinks and fast!!. The whole staff is a well oiled machine. I tried the fried mushrooms appetizer and they were delicious (feeds 3); I'll definitely try the loaded potato skins next. Prices were fair and the menu has a nice selection of steaks, sandwiches and appetizers. Give'em a shot..you wont be disappointed!!

This establishment has the best of both worlds. You have a bar for regular customers and an ultra lounge for special events. Both accessible and beautiful with a menu that's easy or fine dining optional. Definitely a spot you want to visit for date night, bachelor parties, birthday parties, company events or private events.

I've come twice with my husband and I couldn't pull myself away from their orange chicken! It's the best I've had in San Antonio by far. My husband had the fish and chips and he said it was the best he's ever had too. I tried it and yes-it's amazing! Portions are large and the service is great. The owner came to our table on both occasions and asked how everything was. I highly recommend this place.

Went for happy hour-nice friendly waitress & bartender- lots of people lots of seating- great music- lots of TV screens-variety of different drinks & beer - food was awesome at our table we ordered hand made pizza, wings, potato skins, hot dog was huge can customize it your way, cheese stixs, deviled eggs with bacon- everything was delicious. Definitely coming back to try the other half of the menu with our friends. We also need to come back for brunch - heard it is very good from other customers that are regulars. Cant say enough about there staff- they do a great job - great customer service. Gotta try this place!!!!

It’s so awesome when you find a great place that’s locally owned and aims to serve the community it’s in. Give this spot a try. You won’t regret it.

This place was absolutely amazing. The owner and staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, which instantly makes you feel at home. The food is fantastic. The wings are outstanding, and the burgers are incredibly juicy and full of flavor. Everything we tried was spot on. This is definitely a place you must check out. I’ll be back for sure.

First time there. Went there for a couple of cocktails and some appetizers prior to meeting some friends for the evening. Great sports bar. Lots of TVs. Great service, great cocktails, great food. If it were closer to where we lived, we would likely stop in often, but we will certainly remember it when we are in the area. They will be expanding into a very nice lounge area with a second bar and a stage area soon.

Encore Bar and Grill is a fantastic spot! I dined in recently for the first time and had an awesome experience. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. It’s clear the staff takes pride in making sure guests feel taken care of. We would come back. I recommend trying this restaurant. I see the potential and effort here, but i can tell its still new and in the process of expanding. I love that they had SUCH A HUGE MENU! With many different options. They had large portions (large chicken in chicken fried chicken) and put a lot of effort into their meals. I really see that the chef cared about his work and works hard. Personally at this visit I'd recommend maybe less garlic in the pasta and either check the oil or fry for less time... BUT I'd absolutely come back and try other food options! They had great drink options, but maybe the presentation could be better to keep up with other business competition. It gives rough sports bar vibes with the slot machines, chairs, and decor, but they have way beyond "bar food"

We had the chicken and waffles (Yum and filling), the French toast, chicken fried steak with eggs(yum), bacon, and sausage omelet(filling). All the food was dressed nicely on the plates. Very favorable. We had the pizza to go. It was ok. We're not a thin crust family. The server was amazing and friendly. She was very attentive. The manager, Gary, is awesome and very professional and friendly. The bathrooms need a good cleaning. We will be back.

First time trying this place, and we will be back. It's not your typical bar and grill. They have all kinds of food. The drinks aren't that bad. The food was great! Went in on a quiet night. Service was pretty fast. Food pretty good. Pretty cramped. Too many tables too close together. They have a lounge with live band. Full bar. Not cheap. Expensive, actually. They do have a wide variety of food. It is NOT kid friendly. They do allow dogs in bar and grill.

We waited 5+ minutes before we were greeted by our server. The food was good but the servings were insane. My dish was enough for at least 2-3 servings. (I forgot to take pics) I would have definitely enjoyed a more realistic serving. Drinks were good.

We waited for 20 minutes for a couple of beers. Then Other customers came he waited on them skipping us . I was trying to get his attention it didn't work. Finally after 45 minutes he came took our order . I told him I been trying to get your attention and you totally ignored us. The food came for the people that came after us . Then our food . Our food came in batches first the wings it was fine l 15 minutes later the burnt pizza .. I told the waiter are the onion ring coming ? He answered I'll get them ... 20 minutes later after we finish eating the onion rings came .. We had to return them .This experience was so bad. It's Saturday Staff up and get ready with good customer service and food .. It's football play off season please don't be greedy Staff up and get more people to help on the Tables and kitchen...

We waited for 20 minutes for a couple of beers. Then Other customers came he waited on them skipping us . I was trying to get his attention it didn't work. Finally after 45 minutes he came took our order . I told him I been trying to get your attention and you totally ignored us. The food came for the people that came after us . Then our food . Our food came in batches first the wings it was fine l 15 minutes later the burnt pizza .. I told the waiter are the onion ring coming ?
