Amazing icecream that actually tastes like the OG in Thailand! And I'm talking about authenticity, childhood memories, and all the good stuff hat goes in it! I also got the coconut cake that's creamy, moist, and light. Delicious! Thank you guys for bringing the experience to San Diego. MUST GO if you love Thai coconut icecream!
What a gem of a little sweet treat spot! 😍 The cutest decor very lush with plant life. 🪴 Outdoor seating WITH BOOTHS! Indoor seating as well. The drink I got was exceptional with fresh chunks of coconut meat and mango. I also snacked on coconut pancakes and so so good. She offered to warm them for me but i declined. My son got a scoop of chocolate ice cream and he was quite satisfied. The store attendant was friendly and engaging with my son who is 5. Always love that when we're out and about. We will definitely be back!
What a gem of a place! If you like coconut you will LOVE Coco Bomb. We tried the coconut sundae with mango and drizzled milk on top. It was absolutely amazing. The coconut ice cream has the most incredible texture and taste, and the young coconut was a lovely addition. The mango was ripe and sweet. The coconut frappuccino looked fantastic; I can’t wait to try one of those. We purchased a coconut cake to take home. It was good, although I don’t think it’s worth $10, but I’m glad I tried it. The parking is weird, but most people don’t stay long, so it’s not that big of a deal. It’s a cute little place, albeit very small inside. They also have a little front patio to enjoy your sweets. I can’t wait to come back!
Recently tried this place. Definitely a hidden gem. The dessert was fresh, especially the coconut ice cream. I ordered the coconut cake, not too sweet. The boy lou was delicious as well. I took the boy lou hoke, freeze it for a couple of days then warmed it up. Taste great! I love it the atmosphere and love how these dessert are not too sweet !
They have a delicious and authentic coconut ice cream served with tasty mango, which I highly recommend. The Thai tea is authentic, but its quality is inconsistent. Sometimes it's just okay, and other times it's perfect. Nonetheless, I still love the Thai tea from this place and recommend it to anyone wanting to try an authentic version. "Lod chong" here is more like the Singaporean style. I expected the traditional green version served in a bowl with crushed ice. I was excited to see it on the menu, as I've been craving it. However, it turned out to be a cup of Singaporean-style lod chong with colorful boba noodles, served with ice cubes instead of crushed ice, which made it hard to drink. Overall, it's a nice place for Thai desserts.
The freshest coconut ice cream I have ever tasted, paired with a delicious Thai tea. This place is in an interesting location, but absolutely worth checking out. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the restaurant was decorated very cutely. Their homemade Thai tea was delicious, and the coconut sundae was very refreshing and the mango was very sweet and fresh!
Coconut heaven!! Coconut ice cream, dessert, pancakes, frappe. All delicious 😋😋😋 This place stands out as you drive by the Linda Vista area. I was always curious and finally stopped by. Big mistake, now I'm hooked. Coconut ice cream is not too sweet with real coconut shavings, can add toppings like mango, jackfruit, etc. Can't wait to go back. Must stop if you like coconut.
If u love coconut ice cream and tropical ambiance, then u MUST visit Cocobomb! Small shack-like shop specializing in coconut ice cream and other goodies! Has a tropical appeal outside with benches n tables. Nice photo opportunities and inside clean and nice. The best part is the young lady who helped us. She was very friendly and assisted with enthusiasm! My wife had the 3 flavor ice cream sundae with fresh coconut meat and mango toppings. I had a taste n was delicious! I got the coconut milk smoothie.... also with fresh coconut slices inside. So refreshing and delicious. We also got some coconut jelly... nice treat for the road. We live in Fontana and yes those treats made our drive home excellant! We wish they could make one close to us, but if anyone is in San Diego... YOU MUST STOP AT COCOBOMB!
Rite Aid across the street no longer sells Thrifty ice cream, so gave CB a chance. Ordered the 2 scoop with mango for $7. Coconut ice cream was smooth. Mango seemed fresh. Overall enjoyed the combination of both. Wasn’t that busy, but only one person taking orders, making the orders, thus a bit slow. Of course another associate came in after the gal made most of the orders of the moment. He timed it perfectly.
We ordered the coconut mango sundae which is served with slices of mangoes and the coconut flesh. Given that I'm a huge fan of both mangoes and coconut, I was in love with this sundae. The place has an amazing Thai vibe, so make sure you check it out in your next trip to San Diego.
The best coco dessert in San Diego! I love the sticky rice and mango combination with the young coconut and ice cream. The flavor wasn’t sweet and overpowering. I would definitely go back again. To the owners you guys should definitely look for a new location with ample of parking, you would attract more customers. The only thing I didn’t like was parking was hard to find! It’s in a bad location so if you park at the Mexican restaurant eat fast or take it to go cause they will tow your car.
This is my new favorite dessert spot in San Diego! Pretty much everything is vegan-friendly except for the cakes. We got the pandan pudding and the coconut sundae with coconut, pandan, and Thai tea ice cream. Everything tasted incredible, but our favorite was definitely the coconut ice cream since it had the richest texture. You can tell the ingredients are very fresh and high-quality. We will definitely be coming back to try out the other desserts.
It’s a South East Asian style dessert you don’t know you need it (but I know 😉). It’s exotic, delicious, not overly sweet, and makes you full. The young coconut meat, sliced mango combined with Asian flavor ice cream like coconut, mango, pandan, thai tea, and pandan are heaven on my tastebuds. They do have a boring standard flavor like vanilla and chocolate, if you’re not that adventurous 😂 Don’t forget to always add the sticky rice, the best texture for toppings. Their coconut pancakes (ba bin) were good too, if you’re into chewy pancakes with a coconut meat in it. Will be back for other drink and dessert. They need a better parking arrangement, the parking was so limited. Price was 👍 Service was friendly ❤️
Absolutely love this place! Coco Bomb makes amazing house-made ice cream that’s both dairy-free and gluten-free. We ordered a sundae where we could pick three flavors—went with pandan, coconut, and mango. The coconut ice cream was especially flavorful, bringing back memories of Thailand! For toppings, I chose sticky rice instead of mango (which most people go for), and I highly recommend trying it—it tastes so authentic. I’m already missing this shop and wondering if I can go back again this week! If you’re a fan of tropical flavors, this spot is a must-visit.
So delicious! We’ve got coconut sundae (coconut, iced Thai tea and pandan flavor) and they are all tasty.
Pretty cool place, I really liked the food and the pricing felt fair. It’s very clean and has more seating than I expected after reading other reviews. There’s outside seating that has some good decoration around it. The staff were nice and service was fast. My only issue is the parking situation. You can park right outside in the alleyway, but there are only 2, maybe 3 spots if people park close together. There are some lots further down, but I’m not sure how strict they are on parking in those. I’d definitely recommend going here.
Soooo delicious! The mango ice cream and pandan ice cream was amazing! The sundae was a good price, 3 scoops in a coconut bowl with a free topping for $10. It was good enough for two people
I’ve been coming here for quite a while and always enjoy their ice cream, especially the coconut and mango flavors. But on my recent visit, I noticed they had mango sticky rice on the menu, so I decided to give it a try, and I completely fell in love with it. Everything was perfectly balanced. The sticky rice was soft, the mango was sweet and fresh, and the sesame seeds added a really nice touch. It all came together beautifully. The wait can be a bit long at times, but it’s absolutely worth it. This place can take all my money!!! it truly lives up to the hype. Everything I’ve tried here has been consistently good.
Many people on Red Note recommended this place. So we took our two ice cream lovers to this place to have a try. It was a blast! Tried coconut sundae with vanilla, chocolate and coconut ice cream scoops first (very traditional and safe choices made by my kids, ;)), and couldn't help ordering another sundae with three other flavors, mango, thai iced tea and pandan. All flavors were yummy!!! The only thing was the parking. Limited parking space even though we arrived around the closing time. But it is easy to walk in, grab your food and go. Highly recommended!!
Really good experience. It felt super home-y, the food/desserts were great. I was able to take with me the coconut container in which the item was place. The coconut was super fresh, included in slices, so if you are into coconut, I highly recommend trying Coco Bomb. The interior design was unique and also added to the vibe of being artisanal and home-like. Good workmanship and service.
This place is always welcoming and delicious 😋 it is a smaller location but somehow we always end up with a seat. Everyone who works there is so patient and polite. Love the ice cream Sunday and the whole coconut water that once you are done they open your coconut and you can eat the meat. This place has turned me into a coconut addict! Also I love the mobile cocobomb! Catch them at you local farmers market
great place and great flavors of the ice cream and specially that it comes toped off with fresh coconut and mango and the music played here is very good
Fantastic! I had some mango sticky rice and sat outside in a tucked away seat surrounded by flowers and greenery and just relaxed for awhile. It was wonderful! The gal behind the counter let me try the ice cream flavors and WOW! They are so good!! I got some Thai Tea ice cream to take home! I also asked about gluten free options and she called to double check one of the candies that they made. Gluten free and vegetarian options are clearly marked on the countertop menu as well! Fantastic place and I’ll definitely be back.
The service is good . I was greeted with a smile which is always nice. I had the coconut Sunday and the mango sticky rice! A M A Z I N G!
Great little hideaway for a refreshing, tropical dessert. Really enjoyed the combination of ripe, cool mango with sweet sticky rice and coconut milk sauce. Their coconut bowl with three scoops of ice cream was a nice balance of creaminess and sweetness from the ice cream and the fresh mango. Comparing the flavors - the coconut flavor was delicate and light. The pandan with a bit more body. The mango ice cream was sweet and full of flavor. Recommend trying the Thai tea flavor by itself first (without the other fruits / flavors) to enjoy its traditional flavor. The coconut pancakes were rich and hearty. They reminded me of butter mochi stuffed with shredded coconut. Coco Bomb is highly recommended for a warm summer day!
A hidden gem in San Diego! This small Thai store was the most impressive dessert place that I’ve been during this holiday. The store was clean and decorated warmly with a lovely patio. There were only four flavors of their ice cream. Each flavor gave me a unique and decent taste except mango flavor (too normal). Highly recommend their mango coconut bowl with three flavors ice cream. The mango and coconut tasted fresh and juicy. Their mango sticky rice was distinct, which I had never tasted. I was not quite into the rice, but it was worth it to try. Their Thai coconut jelly was also amazing without too much sugar as a dessert. This dessert place is absolutely a heaven for people who love mango, coconut, and Thai style dessert.
Yummy ice cream at Cocobomb! Love the decor and vibe of the cafe. Super friendly staff and authentic Thai flavors. We ordered just two scoops of chocolate and coconut ice cream with mango and it tasted really refreshing! Small shop that’s easy to miss, but definitely worth a visit!
It took me back to thailand when I had their 3 scoop ice cream with mango in a coconut shell. That coconut ice cream is simply delicious. Their seating is limited. They had other items on the menu however I only tasted the 3 ice cream coconut combo. Next time I'll try the stick mango rice and I'll update.
I've been to Coco Bomb several times, but today I finally got a chance to review. Every time I go, I spend $20-$30 because I can't decide on just one option, so I take a few: Coconut Milk Frappuccino, Coconut Cake, Lava Moon Cake, and Coconut Sundae with Mango to go. Their Thai desserts are delicious, especially the Coconut Ice Cream, which reminds me of Thailand with its authentic coconut flavor and scent that I can't find anywhere else in San Diego. The staff are friendly, and I've even met the owners, who are down-to-earth.
Amazing Thai dessert place very authentic I loved the Thai pandas and Mango seriously so bomb!!!!!
Really cute shop! Love the coconut ice cream bowl! Got 3 different flavors of the ice cream but highly recommend the coconut one! Coconut smoothie is funny, light taste at the first sip then a strong coconut flavor after 10 minutes, really tasty after all that melting! Just had a hard time finding the parking spot.
Please try it! I saw a TikTok video and was instantly craving the Coconut Sundae, it was even more amazing than I expected. Honestly, one of the most delicious desserts I’ve ever had! You might wait around 10 minutes in line, but once they take your order, everything moves quickly. Everything is super fresh and clean. And the customer service? Absolutely incredible! This is the first time in San Diego that I’ve visited a place where you can truly feel how much the staff loves what they do. The guys were so kind and helpful, major shoutout to them for their amazing service!
I found this place on Instagram and it was amazing. I ordered the mango sticky rice !! It was so nostalgic being able to enjoy one of my favorite childhood treats but with the luxury of being to go. I definitely recommend this spot!
First discovered coco bomb at the Little Italy Farmer’s market. When I found out they had a physical store location that I could go to any day of the week, I was so excited! I fell in love with the mango sticky rice here, but the star of the show is definitely the coconut ice cream with the fresh coconut flesh and mango slices, and it’s presented so beautifully! Unlike other coconut desserts, the ones at Coco Bomb have a great balance and don’t feel too heavy. Super refreshing dessert!
The local favorite Thai style Ice-cream foodie. It's not in a populated area but there are always many visitors and customers here. The whole decoration is in a traditional Southern Asia style, making customers feel really stay in Thai with the Coconut Tree. They have limited dine-in spaces while there would be some other outside tables. The Sundae Icecream is a huge one with 3 different flavors like coconut, vanilla, chocolate, mango and padan, which all have a smooth taste. There would be the coconut slice as well as one side like sticky rice or mango. One can also try the coconut water, frapuchino and other Thai specialized snacks here. The staff are really welcoming and love to give suggestions during the ordering process.

The pandan and mango ice cream flavors are my favorite. I loved the coconut sundae.🍨 Great presentation 🥥 The place smelled heavily of bleach, which was a bit off-putting, but aside from that, it was a wonderful experience experience.

Friendly service, beautifully decorated location, the food amazing and you can tell they use quality ingredients. Highly recommend!
Cute little shop with both indoor and outdoor seating. Coconut sundae was good! Cashier was very nice. Would love to see them use reusable utensils rather than plastic ones going to the landfill. Wishing the best for this business!

Walked here from Linda Vista park for something to drink. Its a cute location with fun decorations. My daughter loved her Pink Drink with boba🧋I had the Iced Latte which was okay. Loved the marketing 👌
It was good, yet it just did not hit all the buttons for me. The ice cream market is on fire in San Diego, and this place is a fair choice, yet not my first choice.
