This spot is a hidden gem in Glen Park! I come here often and always enjoy the cozy vibe. It’s a local favorite, so it does get busy on weekends. The crêpes are delicious—my go-to is the strawberry banana Nutella, perfectly balanced to satisfy a sweet tooth without being overly sugary. The owner, who also does the cooking, is incredibly kind and welcoming. The coffee is great too, and the ambiance makes it a lovely place to relax. Conveniently, it’s just a 5-minute walk from the Glen Park BART. They accept both cash and Venmo.
Fantastic savory florentine crepe and a latte was just what I needed to start my day! Thank you for the excellent service and delicious breakfast.
We absolutely love this neighborhood gem. Best crepes in the city (don’t miss the florentine - hits every time). Also Manhal’s lattes are 🔥.
The food, AMAZING. The Nutella crepe was really light and fluffy tasting and I wouldn’t consider it as an overpowering sweetness. The decor was really cute really gave a vintage vibe. The wait was kind of long (15-20 min)but not really considering there were two workers. (I think everyone was talking about 1 person cooking all the food and 1 person serving the food and helping out in the kitchen, and yes the cook is really old, very impressive)
This croissant French toast was amazing crispy on the outside, soft and buttery inside. The fresh strawberries and whipped cream made it even better. Super tasty and a great twist on the classic. Would totally order again.
I was told this is a solo operation, although he has gotten it down to a nice rhythm. He manages his business well enough for one person. I had expected long wait times and stacks of dishes, but just a stack. Because it's a solo business, expect empty condiments and longer wait times, but he is responsive and well aware of his surroundings. I ordered the simple Italian and I enjoyed it. If I was to say one bad thing about his operation is handling money and food at the same time. He does use tongs, so surprisingly is the best word to describe his business.
Cash only. This place is a delight! I love the atmosphere, and the crepes! Definitely a highlight of Glen Park. Limited outdoor seating is available and it's in a fun location. My favorite crepe is the shrimp. In addition to a lot of shrimp, it also has tomato sauce, tomato, mushroom, capers, garlic, spices, mozzarella cheese, and lemon. It is so tasty and I love the capers. Crepes come with a side of home style potatoes and a spring mix salad with a refreshing and light dressing.
I love this place! One man runs it all, he is truly amazing. The food is delicious, coffee is great. Always enjoy the atmosphere. Cash only so come compared. Definitely a great breakfast spot. Always leave with a happy and full stomach.
The coffee is good. The food was cooked perfectly and was tasty. Friendly service. I’d recommend. It’s a place to relax and be patient. Be kind when you show up and you’ll get a tasty experience.
I highly recommend going to this place. The people there are all very friendly and the atmosphere is very light hearted. This place is a one man show, taking orders in the front, making food in the open kitchen and keeping up the coffee. The (presumable) owner runs the shop on his own, so the food does take a bit of time. The customers did not seem to mind though, all of them seeming to be understanding. If you're in a rush, this place is not for you. I ordered to go, getting a bacon, egg and cheese bagel, and it was very good. The cheese was gooey and melted all over inside of the egg. The bacon bits were plentiful enough that each bite I took, there was always some in it. The bagel was toasted well and was a good vessel for the protein. All in all, a good experience and nice to see local shops doing very well. I would come back and get a sit down meal next time.
This place is cool. There aren’t many cafes like this anymore in SF, the cafes we grew up with. I like to come here just to experience good neighborhood vibes and conversation Cash only, has Venmo though!
Terrific coffee, mixed blends and iced cafe au lait was so good!! Espresso single shot was good too. Shrimp crepe: liked the capers! Friendly owner ! Especially liked the rustic deco and various monthly art work from local artists.
My wife came here often 30 years ago we came back to visit same owner hadn't changed prices great everything good
So happy they are back open!! All of the ingredients are fresh and delicious. I've had most of the crepes on the menu and you really can't go wrong though my faves are the pesto and cannelloni. Cash only but there are atms just around the corner. I've lived in the bay for years and this is hands down my favorite place for brunch! Still just as delicious to go for lockdown.
This is my kinda place to eat. Casual and delicious. We sat in the window seat and tried all the kinds of crepes. I had the Florentine. Nothing about it is fast, so take you time and eat slow. It’s worth it!!

Cute and cozy place, friendly staff, and delicious crepes… tomato sauce is amazing, the food feels homemade and healthy… highly recommend, it’ll be one of my go to places.
The place is very small, very busy, but very good. The coffee was absolutely incredible and there were so many omelettes! There were just 2 guys working, but they were hustling! Everything was amazing.
Nice little coffee and food place in the village. A great assortment of Crepes, bagels, and egg based dishes. Quick and friendly service. The dining area has a very homely feel about it.
Excellent strawberry and banana crêpes that came with a side of whipped cream. The coffee was alright. Service was competent. They only take cash. The decor was old school, as if we had stepped into an establishment from an earlier era. I was not a huge fan of the atmosphere as the surroundings seemed old and rundown. That said, the place was clean.
"hole in the wall" type of place, one man show with food made with love... you can tell it is special. delicious and thoughtfully made and just really really great. definitely want to go back and bring folks i love!
One of my favorite places in Glen Park, partly because it is so fitting for our "Village." I like the cozy, intimate vibe; I feel like a valued neighbor. The owner is amazingly energetic and efficient. I feel very welcome! The food is plentiful, delicious, and very reasonably priced. And I love the coffee! Higher Grounds is a treasure in Glen Park Village!
The food is amazing! The staff & owner, even though busy because it’s so popular, are warm & welcoming. My new favorite eatery in SF!!!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at lunchtime on the SF Crosstown trail. The omelettes are delicious and come with a fresh green salad and a generous serving of potatoes. Our friends had the very tasty crepes. We loved the atmosphere, the service was excellent and the owner made us feel welcome. He is amazing!
It’s impressive how one elderly man was managing everything on his own—kudos to him for being so energetic at his age! This is a charming, cozy spot with plenty of crepe options. I tried the "Borgia Coffee," which had a delightful flavor, though it was a bit on the sweeter side. The "Curry Crepe" was a unique find—I haven’t seen it offered anywhere else! The flavor was fantastic, but there was a bit of a potato overload, with both the filling and sides consisting primarily of potatoes. Perhaps swapping out the sides for something different would create a better balance.
