Opinions de Noriega Teriyaki House San Francisco
Been eating at this local restaurant since I was a kid & it hits the spot every time! They've been operating for 30+ years & we always feel right at home with their friendly service. Fish is always fresh, presentation is super pretty & everything we order is yummy every time 🔥 I even got my co-workers hooked and we order party trays for our office lunches time to time. Got take out this time for a family dinner and ordered some classics along with some of their newer rolls: fried calamari rings, California Roll, Tempura Roll, Spider Roll, Lion King Roll, Aloha Roll (New!), Crustacean Roll (New!), Radiant Roll (New!) and Coral Reef Roll (New!). They even gave us some homemade dessert on the house (they include these for to-go orders)--these were a not-too-sweet (the best compliment from an Asian household lol) treat to finish off the delicious meal! Thank you to the Noriega Teriyaki team for coming through every time, I'm already drooling thinking of my next order 🤤 LOL (also posted on Yelp)
The food here is absolutely amazing and delicious! The sushi is always a hit, and the sashimi is fresh with perfect taste and texture. The staff is incredibly friendly, and our office loves ordering catering from this restaurant. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch Japanese cuisine!
I have been here multiple times, usually when I am craving for some sushi or when I am in the area and want to get something different. This place is a plus in the neighborhood, because there are not many sushi spots within the district. The staffs here are very welcoming, well trained and understanding where I never had an issue in any of my visits. Their menu consists of Japanese appetizers, sushi rolls, specialty rolls, sashimi, dinner sets, desserts, etc. For dine in, you can choose booth seating, bar counter or regular table seating. Everything is made to order which is just how I like it and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. I highly recommend this place to all sushi enthusiasts, to anyone looking for a laid back spot or if you just happen to be within the area. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.
I came here last weekend and the last time I came here was back in 2007-2008ish! So it's been awhile. The setup obviously is now different compared to before. The prices for the sushi are very fair. We got the sushi boat, emperor's roll and one other roll but I forgot the name (it was also raw). By the end, we were so full! We definitely could have ordered one less roll. Customer service was great and their free tea was delicious! There is no parking lot, only street parking. Luckily, parking here isn't too difficult.
This place is amazing! Boy oh boy where do I start. The service was amazing, it turned me into a new person. Before coming I was single, divorced and my ex wife took the kids. After my experience the kids came back and so did my wife. Let’s talk about the food. I’d recommend the chicken and beef teriyaki. Both were so flavorful and tender. Not to mention the free lambo you get with your meal. Truly a 10/10
Have been to this place a few times over the years and they never disappoint! Their service is super fast and the staff is always very friendly and welcoming. There is a variety of Japanese foods to choose from and my personal favorites are their rolls, specifically the Tiger Roll.
Such a random choice delightful surprise yummer meal!! We went to Stern Grove for a concert and then found ourselves in the Sunset hungry for ramen. This little happy and mellow spot was nearby so we gave it a try. The gyoza was crispy tasty and the maguro sushi spot on. The staff were very descriptive and helpful with our menu questions. I went out on a limb and ordered the seafood soup with mixed veggies glass noodles in a clear broth which was great. My partner got the chausu wonton ramen. I loved that as well. We will certainly be back and highly recommend. The table next to us was enjoying some sort of tempura and an assortment of drool worthy sushi rolls, we almost asked them for a taste! (haha just kidding)
My family and relatives been a costumers for so many years and they never change the quality, quantity and the taste of their food! It’s EXCELLENT!
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing!!! Loved the waiters and everyone that worked there, they were all so nice and welcoming. Will definitely be coming here again.
The food was incredible, the tea was hot, and every bite I took reminded me how much I missed west coast Asian food. If you are in the area and trying to decide if Noriega Teriyaki house is a good choice, go for it, you will not regret eating here.

Had dinner at the Noreiga Teriyaki House, we had eating here a few time, sushi always fresh and good. The service was always red carpet even they are very busy. We did not have to wait. Alvin really took care of us. The chicken salad was very good, first time tried that and my family really love it. This time we have a very special sushi dish, off the menu, Salmon Explosion, must try. The remaining dishes were our normal and very good, the boat, unagi maki, fortune roll, dancing roll, pacific roll, and tiger roll. Lots of food for 5 adults.
Fantastic neighborhood spot for sushi! The service is always with a smile and they also do great catering trays for parties.

This unassuming place is one of those neighborhood gems in the outer Sunset District. Noriega Teriyaki House is that intersection of good food and reasonable pricing. Japanese food is notoriously pricey and often the spendy nature of it isn't commensurate to what you get, but whatever floats your boat. The decor is nice, but it is looking a bit tired and dated, not bad though. The food is always good in the dozens of times I've been, so there's consistently happening there. The sushi rolls are good value and their selection is respectable. I find the best time to go there is for lunch or in the afternoon, the food comes quickly and it's easy to get a table.
Food was good. Service was good. Got a bunch of rolls and the sushi tray. I gotta mark it down a star cause all the menus at our table smelled like old rags.
Good price for the quality of the rolls. The teriyaki dinner for two meal was a bit pricey tho.
My first "real job" was working at a bank as a teller. At 19 years old, I felt so professional wearing a button up dress shirt and a tie! Every other week on Fridays, I would get paid and come to Noriega Terriyaki for a combination teriyaki special! Today, I came for my last meal of 2020. I ordered some teriyaki combo and this Sakura platter ($75).😋 Fresh sashimi and rolls! Sayonaraさよなら 2020!

1-14:2025: Service was mediocre at best. Not attentive and no people skills. 1-17-2025: We tried again on Friday night. The food is good, the service was a little better with a different staffing.

I ordered from Noriega Teriyaki for delivery. The order was made and arrived quickly. Unfortunately, what I received was not what I ordered. I expected to get a tempura appetizer and two sushi rolls. Instead I got a tempura entree and a container of beef broth with noodles (no meat and no vegetables). The tempura didn’t come with the normal dipping sauce. The tempura was also on the greasy side. And the noodle soup was just bad. The bag that the delivery came in had no writing on the outside and no receipt attached to the bag. At least writing my name or address on the bag might help with a potential mix up. So I’m this case I blame the restaurant for not taking the necessary delivery steps to ensure a good customer experience.
Sushi deluxe combo was fine, not the best but not the worst. Problem was fish cake udon. I am a guy who likes to have sushi with good warm udon. But the udon was like the worst udon in my life, I would enjoy cheap grocery store instant udon 100 times better. Noodle was undercooked, soup tasted nothing but water, fish cake was like a freaking rubber. So I asked the server if this was rushed because the cook forgot my order (sushi came out quickly but I had to wait udon for a long time which is not normal since I was pretty much only one in the hall.) And she said that is normal. I was expecting different answer but that answer proves your food is just bad. Delayed food, nothing special sushi. I only gave one more star since sushi was edible at least, not like udon. I barely touched that udon. Shame on you charge money to people on that gabarge.

Restaurant is filthy inside and out. You can smell the carpet(Gross). paint inside dining room/restaurant has mold and dirt on it. I’m attaching reference pictures to show I’m not exaggerating. Hvac vents have mold growing on it. Cement is dirty outside and stained from dirt. Dining room smells like cleaning solution and dirty laundry. Even the bonsai pond has murky dirty water. The fake tree hasn’t been dusted in clearly 20 years. I had a roll that tasted of expired fish (spicy tuna) Tasted old so I sent It back. The waiter had the audacity to tell us since we ate a few pieces they still have to charge us half of the $14 roll. Like what is even the debate? You are serving old fish. I didn’t like it. So take it off the tab!! It’s unacceptable. I worked in restaurant/hospitality so I can speak from experience. Staff is rude and ignored me when I left And very unapologetic for serving expired food. In conclusion : Restaurant is filthy. No pride in quality. Fish is frozen and very fishy.
