This is a classic family run restaurant! The no frills old school vibe is fantastic. We stopped in for Easter Sunday brunch and we had a great experience.

Had a wonderful brunch. Great atmosphere and steady customers. Service was quick and food was served hot and was very tasty! Staff was very friendly and coffee was good!

So we have been driving by this place for quite some time. We decided to try it because of the 4.4 reviews and it was an ok place for breakfast. I had the steak and eggs, and my wife had the bacon and eggs. Now this place is pretty average as breakfast places go, there was nothing that stuck out about the food that was great. The steak I had was just ok, pretty chewy and not the greatest steak, the coffee was good and everything else was just average. The service was excellent and the reason I didn't give it a 3 star was because of the waiter, he was very attentive to our needs and was overall great. Would we come back here?? Probably not, there are a ton of average breakfast places and we always are on the lookout for a great one.

Came here and had a delicious brunch with kind and responsive staff, as well as pretty minimal waiting time. Food was priced decently - I had the waffle with fresh strawberries. The waffle was soft and the powdered sugar complemented it well. Sara’s kitchen has been here for a while now and it sure makes sense why!

Typical diner atmosphere but with not so tasty food. The hype around this place doesn't live up to its expectations. Service was not that great. Our kid stroller was almost forced between the tables. Food tasted just okay, not anything great. Overpriced. I wish I never visited there.

We came to this spot as part of a regular get together with friends, and our friend chose it because it is her birthday month. First, the table service was attentive and friendly. We got multiple coffee and water refills, and our food came out relatively quickly. The restaurant was smallish and a typical diner/cafe. My wife and I shared the "hangover" breakfast, which had 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns and a short stack. The savory items were tasty, and they had a variety of sauces. The pancakes could have used a bit more flavor, though. We also shared the biscuits and gravy. As a native Texan, I consider myself to be an experienced B&G reviewer, and I often order it as a benchmark in a restaurant that's new to me. This order was not bad, but did not meet my B&G ideal. The serving size was good, with two biscuits. However, the biscuits were a little tough, and the gravy was a little thin and less flavorful than I cherish. My wife and another friend (who also ordered a gravy item) agreed with me. At the end of the meal, we went up to the counter to pay. The cashier interrupted my multiple efforts to explain how we wanted to pay. As a result, we were unable to treat our friend to her birthday meal. This was especially confusing because we were the only ones in line to pay at the time and there didn't seem to be a need to rush us. If a friend wanted to return here, I would consider it. But it wouldn't be my first choice.

We ordered all kinds of vegetarian eggs; scrambled, omelette. They all come with some kind of potatoes and fruit or toast. The food was okay. Not much taste in it. Maybe the ones with meat might have some taste. The place is nice, sweet and cozy. The service is really good. It’s a good hangout.

Used to love this place, but recently they kept pork in a veggie omelette (happens). The issue was that they refused to apologize or recognize the mistake, accusing us of trying to get a free meal despite having been there multiple times in the past. Left a bad taste, which was disappointing because it was becoming a local favorite

I came all the way from Fremont for breakfast, but as soon as I walked in, the lady at the front was unbelievably rude—the rudest I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. I regret wasting my time and will not be coming back to this location.

12/2/16/2023, should have read my prior review. Same rating. This time owner has negative remarks for staff. Was going to charge me $7 for onion rings when menu says reg $5, large $10. I had ordered reg. She gave $2 off but I was still being charged $7 tax. Definitely last time coming to this place. 2/27/2022 at 9:24am. Have been here 11/27/2016 and 1/27/2018 and never had the owner be so rude towards me. Previous recent posting shows that I am not the only person to be rudely treated. Place was not crowded. Was told to sit anywhere we wanted. Waited 5 minutes to get a menu handed for 3 people to share. Waiter took our order and did not tell us "No Substitutions". At top right corner of menu, it says "No Substitutions". The owner delivered our food. Showed her that what the waiter wrote does not match what is being served. She acted very upset at us and said "No Substitutions" and walked away. According to menu, teriyaki chicken with Asparagus comes with rice. Waiter wrote no rice substitute fries. We were expecting fries. When we try to show owner she kept saying "No Substitutions" and walked away. Not a big deal. But how about the Teriyaki Mushroom cheesesteak? We ordered Teriyaki Mushroom cheesteak. Menu says Teriyaki Mushroom cheese steak comes with rice. You serve with french roll. Owner refused to acknowledge that I got french roll. You can see in the picture, I got french roll.Also, what about mushrooms? Can you find mushrooms in the picture? Yes, I could find 2 slivers of mushrooms. Owner was rude in not wanting to listen to the fact that the food served does not match the menu or what the waiter wrote. Essentially, walks away so I had to eat what was not on the menu. I feel like I had to eat what they serve me. I did have the option to pay for the coffee and leave the food untouched since the food served did not match what was on the menu or written on the bill. See attached pictures. Never had been so rudely treated as if I wanted to take advantage of the restaurant. All I was seeking was an apology of the order misunderstanding and the waiter should have told us "No Substitutions". This would have resolved the Teriyaki chicken with Asparagus over rice. An honest mistake. I am still confused about the menu Teriyaki Mushroom cheesteak over rice. Why did I get a french roll when the menu said no french roll.
