Had the Hickory burger and it was very good.

Great local burger joint. Small town vibe. Delicious dive. Burgers really hit the spot and everything was hot and fresh. Large seating capacity so you can go there any time and not have to worry about not having a seat. It's easy to spot right on the main drag headed into town. Service was good and it seemed like a local favorite as well. Well established. If you buy the big mug you get $.50 future refills. Highly recommend.

According to my husband, this was the best burger he’s ever had! Great prices, comes out fast and fresh. I had a stuffed baked potato loaded and topped with grilled chicken. It was nice to have a burger alternative when I wasn’t in the mood for a burger, but everyone else was. Def going to stop in again next time we drove through Seguin.

They have a huge variety of things that you can get and they’re accommodating about making things lettuce wraps when you’re not wanting a burger on a bun. The salads here are exceptional as well.

Always prompt with their service and always caring. Their food happens to be some of the best burgers in the area. With food of a better quality than the places around it, the only thing that detracts from it is it's decor reminiscent of a 1950's style that is missing a few flourishes to give it the true feel for it. This is easily made up for by its much quicker than average take out window which can be even faster if ordering ahead through their app or a quick call. Go in the evening on the weekends if you're a fan of classic cars as that's when the car club tends to show up and gives it that appeal that it seems to just barely miss. Always good for a burger that has actual taste, maybe the second best in Seguin; but I urge you to try for yourself if not for the flavor, then for the experience itself.

Just want to give a shoutout about Kirby’s Corner restaurant in Seguin,TX. We’ve always had delicious, well made meals each time we’re there. My favorite are their salads. They are always so fresh and filled with delicious goodness. Their portions are generous and they are as appetizing to look at as they are to eat. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere welcoming. If you’re hungry go to Kirby’s!

I wish I could give them 5 stars for food, even though they have some of the best tasting burgers in the San Antonio area. Unfortunately, the cajun fries and the onion rings were well below par. I could not recommend either of those items. Everything else was great. I will be trying the reg fries and tater tots next time. My cousin and I both had the double bacon cheeseburger. He had it with a regular bun, and I had it with Texas Toast. We other preferred it with TT. I may not drive out here for this burger, BUT if I am driving through, there won't be any other place I am going!!!!

What a great accidental find! Two other restaurants we wanted to visit were closing at 3:00 and it was 2:40. The menu looked like it wasn't just burgers so we tried it. The burgers are their top item, but the shrimp poorboy was delicious! The fried pickles were some of the best we've had. And the broccoli cheese soup hit the spot. I wanted the soup primarily and was able to get half a poorboy. I'd bet anything is delicious. Too bad we don't live in Seguin, but we'll be back.

First time ever going to Kirby’s, even though I lived in seguin literally half my life. They were busy but the food was amazing and came out correctly. I had the fish sandwich and OMG it was good. I don’t mind waiting for good food. There is a reason they have been in the same location forever and it shows 💕

This place offers a great place for kids and families. Prices are reasonable. I feel like the could add some outdoor games like giant, tik tac toe , giant connect four or table top games for kids. The wait time for food is about 2-5 min.

I lived in SA for over 7 years and was my first time trying this restaurant. I got the atkins option, but it was delicious 😋. The sweet potato tots were amazing as well

The fried pickles are the honest, good natured, and hardworking fried pickles that any American would be happy to have serve along side their burger. Service was friendly and the building was clean. Better than any fastfood chain. I would definitely eat here again.

It was our first time and we really enjoyed the trip. THe burgers are solid. They used fresh ingredients and didnt skimp on the bacon or FRESH avocado, which I really appreciate. The sides were good, I wouldn't say they were extraordinary, but we'll priced. We tried mozzarella sticks, onion rings and curly fries. Enjoyed them all. The restaurant was clean, nothing fancy, and really does it need to be? It's a burger joint. The staff was friendly and I was especially impressed with how one of the servers handled a rather "challenging" customer while we were there. Definitely our place to go for good burgers in Seguin.

This little hideaway is a real gem. It may be hard to find but a must visit. The staff was so helpful and the location draws mostly local customers— all the better as it indicated the food and service as right for the community—not a tourist trap. I highly recommend the lamb shank. One of the finest in all my travels—fall off the bone tender and so flavorful. It was served over garlic mashed potatoes with this most amazing gravy!! This dish fulfilled my goal of eating an amazing lamb dish while in Ireland. Two of us ordered this and both were impressed. Others ordered the hamburger. This is one giant sandwich. No one could finish this luscious taste treat—not even with help from spouses. The wine was nice but a quite limited. I would expand the wine offerings. We thought we were all full but I convinced the table to share the Zingy Lemon Posset with Rasberrys and creme. We were all blown away by this wonderfully light and palate cleansing end to dinner. A great spot at a hidden intersection of Southern Ireland.

Son wanted a burger so we decided to come here. We placed our order through the drive thru, their menu was visual so that was pretty cool! Tried the mozzarella sticks fries and had one of the their specialty hot dogs too. Everything was good.

Cool venue. Really nice with a big outdoor area for seating and games. I got a carry out due to storms in the area. Got 2 Bacon avocado burgers that were really good. The wife didn't like the fries because the were not crispy. Food was good and next time I will dine in.

Food is really good, pretty expensive for fast food. Great onion rings. Drive thru employee was surly and so disinterested it was no mystery how our order got mixed up. This was my second time here and want to know why they put fries and onion rings at the bottom of the bag to get completely soggy by the time you get them home.

The food was okay. My burger was smashed when places in the bag. I got the Cajun fried and they basically tasted like the frozen Checkers fries from the grocery store. The food is way overpriced for the mediocre quality. They are not the fastest, but that wasn't really a big deal. They have the radio blaring so I would recommend dining in, especially not if you want to have a conversation.

Our first visit and they messed up our drive-thru order. However, they were very quick to correct the order, treating it as a priority issue in spite of the fact that it was dinner time on a Friday. We were impressed and will be back again. Customer service is a forgotten art that Kirby's has not forgotten.

We used the drive-thru, so I couldn't say how the atmosphere was aside from the restaurant seemed clean and the board was readable, the speaker was loud. We had to repeat our order a few times to correct which burger was a 'single' versus 'double' and fortunately the order was read back to us so we could catch that. Also, the request to leave off onions was honored which is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately they were out of tots, which was a pretty big disappointment for a place called Kirby's that offers "Kirby's Tots." The cajun fries were basically Arby's curly fries and were fine. The burgers were very good and a highlight. For two burgers and fries we had a little wait, but for fresh food it was worth it. Their menu has other items we'd like to try and the variety there is appreciated.

I read an article about a great burger place in Seguin, so since we were driving through, we stopped in. The burger is very good. The meat is high quality, juicy and flavorful. The kids chose chicken tenders and a corn dog. They looked OK, but nothing special. My gripe would be the nickel and dimeing of things. 10 cents for each water cup when you're charging $8-11 for a burger with no sides is a bit petty. And a dollar and change for a tiny cup of gravy that you don't even fill up all the way is unacceptable. Kudos to whichever employee or manager who decided to bring one out to my daughter a few minutes later, because that person is the only reason that this is a 4* review and not a 2*. Cajun fries are basic curly seasoned fries and are not spicy., in case your trying to decide how spicy 'cajun' might be.

The service and atmosphere is what makes this place about 4 stars for me. The staff was super friendly and attentive to the customers even with the short staff and the steady amount of people coming in during the dinner rush. Laid back setting with plenty of seats both inside and outside. The food I rated 3 stars as the burgers are bland with like no seasoning on the meat. On top of that when you order the meal you would expect to get your fries with it but unless you specifically say fries they won't give you any. For the price I paid for a family of 4 ( $80 you the food was not worth that in the end.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with amazing customer service & the person at the register was very helpful when we said we needed a minute, since it was our first time. It was nice to see actual slices of avocado on the burger and not a spread & the onion rings were delicious! The prices were a bit high for a burger but I'm glad we tried it out on our way to SA.

Well I will get right to it. Our first time here. Only 3 cars ahead of us in line a a couple waiting in the rear parking lot for their food to be delivered. And I have to say, they were pretty fast getting our food to us. Their system seems to work for them well. Friendly to take our order and Friendly to deliver it to us in that waiting area. She confirmed our order, and I can say it was all there. It was correct. Wahoo! We had the bacon cheese avocado burger meal with regular fries and Dr Pepper. The Tex burger meal with Cajun fries and a kids cheese burger meal. And a side of fried pickles. My Avocado bacon cheese burger pictured here was about as good as it gets. Really good. Fresh, good amount of toppings and the exact taste you are looking for. My only problem was the meat was a bit over cooked. Regular fries were a hit or miss. The seasoning was delicious on the fries but not all fries were seasoned. A few were perfect and a few were soggy. Kids cheese burger meal was very good. The tex burger was eaten before I could get a picture. So, I guess it's a thumbs up for that one. The fried pickles might be the best I ever had. Yes I said it. Shocking, we we too. We split an order, but next time I'll have to order more. The Cajun fries were a miss. Crunchy but without much flavor. I sampled 2 pieces and that was enough for me. Summary, if the burger was a bit less done, regular fries a bit more attention to, and not order the Cajun fries it would have been my first 5 star rating for a to go meal. With both a large indoor and outdoor sitting area, kirby's has lots of room. The menu is burgers and fish mainly. Everything is order as you need. So the fries, sides and drinks are ordered separately and and not included with most of the main meals. Some do include the fries. A meal averages $9. Ordered the Cod fish and chicken tenders. Both were good and would order again. Bathrooms are single use, male and female. Females bathroom is clean, the males is clean but could use something to alleviate the unpleasant odor. There is a drive through for those not wanting to go inside. Overall would recommend and eat here again.

Food was really good, chicken was fresh and hot, fish could have been cooked for a few more minutes, still kinda mush. The signature burger was good but nothing crazy, needed more seasoning and a longer sear. The kids menu chicken was fresh and fries were hot. Service was really good the staff was incredibly nice! The place was relatively clean but it did need a fresh coat of paint and some repairs outside. The patio area was awesome! If they made that better, it would be great.

The food was good, especially since it was made to order fast food. They include a chocolate chip cookie with their meals, which is a neat idea. The hamburgers and fries were delicious. The service was decent, and the workers were quick. The only issue I had was with the atmosphere. The place doesn't smell great. It has that stinky old restaurant smell that really sucks. Also, the tables were a bit gross. For a quick, cheap lunch, it's a good place, though.

I don’t get all of the great reviews. The place has no AC and the burger was less than mediocre…at best. The buns on all three burgers we ordered were stale, the bacon on my burger was merely crumbs, the burger patties were cold and tasteless. I do like a messy burger, but these were falling out of the wrapper before they even hit the table. Atmosphere? Well, the background music sounded like the manager Stephen’s mixed tape from his high school hair band days. Anyway, this was my third attempt at trying this place and at least they are consistently sub-mediocre. Well, that’s 3 attempts, and 3 strikes...I’m done. I realize that our dining choices in Seguin are somewhat limited, but I’ll just spend my money elsewhere and travel a little further to get a good burger. The tots were decent though.

Going through town while traveling we stopped by here. They were nice and greeted us as soon as we got in. Unfortunately, the food was okay. It was too expensive for the quality of food we received. The curly fries and the mozzarella cheese sticks were great! The burgers however wasn't up to par for the price we spent.

Meh, not bad, but not great either, I was in Seguin and stopped because the parking lot was pretty full. I figured that was a good sign. My burger was pretty mediocre, the cajun fries were cold and nothing special. I'll probably give it another try next time I'm in town because I believe in second chances.

This is a real review To go order. Hickory Burger is a solid 5/10. It’s not bad, but delicious to people with a poor palate. All they need is just to season the patties better and use quality sauces. But not a bad spot for a quick bite and decent prices. Would I come back… no . Onion rings were mid. Nothing to boast about. Macaroni cheese 1/10, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone but a toddler with a basic American palate. Service is good. Military discounts offered here.

The only reason I’m giving a 3/5 is because of the great customer service I saw. If I rated the food only it would be 1/5. It’s a Clean place and great lighting. Outside seating and cute deco. However, the burger was nothing special. My order was wrong- as well as 3 other customers I saw had received the wrong order. I decided to just eat the wrong order since I didn’t want to wait for them to correct everyone else’s first. The burger was dry and cold. The Cajun fries were ok but they tasted like the fries that you buy at HEB frozen section. And they were cold. We also ordered the grilled cheese and the cheese wasn’t even melted and the bread was soggy. 1 wrong burger, 1 grilled cheese, fries and Cajun fries & 2 drinks was $18. I definitely Don’t recommend the food but the front counter and managers were very kind , lovely personalities and welcoming. If you want a cute place to chill, this is the perfect place. If you want a great burger , go to San Antonio.

Let me start by saying the food was amazing however the service was not good at all. After paying a large amount of money to feed 5 of us and tipping well over 20% my daughter accidentally threw away her side of gravy when she wanted to take it home so I asked for another gravy and they were so rude about it I finally had to agree to pay a $1 for it. Not one staff member had a smile on their face. I’m debating going again because the food was really good but it’s hard to enjoy good food after someone is so unhappy to serve you.

Food is ok but prices are a rip off. Ordered 2 salads that normally comes with grilled chicken. Change the chicken to fried. Charged full salad price plus a $2.99 up charge for each salad for the fried chicken. If that's what they do then ok but I won't be back. Here is the receipt. Came here for dinner and ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and some "Cajun" fries. For them being labeled as Cajun Fries, they're just normal curly fries. I didn't taste any "Cajun" seasoning on them whatsoever. Burgers did not have any flavor either and no seasoning. None of the food had seasoning for that matter. Not sure if I'm coming back. I gave up eating because my taste buds got bored and I was tired of the blandness of my food. Don't quite understand the good reviews here either.

My husband and I came by here for a quick dinner at 5:45pm. Whoever the worker Tiffany is that works there, don't come to eat here if her family is coming at the same time. Not only was our order wrong and my husband had to wait at least 20 mins for a burger to be made... her family had STEAMING hot food brought out to their table. Our fries were cold when we got them... very disappointed in our experience and won't be back.

Order placed at 2:06 pm. Was asked to wait in #2 waiting area. TWENTY minutes later I get my food. Cajun fries are NOT crispy or hot. Burger was lukewarm at best. Looked fresh, didn't taste bad for a 20 minute wait burger but that's not the point. I became late for an appointment due to this ineptitude. Not going back, and they're not even close to being the best burger in town. Did your friends write those 5 star reviews? Sheesh!

I'm going to give an honest review, I won't be coming back.... the staff is super friendly & helpful which is why I don't want to be too harsh. However, the things I saw were not pleasant. The cook in the back was leaned over the prep counter weighing out patties WITHOUT GLOVES. And he was basically heavy breathing all over the food in his bare hands as he was fully leaned in. Anyways, this was my 2nd chance for them because my first time my grilled chicken sandwich was so dry, my cat wouldn't even eat it! So I tried again & ordered a fried chicken salad. Chicken is very obviously frozen from a supplier. BUT I ate it anyways, about 2/3 of the way through with my salad & I have a piece of chicken on my fork millimeters from my mouth & I see something. Hair. Small, thin. Facial hair? Hair from the knuckles of the guy who wasn't wearing gloves? ..... I was so mad because how many other hairs had I already consumed? Anyways, I ordered this on my lunch break & my colleagues urged me to take it back & demand a refund but no, I ate most of it. No need to refund & not going to give them another chance but I think the public should know they prep your meat without gloves.

I'm gonna be extremely honest as I'm always grateful that God provides me with meal after meal and gives me the strength to work to get food on my table and enjoy eating out from time to time..I went on Oct 2 at dinner and ordered a bacon cheese burger and seasoned fries..well let me say that the burger was ok..But just ok..I'd buy it again but the seasoned fries were so so hard to bite into that i could not enjoy them..I mean so hard..I guess they overcooked them..I don't like to complain so I just dealt with it..On a positive note as I threw them away I did order an order of mozzarella sticks and those were delicious..It made up for the fries however it still cost me and its not cheap..I mean the fries were I think $4 or more. (I think)i don't wanna lie but I paid about $16 for burger,fries and a drink. No value meal here..this ain't mickey ds..everything is separate..Anyways would I visit again? Maybe Would i recommend? I'd recommend to someone another place like freiheit or pats place first..Anyways shout outs to a new cashier that was there..He was really nice..He looked a little nervous but was nice

Ignored by the counter staff for a couple weird minutes before they finished their conversation. Food came out on a decent time. Burger bread fell apart aas you are it, almost like it was stale instead of toasted. Patty had been chopped in two with half falling out while eating. Bacon had the weird smoky flavor that cheap bacon has. Cajan fries were from the bottom of a bag, so got a lot of fry bits and two curlys total. Had been waiting to try this place, and my god, so disappointed.

I tried Kirbys burgers this weekend. Although i was extremely pleased with the customer service i was not impressed by the food. The staff was very nice and welcoming i even saw the cashier give another client a bowl to put water for their dog! The burger was tasteless & the bread tasted stale. It really reminded me of the low quality school food if that makes sense. I even tore a piece of patty off to taste on its own & it was BLAND. I wont return or recommend to anyone unfortunately. It was the most godawful burger ive ever had. In response, it really was awful regardless of being in business 32 years. Im sure i went on an off day but it is what it is!!

We stopped here because the reviews were pretty good. Our experience was a little different. Every table was dirty. We had to wipe one down ourselves, then the food was just ok. Neither of us could finish our burger, which actually seemed a little overpriced for the size. The burgers were just not good, and nothing was seasoned. Cajun fries should definitely be seasoned. The onion rings were ok… On a positive note, the staff was very friendly.

Went here about a week ago with my girlfriend and got a patty melt and some cajun fries. Restaurant was clean and well ran, food came out hot and was served quickly, staff were nice and knowledgeable, its just.... The food was worse than bad, I could have handled some bad tasting burgers, instead it was so unbearably bland that we left halfway through our meal. Our tastebuds were not offended so much as they got bored and gave up. The cajun fries were utterly devoid of anything resembling cajun seasoning, let alone seasoning at all. Even the curly fries you get frozen at the grocery store are at least salted, but they were like they'd been purposefully stripped of flavor. The patty melt was.... Boring. I've never had to describe a burger as boring before. Usually at least you get a bit of flavor from the grease alone, but the patty in my sandwich was, for lack of a better explanation, perfectly calculated to be as flavorless as humanly possible.

All there new employees sit outside smoking while we wait in drive through in the back. What use to be 10 min for an order is now 20+ and never right Drive through and curbside is an extremely long wait now. All the new faces are to busy smoking or playing on there phones at drive through windows They told me for blt 20 min. That’s is a easy quick sandwich

Not worth the money. They sold everything separately. The buns were straight out of the package no toasting or warmed up buns for our burgers. They said fresh patties never frozen. Those patties were so skinny and flavor less. Should have just went to old faithful Whataburger. Oh don't get me started on the cookies. How do you mess up cookies.

The first time I ate here they were like the best restaurant in town in terms of services and taste. But last night I got sick. I ask for a turkey burger and it looked nothing like what it did on the menu. Tasted like Italian Sausage. Onion and lettuce and tomatoes were rotten as well. All I got to say is I'm never coming back here. This is by far, The second worst restaurant, only Dairy Queen being the 1st.

Maybe we went on an off day, but we were not impressed. The buns were just room temp. The meat had no flavor whatsoever. The flavor from the burger came from the mustard and pickles. The fries were not fresh and the onion rings were overcooked. We did go on a Tuesday afternoon. It was our first time and will honestly be our last. Maybe the burgers are good when they decide to really put effort, but as first time patrons, it definitely was not.

Great food but owners are the black spot on this business

I ordered the Bacon Avocado Burger. The Avocado was a little old. Update- While the service was great food taste good. Just not worth the money. You have to buy fries and drinks separate. We got a family fry and they barley put any fries in the tray. I will say the burgers were good. But definitely not worth the $45 for 3 burgers and a family fry.

The pictures of this establishment needs to be updated. This place is falling apart. No A/C. Service took absolutely forever even though my wife and I were 2 of 5 people in the restaurant. and when the server did show up they were rude/didnt care. The food tasted like nothing. Onions, pickles, tomatoes, mustard, and bacon on a burger that tastes like nothing. Cheese sticks were okay. 2/10 would not recommend.

Food wasn't the best. Burgers were a little raw and bland. Best Burgers in Texas??? Very Debatable, Onion rings were burned, fries were soggy. The best thing was the loaded tots.
