You know how you always go to Starbucks and nothing ever really seems original or unique? I mean, it’s a chain, so it’s expected, that’s not to say that it isn’t good, it’s just missing that “something”. I really didn’t know anything about this place and came on a whim with friends because they were interested. We’ve been going around to different coffee shops looking for good coffee and I’d have to say this place is definitely a find. I’ve never had macadamia milk, but it’s pretty delicious. I got the M Street Mocha, Kris got the Caramel Royale, and Ron got the Nitro Cold Brew and wow.... Normally, I don’t drink coffee straight and black, but wow, the Nitro Cold Brew was amazingly smooth. I definitely recommend it if you ever come here.
I love this place. The coffee is amazing and it's not a chain. I love that it's more so in a neighborhood. I love that they have gluten-free and vegan options. I love the atmosphere and that there is seating outside! 5 STARS 🤩
M Street Coffee is my go-to spot in LA. Their brew is straight fire, and the chill atmosphere is perfect for catch-ups or getting some work done. LA’s coffee scene is strong, but M Street is definitely top-tier. ☕👌📚
The BEST coffee option in the valley, and quite possibly all of L.A. Staff here clearly love what they do, relaxed, happy, and proud of the coffee they make for us. Tip - buy the $25 credit/gift card there if you plan to come back - includes a free bonus drink of your choice. Seating is kinda tight. Reasonable limits on free wifi, need to buy something each 2 hrs. M Street Latte is THE DRINK to get here, but all actually are delicious. Limited pastry menu.
Every single person behind the counter made eye contact and smiled at me. All the friendliness was genuine. This was especially impressive, because they were busy. The crowd was mostly middle-upper class professionals or, at least, appeared to be. Overheard conversations about business. This is not to say that the patrons were rude, rather focused on meetings or whatever they were working on. Nice goal-driven atmosphere. Made me want to sit down and finish something. The mocha was very delicious. Also, tried the drip brew and it was very good too. I'll definitely stop by again!
Best coffee in the valley by far, and everyone there is incredibly kind☕️
Probably one of the best coffee spots in the neighborhoods of LA. Coffee and service is absolutely fabulous
This place feels very community-oriented and open. I tend to get almond milk capuccinos and lattes and my husband gets oat milk. They have amaaaazing decaf to the point that you can hardly tell you're missing the caffeine. We have tried the gluten-free almond cookie twice and that was very enjoyable.
This is my first visit, and I must say, I am incredibly impressed! The coffee is truly exceptional, and the friendly atmosphere makes it feel like I am among old friends. I will certainly return, and I highly recommend it.
Just moved into the neighborhood and this has become my go-to spot for coffee and a bagel before work. ☕️the lavender honey lattes are delicious! Friendly and helpful staff who welcomed me. And the wait is not long at all. During the eclipse they had glasses so I was able to see it 😎🌔
Love this coffee shop. A super cozy neighborhood shop with great drinks. I highly recommend the M Street Latte. That one was my favorite by far.
It is NOT easy to find a good cappuccino in LA but this place is amazing! The coffee is way above the average espresso bar, I found it delicious. Great place to sit with a laptop. I’ll definitely be back soon.
Everyone here is lovely and the coffee is my favorite in the area! There's always beautiful art on the walls and great music, though it's too loud at times. I wish there was more seating!!
I love the coffee. best coffee house in LA. good vibe and worth it. go take a look and try it for yourself. you will agree
One of my favorite feel-good spots. The service is always pleasant. Their espresso is so incredibly creamy and tasty (although it could be calibrated to have a little more water). The ambiance is very nice. I absolutely love the fact that they support local artists and display their work on the walls. The outside seating area is nice and it is a great neighborhood hangout.
A delightful little NON-CHAIN neighborhood coffee shop. Three of us were exploring the Los Angeles area and stopped in for an afternoon break. Friendly, helpful staff - I enjoyed seeing the lady behind the counter recognize and greet one of her regular customers. We took our coffees outside and sat at little tables next to the building watching folks come and go and just enjoying the fresh air. A sign inside said they were celebrating 14 years - I sure hope they are there for at least another 14 years. Definitely worth a return visit when we are back in the area.
This place is great! Smells like real coffee when you walk in the door. If you like the sun, sit outside on the patio. If you prefer the shade, I recommend coming after 12:30 p.m., when the shadow cast by the building covers the east side patio. Inside is great too! Cool vibe going on.
Congratulations M Street Coffee for being mentioned by EATER LA, recently, as one of LA's Best Coffee Shops !
Absolutely delicious drinks, very friendly and informative service. The wife was in the mood for a good latte, and the main chains just weren't tickling her fancy. M Street was highly rated, and after 1 visit we can see why. Excellent service, you can tell these people understand that each individual's coffee preference is unique, and they care about getting it right. I love their ice blended drinks. Lots of other places don't fully blend their ice and you end up drinking chunks. At M Street it's smooth from top to bottom. Update- second trip is even better than the first. Keep in mind that this ain't no S'buck, their flavors are better, less choked-with-sweetness. It will take a trip or two to learn the balance that works for you. Trust me, they're worth it.
The cutest local coffee shop with an amazing and welcoming atmosphere. The prices are good and the coffee is great. Baristas are super friendly!!
One of the best local coffee spots in LA. Incredible staff and amazing lattes. The seasonal menu is also packed with amazing drinks to try.
This place puts a personal touch to your coffee. Never too hot and never too cold. They truly do put their heart into every order and make a point to treat their patrons like more than just clients, but family! Highly recommended if you want specialty café for a great price and a intimate ambience.
I deliberately park up the side street so that I can enjoy the tall palm trees on my way to the BEST coffee shop around. I don’t live in the valley anymore, but every time I have a reason to return, I visit M Street! And thanks to being able to buy their beans, I can even enjoy their incomparable quality at home. Love love love you guys
I've always loved this place, it's there perfect neighborhood coffee place. The staff is so kind and helpful, the coffee is AMAZING. I must bed away from the area but I still come back as often as possible for their cold brew!
Just taking time to find different coffee shops that aren’t too far away from where I am in Sherman Oaks in this place popped up the other day, so I drove over. Very cute coffee shop vibe, not as sterile as some of the newer trend of your coffee shops. I love that they had a seasonal menu that included all things for like February and love, saw some raspberry and strawberry options, but I’ve decided to go with their Irish cream latte and croissant. If I’m being completely honest, I went back a second day in a row to get the same Irish cream beverage because it was absolutely delightful. I hate to admit it and then I’ll probably go back one more time this week to try the strawberry mocha. Service was nice and fairly quick!
I have never ordered food here so I didn't give it a rating. The coffee and on my case the Hot White Mocha is very good! The service is always great and the atmosphere seems amazing. I love seeing the same people when I go and feel the vibe of nice people enjoying their own coffee house!
I’d give them 4.5 if I could but rounded up to 5 because I like them a lot. The ambiance and service are outstanding, as is the mandlebread. The coffee is also good, but last time I went it was somewhat burnt. Will go again and give them another try!
I was lucky to have this very fine coffee shop just down the street from the place where I stayed with my family while visiting universal studios. The place had a great atmosphere, a great selection of coffee and latte specialties, and plenty of those pastries to choose from. Plenty of nicer on the wall, see the book inside and outside. The style of seating was quite buried with a small upper loft area, and a lower area next to the very studies, and various tables outside both in front of the shop and along the side. The baristas seemed very friendly and attentive, and readily gave advice on the choices that they had to offer. The strawberry latte I got was quite enjoyable, which I enjoyed along with a little gluten-free loaf - quite tasting with pretty star sprinkles on top. I went here twice over the weekend not bothering to look for another place because this one was just what I needed. If you are staying in Studio City, I recommend a stop by here for your coffee here
Great coffee and great vibes. I loved spending a morning here and was happy that they have a power outlet available, so I could also do some work on my laptop while enjoying the coffee ☕️😊
Several of our friends highly recommended M Street Coffee and it did not disappoint. We really enjoyed our almond milk latte and americano. The staff was also very friendly and ambiance was great. Definitely a new favorite in the area and can’t wait to come back!
My coveted “Valley’s Best” for coffee. Congrats and you’re welcome, M st.
Went for the first time for a morning coffee on Sunday morning. Had quite few people in front of us at 10am, but the wait wasn't too bad. Got cappuccino with almond milk. One of the best I've had. Decent price, too, at least for the quality. Will probably make it my go-to coffee shop. Good thing we moved close to this place :) Update on 5.18.25: still come every now and then and remains one of my favorite cafes ever. Coffee still amazing. Brought my parents and few friends and everyone loves it. Photos of the menu are from today :)
This place is great. Cool helpful employees and the coffee was good and strong. Parking is a bit tricky but located in a great neighborhood.
stumbled upon this local cafe looking for something walking distance from my hotel and it actually blew my mind. the flat white was perfectly made! there was around a 20min wait on friday around 9am with adequate indoor and outdoor seating
I love this place! The art on the walls, the delicious drinks. Check this place out. They also offer tables inside and outside where you can socialize or work. Beautiful location with tons of residential parking. Everyone who works here is super nice and the artists they show are really talented.
really happy friendly staff, plenty of indoor / outdoor seating. awesome vegan and gf options. creative flavors for coffee and lattes like "lavender" and "maple." good vibes!

I just love the vibe here. Great outdoor seating, super nice baristas, and great cold brew.
Wonderful coffee very chill vibe for studying or taking meetings Id argue since GGET isnt in the valley that this is the best coffee in the valley no contest.
We came to celebrate my friend Robin. She's a regular here. It's very charming and the coffee options are awesome and taste delicious. The food looks equally as good. Although we didn't eat anything this time.
Honestly, I’m so picky with my coffee that I usually avoid coffee shops because I never get it exactly like I make it at home. But this place completely changed my mind. My coffee was perfect—exactly how I asked for it. I can’t wait to go back!

Great spot for coffee and espresso , minimal food options. Worst part is the dog policy. Especially in this area. I mean come on, people don’t wanna tie their dogs up outside to get coffee. That has to go. Dogs are in Ralph’s for goodness sake! Otherwise nice
Yummy coffee. Got the coconut macadamia and lavender latte with oat milk. And some chocolate bars. Small corner coffee shop, no parking.
I had a great cup of coffee in a fine mug at M Street Coffee. That’s all you really need sometimes…a great cup of coffee, perfectly strong, served in a comforting real mug. This was my experience on a packed Sunday morning where the upper-deck was filled with lap-top users who looked like they’d staked out these tables months an advance. (You could almost see the proprietary flags waving.) I had a comfortable seat on the couch near the drink pick-up area. I enjoyed the pumpkin scone I had…it was perfect accompaniment to the house brew drip coffee and a very generous size. It’s cool that you can get drinks in real mugs, though there aren’t refills (which many places do on drip coffee) and you will be given a mug / serving size corresponding to the size you choose. They’ve also got local artists’ work on the walls (and actively encourage you to submit a query on their website about hanging yours.) There were some drink specials available that you won’t find on their website too. And the best part, really, was how friendly the staff were…Despite it being super-busy with a very long line, they seemed genuinely loving and engaged with every customer who stepped up to the counter. M Street Coffee is a great local alternative to any chain coffee place where you’re sure to get a fine cup of coffee and a smile.
Nice cozy neighborhood coffee shop with some arts on display. Saw a stream of people kept coming in to the shop the entire time I was there. They must be well known in the area or their coffee is just good.

They don’t understand espresso drinks. The foam was way over steamed. The espresso was over extracted. The mango smoothie was good, they have seating which is great, but don’t go here if you want good coffee.

The coffee? Meh. Average — nothing to write home about. If you live around the corner, sure, I get the loyalty. It’s convenient, it’s local, and hey, habits form fast. But let’s be real: it’s not the kind of brew you drive across town for. Now, the vibe? That’s a different story. The crowd’s chill and eclectic and gives the place some character. I haven’t touched the food yet, so there is no judgment there. But if you’re chasing great coffee — keep chasing.
