My cousin use to have his birthday party at the Vallejo location when we were kids. When the Vallejo location closed we started going to the Benicia location. If he didnt live out of state we'd probably still go here every year for his birthday.
I'm a big guy and been around a long time. My boy highly recommended Pizza Pirate and it was off the hook! Best Pizza I have had in a long time! Wings and potatoes skins ordered my 2nd time here and those were delicious as well. Service was great and already looking forward to trying more on the menu!
10/10 Fresh, hot, delivered on time. Could not ask for more.
Love it! I have been coming for years and brought all my kids here.
Much better then last time a few months ago. Had the captain pizza.
Great place. Employees are very friendly, courteous. Pizza.
We've gone here several times now. Love the pizza, classic quality. The aesthetic is cute and the beer on tap is always enjoyable. We will return.
The salad bar at Pizza Pirate is amazing! Lots of fresh salad fixings, potato and macaroni salad, fresh fruit, and sometimes even pudding. Oh, and of course, we like their pizza too. They have a game room for the kids, with prizes. There is also a party room you can rent for a larger crowd or celebration.
Pulled up to Pizza Pirate, felt like I just spawned in Ohio 💀. Ordered a slice and they served it with straight unspoken rizzium cheese 🧀. Crust so crispy it unlocked my sigma grindset 💪. Mid-bite I swear I heard the Skibidi Toilet theme 🚽🎶 and an NPC walked past asking if I paid the fanum tax 💸. Slice was so good it could beat the final boss of Ohio 👹. Walked out feeling main character certified with a gyatt in 4K. 🔥
We held my son’s birthday party here and it was fantastic. The food and staff were great! I highly recommend it! The pizzas here are very generous with their toppings. I see reviews that say otherwise and that’s never been my experience.
Definitely family restaurant. Yo ho ho ho it's Pizza Pirate for me 🏴☠️🍕❤️
If you looked at my other posts, you can see I'm all about food. Also I'm not about $100+meals, rather I'm all about great food in a casual environment. Pirate Pizza doesn't disappoint. We had a regular garden salad which came with 2 fresh bread twists and cheese ravioli with pesto which came with 4 bread twists. Who would have thought a pizza place would have such great pasta? Also as you can guess this place is kid friendly.
We just moved to the area and Pizza Pirate was recommended to me by a friend. Since it was our first night in town, and all of our dishes were packed, we decided to try it out. We placed our pick up order via the website, and 35 minutes later I made the lengthy 3 minute drive (lol) to pick up our dinner. The inside of the building was super cool, I even saw a claw machine with Squishmallows that I’ll attempt to win in the future, and both staff members I interacted with were incredibly friendly. Upon arriving at home the food was promptly devoured, everyone agreed it was some of the best pizza we’ve had in a while. We also got their garlic bread, which was seriously some of the best I’ve had in a while. The half spaghetti came with 2 garlic twists and the portion was enough for my son and I to split, with a price point you can’t beat. We will definitely be hitting up Pizza Pirate again in the future!
Pizza pirate has always been great in benicia but especially now with the new ownership group! Chad and his team have really cleaned the place up and continue to provide the great pizza and pasta quality you would expect!
Surprise dinner at one of my *top of the favorite restaurants list* favorite places to eat, Pizza Pirate!! Absolutely the best salad bar in the history of salad bars! Delicious pizza sauce with 7 herbs and spices! Always a great variety of fresh toppings to choose from! Amazing calzones and sandwiches! A super group of friendly, helpful, attentive, and courteous employees!! Arrrgh! I love me some Pizza Pirate!!!
The pizza was amazing, and the environment was epic. My son loved it. We're going back next time we're up there.
Had a really great time Jessica the manager is really sweet! It definitely was the best pizza I've ever had and the breadsticks and the wings oh my God so delicious I definitely highly recommend this place
This place was a nice place to eat with the family. The pizza was great the staff was very friendly and they have a place for kids to play.
The pizza was surprisingly good here! If we're in Benicia again we would definitely go back. Service was good and staff was friendly. Plus they have TV's with games on and an (over priced) arcade.

My wife and a couple from Baltimore came to this place about a month ago. We enjoyed it! The pizzas was smacking 😋

Outstanding pizza and fun atmosphere. Great for family fun! Been going there for years.
Love this place. We have heard about this place for years and finally went. So worth it. The food is amazing. Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere reminds me of what pizza places SHOULD BE. This brings back the fun family feel that we used to have when I was a kid in the 80's. This will be our go-to place for family fun night.
Pizza Pirate in Benicia has a great salad bar & good pizza. Chad the owner is doing a great job keep this place going. It's a Pirate theme pizza parole very cool, big restaurant with a game room & huge T.V. for sports games. Thank you again for the pizza & salad bar.
We ordered a vegetarian pizza for delivery and got the wrong one at first, which was frustrating after waiting a while and being hungry. When I called, there was some confusion, and I did have to push a bit to have the correct pizza delivered that night. But they really made it right. The person who brought the replacement was very apologetic, and the pizza was excellent—fresh and delicious. The next morning, they even refunded the entire order and followed up with an apology, which I didn’t expect. Mistakes happen. What matters is that they stood behind their service. I appreciate the effort and will order from Pizza Pirate again.

Wait was a little long but food was great!
Don't get me wrong it's family friendly and the pizza is better than decent. We had a great time on a Tuesday night. They have one large party room with multiple tables for parties. We we're one party and of about 20 and it seemed like one long large table wouldn't have been enough for a crowded weekend.
Pizza is still delicious but the loss of salad bar and desire to help customers from the kids behind the counter is a real disappointment. Every pie and bread stick that came out of the oven while we waited over a half hour for a personal salad, two bread sticks, and a small pizza had huge air bubbles that were destroying the items piling up as they came out of the oven while all the employees were standing around hiding in the back. After waiting 20 minutes when I was told it would only take 10 minutes to get food we went back to the counter only to have the employees tell us they had no idea about the order we're talking about. Finally after going through all the employees we were given part of our order and had to remind them about the rest. Upon arriving home 45 minutes later we found these so called bread sticks that resembled piles of dough bubbles. Sad to see a great pizza place go so far downhill.
Good stuff! I ordered the weekly lunch special that included a salad, slice of pepperoni and a small drink. The pizza had a thick crust. I went in at 11:30. There was plenty of seating and the food was fresh!

The people that work there are very friendly, I love there games in the back for the children, and the cute little prizes to win. I love there salad bar as well. The pizza is just ok to me, a pricey. I think it's a hit or miss at times, but it definitely has the space for groups to come and eat.
The only reason to cross the bridge for this pizza place was the salad bar. They no longer have a salad bar. They make their salads pre-made for the day certain sizes. They ran out of the family size this visit and offered to substitute for 2 minis and a regular to make up for the lack of a family size, which worked out well for the night. Tip: if getting the artichoke and mushroom ask for extra sprinkled cheese onto to lock the toppings on top. Tasty either way though.
The pizza wasn’t very impressive and felt overpriced. It was mostly thick bread with a lot of cheese, but lacked flavorful sauces or spices. Compared to places like Pieology, MOD, or Blaze, it just didn’t have as much taste or variety. Otherwise, the place was clean and the staff were friendly.
Slow place. Would of expected more out of the raviolis and bread twists with soda we got for around $30. Food is not too bad. Clean place though. Could be better. By the ways what up with this all genders bathroom sign and the third person?
For $35 I expected some kind of greens on a plate not a small soup bowl. The ravioli looks empty inside. The silverware is limp plastic. It took about 45 minutes to get an order of just two items. Aaarg matey, it's all theme but no dream.

I live in Vallejo, so the Pirate is a bit out of the way for me. But I like to support independent and small business whenever I can. Pizza Pirate has a great looking restaurant and very thoughtful and cute "pirate" and high seas theme throughout, even with the naming schemes of their food. Because it's out of the way, I only been here about 3 or 4 times. But 2 orders they forgot toppings I asked for and 1 time there was hardly any sauce on the pizza. I called and mentioned the sauce issue, but I was not looking for discounts or free pizza, just wanted to let them know about it. My latest order, I asked for olives with my pepperoni half, they noted it on the receipt and charged me, but there was no olives. Also, to me, the pepperoni seemed a bit skimpy, reminding me of Little Caesars or something. I didn't think to take a pic until after we plated our slices. The combo half seemed fine. Somebody is not keeping tabs on quality control at the Pirate. I am disappointed. May not come back. You need to teach the employees to be accurate with orders and to make the pizza with enough toppings to make it worth the $$$. It is mostly bread, after all.
Honestly, I get better pizza at Costco and Sam’s Club and for way better price. I got the 8 inch pizza and it literally had less than 12 tiny chunks of chicken on it, my salad had more croutons and the croutons were bigger chunks. I only came here because of my sister‘s birthday. Way overpriced and definitely not worth it. Also the bread twist that came with a salad were super overcooked. If you look at the picture, I attached, these were the last slices of my pizza and there’s barely anything on it. Literally felt like I was eating bread with barely anything on it, but I didn’t want it going to waste.
We arrived on Monday 1/20/2020 at 6:16 pm. My wife placed an order for a small personal cheese pizza and a large combo Pizza. We filled our water glasses and found only one dirty booth to be available that would accommodate the four of us. We sat and waited for over 45 minutes, waiting for at least one of the pizzas to be delivered. We were literally the only table in the restaurant without food. I went up to ask about the wait at the counter and there were two other customers in front of me also waiting. Nobody was in the pizza prep area by the oven, multiple employees in the back kitchen area. As I stood at the counter for a few minutes there were multiple pizzas backed up in the oven presumably burning. Finally somebody came out front and I let them know about our wait and inquired about a refund. I was asked to wait just a few minutes more as the pizzas were done. The pizzas themselves were fine, no complaints about the food itself. An employee did ask if we wanted them to give us a free desert to make up for the hassle but we did not take him up on the offer.

Used to love going to Pizza Pirate but the last two times we went since the new owners took over was awful. Today was the last straw we will not go back ordered a pizza half the toppings were not on the pizza, no Parmesan cheese, then they let a party come out of the party room continue their party with karaoke machine. It was very rude to let it continue even though they were ruining everyone else’s night. We left and will not be going back. They should have stay in the party room. This was the second chance we gave the new owners and the both times we were disappointed
If I could give a zero I would! I had my daughter’s first birthday party today there and I do not appreciate the rudeness from the new owner! I’ve been having my kids parties there for years since my oldest 22 now had his first birthday. Now the pizza is skimpy and very expensive! They don’t have the salad bar anymore they make your salad which has tons of croutons and was nasty. We threw the whole salad away. Then my mother and aunt ordered sandwiches that were hard and cooked to long! Not sure if the owner did this on purpose because I brought two litter sodas in the party room which I’ve done EVERY year and EVERY party I’ve had there and it was NEVER an issue! The owner told my cousin we could not have a pitcher of ice and then my mother went up there to buy some pitchers of soda and the owner said we don’t have pitches you have to buy the sodas individually and their 4 something a cup! Unbelievable thing is he said to my mom “ I’m not making any money on those sodas that were brought in”! I couldn’t believe it I’m glad she told me that afterwards because I would’ve went up there and said something for sure! Mind you he made a lot of money off the skimpy over priced pizzas we bought and the hard sandwiches and nasty salads! I’m sickened by this and the rudeness of this establishment! Too bad the old owners sold the place because the food and service was great then. I will never return and would definitely not recommend this place to ANYONE! I sure wish I could’ve talked to you as well cause I have A LOT to say to you… Hmmmm nobody else complained yet I’ve seen other complaints on your reviews! LIKE I SAID IVE BEEN COMING THERE FOR YEARS NOT ANY OTHER RESTAURANT and NEVER had any problem with bringing my OWN soda and I’m glad I did because you charge over 4$ for a Paul of soda! And correction some of my family DID purchase your expensive soda I personally used their cups with the ice you wouldn’t give us! Also I THINK YOU MAKE ENOUGH OFF YOUR EXPENSIVE PIZZA AND GET IVER ON QUIET A FEW PEOE DAILY SO YOUR MOST DEFINITELY MAKING MONEY. I’m sorry that you don’t charge for the one room people have parties in and spend hundreds of dollars on one party for two hours! Don’t you worry about allowing ANYTHING because I will NEVER come back to your rude disrespectful money hungry establishment! Thanks! You need to hire cooks that don’t burn people’s sandwiches but you probably did it on purpose!
