Opinions de Vino & Vinyl Sugar Land
I love this place! It restaurant has a warm, Rustic ambiance and the music selections of the DJs are top tier! Had the best waiter Dalton ask for him! The food was full of flavor and the wine was delicious as well. Will definitely be going back.
This is now one of our favorite spots for a Thursday evening dinner with wine. The food is so delicious 😋 The service is top notch 👌 The variety of wine is impressive 👌 A must if in the area
This restaurant is awesome. Craig, the owner and staff really go above and beyond to provide an upbeat and upscale experience to the Sugar Land area. Food was amazing. They had a great wine selection which was affordable. You feel like you are in the city…but you are in Sugar Land. They had a great DJ today and we downloaded all the old 90s R&B songs they played!
The food will surprise you in a good way. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows your name. Spinning vinyl makes it unique, and authentic. Parking is free in the parking garage.
Okay, where do I begin. We went here tonight for New Year's Eve celebration. We made a reservation and were seated at a two-person table (perfect). I have been here one time before. When I found out they were having a NYE celebration I decided to take the hubby here. Background: my hubby and I are Houston transplants. I'm from Germany and he's from the East coast. I have lived here for 20 years, and often yearn to go back to the East coast or back to Europe because Houston (or surrounding area) absolutely lacks in "chill" lounge spots. Houston restaurants either have great ambiance but lack in great food--often paying high dollar for mediocre at best food. They all lack that certain je ne sai quoi. This place is giving me chill vibes + EXQUISITE food+great service! Such a rarity. The food here is on top chef scale. We had the three course meal $65/person. We selected the pork belly app, filet mignon with shrimp and broccolini, and for dessert the bananas foster. OMG, each course played like an orchestra on my palette. Each meal carefully thought out and executed with a skillful hand. Kuddos to the chef! Each bite was a crescendo to the previous bite. The filet mignon was absolute perfection! The bananas foster bread pudding made me want to "slap my grandmama," yal! REAL TALK. After one bite of the foster with the soft, almost smoky subtle hint of bourbon glaze, I seriously leaned back in my chair, rolled my eyes to the back of my head, and took a breath whispering, "Dammn, dammmmn, dammmmn!" (In my Florida Evans voice!) LOL I was in heaven! We are BIG time foodies and when we give a restaurant 5 stars ---that restaurant truly had to be spectacular! Our server was funny, attentive, yet not overbearing. The host was wonderful. And OHHHHH the DJ was KILLIN' it! Playin' all the old cuts: Earth Wind and Fire, Groove Theory, Zhane...JAMMIN'!!! This vibe is sooooo NYC. Do your thang DJ! We wanted to stay longer, but we didn't want to drive too late with these crazy drivers in H-town. Another plus: they dimmed the lights so you could catch the sparkling lights out front. Truly set the mood. Forgot to mention you could dine outdoors as well. They opened the bar window for outdoor bar if you chose to sit there. There was plenty of room both outdoor and indoors. So here's the "I dunno part..." The waiter informed us that they bought the space next door. So they could expand. That's good and bad. Here's why. What makes this place so great, is that it is so quaint--again very NYC. The acoustics flow nicely and are not over powering so you can still jam in your seat and still hold a conversation without shouting across the table. It feels so cozy. Also the chef(s) are able to make things fresh and pay attention to details. I'm afraid if it gets big, in order to accommodate they will have to cut back on freshly crafted foods and the whole entire dining experience, including food quality, will quickly begin to decline like most places. Hopefully they will find a way to keep the two rooms separate with a small opening to keep the quaintness and chill vibe that V&V currently has. More people more noise and acoustics will bounce around in a large space. I know this too well. Too many restaurants think larger is better and it is not always the case. Now, I am COMPLETELY projecting here. If done correctly, they will maintain high standards of quality foods, and not lose the ambiance. This is why people like it here (read the reviews, people love the quaintness). This is why we love it here. We will come back again, and again and again! Kuddos to the owner, the DJ, the chef(s) hosts and wait staff! You are Houston / Sugar Land Excellence! Well done and well deserved! Side note: If you didn't know you can buy vinyl here too (hence the name), they had all the old cuts. We bought a De La Soul album to jump start our new year! Thank you guys for making our evening so great! Happy New Year! Many blessings...
Happy hour was great. Instant seating a service. I ordered the pork belly, brussel sprouts, mini meatballs, and a couple of house bruts. Everything was delicious and mildly priced at $7 each.
I went here with 4 of my sisters in September, for my sisters birthday celebration, the food was DELICIOUS. The hostess Whitney was excellent with her recommendations and demeanor. I ordered the burger with grilled chicken breast, Pico de Gallo (I cant remember what else was on it) with fries but the burger was HUGE and tasted soooooooo good(quantity and quality was GREAT).
What a gem! Wine, charcuterie, and amazing music on vinyl were the stars of the show for our visit to this locally-owned slice of Heaven! We will definitely be back! <3
The entire spot was a complete vibe! We visited w/a party of 4 for my sister’s bday. When you park in front of the restaurant you can hear the music playing on the outside speakers and there are tables/chairs for outside dining. We entered and were immediately greeted and seated. The interior decor was pretty cool, quite urban and unexpected given the area of the restaurant and the primary ethnicity that was in attendance at the time we were dining. Good menu selection and chefs special offered 2 entree options as well as 2 dessert options. They have a massive wine selection, as to be expected since they are a wine bar. We did not partake in the wine, as we are not alcohol drinkers. The food was DELISH and the portion sizes were very fair, along with/the pricing. Our waitress, I believe her name was Whitney, was great and very attentive, overall, we all had a great experience and will definitely be going back!
I’ve been to a lot of spots in Town Center but nothing as unique and cozy as Vino & Vinyl. Great ambiance Live DJ. Excellent selection of Wines. Delicious food and Outstanding service Padric and Dalton went above and beyond explaining the wine club and benefits. They made menu recommendations. We truly enjoyed our dining experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Food, Wine, and Vibes! Vino & Vinyl - Supper Club is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy, stylish, and perfect for a night out, whether it’s a date night, a gathering with friends, or just a casual evening enjoying great food. The music selection on vinyl adds such a unique and nostalgic touch, creating an unforgettable ambiance. The food is exceptional, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. Paired with their carefully curated wine selection, every bite and sip is a delight. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making the experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. What really stands out is the combination of excellent cuisine, quality wines, and the overall vibe. It’s rare to find a place that hits all three perfectly. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Vino & Vinyl - Supper Club is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates good food, great wine, and a memorable experience. Highly recommend this spot for a fun, flavorful, and unique evening out. I can’t wait to come back!
We absolutely love this little spot! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with great vibes—always spinning the perfect tunes to set the mood. Armando is a true gem, somehow always reading our minds and offering spot-on recommendations for both wine and food. His knowledge and warmth elevate every visit. The rest of the staff is just as impressive—consistently friendly, attentive, and informative. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, they make you feel welcome and well cared for. Every meal we’ve had here has been fantastic. Thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. This place never disappoints!
My wife and I had a genuinely good experience here on a late Saturday evening. We enjoyed the atmosphere and music being played as soon as we walked in. Dalton and the rest of the staff took great care of us and were friendly. Beer by the pint is $5 and wine by the glass were priced fairly in my opinion, but I will admit I don’t drink often. However, we were very happy with our food choices. The fungi prosciutto flat bread was crispy and also naturally gluten free for anyone sensitive. I would highly recommend the octopus skillet since it was cooked perfectly and tasted excellent in the lemon butter sauce. We would love to come back again.
Kicked off Restaurant Weeks with dinner at Vino and Vinyl. They set the bar high for the rest of the month! I ate on the patio, but inside looked intimate and cozy. Service was fast and friendly. Food came out deliciously hot. I had the prixe fix menu with black truffle cream mac and cheese, braised short rib, and panna cotta. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This place was fantastic the service was great everybody felt genuinely kind. I was not expecting such accommodation for gluten-free items. Probably my favorite was their fried risotto which is based off of the Italian arancini is gluten free and that was just fantastic. Will definitely be back. Gluten-free chocolate lava cake was great too! Octopus tacos were notible too
After seeing this establishment on the morning news , I decided to give them a try and what a experience! I wish I could’ve given 10 stars because it’s a vibe y’all! The food was delicious, my hostess Kennedy was absolutely magnificent! And to top it off I had a chance to meet one of the owners and snap a selfie! He was such an awesome and down to earth guy! I drove 45 minutes to Vino & Vinyl, and will definitely be back.
This was our first visit here for food. We opted for the specials, Red snapper and fillet steak. The food was absolutely delicious with the exception of the carrots on the fish dish. PLEASE trim and cut carrots naturally, using pre prepped packaged carrots is lazy! They tasted awful too, why cut corners like this when the food coming from the kitchen is a real treat? It won’t stop us from coming back as we like to support local and also the vibe inside was really great but making little changes will a positive impact for sure.
We visited this place for the first time last night on our anniversary. We sat at the bar before 6pm. It was 6:06 by the time we were able to order. Asked the guy behind the bar if it was still happy hour. We even mentioned our anniversary. He shrugged, told us no to happy hour and walked off. $8 dollar chopped up shrimp tacos became $18 chopped up shrimp tacos. Food was decent, but we won't return due to the service.
Visited Vino and Vinyl for wine and dessert after dinner. Good atmosphere. However, we had an unpleasantly unnecessary experience towards the end. We were not fans of the cheesecake that we ordered. When asked by our waitress if there was something wrong with it, we expressed our opinion. She actually agreed with us. We paid for item anyway, as no alternative was offered, and carried on, finishing our wine so we could leave. It was during this time when the manager or owner, walked over to our table and gave us his personal opinion about the cheesecake, essentially making it clear that ours was not valid. And that was it. He gave us his opinion and left. It was a completely unnecessary encounter. We never complained, never asked for item to be replaced or comped. We paid for item and that was it. Him coming over to us only to defend his cheesecake like a child was absurd. A good business should be able to handle criticism and not act in a child-like manner when a customer does not care for one of their products. The cheesecake did not make our experience a negative one, it was this manager or owner and the way this situation was handled that did.
My wife and I dined here about a week ago for date night and it was our first time trying this place. From the start it was terrible. They put us at the front right near where all the greeters hang out. When I asked if we could be seated somewhere else they said this was the only spot they had available when I clearly saw there were several empty seats further inside the restaurant. The appetizer was horrific(it was called pork belly or something along that line) my wife got some chicken dish and I got the ny steak. I tasted the chicken dish and it was decent. My steak was terrible. I asked for well done and they couldn’t even get that right. Long story short, we will not be returning here!
