Lunch special for 1 item (chow mein or fried rice + 1 item) is around $11.50! Very reasonable prices and good food. The workers there don't speak English, so I had to have the customer next to me translate in Chinese to order. Food is yummy. Natural. Not too oily or greasy. Very delicious! seems like a lot of solo tech employees come here for lunch and order food! plenty of parking as well.

How Can We Help

Went for dinner and had the beef and green onions (tasted like Negimaki) and the sweet and sour chicken. They were both absolutely delicious! I’m from the east coast and we have amazing Chinese/canton/shanghai food and have been completely disappointed in CA Chinese food. WELL UNTIL TODAY! They have plenty of indoor seating to eat. Boothes with padded seating, large party round tables with the lazy Susan and regular 2 and 4 tops. You can either pick from what’s prepared behind the counter or order off the menu. Service was good and it didn’t take long to get our food. We are definitely going back to try some other traditional favorites. Thank you Jin Jin! I had just about given up. Please give this place a try.

Awesome spot for quick lunch, friendly service, authentic flavors, large serving and great price!

All of the food we ordered was absolutely delicious! We got the Chinese donut, sesame balls, honey walnut prawns, war-wonton soup, and Yang Chow fried rice. The Chinese donut is deep fried bread and not sweet, but it is so yummy! We can't wait to go back and try more dishes! Thanks for the amazing food! <3

A casual spot for quick and tasty food, offering authentic Chinese dishes at affordable prices. The place feels a bit run-down, so I usually opt for takeout.

Good place for fast Chinese. I got the broccoli beef, and i wanted chicken with asparagus but they didn't have any asparagus, so they kindly made chicken with bok choy. Both dishes were available quickly. The staff was friendly efficient and accommodating. They also have good spicy dishes and dim sung.

Great Shanghai dishes that remind me of home cooked meals. Their wontons are large and flavorful! Green onion pancake yum. They also do non Shanghai dishes well too, which is a bonus. Staff is generous with servings and enjoy their work. Love this place!

Very nice little store. Typical Chinese restaurant. Come in on a Thursday night and got seated right away. Ordered three cup chicken, honey walnut shrimp, string bean, and stir fry lamb. Everything was tasty, especially the honey walnut shrimp

Quick, simple, and tasty Chinese food. Walked in for take-out yang zhou fried rice, and got it in ten minutes. Portions are pretty big, price is good. Staff is polite, and overall a pleasant experience. It's like a cozier, better Panda Express in some ways.

I'm trying to reduce starches for lunch and this place was perfect. I had the two item lunch, no noodles or rice. It came with a cup of soup. All for less than $15. Best part is it is delicious. The curry reminds me of a pumpkin curry. The soup might have been egg flower. I'm not sure. It wasn't salty and I would like another

We loved this place, very authentic Chinese food. It was our first time here. Staff as friendly and accommodating. We ordered for take out, got the cucumber garlic, eggplant, beef with onion, bean curd with pork, and chicken corn soup, also a side a white rice. Everything was freshly made and delicious. We will absolutely order from here again.

I was very surprised by the food quality and items they have on offer. I live nearby but never came in because I thought the food here would be another one with offers of many heavy fried dishes. I wished that I came by to try here earlier than now. The food is authentic and tasty. All those times I'm looking for good casual Chinese places but have to settle for something below par? Well, no more, I will just come here instead.

Lunch box 1130am-230pm. 10-15$ depending if 2-4 items. Owner very generous. Will fill your box beyond what it costs to make it. Also can go after closing where they doing prep for the next day. Great duck and pork legs you can get fresh out of the oven.

My partner is from Shanghai and they say the food is very authentic. Both owners and chefs are Shanghainese. We ordered some classic Shanghai dishes like spare ribs and rice cakes, 8 treasures sauce (you can order it as a single dish rather than with noodles), and fish filet with imitation crab! They are definitely different from the traditional Chinese version but this restaurant made their own version tasty as well with local ingredients!

Authentic Shanghai cuisine. Try the song shu yu(sweet and sour fried fish), clay pot pork ribs soup, eel, clay pot pork ribs with potato, sesames rice ball sweet wine soup, many dishes and appetizers are tasty, a taste and fragrant from a Chinese wok . Price is reasonable. I come oftenly.

Authentic and delicious Shanghainese food. Clean restaurant, fresh ingredients, very nicely prepared. Came here with my family (who's from Shanghai) and enjoyed the atmosphere, great food, and good service. The waitress spoke Shanghainese, which was an unexpected plus. Will be back!

Great place for traditional Shanghainese food. Highly recommend the bamboo soup (can be a little on the saltier side), winter melon soup, and leek boxes. Soups have a very rich broth and the leek boxes come with a good mix of leek, eggs, glad noodles, and little shrimp. Recently tried the spicy garlic pork, pork is leaner than other places, flavor is spot on. Also tried the Q buns, they're like fluffy chewy sweet bread with filling, pretty good. Also had the salted egg yolk silk squash, flavor was good but the squash needed another minute in the pot. Avoid the small Wonton soup, very bland. Still going through and trying additional items, but currently it's my favorite local Chinese food joint. Can't speak to the lunch or deli items, I typically get my dinner here to go.

Delicious food here! Wish they would update their menu so we don't keep ordering things they don't serve (rice roll, porridge, scallop, etc) Btw, they are serving broccoli as "gai lan". If you actually want gai lan, you need to specify "Chinese broccoli". Ordering gai lan in Chinese doesn't work either, they'll just give you broccoli.

I enjoyed the vegetarian dish and fried rice. Fried tofu nicely cooked. soup was very good and egg plant. could use more vegetarian options. Nice owner. However I went in one evening and asked him if I could have the same fried tofu and vegetable dish, he charged me dinner prices but when I got home what I had was a soup with soft tofu that I couldn't eat I don't know what it was. So I guess the communication is not very good here but the lunch line was enjoyable.

We had two dishes: curry chicken and shredded pork with hot garlic sauce. Both were appropriately spicy with a hint of Shanghai-style sweetness, and had high quality ingredients with vegetables cooked tender-crisp. Portions were generous. Food would have deserved five stars, but restaurant ambience was depressing, service a bit slow, and restrooms were closed, so deducted one star from rating.

R

At the time I went it seems like the person that was handling food, cashier and to go orders needed more help at that time, but my orange chicken was on fire and crispy. Thank you

I'm excited for a decent Chinese restaurant on this side of town. We went for dinner and got Salted Pork with Bamboo Shoot Casserole (醃篤鮮砂鍋), Shanghai Siu Mai, and Veggie Bun. I really liked the 醃篤鮮. It's one of the best I've had in the Bay Area. The others were from Dim Sum section and were OK. Price was pretty decent too with just over $20 with half of the 醃篤鮮 left over. We liked the hot tea; they were real Chinese loose tea leaves instead of cheap tea bags. Seems to be a family run business. There's a lot of Shanghai and Taiwan style menu items. By the accents, we're guessing the mom is Taiwanese and dad is Shanghainese. We also heard people talking Mandarin from the kitchen so you know it's legit Chinese food. Dim sum items were a bit slow to come out by Chinese food standards, and some menu items weren't available. We hope that these kinks are because they just opened and they will improve over time. We will definitely be coming back! I plan on trying some of the Taiwanese dishes next time.

Great place to have Shanghai taste food. Store owner is from Shanghai, but also provides Chinese dishes in other local taste. Easy parking, price is reasonable, around $20 ppl.

Decent food but the service was a little bit disorganized. I only saw two people working to service like 12 tables for a busy Friday night and they have put the wrong dishes onto my table twice. The dried tofu appetizer (四喜烤麸) had the right taste and flavor but was a little bit too hard. It is supposed to be softer but still chewy. The shanghai style veggie rice (菜饭) was well-done, savory and with the authentic smoked pork meat! The spicy eel (鳝鱼) was also quite nice! I need to bring my Shanghainese friend here for an ultimate judge next time.

LUNCH SPECIALS TO GET YOU RIGHT! I can on a rainy day got a lunch special for fried rice, orange chicken, Bro Olli beef, and hot and sour soup. The fried rice was good and had lots of toppings, but it was nothing special! However the orange chicken was really good with it still being crunchy even after being out for a long time it was crunchy and sweet and extremely tasty, however the broccoli beef was extremely mid with the servers giving me mostly broccoli and the beef tasted a little too gamey. The hot and sour soup was also all right, but it didn’t have much flavor either and the toppings inside didn’t have any texture. OVERALL I would not come again as it wasn’t too special, however if you want a cheap meal it would be worth it if you know what to get!

The Food was good but the service was very sloooow. It seemed like take out was the priority. We sat there waiting for our first dish to arrive for at least 30 minutes and finally received our last dish of the 6 ordered almost 40 minutes later. While people would come in, walk up to the counter, order and leave with bags of food in the time it took us to get one dim sum sized basket of dumplings.

I went out of may way to try Jin Jin because a friend recommended it to me and I was in the area. Parking is a bit difficult because Bank of America has a majority of the spaces marked off - rude! The staff were all very nice and welcoming. It wasn't busy and I told the server behind the counter it was my first time. He explained the plate sizes and the dishes to me to help me choose. I got the sliced roasted chicken and mixed vegetables in beef sauce (eggplant, green beans, sweet potato) with the choice of fried rice or chow mein, not both, and an egg roll. It's your standard Chinese takeout spot where the food is premade so service was fast. There is a fridge of bottled water, canned sodas, and bottled beers. I got a couple of sodas and they offered me a glass with ice even though the soda was cold. I spent about $13 on a 2-item plate, two sodas, and 1 egg roll. The portion sizes are good considering a 2-item plate. The food was just OK though. The egg roll was on the garlic side, which I like but others may not. Overall the meal just lacked in flavor. I was searching for soy sauce to make up for it but couldn't find any. The chicken was sliced through the single bone which I had to eat around. I thought it would come off easier. It looked better than it tasted. The veggies were fine but a bit soggy. I wouldn't seek out this place again. I'm glad to have lunch at a locally owned place for a change though, considering all the chains out here.

Food actually is pretty good , fresh and clean . I guess because location is @ Sunnyvale , price is little bit high if compared with other locations Chinese food . Ordered house tofu special and Wonton soup bill is $ 39 Each table is very close is not comfortable.

We saw lots of really great reviews, and so felt confident to use this restaurant. While the orange beef was really quite good, the twice cooked pork was way more fat than pork. The taste of the twice cooked pork was delicious, spicy with that umaman flavoring, which I really enjoyed. But the amount of fat on each slice of pork was disturbing to the Western eye. Far more concerning was the finding of several pieces of hair and even a piece of METAL in our chicken and mushroom dish. I should have taken a picture. No, we are not eating here again. The two stars are for the flavors of the orange beef and twice cooked pork. Major deduction is for the hair and metal found in the mushroom chicken. That is simply unacceptable.

Good food, but the portion is getting less and less. When I brought the issue to the owner, who is the cashier, he said “it depends on the people (who pack the lunch box)” The item in the picture is a $10, 2 item lunch. I did not include the picture of the complementary soup. The worst thing is, they just raised the price recently.

The first couple of times i tried and it was amazing, but lately when i order my plare seems to be smaller portion. i ask my Chinese friend to order the same thing and seems like if your non Chinese they give you less. ju really upset when i open my plate ihave 4 chicken pieces and my beef and bbroccoli only have 2 small piece. Upsetting and non gonna support anymore.

Food is ok. But the whole place is not well organized. I preorder food to pick up at 5:30. But when I get there at 5:20. I didn’t get food until 6:10. And one of the dish is not available. Other people has the same situation. People in front of us ordered food at 4:30 and didn’t get by 5:30. So expect to wait an hour if you plan to go there to order food.

R

Unforgivably incompetent service. Customers have to babysit the workers to make sure they get their food. I came in person to order takeout shortly after they opened at 5pm and they said my order would be done in 30 minutes, which was longer than I was expecting for simple stir-fry dishes and before a dinner rush, but bearable. I waited at their outdoor seating because I had a baby in tow and came back half an hour later. There were multiple people waiting for their orders, including the person who ordered just before me so I waited with them. I could tell everyone else was growing impatient waiting. I waited another 20 minutes in plain view of them before finally asking when my order would be ready and the guy already forgot I ordered in person from him because I had to tell him my order again and apparently it had been ready for over 20 minutes and no one bothered to say anything. Didn't call me in from outside, didn't ask what I ordered when I came back in. Just wasted my entire family's time and let the food go cold. The two service workers (owners?) were clearly disinterested in working and took no pride in their work. Take-out orders were being clumsily assembled behind their counter. They could've taken my number to call me, stepped outside, or checked with me when I came back inside in the worst case, but they just ignored me. Even just putting finished ordered on some of the many unused tables so you can find your order would be better than this. It's not my job to check with you every 5 minutes to see if my food is ready. The food was fine, but already cold and bittered by the service when we got to eat it.

Awful food management. We ordered lunch combo and they dropped our box in front of us. The lady used her hand to pick out some food on the top and still wanted us to have that. It is hard to believe a restaurant could do such stuff right in front of their customers and it made me wonder how they deal with such cases behind the scene. Also food is cold.

I ordered Pick up through Postmates. After half an hour I got message saying it’s ready for pick up. I arrived at the place after than 10min and waited for another 30min or so and it was still NOT ready! The owner said the ready for pick up message was sent automatically by postmates (??) and it means nothing. Ridiculous. I asked a few times and the owner complained that I should not rushing them as they have 2 people at the front desk and 2 back in the kitchen. The old lady at the front desk never answer my question about when the meal is gonna be ready. The old lady even complained about us to another guy in Shanghainese. Rude and disrespectful.

N
Nathan Icy

Which stup*d genius had the idea that for take out food only start cooking when customer arrives? I ordered online for sake of saving my time and you are telling me I need to wait 30 mins when arrived for pickup. Because you only start cooking once customer arrives? What a waste of time. And this is definitely the dumbest restaurant in Bay Area.

D
Dat Tran

Worse Chinese food in the whole Bay Area. Waiting time for a simple fried rice takes an hour. Fried rice was rushed and and some of the shrimp was still cold. Look and taste like the cook just stirred rice and sea food together real fast and serves. Not happy at all.

We had a lunch on a weekend. The place was totally empty at noon and the waitress seemed very surprised to know that we wanted to dine in. Clearly none of the tables were ready. We waited about 20 min for our food even though there was few customers there. The worst was the food. We tried noodles葱油拌面, spicy chicken辣子鸡, and Xiao Long Bao小笼包, and all of them were below average level. The noodles had a bad smell, possibility from the dried shrimp going bad. The chicken was too dry and flavorless except for some artificial spicy powders. The XiaoLongBao had OK flavor, but not authentic as there was no soup inside. Would never go again. 不好吃,不正宗,服务也不好,吃了拉肚子,避雷!

I ordered 3 dishes for take-out and none of them tasted good, the taste is much worse than before. What makes me frustrating is the smoked fish tasted unusually sour! This is really unacceptable let alone their higher price than average. How can the owner give sour food to their customer, really disappointing for sure. Be careful to eat there if it's your first time or haven't visited them for a while, their quality is really bad now with a higher price!

Food is great and quality but service is unbearably slow. There is only one person who works the front and he does one thing at a time. Very, very slowly. Most people just walk out because they’re tired of waiting. It’s not uncommon to wait 20+ minutes before you’re even addressed.
