I ordered online, and haven't been here since it was Lake Wolford Cafe. However, the food was still great, and staff is very friendly with quick service!

My family and I went to this wonderful diner for the first time. Passing it by everytime, we finally stopped and had breakfast. DELICIOUS BREAKFAST!! The dishes that we all ordered, the Denver Omlette, the Ham and Cheese Omlette and the Corn Beef Hash. The South West Potatoes were delicious and filling. Cooked perfectly!! Everything we had on our plates were cooked with love! You can tell 😉 The server, Trish, beautiful and delightful!!! Not shy of carring for the customers and being a delight to talk with. Pleasant and kind 🥰 The atmosphere was spacious and rustic! A very large menu for.your eyes to feast on! Please make a nice drive out to this hometown feeling diner! Just delightful. Excellent, fresh, well-seasoned food and friendly attentive service in a casual environment. Had a tostada and a burrito, both among the best we've ever had. Will definitely come back often. Definitely recommend.

Recently under new ownership/management, retains great food from the past and a great new menu offering also. Very nice atmosphere with great service and personal attention to detail. Very friendly service. A great country dining experience. Very handy distance from Valley Center and Paradise Mountain areas. Very convenient, easy parking. We have been going to this restaurant for over twenty years and this is the best it's ever been, just in time for Memorial Day 2024. Try out and enjoy this restaurant. Jim and Mary Harvey.

This is a down to earth homestyle country restaurant and bar. Staff is great and we were part of a group. Overall, we all agreed that the food was decent and good. The wings were disappointing. They have you 4 wings for $8 during the special. And it was the smallest part of the wing. The Mexican food was pretty good. Good margaritas.

I love having the taco salad bowl, they serve a delicious albondiga soup, I took my sister-in-law and she ordered the chili bean soup and it was amazing great portion . My son had the brisket sandwich and he loved it .they have lots of delicious entrees. If you're in the area you definitely must stop by. Ps. I can't forget the lady that comes by your table and makes the fresh guacamole it's delicious..

Typical country diner fare with a Tex-mex slant. I came here from breakfast with friends and had the pork chops & eggs with the Texas potatoes. Everything was tasty, although the pork chops were a little over cooked (and dry) and the potatoes could have been a little more crispy

When my daughter called in and ordered two menu items, they said "soup or salad" as if it was included. They billed her an extra $8 for two small cups of soup, only to find out after getting home. I called them to complain, and they said they would reimburse if my daughter came back in, but it was too far for my daughter to go back. Make sure to verify your order.

I went there maybe 20 times and tried several of their dishes. It is close and wanted to give them a fair chance. Every time was different. Sometimes a decent portion Sometimes half the amount. Sometimes the food was good sometimes bad. Sometimes service was good, sometimes bad. But, after the owner yelled at my friend's and after I got over charged, I'm not going back. No, I can't recommend this place. If I'm going to spend $25 or more on a meal, I want great food, great service, great atmosphere and a great experience. This place does not offer that.

CLOSED AS OF 8/27/25 FOR VERMIN INFESTATION! And I can tell you it’s rats/mice because we’ve seen them running the roof/window sills & now we are also fighting their issue. Thanks cocina Tex Mex!
