Old school burger joint, that adds in some fun Korean dishes as well. Fantastic ingredients, incredible staff. Absolute mainstay of the community.

Every part of this place rocks. Burger is incredible, they grind their own meat in house, the owner is really nice and friendly, loved talking to the other patrons. Will definitely come again, wish I had more places like this in my own neighborhood.

My boyfriend and I have always wanted to try it. We finally tried and were highly satisfied. Quality of food was excellent and fresh. We highly recommend. We are from Napa and we don’t have a good place for burgers. So we will definitely be coming back to this place !

I went there on a Saturday after lunch time and I lucked out that it was empty. I also got a parking spot infront of the place. The food was as simple as can be and everything was sold separately, no “meal item” ..I got a regular hamburger, sweet potato fries and a chocolate frosty. The burger was cooked to my satisfaction and the fries was hot and soft. The frosty was a good consistency, not too watery and not too thick. I got to talk to the new owner and he was very friendly, accommodating and thoughtful. I saw him talked to all the people that were eating at the restaurant. The vibe was very welcoming and warm. Parking spot is the only issue as it is limited. So avoid the meal times or just get it to go. I’ll definitely go back and bring my family next time.

If u love a local burger joint and in the east bay then def come here. The ground up their meet and remove all the funky gunk so u just have a juicy, fat burger. No longer owned by George but as good as ever. My favs are Swiss mushroom burger/cali burger with their fatty wedge cut fries mmm mmmmmm

By far, the best burger place in the SF Bay area. Buns are toasted, burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. Bacon was extra crispy. Fries were crunchy and delicious without being oily. They also have soft serve ice cream and rice dishes, like Korean bulgogi and even Hawaiian Loco Moco. Definitely a local favorite and the customers seemed to know the staff on a first name basis.

Cheeseburger was rich, smoky, cheesy goodness with drizzling au jus just about every bite. And bulgogi burger… omg it is amazing. The sweet sautéed onion and then meaty saltiness with crunchy French roll. I took so many bites and wanted more. It’s pretty good sized burger too. I normally leave some buns when I eat burgers or sandwiches, but bun to meat ratio was on point. Also, I couldn’t help but notice how spanking clean this place is despite looking nostalgic old school establishment. Tables, countertops, salt and pepper shakers, floor, chairs, ketchup spouts, etc all clean. No stickiness, no dust, no dried sauce. Full of locals, attentive and personal service to everyone dining here. I’m not a local here but it’s worth coming back for. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Enjoyed a tasty high-quality cheeseburger with the extra fixings. Just what I expected! A perfect indulgence. Staff were very attentive, and I could tell the grill master was preparing a broad range of favorites.

The ambiance is that classic old school burger shop you love. The other food like the bulgogi poutine and the Loco Moco looked delightful as well but the burger on a roll with grilled onions really hit the spot.

Fresh meat that is grinder daily from the fresh cut meats and made into a patty, grilled juicy and tender. Freshly cut tomatoes and greens make the burger look up and ready to be consumed. Surprisingly even the bacon added to JJ’s burger was not greasy and completed the taste. The bun was fluffy and dry. Inside interior might need a bit of a touchup, however it sure feels the place with the authenticity of an old days. Place is ran by its owner, who was on site and actively cooking and serving the clients. Thank you John for keeping the pace off Georgia’s Giant Hamburgers the way it is. All in all we’ve found our self a place in Walnut Creek to satisfy our burger crave.

George’s Giant Hamburger is the definition of a neighborhood gem. I ordered the bulgogi fries — packed with flavor and topped with tender, fresh beef — and a classic cheeseburger. The burger was juicy and perfectly balanced, not oversalted like you find at other spots. The staff are incredibly friendly, and you can tell it’s a true family-owned place. Photos of their son line the wall, and it’s clear that generations of locals have made this their go-to spot. Even while I was there, the cooks knew nearly every customer by name (one of them was even the owner of Evergood Sausage). What a great local place for a good burger! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the food was great. I had a cheeseburger combo. The meat was not greasy and melted in my mouth. The veggies were crispy and fresh. The owner is also extremely friendly and passionate.

I had not been here in several years. And I was pleasantly surprised. It was refreshing to see an owner so passionate and vested in his business and customers! He knows and excitedly greets his usual customers and very friendly even to the newbies. When he is not taking orders he comes out to the tables to bring you napkins or condiments and checking on the customers. Might sound like exactly what should be done, but these days it feels like that’s rarely the case, so I was impressed to see some good old fashioned and super friendly customer service, especially from a counter service restaurant. My food was very good as well. The burgers are made from fresh ground meat patties, ground daily. Everything tasted and looked fresh. My curly fries were cooked to the perfect crispness as well. I look forward to going back and trying more of their menu items as they have some unique options to choose from as well.

Absolutely phenomenal food!!! No crazy over the top menu, just real homemade type food! The best food I’ve had in the bay. The ambience is very family oriented and inviting. The service was insane, the owner was extremely kind and friendly, took time out of his day to chat with us and bring our kids ice cream. I will always come back here when I’m in Walnut Creek!

He knows and excitedly greets his usual customers and very friendly even to the newbies.
