Opinions de Fleming's Walnut Creek
Excellent service. Dishes were served hot and it was equally seasoned. Host, servers and staff smiled! I'm in hospitality and first impression from the moment guests walk in is crucial to the experience. The manager and beverage manager on duty were personable and friendly. On the floor assuring that guests were taken care of. I appreciated that. Overall, 4.7 only because there was no valet service. They are working on it.
Came to Flemings and had an amazing experience. Our server was excellent and checked in the perfect amount. Food was just immaculate. We had the surf and turf for two, it was just divine. Everything was delicious. The truffle mashed potatoes are definitely a must. The oysters were not the best I have had be they were still enjoyable. I didn’t expect to like the desert because it was dark chocolate but it wasn’t too bitter or too sweet. It was a bit loud but the noise died down through the dinner. 10/10 experience. Definitely recommend.
Made reservations for valentines weekend, ordered the surf and turf special. Porterhouse cooked to perfection. Quality service, and nice atmosphere. Lobster tail and oysters were good. A bit of a louder environment, but still casual with nice selection of music. Large variety of wine and drink choices.
The best service as they were fun and very attentive. All the food tasted good.
3rd time eating at Fleming's and it didn't disappoint. The food and the service were spectacular for our anniversary dinner. They made accommodation for our 2 children and a baby at the table, and never skipped the bright smiles. The only "ouch" I would say its the space: I feel this location is a little smaller and cramped than other locations. Nonetheless, never mind the space when the steaks, quality-price, and the service are exceptional.
I just had the most incredible birthday dinner at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse in Walnut Creek, and I'm still smiling about it! If I could give 10 stars, I would—this place deserves every single one and more! From the moment we walked in, the staff made my guests and me feel right at home. The level of attention to detail and genuine warmth was something I haven't experienced in a long time. Our server, Zach, was outstanding—knowledgeable, attentive, and always one step ahead. Chef Charles absolutely knocked it out of the park with the food; everything was perfectly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the appetizers to the steaks and chilian sea bass, they were cooked all to perfection, and the sides and desserts were just as amazing. A special shoutout to the bar staff as well, they were also incredibly attentive and made the whole evening even more enjoyable with their fantastic service and cocktails. Every single person we interacted with contributed to making my birthday so special and memorable. The food was phenomenal, the service was flawless, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and celebratory. I can't thank the entire team enough. We'll definitely be back soon—can't wait! 5/5 stars (but honestly, it's a 10/10 experience)
We went to Flemings Steakhouse in Walnut Creek. The food was good and we had phenomenal service from Alejandra Barranco. This young lady was on point from the moment she came to our table. Just exceptional. We will personally request her from now on.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fleming’s Steakhouse in Walnut Creek is a fantastic choice for a celebration 🎉 or an intimate dining experience 🥂. The host staff is always warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive 😊, and the wait staff is extremely efficient and knowledgeable about the menu 👌📖. Every dish is prepared exactly to your request and packed with incredible flavor 🥩🔥. The vibe and atmosphere are spot-on—whether you’re enjoying the dining room or relaxing at the bar 🍷✨. Always a wonderful experience!
Food is incredible, excellent service. Inside is old and could be updated a little more modern. But it was a really nice experience for our anniversary with a little cute gift 👍 Emily did a good job with a friendly smile. We shared a tomahawk because it‘s a big portion, took a crème brûlée, which was a little bit too sweet for our taste but had a perfect crust. Got very busy, many people.
Food was great, got a good deal for tomahawk Tuesday with 2 salads, 2 sides, 2 desserts and a 35oz tomahawk steak. What really made the night special was our server, Nichole, who was extremely attentive, kind, professional and overall a fantastic server. It’s not often you go out and get exemplary service anymore and I’m glad Nichole was able to make an exception to this. We will certainly be back and ask to be sat in her section.
I didn’t expect this restaurant to be so good! We went for my BD lunch and everything was great. I had the salmon, which was delicious. I was told the stake was really tender, and surprisingly, the Brussels sprouts turned out to be one of the best dishes of the meal. Prices were actually quite reasonable, too. The only small thing I’d suggest is adding a window, it would give the place a more open feeling and make it easier for people to see inside before walking in. The location is very convenient, directly connected to the parking structure.
Have been here 4-5 times now and it is our favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek thank you guys for all the love that you show us every time we come in for special occasions. Only once has my steak been undercooked and had to go back a couple of times lol, it ended up being great and always a great experience.
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse – Tomahawk Tuesdays are a must! I probably come here once a month just for Tomahawk Tuesday. As someone who eats at a lot of high-end steakhouses, I can confidently say Fleming’s tomahawk is one of the best out there—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. Their other steaks are solid too, but the tomahawk is the star. The Tuesday deal is unbeatable: for $150 you get two salads, two sides, a massive tomahawk (normally $120 on its own), and two desserts. It’s an insane value for a top-tier meal. Perfect for date night, business dinner, or just treating yourself midweek. And the service? Always outstanding. The staff is professional, attentive, and makes the whole experience feel special from start to finish. Great food, great vibes, great service—it’s become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend.
Flemming’s steakhouse in Walnut Creek-vibe is as close you’ll get to a dinning ambiance in the big city. It’s a mix of classic steakhouse with a modern casual informal touch meaning folks come in “dress to impress” or casual straight off the golf course. The wait team are well coordinated and every dining experience were well executed even during the peak dinner times. The steaks were cooked perfectly both medium rare for the wife and medium for me. I always bring wine that comes with a nominal fee. Top notch steakhouse on the East Bay with great service and an enjoyable dinning atmosphere.
A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fleming Restaurant and I must say it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the stage for what would be an unforgettable meal. Food: Every dish was a masterpiece. I started with the mushrooms with garlic and ceasar salad the dressing just right in perfection which were seasoned and bursting with flavor. We ordered, the tomahawk steak dinner was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the carrot cake dessert was the cherry on top, literally and figuratively! It’s clear that the chefs take great pride in using fresh, high-quality ingredients and delivering dishes that delight both the palate and the eye. Service: The service was outstanding. Our server, John and manager were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that every detail was taken care of. It was refreshing to see such professionalism combined with genuine warmth. Ambiance: The ambiance was perfect, lighting, and decor all added to the overall experience, making it a wonderful place for a special occasion/date night/family dinner. Overall: I definitely recommend Fleming’s restaurant. Whether you’re a foodie or simply looking for a great meal with excellent service, this place delivers on all fronts. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their incredible menu. 5/5 stars—an absolute gem!
To start the manager came and opened our bottle of wine and put into a decanter as of it was $1000 dollar bottle of wine. A class of his own, kudos. The bartender was just as amazing. Let us take out time and enjoyed 90 minutes relaxed and well fed. Tried the special tonight, top notch and very appreciated. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks!
The overall service was good. There was, however, a standout associate...a host whose name is Nasir. Nasir is great. He pays attention to what you say and what you do as he is escorting you to your table to make your Fleming's experience excellent. After you are seating, he assures that you are comfortable (offering to check your coat, etc), asks you questions about your preferences and points out items that may be of interest, without being pushy. I forgot that I had checked my coat. However, when I got to the door, Nasir had it in hand and was prepared to assist me putting it on. GREAT FLEMINGS ASSET!
Overall, had a lovely experience. The server was attentive and polite. Our food came out pretty quickly and was all correct and delicious. The French onion soup was a bit too cheesy (felt like barely any soup) but some people love that. We came in shortly after opening time (sat at 4:45) after shopping. Nice quiet dining experience around that time.
Fleming’s has that classic steakhouse vibe - dim lights, peaceful, and relatively quiet, making it a great spot for a relaxed dinner. In our case was a birthday celebration of our good old friend. Service was a bit uneven. I sometimes had to flag down the server, though the busboy was noticeably more attentive and helpful throughout the evening. Well deserved and received a bonus. The appetizers didn’t shine at all. Calamari was average, Brussels sprouts were over-fried (as usual), and while the onion rings came in a nice presentation, the taste was nothing memorable. The 4oz Wagyu also fell flat. On the other hand, the 20oz bone-in ribeye was phenomenal - perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and absolutely worth the splurge. It’s the highlight of the menu and definitely justifies the price. Overall, Fleming’s delivers a classy steakhouse experience, best appreciated if you’re here for the steaks. I’d consider coming back to explore more of the menu (tomahawk Tuesday?), but for now, the ribeye is the reason to go.
We had a delightful time at Fleming's in Walnut Creek. Part of a national chain that bills itself as a higher end steakhouse and wine bar, Fleming's fits the bill if you're looking for a place to celebrate whatever you're in the mood to celebrate. Prices are, as expected, on the higher side, but you get a solid high-end steak house experience. Being a steak house, we went for the steak. Their dry aged steaks are legitimately good and cooked properly. You definitely taste the richness and intensity of the beef.. We call it "the funk," but if you pay closer attention, you can taste the floral notes stemming from the natural decay that is part of the dry aging process. A 14-ounce dry aged rib eye runs 75 dollars, a fair price, in my opinion. Other winners are the beef carpaccio, fried misutake mushrooms appetizer, roasted brussel sprouts, and the lobster mashed potatoes. Pair the lobster mashed potatoes with your steak, and you have a mini higher-end surf and turf. It's delicious. Ambiance wise, the dining room is cozy, almost club like, perhaps because there are no windows. The wood paneling makes the dining room look elegant but also smaller than it is. The atmosphere is casual elegant. No shorts and flip flops, but no suit and tie required either. Many of the customers are here to celebrate something and are dressed accordingly. Service is fantastic. Everyone from the hostess all the way to the busser was friendly, attentive, and helpful. We were checked on constantly, and by several different members of the staff (maybe because we ordered a lot of food). More importantly, there was no pretentiousness or snobbiness from the wait staff. They're there to help you enjoy a nice meal, and these days, that's all one really wants. We liked Fleming's in Walnut Creek. The meal was expensive, but the experience was memorable. It's a worthy choice for those looking to splurge on a meal with family and friends.
Tip for First-Time Visitors: Be sure to park on the second floor of the parking garage, as the restaurant will validate your parking while you enjoy your meal. I recently visited Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar to celebrate a friend's birthday, and it was truly a delightful experience. The food was exceptional, though I suggest ordering your steak medium rare instead of medium, as mine was a bit closer to the medium well side. Overall, it was a wonderful evening!
The service was attentive and professional. The atmosphere was…fine. Extremely busy on the night I went, and pretty loud. But the prices for what I thought was just a slightly above average meal seemed exorbitant. I ordered the largest filet mignon, supposedly 11oz, but it looked suspiciously smaller than the 8oz cuts I’ve had elsewhere. Hard to say without a scale. My dry steak by itself on a white plate was $67, which would have been a fine price if it came with anything, even a slab of butter. But if you want sauce or mushrooms on it they will run you another $20+ each. I ordered the mushrooms with butter but they were also dry, on top of my dry steak. I ended up using the butter from the strange loaf of white bread they give you when you sit down to create some lubricant to choke it all down. If you would like anything to go with your dry steak, you can order a few different sides, also for $20+ each. The brussel sprouts were delicious and seemed worth that price, while the $20 side of mashed potatoes had a strange texture and virtually no flavor. I ate alone—no appetizers, no drinks—and the bill came to $170. For that price, I’d expect the food to be much better. I get that costs are high and I’m sure they’re just passing that on to the customers, but a few simple improvements, like whipping some cream into the potatoes or adding some au jus to the steak, or just infusing a bit of culinary creativity into their offerings, would go a long way. As it stands, it’s an overpriced meal that doesn’t justify the cost.
The service? Spot on. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere? Nothing asthetic but pleasant enough. The drinks? Ok, I had a Castaway and a Lemon Drop, both enjoyable enough to order but not reorder. Now, the food… well, let’s just say if you love deep-fried everything, you’ll be in heaven. The entrées felt more like a takeaway sampler than restaurant quality, deep-fried mushrooms, deep-fried onion rings, fried crab cakes (which were okay). I was expecting rich, flavorful dishes, but instead, fast food plated well. Maybe it’s an American thing? The steak? We ordered medium+ and got charcoal+. Burnt to a crisp on the outside, tough, and totally lacking flavor (hard to have any when it’s torched). The sides had potential, brussels sprouts could’ve been great, but the chef seems to love the burnt aesthetic. The asparagus and mac & cheese were the only things that were ok. I hate to say this, but definetly not worth the attention. Way overpriced too.
My husband and I went to Fleming’s for Thanksgiving. What a terrible decision, we arrived on time for our reservation, but were seated late. It took about 23 minutes to place our order. Our appetizers also took a very long time to show up, then when they finally did show up, our soups, tasted like melted plastic and were cold. When our steaks arrived, they were OK. I expected better from a Fleming’s, but it was just mediocre quality. My cranberry sauce had way too much cinnamon and tasted like potpourri. Mashed potatoes lacked any flavor at all did not even have butter or any salt. The turkey was not bad, but definitely could’ve used more gravy. Our server felt terrible and offered us dessert on the house, however, this was not what we asked for or wanted. I was very disappointed and I don’t think I’ll ever return to a Fleming’s ever again. Not worth $250, mediocre at best.
