Maria V’s level of service is nothing short of phenomenal!! I ordered the Pork Belly Banh Mi and I was doubtful at first but then I tried it and it was amazing! Absolutely delicious!! The restaurant was clean including the bathrooms. That says a lot.

We were at Mendocino Farms last Sunday, the food is actually very good, it is a shame that it is so crowded at lunch time, we had the idea of ​​leaving however one of the people who works there approached us, his name is Maria or Marta, and she told us about the variety of the menu, with very kind and funny points of view, she entertained us in line and we decided to wait, in reality it was a little delayed (15 minutes) but Maria was attentive to the order throughout the entire time and in the end it was worth it, the goat cheese salad was wonderful! We will return another time!

Maria is the best! She went out of her way to replace my sandwich and hand deliver it to me! She is truly a brand ambassador for Mendecino! Another great visit today! Had the new Black Tie club, so good! Tascha and Amber were both delightful!

I ordered catering for delivery. The food turned out great, and they were very accommodating for food allergies. Delivery was on time. I had the BBQ chicken skewers, caprese skewers and Caesar salad. All crowd pleasers, thank you!

Got the strawberry salad with chicken and it was incredibly delicious! Perfect for summer time in the easy bay! Definitely reccomend ordering ahead since it can get busy but other than that it is fantastic!

Maria was our cashier and visited us at our table. We thought she was a manager the way she treated us. She had an ownership attitude and treated us like we were over to her home for dinner. Smiles, polite, friendly and helpful. She made appropriate suggestions for our meal and was a delight in every way. I visited your restaurant on Saturday, May 31st, needing to place a last-minute catering order. María at the counter was absolutely amazing—she patiently helped me choose the quinoa and avocado salad, which was fresh, flavorful, and a perfect fit for our event. Even though I was told that same-day catering orders are usually not possible, María went above and beyond to make it happen and ensured the order was ready by 12 noon, just in time. She also gave us some great tips and helped us select two different side dishes, both of which were a big hit. I truly appreciate the exceptional service and care. This place has great salads and the workers are friendly. We order on DoorDash and pick up and it's very quick. Fresh ingredients. Was surprised but now it's a family dinner favorite when we want something healthy!

YUM! My husband and I really enjoyed dinner here. I had a huge Thai mango chicken salad which was unbelievably fresh and delicious. My DH had the Farm Club ( which was "dope" - very yummy, especially with the avocado. ) The Oaxaca potato salad had a nice kick. The drink selection was also amazing- lots of different lemonade and even a healthy green stuff drink. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Fun, relaxed atmosphere and a huge variety of fresh, high quality meal choices.

My husband and I had lunch here today after their grand opening and wow were we impressed. From the service to the food we had a great experience. We ordered the Caesar salad which was presented beautifully and tasted fresh - one of the best Caesar salads I’ve had myself. We also ordered the chimichurri steak and bacon sandwich which was also delicious. On top of the amazing food was the constant attention from their staff to all the customers. Being in the customer service industry myself I was very impressed by the constant check ins and attention to the needs of the customers. In particular, Cory, one of the staff there recognized each customer and checked in with us frequently. Even as a more casual sit down restaurant the attention he provided was amazing. We were throughly impressed and will definitely be back again!

Looooooove this place! I originally tried them when we lived in San Mateo and was so sad when we moved to Concord and there wasn't one here. Then I found out that they were opening one and my husband and I are here weekly sometimes several times a week. Service has always been amazing super friendly workers and the food is always fresh and delicious. Our current go to is the sweet peach goat cheese salad that we can also alternate the chicken for tofu their vegan banh mi and Peruvian steak sandwich. Trenice was amazing when there's was a mishap with an order and she when above and beyond to make things right and just had a really great personality. We went in today and were helped by Maria at the cash register and she was also so lovely. We are so happy to have them in town in Walnut Creek.

We came for lunch on Thursday at 1pm. Line moved quickly. I was pleased with the variety of sandwiches and salads. I had the hot honey prosciutto and peach sandwich. It was pleasantly spicy. The watermelon salad was delicious as well. My companion had a cobb sandwich and corn soup that he enjoyed as well. I loved the addition of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Will be back soon.

I also noticed that the employees do not usually change their gloves constantly, however to my relief I noticed that the salad lady did. Everything is fine, just improve that and I don't know why it took so long if the place was almost empty but it is delicious.

I can fully agree with the time from order to receiving food. For a fast food restaurant making sandwiches it’s taken 30 min or more every single time. Food is great but small and expensive!

Over rated ok fresh food but odd combinations

1) I would advise the operators of this restaurant that it is only a matter of time before one of your customers sustains a serious posterior skull injury from the upper steel framework of the turf grass backrests on the north side seating area. It is very easy to strike one's head against that steel edge while sitting back into those seats. 2) I came back on Thursday, October 26 at 8:34 pm and ordered two Mediterranean Crunch Chicken Salads to go from "Sophia." When I arrived home I discovered that both salad containers were only half filled and neither container had any chicken in it.

I'm generally not one to write a bad review, however my experience at Mendocino Farms in WC is overdue with a review. On Sunday, May 26th , I ordered (2) salads to go. Both salads I PAID EXTRA to get extra chicken. When I arrived home, there was no chicken in one of the salads and the second salad had the chicken but the dressing was left out. This has happened to me not just once but 3xs now. I shouldn't have to look in my bag prior to leaving the restaurant to ensure the order is correct each time. What ever happened to quality control?

3rd time ordering the pink lady beet salad. The place was not busy, even online orders didnt look busy. I had to wait 20 minutes for my salad. At 15 minutes I asked how long for my order, and I was told they had a big order in front of mine... but I never saw anything that looked like a big order. I asked for the dressing to be tossed this time. It had sooo much dressing the salad borderlined inedible. When I neared the end, I realized my salad didnt come with the blop of goat cheese in the center like it did the first 2 times. Couldnt see any goat cheese unless it melted with the dressing when they tossed it. Ill go back to try a sandwich, but not on the chance of having a bad expensive salad.

Their food is pretty good but they seem unorganized and they've made a mistake every time I've ordered from them (3x). Today was my strike out moment - my husband's salad asked for no cheese, there was cheese. I got the "not so fried" chicken - salad style (it's a sandwich) and there was *no chicken* 😮‍💨. Their other mistake worked in our favor, as they put a container of couscous in our bag that we had already grabbed from the front at checkout, but I'm confused why them have them at front if they also add them to the bag. All in all, I'll just go to Sweetgreen, Urban Plates, or Lettuce instead from now on.

We ordered 2 sandwiches and they got mixed up on the label. "Sorry honey, I ate some of yours" then we found out mine was made wrong. It was missing 2 key ingrediants. Not so capresey! Overall is was tasty. Also, the tables were all dirty.

Tasty Peruvian chicken, but just waaaay to expensive for the price. If it was a bigger sandwich with more meat then I would be leaving top scores. Chicken on Caesar salad was cheap tasting.

Almost an hour wait, a text that never arrived. Food sitting in the counter and employees just staring at people starve. Knowing texts aren’t working, not calling out the orders was just terrible in top of everything.

Ordered a single sandwich and two sides online and was given a 59 minute wait time. Showed up at the pickup time and it was very clear the sandwich had been sitting already made for at least 30 min and was soggy and the sides were room temperature as they had also been sitting out for some time.

Cute place so I was excited about trying it! Went on a Tuesday and it was very chaotic and not running well. I waited an hour for two sandwiches to-go and had to leave with only one sandwich and a receipt with a note from a kind employee in order to call the manager later in order to potentially get support? The employees were great and stressed as well, I’m not sure what was going on in the kitchen. On top of that the food was just mediocre. Update: the manager was very sweet and apologetic and took care of us.

Higher end fast food sandwiches with some unique flavors like the teriyaki chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, the service is terrible for people ordering and eating on premises. Once I placed my order, the wait was 30minutes. Might have been longer if I didn’t check in on it. They seem overwhelmed by online orders and the manager apologetically said they do not give priority to patrons who dine in. This seems contrary to comparable restaurants who pause online orders if they can’t keep up with serving the people in front of them. To the manager’s credit they gave me a refund.

Really bad experience with this place today ,was my first time there and most definetely my last, worst service in Walnut Creek and the food sucks, got sick with their food, throwing up and diaherrea all afternoon, stay away from this place.

Horrible service, be ready to wait over 40min from the time they tell you that order will be ready for pick up .

I’ve ordered salad and sandwich for myself and my wife. They brought salad and after 30 minutes they came and said: we are shredding the beef steak and it will be ready in 5 minutes! At the end, my wife was watching me eating my sandwich. :) Very bad experience for the first time visit I’m not recommending it

Mandatory tip on order, for curbside, yet they cannot be bothered to even do that expeditiously. Waited 15min for meal after arrival. So wasted $15 Missing both lemon cookies. Wasted $7 Potato salad so bland it litterally is just mouth texture. Couscous also bland, but a little better. Bahn mi, and both the beet and thai salads were good, I won't knock a decent product, but so much was over priced, under served and overall the experience was underwhelming.

Ordered multiple times since it opened and the quality goes down each time. They forget items, give you wrong items and have modified the items. Latest order included the not so fried chicken sandwich. Basically bread with almost nothing on it. Was one of the best things when they first opened. Won’t be ordering again.

We received the wrong order via DashDoor and they wouldn’t refund. This was clearly the mistake by the restaurant. The receipt on the left is our order attached to the bag and the recipe on the right is what we received, mango salad ordered by someone else. We got the wrong salad and never got our sandwich nor refund. Unacceptable.

They say 25-30 minutes and 55 minutes later you’re standing there with four others, all waiting for orders and the manager on her phone and one guy trying to do all the jobs. It’s awful.

AVOID Visited on a Sunday at 1 and the kitchen is completely scattered. 17 mobile orders show ready but not complete. In person orders exceeding 30 minutes waits for half sandwich salad combos. But worse, while in line for a refund, the employee expediting orders was opening all the sandwiches and fingering through them without changing gloves in between or when touching kitchen items. Disgusting. Cross contamination...allergy risks...just completely unaware. No management on site, woman with the clip board clearly not aware of how to handle the chaos and kept doing circles behind the counter. Food unrated...we never got it. No one did for 31 minutes. Will update if we ever return which isn't likely until the staff gets kitchen cleanliness training.

I arrived to pick up the food well before the expected time so I was ready to wait but I ended up waiting close to 30 minutes. I wasn’t given much of an explanation for the delay but my guess is that they forgot to make one of my items. Our sandwiches were very cold by the time I finally got them home. They did not taste good. One employee did apologize to me for the wait. That was nice of him, but missing the estimated time by 20 minutes is really bad, especially considering that the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. As you can see from the photos, the estimate was 6:14 and the other photo was taken at 6:29pm shortly after they told me the chicken tenders were not ready yet. I won’t be back. This was an embarrassing level of service.

Room was full of customers waiting for their food. One cashier taking orders probably could care less the length of line. 7 people working in the back making sandwiches couldn't keep up. I suggest ordering ahead online. No way you can swing by and get your food during your one hour lunch break.

Looked like 20 minutes into my wait they realized 1 single sandwich was still on the making. What was cute was them offering me a bag a chips for the wait.... sandwich was a total mess as you can see in the picture. Never coming to this place again. Save yourself the trouble or come in with 2 hours of spare time.

I then shared that I was not making up my symptoms and that this was the only thing I ate, and suggested they investigate each of the ingredients that go into this sandwich.
