The service here was outstanding. Music was on point. Even though they have counter order, they make you feel welcome. We ordered the Combination Platers. One with two Crispy Taco's with Rice & Beans and another order with One Crispy Shredded Beef & Enchiladas. The food was served pippin hot. Just one bite and you will fill the joy. The Cooks makes your food with much love. If you haven't tried them. you really need to take the time. This place is awesome.
I really enjoyed my dining experience here. The carne asada was delicious and the tacos great as well. The fish tacos were okay, because they were grilled they lack a diversity of texture in the bite and so I don't think they shine as much. The dining is pretty laid back and there a nice salsa and chips bar that is self serve which I appreciated. Good stopping point if out and about in Walnut Creek downtown for a few quick bites.
UPDATE: After some other visits, they fixed the problem and they deserve a better evaluation. They improved the service. The food is amazing, my family loves… OLD REVIEW: I requested a receipt and they refused to give me (just the proof of payment and allowed me to get a picture from cash register). I’m a corporate client (need to show invoice for expense report) and it was unacceptable. If you want to go there and need receipts, forget!
Taco Tuesday! Wow, the dynamite street tacos, chips and salsa, and horchata for 10.99. These days you can't beat that. And the tacos I got (two pork al pastor with pineapple salsa, one chicken) were a little greasy, but super tasty. They give you a number and I didn't have to wait long, maybe 5 minutes. Tacocat out!
Very solid Mexican place in Walnut Creek. I was expecting to pay the walnut creek premium prices but it has standard pricing for Mexican food which was nice. They have a salsa bar with 4-5 different options that were all very good. Tacos were incredible. Nachos are also unreal. Too good Their California burrito wasn't my cup of tea. They use chunks of potatoes instead of the classic French fries but it was still good. I will definitely come back here.
Had lunch here at peak, service was quick and easy; food is amazing. Spider tacos and Carne en su Jugo is the way to go. Also, there was a new shrimp taco that reminded me of Baja tacos back in Ensenada.
The only authentic, Mexican, Al Pastor Taco shop in Walnut Creek.Try the Jalisco Al Pastor tacos. They are delicious!...Even when my husband isn't hungry, he will eat one!....The house made salsas taste fresh and with just the right amount of heat to make you sweat with hot pepper happiness😍😋
Restaurant was clean, employees super sweet and food was very tasty. I only gave a 4.5 for service because you order at the counter , they do bring you your meal, and then you bus your table. I am all good with that.
I had the House Speciality called Carne En Su Jugo and it was delicious. I had the large size which is more than filling for lunch or dinner. The place is a little corner taco spot right across the street from Walnut Creek Honda.
I read a previous review that the shredded chicken taco was their favorite, so I tried that and the Jalisco Al Pastor. The shredded chicken was good, but the Al Pastor was Amazing!!

Great location and reasonable prices for a quick tasty nosh before catching a show at the Lesher. Crispy fried taco shells, some special plates that split well. A nice salsa bar. No frills with decor but friendly and with a local vibe.
I come here almost every week to pick up a few of my favorites. The al pastor, carne asada, and carnitas are all excellent — flavorful and consistent every time. Good service and friendly staff. One of the best local spots
Went in and had a shredded chicken burrito. Very tasty and huge. Also the have a chip bar with in house cooked chips with a variety of salsas. That right there is a $5 feature for free.
This place is so good. Now I don’t feel like I have to go to the mission to get authentic Mexican food. Its the real deal and everybody was very nice.

Nice Mexican restaurant in Walnut Creek. The restaurant opens at 10:00. I ordered at the cashier Chilaquiles Verdes, a plate that comes with rice, beans, crema on the plate with a green savory sauce mixed together with crispy tortilla chips and an over easy egg right on top, you can add meat for extra price if you like, the tortillas were in point, not soggy and you can feel the crunch on every bite. I’m glad I ordered Al pastor taco, a marinated pork in adobo with smoking, tender, sweet, crackling thinly slices overflowing two tortillas. The place has a help yourself salsa bar with fresh tortilla chips and several sauces to choose from. The prices are most affordable with a well kept area with seating outside.
Service was ok- nice, packed well. However, not sure if I would've gotten a better price on the tacos had I gotten something other than six. Didn't get any recommendations there. Food was not great. Overcooked hard bland carne asada, meh salsas. Strange eggs with a lot of sauce and peppers. Restaurant seems clean, but cold, industrial atmosphere.
Ordered a super shrimp burrito and a normal chicken burrito, and they turned out to be the same size! Good thing was the shrimp burrito was good so I'll recommend it. Called ahead and they were ready by the time I got there. They also have a chips and salsa bar which was convenient, and they give you lids at the counter for to-go orders. Overall will recommend. Good experience for my first trip there, prices are reasonable for Walnut Creek, and the cashier was friendly. **one thing I'm not a fan of is 3% surcharge for not paying cash...just raise prices and not hide in surcharges.
Tacos Walnut Creek, located on a corner of a strip mall for restaurants. Very interesting location. There is only toll.parking along the street. But if you go there on a Holiday (such as Presidents Day), there is NO parking toll. The staff is friendly. The food selection was plentiful. I chose the 4 tacos (California Style- guacamole), can only select 2 choices of meats. They have Menudo, and if I was up for it, would have got it. I have to say the dish was delicious, but will give a 4 stars.rating . They didn't honor Military/Veterans with a discount. No so.e Mexican restaurants and Taqueria's do honor Military with a discount. Hence they will receive the extra star.

Never again I spent $53 on 2 fajita plates and 3 street tacos. First of all my fajitas had an extra amount of bell peppers with a few onions and very little steak meat for $18.99 and the menu online said they were $14.99 but when I ordered it was $4 more for each plate. My husband said the carne asada tacos were very plain and it tasted like the workers don’t want to be there; my overall experience is mid 2.5 / 3 star and I won’t be back! And I tried to cancel my order about 3 minutes after I ordered but it was too late they were cooking my food already and I had to go pick it up! Never again Tacos Walnut Creek. Oh and I bit into a huge piece of fat eating my fajitas!! I had to come back the next day and edit my review. I thought the beans were very tasty and what steak meat I did find in the bell peppers was good as well. But they put an overwhelming amount of bell peppers! I added pictures of what was left after I picked any bits of meat out. For the price I don’t think it’s worth getting fajitas I do feel ripped off at $20 a plate.

I've eaten here multiple times and usually it's pretty decent. This time I asked for my carnitas extra crispy as I like crispy carnitas in my burrito and I asked twice to make sure the young girl at the counter understood. When I got my burrito the carnitas were of course not crispy and there was a large piece of gristle in the middle as well. Needless to say, this definitely brought down my evening and my positive thoughts about this place.

Our food was not tasty at all. We always had a good experience here but our recent dine experience was so disappointing. The chicken was fatty and they put no cheese in my quesadilla and put a tiny drizzle of sour cream on the top of it. The burrito we ordered had no flavor and no cheese. Maybe they ran out of cheese but I always thought a quesadilla had cheese in it???? I did get my food fast and the waitress was really nice which we left a tip because it wasn’t her fault. We also got over charged for our order which can happen sometimes when you’re in a rush. We aren’t sure what happened that day we came in but we hope they can get it fixed. Looks like they have a new service tax of 3.5 percent. Not sure what that is for. Hopefully it some of that goes to the waitress that we he had. She was great. I am ok with paying that as long it it used in a good way. Paid forward to staff.
