This restaurant is consistently good and we try to go there when we're in town. Dining partner is vegan and there are several options. She got a salad that was excellent with Brussels sprouts. I had the cauliflower steak which was really delicious (I'm not vegan/vegetarian). Can't wait to go back. There's always something good to choose from. They have a wonderful outside dining area. Feels like I'm on vacation when I'm there.

Delicious foods and good service. Many ingenious items on the menu at reasonable prices. Fun for both meat and veg lovers...a Flexitarian's delight! Try the boneless fried chicken in mac-cheese or the cauliflower steak (yes steak).

Our first time here, and Kenia provided such a wonderful experience. We truly believe her service took the food and experience over the top. Today we had the Burata avocado toast, the power breakfast and huevos rancheros , With a side of home fries. Everything was delicous, and flavors were very well balanced throughout the meal. Maybe we were extremely hungry but we came close to licking the plates clean today. Will definitely return and highly recommend as a great breakfast place.

Was served by Elizabeth who was informative and personable. The atmosphere is very nice for brunch and early lunch. The food was hot fresh and delicious. Crabcakes sliders and pickled fried chicken sandwich

This is my eldest daughter’s favorite place. Jimmy is a joy! We enjoy the food and the service. I highly recommend Silver. And the music is very nice too! ☺️

First of all, there’s not enough stars I could give this place because 5 stars is definitely not enough!! The food was amazing and the service was professional and courteous. Everyone there is so nice and the ambiance is definitely set for any occasion you can think of. I loved my time there clearly!! Will come again !!

Silver has a lovely, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The hostess Sophia and my waiter José were kind enough to let me complete some work on my laptop while enjoying my breakfast. I will definitely return again.

Great spot! The food and service is excellent and they have treated me well every time I have gone! Yenifer is great and treated me very well when I was there yesterday. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to town in DC looking for a place to eat.

Ate here for brunch and it was fabulous! The hosts Maeve and Brenna were so kind and helpful! Our server Dani was very knowledgeable and attentive! I loved the bison huevos rancheros! Will definitely be coming back again soon!

First time here and I was absolutely blown away! The best part was the service, our server. Jack did such a great job. He makes me want to come back every night!! He was so kind and answered every question I had about the menu! What a great face to have at Silver!! I will be back!

I had a wonderful experience with Jose the waiter.. he made sure everything was right. And you can forget about sofi at the front. The people were very nice and welcoming I’ll be back everyte my wife doesn’t cook

I had such an amazing experience at Silver Diner thanks to Daniela! From the moment she greeted us, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She checked on us at the perfect times, made sure we had everything we needed, and had such a positive attitude the whole time. You can tell she truly cares about her customers and goes above and beyond to give great service. The food was great, but honestly Daniela’s service made the entire visit even better. She’s the type of server that makes you want to come back. Silver Diner is lucky to have her!

This restaurant offers great value in good food and well/locally sourced food. Jennifer A., my server, treated me well and with respect, even when I had a small order - a side order of 3 eggs and some English Breakfast tea with honey. The order and my receiving it was timely, despite my sitting in the corner. She was accommodating to my sitting in a well light corner so I could finish a study project I was working on. It worked well as that specific area was not crowded and was able to stay until they closed. When I am in that restaurant, typically I enjoy my meal and leave without working on any projects. The restaurant is kept clean and well organized.

Andres was so helpful. He helped seat me in such kind and nicely manner. One of the most memorable times I remember was when he helped me with the menu as well and showed me his favorite dishes. What a nice guy. Food was great! Andres- amazing employee, amazing experience 10/10 would definitely come back

Silver is such a great diner loved by most DMV. The prices aren't cheap but not insanely expensive. It's pretty like a Gatsby vibe. They have a full bar that you can enjoy a cocktail. My recommendation are the French toast with drizzled caramel, salmon sliders, brownie, also don't forget the incredible milkshakes. Service is usually quick to seat you but sometimes sluggish with other things.

Great spot with an upscale diner vibe—comfortable but still polished. The food was solid and the service really stood out. Cristal, our server, was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without hovering. Sophia, the host/manager, was welcoming and clearly keeps things running smoothly. You can tell the team cares about the experience. Definitely a place we’ll come back to.

What a lovely experience. The food was of course amazing. I specifically loved my blueberry pancakes. The service was kind and professional and the vibes were fun for everyone. I stopped to Silver this morning for brunch. The hosts, Maeve and Ashley were very welcoming and showed me to my table. My server was Andres and he was also lovely. I ordered the French toast and eggs, which were delicious! I will definitely be back!

My Dad and I had the best experience at Silver in DC! Our bartender Diana had the BEST personality, took amazing care of us, and recommend some amazing appetizers and drinks. The happy hour specials are spot on, and they have plenty of options to fit every need, we’ll definitely be back! Thanks Diana!

Located 1/2 mile from the national cathedral, Silver is a great place to eat when in the neighborhood. As a regular for breakfast, Jenn, Sophia, and Elisabeth are always friendly and welcoming. The menu changes enough to be unique, but the overall good experience eating here keeps me coming back. Highly recommended.

Silver has become one of my favorite neighborhood spots! I stoped in today for breakfast and was greeted by the lovely Maeve and then was taken care of by Dani who was amazing. The food was delicious as always! I'm planning to take my family later this week when they're in town and I can't wait!

I have been greeted and always seated to my preference by Sophia and Pat. I have also been fortunate to always come on the days my favorite server that I request each time is working. Josea Douglas sets the standard and expectation of what service and hospitality should be! They definitely take who they are wherever they go.

My goodness. From the service to the ambiance to the food choices, this was an absolutely wonderful experience. Our group ordered both brunch as well as traditional lunch entrees. Both were just outstanding. The chorizo bison juevos rancheros was well prepared, fresh and well-seasoned. The French toast and fruit was well prepared and filling. And the Angus burger was filling without being overly heavy. Even the vegan milkshake was delicious! Finally, Ana, our server was so solicitous and kind as our family of five make our selections (and changed our minds a couple times). We were so pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back!

Even though the restaurant was super busy, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and made sure we felt taken care of. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A special shout-out to Andy, one of the managers, who closed us out and even offered us a free appetizer for our next visit, such a thoughtful gesture! We’ll definitely be coming back. I called in the restaurant to order over the phone, I was transferred to a very sweet gentleman that guided me and helped me choose what to order. This was my first time ordering from Silver and luckily I encountered a very patient and sweet young man. Will definitely be ordering from here again!! (The food was wonderful.)

Classic Diner experience with burgers and milkshakes, but also much fancier menu options like ricotta pankacakes and cocktails.

Pretty good food and decent variety. As someone who's gluten free and vegan, I didn't have a hard time getting something to eat. Only giving four stars though because the Silver Diner locations have better food, even better variety, better atmosphere, and are slightly less pricey.

I went here with my girlfriends on a Saturday night after a performance at the Cathedral. The place was not busy, it was practically empty. Me and one of my friends ordered the pan seared scallops and it was not good. The scallops tasted dirty? They were also overcooked, rubbery, and burnt. The veggies were also undercooked. My friend decided to just eat it even though she didn’t like it, I could not. I ended up getting the steak frites which was better, but still mediocre. My server was amazing though! I can’t remember his name but he was polite, attentive, and took care of us! Overall I’m not sure if I’d eat here again based on the food, but the service was good.

The coffee, latte was very well presented , waiter Will was very pleasant and knowledgeable of what’s available on the menu. Atmosphere very clean and the ambience decorated done right. However as we are waiting on our food ; notice two waiters eating off someone else plate to be served. This is unprofessional ! Keep an eye out when your food comes out.

I had higher hopes based on the reviews and looking at the menu, and we were pretty disappointed. The ciabotta with ricotta was really good, the lamb meatball with pappardelle was too spicy and the meatballs were unseasoned. I had the winter salad and added grilled chicken. The chicken was flavorless and dry and my salad was drowned in a strong dressing. Service was light, had to flag down for anything, no follow up for refills on water, additional drinks, dessert, etc. The place wasn't busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff floating around so I'm not sure why there were issues. My last note is... This is another restaurant where the server is holding the machine for you to pay and enter the tip while they wait. I usually tip at the higher end, but it makes me uncomfortable and more so when service was below par.

We have enjoyed going to Silver in the past. Two recent visits have left us disappointed. Yesterday (2/10/26) we showed up around 2:30 for a late lunch. The amazing hostess got us a table quickly (she had to clear it herself). But the rest of the experience was sub-par. Disengaged server, food took forever to arrive, and everything was either luke-warm (at best) or overcooked. My chicken sandwich was both over-cooked and cold. I looked around at our 3 meals and couldn't believe we would end up paying $70 + tip for this food. Sorry to see the quality drop so much at what had been one of our favorite restaurants.

Said to have gluten free options. I asked for everything GF because im Celiac, and they proceeded to shamelessly give me regular bread with a side of Gf bread, in the same plate??? Cross contamination is PRIME in this place, def NOT recommended for celiacs.

I recently visited Silver for lunch and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. I ordered the chicken and waffles, expecting a satisfying meal, but was instead served two small waffles and two small pieces of chicken for $21. To add insult to injury, I paid $7 for a soda, bringing my total to nearly $30 for what felt more like a snack than a meal. The portion sizes were ridiculously small, leaving not only me but my entire family hungry even after finishing our meals. For the price we paid, we expected much more in terms of quantity and quality. The value for money at Silver is simply not there. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a fulfilling and reasonably priced meal. Save your money and eat elsewhere.
