Awesome Staff this evening super social and kind. The atmosphere was very positive and the dining area was spotless when I arrived. The older Gentleman takes pride in cleaning the real way . Something hard to find . I'm Lovin It 💛 is a mantra they take pride in.
I use the McDonald's app and frequently order from the Watauga location on 377. I get curbside pickup and they have iced caramel macchiatos again! Lots of coupons in the app

I experienced a first at this McDonald's. I ordered 2 large fries, 2 apple pies, 3 chicken sandwiches and 3 drinks. Everything I ordered was correct and was the correct temperature and to complete the trifecta never have I been able to get a drink alone as fast as they got my order out. Awesome job.
Staff here is always friendly and helpful. Wait times have always been minimal, even when making special requests.

They had me at checkout before I could even get my money out. The checkout guy said "no problem, I still get paid happily waiting on you or helping someone else." So cool. Also that $5meal is a great deal.

Great employees here..very sweet ladies working the front. They remodeled the play place and its actually open. Perfect to take the kids during the day since its too hot to b outside. Fast, friendly , clean and considerate employees. We stayed for 2+ hours and staff was super helpful.
They were so busy we had to wait to order and wait for drink refills. The kids play place had a lot of children and the noise level was horrible. Kids screaming and yelling. I didn't know why parents see to it that kids do not scream and yell, these were older kids that should know better. They need to have their indoor play voices. We've been here before with a lot of kids and the noise wants this bad.

This McDonald's like all McDonald's in the area has a busy drive-thru. It moved quick and they got my order right. What else can I say? It's McDonald's!
Food is good and fresh. However home girl at the drive thru first window kinda dull and rude as if im the one who’s working at McDonald’s and doesn’t want to work there. Not my fault. Lighten up a bit on the attitude. Other then that thanks for the food.
One the few great ones left. Though sometimes busy, most of the building is its play zone. Which is just awesome for someone with a kid like myself. Many seats surrounding the area. Allow for a great view while you eat.
McDonald’s: the magical land where dreams are made of fries, burgers, and… disappointment over forgotten sauces. Seriously, it’s like Bigfoot has a better chance of handing me my Sweet & Sour than the drive-thru ever does. That said, I keep coming back because where else can you sip a perfectly balanced Coke, inhale some fries, and ponder life’s mysteries—like why the McFlurry machine is always down? The atmosphere is so comforting it might as well have kittens roaming around, purring by your feet as you enjoy your Big Mac. Even without my sauces, McDonald’s still feels like home. 4.9/5 stars—would be a perfect 5 if they could just get me my BBQ sauce without having to remind them that I ordered some.
This Mcdonalds is very nice. The play area is very clean. Our family has been there twice at night time and, the gentleman working that area maintains it very neat. They delivered the food to our table from the kiosk order very quickly. He had a really good time.
Not sure if someone took the day off and left them short staffed, but getting human service was extremely slow. The food tasted great but fish sandwich was served with an overflowing ridiculous amount of tartar sauce and the bottom bun was folded in half, so that was a mess in the car. Road trippers might want to plan for a longer wait time if they stop here.

The 3 stars are for the great coffee and because my simple order was correct. I have gone to this location for 17 years. The drive-thru workers during the week return my greeting and smile, are friendly and efficient. I always drive up smiling, say hello first. The young ladies this morning didn’t say one word except to take my money. They went out of their way NOT to be friendly, were openly hostile, glancing at me, whispering and laughing. Thank you for reminding me how it feels to be in high school again.
This location is off of very busy highway. The staff didn’t seem too thrilled to be working or having to deal with people. I ordered a six piece chicken nuggets got charged for a 10 piece when I tried to correct it the lady ignored me and told me to pull forward.
I set up my mobile order for table service, and instead of bringing me my food, they called my table number. I was wearing headphones and never heard them. Waited 20 mins before I asked them about it.

The two attendants Manning the 1st and 2nd window on the drive-thru should not be in customer service, perhaps at the very least actually get some training on how to be polite and respectful at the window and actually talk once in awhile and let the customer know that their order is being prepared and should be ready shortly.
I haven't been at a McDonald's in forever. Since the french fries thing that made the news. But i was craving a fish sandwich last night with a sweet tea. So I pulled to the drive through and yes I ordered just that! Sweet tea no ice and my fish sandwich. The guy who took my order very nice, the girl took my payment she was nice , but you could tell this was not the job for her. When i got my food. WOW !! There was a young girl long dark hair probably still in high school. She had a great personality. Very bubbly , very well mannered. I guess they saved the best for last. Slowly creeping your way to a BAM moment! Would I go back here to get a fish sandwich YES!! Who ever this young lady was at the drive through. Keep up the great works!! You are amazing!!
I mean it's McDonald's so the food is what it is and same for the atmosphere. But this location is the one closest to my house and the customer service is lacking at best. Since they opened the kiosks, everyone will literally ignore the front. The poor lady in the lobby tonight had a restless, crying kid and just wanted a refill. She waited for an unnecessarily long time. All the playground tables are always sticky and they were so rude to the gentleman I guess responsible for them. He was actively cleaning up a mess and instead of picking up a towel and helping, the chick snapped at him. Anyways this isn't a one off experience, it's literally every time I go.
Lady at first windows was rude and disrespectful and got my order incorrect. Servers at 2nd window made up for it otherwise would've gave 2 stars

Playground is the only perk, and the employees usually keep it clean, my kiddo likes this one best out of the other mcdonalds newrby. Food is McDonald's, nothing to report you dont know. If you need extra something good luck getting someone at the counter unless they're bringing out an order. There is a wall it seems purposely placed so they dont have to deal with customers, you order on a kiosk or the app, if you're cash pay, again, will be waiting until they're bringing an order out. Not their fault, just the owner not staffing them appropriately probably.
Food was food, it’s McDonald’s. Why I dubbed this particular McDonald’s 2 stars is because of the “safety” of the play place. My son flipped down those stairs head over feet, head over feet because of how high the risers are for the steps. A normal staircase’s risers are to be no more than 7 3/4 so what makes the manufacturer of these play places think toddlers can handle stairs that with risers of at least 10-12? I am just extremely happy he was not hurt bro badly.
First off this McDonalds was the slowest id ever experienced. Second, I had an issue with the app and the manager told me she had no ability to override the issue. I understand being busy, but not wanting to help in any way is what upset me, a paying customer. The rest of the staff was wonderful, and the food was great, but my experience with the manager is why my rating is so low.
First off guy taking order didn't get the complete order correct. The guy that gave us the food tells me yall don't have mayonnaise which whatever just like your ice cream machine but then I look and my fries thrown in upside down chicken nuggets falling out the box that was just thrown in there. Please do better or find a new job please 🙏 😫
This location consistently messes up my order. So much so that I’m planning on checking my food in the parking lot before driving off. Would love to remove my review if they can compensate the last 3 orders they’ve messed up.
This location has a nice play place. But they don’t have a drink station for the public or napkins and ketchup. So you have to go to the front to ask for refills, napkins and the ketchup they didn’t give you that you specifically ordered. They don’t man the front so it takes forever to even get these things. Very frustrating. They just need to add a drink station with napkins and ketchup like most other locations have.
The only thing I like about this location is the play area and the older gentleman that cleans it. When he is not scheduled you can tell. The rest of the staff is rude and doesn't care. I get that it's fast food but come on if you don't like working here then get a different job. I will say I've encountered maybe 2 other associates that do look like they care and actually acknowledge you. They are always out of something and they close early often. Oh and they almost refuse to use the register. You will never see anyone up at the front. I get most places are like that now but here it's almost like they hide. If it wasn't for the deliver to table option you would probably never see any of the staff. The only plus side to this location is the size of the play area when it's properly cleaned. It's funny they have a sign on the wall behind the register that says customers needing assistance please ask a crew member. Funny. You can wait up front and it will take forever for someone to come out unless they are bringing out an order. They should just make this location staffless seems like that's what they are going for.
Honestly I understand it’s a McDonald’s. But the staff ignored the entire lobby. Refused to speak to anybody the entire time I was there. Refused to take orders and required customers use the kiosk. which had no receipt paper.
The customer service is not there, you stand at the counter forever, they pretend to not see you till someone finally gives in and asks what you need, like they lost a bet.. They dont have a self serve drink machine so dont expect to get a refill on your drink anytime soon, and make sure you check all your food while standing at the counter cause heaven forbid you need ketchup after you walk away, you will be left standing at the counter waiting till your food gets cold before they acknowledge you again, like 1 interaction with them is all they can offer.

Didn't get the correct meal. Why even ask if I want any sauces if you are not going to put anything in the bag? How do you mess up ketchup? Do I really have to ask for napkins? Just put some in every bag.
At night they don’t like to answer the mic. We waited at least five minutes and didn’t get a response, had to to pull up to the second window where the worker pretended to not see our clearly visible car an walked to the back, we sat again an then came back around an got the same response but finally got some help. The faster you answer and get the food out the easier it goes, if you don’t want customers for whatever reason just finish the job or go home an get someone who wants to work.
Went there around 9pm there posted hours say the lobby is open until 11, yet the lobby was locked although there were people still inside two employees just looked at me and just walked away when I went to the door. I just gave up and went somewhere else because the drive through line was wrapped around the building and spilling into the street. What kind of place close it lobby at 9pm? At least update your hours.
I don't think I've ever had this location get an order right. Ordered a sausage egg McMuffin with bacon strips added (at an extra charge) and no cheese I then proceeded to get a bacon egg and cheese McMuffin with no sausage. Still got charged for adding bacon, but I never even got the main part of my sandwich.

Ordered the meal with 3 pancakes intending to feed a pancake to three kids. The top two pancakes were fine, but the bottom pancake was just 1/2 a pancake in two pieces. If the staff here are doing stuff like this because they think no one will notice then who knows what other corners they are cutting.
The evening employees are lazy. They turn everything off an hour early. They parked me because my cookies were gonna take a bit longer and they never brought them out to me.
This is the SLOWEST location. It's like they want you to see how much hustle they truly lack. And that's in the morning while tryin to get to work. And after the sun goes down, they will not turn on any outside lighting because they simply don't want the business.
Ordered 4c deluxe chicken. Meat, vegetables and more than desired mayo; were loosely placed inside the container so that when picked up that which was between the buns came out causing me to have to change my clothes. Very irritating!

Waited 15 minutes for curbside takeout, it was the middle of lunch rush I understand things get busy. My sandwich comes out wrong so I go inside and ask for a new one because the order is wrong. Without saying a word, the manager Belinda takes my sandwich, throws it in the trash, rings up another one and throws away the receipt. Says not a single word to me and walks away. So I stand there for 10 minutes waiting for another sandwich when I finally ask a worker why o wasn’t given a receipt so I don’t have an order number so I don’t know which bag is mine. She hands me my remade sandwich and I leave. Get all the way to my car AND ITS MADE WRONG AGAIN. The manager had a horrible attitude without even saying a word. Horrible service all around.
Went to get dinner in at 9:00 pm and the posted hours were closed at 10:00 pm. The person at the front said the drive in was only open and would not serve us. Even though there were people still in the dining room he would not take our order.
Ordered my food on the app, they forgot my 20 pc chk nugget and a kids meal, had to go inside, took over 15 minutes. Drinks melted, rest of the food got cold as I waited. Employees working here are very slow and extremely unorganized my order was given to the wrong table 2 times ! 2 times ! Then after all of that we received cold food. Very disappointing on how McDonald’s just hires anybody now a days Other than that the kids playground is very neat and clean
If I could give it zero stars I would. I only have trouble at this store on Denton Highway. Kids meal supposed to be Hello Kitty/ Yu-Gi-Oh. Grand daughter is upset when she open her box and found the Olympic poster and stickers inside. Been trying to call no one answers the phone. So my son called the Corp Office, it's sad they are aware of the problems here. Sometimes they mess up your order. Have to drive back. I need to charge them for my gas. Not going back to this one again. This is the final straw. 2👎

My son went to go pick up dinner for our family of 5 after a very long day. My son was gone for an hour and when I went up to McDonald’s to see what was taking so long, he told me they forgot majority of the order in the drive through and they made him go inside. By the time I got there, they were still making the food. They had no compassion or sense of urgency. I watched them laugh while looking over the receipt. I asked if I was going to be given a discount or a refund because of the wait and the girl working said she could give me back my money when I give back the cold fries and watered down drinks my son had in the car while he was waiting for the rest of the food to be made. I chose the refund (she still shorted me $4 but I was completely over it at this point). I called the number listed on the receipt to leave a complaint and was told I would hear back from someone within 48 hours. It has been a week. Not only terrible customer service inside that Mc Donald’s but apparently corporate doesn’t care either. This is the second time this location has given me issues. I also believe that because my teenage son was the one dealing with them earlier, they chose to take longer and not care.
They were really rude and it looked like the were vaping on the job and I will never come here again.
Drive all the way here on a Sunday at lunch with the grandkids just to find out they closed the play-land to clean it!! Do that at night or a school day morning not when people get out for lunch on a weekend!!!
The service was slow, the food wasn't fresh. The young lady at the window seemed to be in a rush and almost forgot some of our food. And to top it all off there was hair inside our cups, & I believe a cranberry was at the bottom of my cup. This place wasn't very sanitary while going through the drive thru!!

They are horrible when it comes to ordering food online. Twice I had Uber drivers tell me my order was stolen. The first time it happen they hung up on me. Uber gave me a refund. Tried to give them a second chance ordered from them again weeks later. Again my order was stolen. Never visiting or ordering online from them again. I rather drive to further if I'm in the mood for McDonald's than to deal with this place.
This is the millionth time that I make an order and something is missing that was payed for like y’all want to be payed a stupid wage but you can’t give people the food they order or you can’t get an order right and leave stuff out. On top of when you say something they don’t even make it right the workers treat you like you messed up or your wrong.

I've visited this McDonald's twice in two weeks and it almost seems like the quality of service is diminishing. Both visits I had items missing or made incorrectly. Both visits I had to return to get my order fixed, and Both times I returned, the employee helping me ensured the order was right when in fact, it wasn't.
I stopped by there this morning on my way to work I ordered a bacon egg and cheese McGriddle combo with a large coffee.. I didn’t check my bag because it was a simple order and I was in a hurry so when I made it to work I took a sip of the coffee and realized that they didn’t follow the instructions that I had given them AT ALL the coffee was literally BLACK with no add ons which I REQUESTED AND WAS CHARGED FOR(2 hazelnut shots) so as I made it upstairs to my job I opened my McGriddle to break half of the egg off(something that I do every time I order a McGriddle) I realized that their was NO BACON AT ALL on my McGriddle! The food and drink that I paid for was completely INEDIBLE and not to mention I’ve been at work starving ALL MORNING!
Had an issue with delivery called several times to resolve issue and got no answer. Has to cancel my order and still lose money on cancel fee.
I come here every morning at 5 am and I have to wait for them to open. I ask the lady at the window said they open at 5 am . Here it is 5:17 am and they are still not open, they open when they want to open . They know if the lights not on ppl won't show up or think they are close but they are supposed to be open at 5 am . Their is a man in a red truck that drives and sit in the drive thru line and wait for them to open every day . If you say you open at 5 am then OPEN AT 5 AM. Here it is 5:19 am and they just turned their lights on sorry the picture shows their lights on but they were not before I took the picture. As you can see in the picture the red truck he is always the first one here and waits patiently for them to open. Fix this
I visited this location in the afternoon, and it was quite busy when I arrived. I quickly noticed customers already expressing dissatisfaction, and I soon understood why. When my order was ready, I realized my Happy Meal was missing. I returned to the counter to inform the staff, and the employee, a Jamaican gentleman, gave me a dismissive look as if I were at fault. When I explained that my Happy Meal was missing, he responded rudely with, "What do you mean?" without acknowledging the mistake. He then turned around and instructed another employee to retrieve the missing item without offering an apology. As we were leaving, my son requested a refill, which took longer than expected. When the refill was finally brought out, it was placed abruptly on the counter without any courtesy, and my son had to reach across someone else's order to grab it. The overall experience left a lot to be desired, and it was disappointing to witness such a lack of professionalism. If employees are dissatisfied with their work, it might be best to consider alternative options.
Service was great, food was good and inexpensive, typical of McDonald's; no complaints in those departments. However, I'm very disappointed in what they did with the play place. This used to be my favorite McDonald's to take my kids to because it had a whole train theme in the play place area and the actual play place itself was really big (as I recall it had 4 slides). Then today I come in after not coming here for a while, and all the train stuff has been replaced with basic McDonald's decor and the actual climbing around area is much smaller (only 1.5 slides). I don't even care that my kids can't play on it today because it's closed, I get that it's a COVID thing, I'm just wondering who made the decision to remove all the really cool aspects of this area in favor of bland nothingness. Wish I could give the McDonald's corporation 0 stars.
I order from this McDonalds from time to time on UberEats. Every single time, I have an issue with my order. One time, I ordered 1 iced coffee and 1 hot chocolate — got 2 iced coffees and NO hot chocolate. Contacted the store and they said their hot drink machine was off...okay then CALL AND TELL ME THAT. Another time I ordered 3 apple pies...received NONE. Fries are always cold and stale. This time I actually got my hot chocolate, but it’s half-full! They are quick and a good option for late-night hunger strikes, but come on!
I’ve gone there twice and both times they messed up my first two orders. The first order I called the phone number on the ticket. No one picks up. It’s a Google phone number. I emailed them sent him a picture and they sent me a card to pay for my meal which didn’t accumulate to the value of what it was worth. The second time once again was breakfast. I called the number obviously no one picks up. Then I sent the email. No one responded. This one is by far the worst McDonald’s service ever.

Kiosks would not take payment, noone at the counter to take payment. Lady came out from the back finally to take payment. Sat down to wait for order, another guest came in and ask for help, lady to her to wait because she was busy. This place lost all the appeal of past McDonald's experience. No problem, plenty of options down the street.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a McDonald’s. I waited in the drive-thru for an unusually long time, despite there being no other cars in line. I had to honk multiple times before anyone responded, and when they finally did, I was told they had “run out.” The lack of communication and professionalism was unacceptable. This location needs serious improvement in customer service.
Was super excited for the adult Happy Meal got the chicken nuggets and I guess you have to ask specifically for the pickle seasoning because I didn't get it and they rolled their eyes when I had to go back in and turn around and go back to the store and get the seasoning i thought that was real mature second I start to eat it when I get home and it is not lukewarm cold the fries were terrible you know how McDonald's fries get when they're not brand new and the chicken nuggets tasted like soapy cardboard almost it was the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had specifically from this McDonald's I've never really had too much of a complaint about McDonald's before yesterday
The worst McDonald’s in the area. My orders are usually always wrong, they are very short handed, rude and do not care about your order! They don’t get paid enough to care or pay attention to detail. Save your time and money and go to a different one.
I work next to this location so I go here multiple times daily for drinks and snacks while I work. Well today I got a large lemonade with my lunch, it came in a large cup as you'd expect. Right? That's what I thought as well. A little while later I found myself thirsty again so I ordered another Large lemonade, when I got there to pick it up they had placed out a medium cup of lemonade. No big deal they've messed up before so I pointed it out to the lady working at the order station. To which I was told that is the correct size. I don't know if it's changed since 2 this afternoon but 3.66$ for a drink that is a small anywhere else is ridiculous. Maybe, just maybe providing drink size info in the app other than just a arbitrary lg/med/sm would clear alot of confusion. Looks like I'll be able to start saving money though as McDonald's has become a rip off. And please spare me the link to your convoluted customer support site that is copy and pasted on every negative review
Brace yourself!! This is nasty!! This is the McDonalds on Hwy 377 at Hightower in Watauga.- I was standing at the counter waiting for my order. A young lady brings my order out. The bag was opened and I could freely see the contents and told her that it wasn’t my order. Another customer walks up and took the bag, as it was her order. 2 minutes later, the other customer brings the bag back to the counter and states- I didn’t order a steak and egg bagel (but my wife did). The “Shift Manager”, as it was printed on her safety vest, take the bag in the back area, in full view of me, she (shift manager) takes on item out of the other customers bag and I to another, with a few more items and brings it to me. I said- No, I need a refund! The manager asks why? I saw the entire event unfold, and you took a previously opened sandwich from another customer and put it inside my bag. The “manager” says, you’re right and I’m sorry about that, but I was gonna switch it out. I said- No you weren’t, you just tried to give me the opened sandwich. So give me a refund and a phone number to the regional manager/owner, which she did both. But for good measure, I should probably inform the county health department about this specific McDonald’s business practices..
So on Christmas eve I visited this McDonald's ordered 8 hot coffee's and 3 cold ice coffee's . Because of holiday it was pretty busy at the drive thru. Waited about close to 20 minutes or so for that and went home after receiving my order. After arriving to house I started passing coffee's to my family members and very first family member I handed the coffee to opened the lid to add sugar and creamer my family member said is this a joke? I was confused and asked what happened? He replied and showed me cup it had just water in it. First I was confused and surprised. I said and ok started to check the rest of coffee's , sure enough the second cup had water in it also. Opened the other 6 but the rest had actual coffee in it. That made so angry and upset that I had to go back and let my frustration out. Manager comes looks at it and only words that came out of her mouth was I'm so sorry for that and walked away. Didn't say another word or offered me the coffee that I ordered and paid for. This young girl working in back heard of my situation came to front apologized to me and offered to make 2 more coffee's while the sneaky little manager name Allison kept looking from far and pretended to be like I'm not even their or her concern at all but kept looking at me. If you people are not happy with your job then go sit at the house or look for a job that suits your personality. Since when did it became ok or legal for McDonald's employees to rob customers out of their money by giving us water instead of a actual laggit coffee? I could have saved time and gotten way cheaper water at house. Shame on employees and McDonald's corporation for defrauding customer and getting rich this way. You waste time and money and gas just to get some hot water. Done me wrong that day but let me tell you on judgement day you won't be wronging the man above seven Haven's and will have to answer and pay that day. If I call you theif please don't be upset . You all deserve this
Came in placed my order for a combo meal. Another customer comes in 5 mins later and still gets his food first. When I tried to ask an employee where my food was i was completely ignored. I will not be going back to this oe
Manager neede to retrain afternoon staff. Terrible attitudes when taking customers orders. Find another job if you can't effectively communicate with others... Drove over to the McDonald's off the highway and rufe snow. They were 10 times busier but the staff was well trained and nice, even with being swamoer with customers
