Friendly staff, good food, quick service. Highly recommend
Fantastic experience here after a long day. It's not 5 star dining so we didn't go into it with that expectation but we were very happy with the quality and portions of our food. It wasn't too busy, the server did her job perfectly, and it was relatively clean. We weren't the biggest fan of paying in the gift shop/general store but understand that its just a quirk and didn't impact our experience.
The waitress took a while to serve us, so we ordered with another very friendly waiter. I found the prices a bit high; the food here is very good and there's a lot of variety.
It's a great place to go. We love Cracker Barrel, and this is a really good one! The staff are so friendly and welcoming! This is the closest Cracker Barrel to us when we cross the border, and it's a great one!
We go out of our way to eat at any Cracker Barrel. This location is very good. Our server John, was a real pro. Laid back but attentive. Perfect. Thank you
Our Server Kelly was great there was two of us today. Coffee refill and fresh food. Thank you to the cooking staff! When I went to pay Joseph helped me at the register. All was perfect!
We have been stopping in at the Watertown NY Cracker Barrel for literally 30 years. It is the best of the brand. We have eaten in Cracker Barrel from NY to Georgia. Most are great. But Watertown is special. Everyone is friendly and happy. The kitchen is very efficient which helps those of us stopping for breakfast with a full day driving ahead. Food is well prepared. This morning we were in and out in less than an hour. Service was great. Pay at the table on my phone is a big time saver! It has been consistently the best experience for 30+ years.
Our lady's church group likes to go to Cracker Barrel to celebrate birthdays. We always ask for Liz as she is so friendly and competent as a server. The prices are good, the atmosphere is great and we love having the choice of breakfast or lunch. There is so much to choose from. Shopping in the store afterwards is always a plus!
Love Cracker Barrel, always have! Delicious food and love to browse the shop. Great to see the new healthier options as well!
Had a very nice time at Watertown Cracker Barrel. Got seated right away and served warm biscuits after we ordered. Our food we ordered was delicious and our waitress Victoria was very friendly and prompt.
Always a great pleasure to eat here with family and friends. Plenty of room for large parties or small family gatherings. The food and quality always makes this restaurant worth a visit during the week or weekends. Thanks for the delicious food and coffee. We can’t wait to visit again soon. Amazing and professional staff.
Love the food, and SHOPPING I always find amazing things!!
What is there left to say. Food good! Atmosphere Great! Front store has soooo many cool items to buy for friends/families. Love all locations. Been to so many in the US.
It was my first time at a Cracker Barrel, I had fried chicken, meatloaf, broccoli and steak fries. Meatloaf was ok, but the rest was amazing. We had Vega as our waitress. She was amazing! Smiles, happy to help, and skipped away with our dessert order only to come back with more smiles and our order. She was the best part of our experience. She was what made the atmosphere. If you get her, you should feel lucky!
Got here and had a very short wait to be seated. There were 7 of us so we thought we may have to wait a bit. The service was fast and friendly. The food was pretty good, and the portions were pretty good as well. Our server was very nice, and she made sure we had everything we needed, and she checked back often. Overall, a good place to visit!
The food was great and even better for that price. The waiting staff were friendly yet professional. An all around great experience. Highly recommended.
I've always had a great experience at this Cracker Barrel. The staff is always friendly. Our server, Caitlyn was great! She answered all of our questions. She was quick with refilling our drinks and checked on us multiple times during our dinner, getting anything that we needed!
Hello there I absolutely love this restaurant, but only get to enjoy it maybe once a year due to my travel distance and time from work to make it. I really hope a cracker barrel would come to Potsdam Ny
It was a very pleasant experience. The food was very good and the prices are very affordable. I love the gift shop or store. They have some real nice things. 😋😋😋
We like this location as it's conveniently located just off I-81 at the Coffeen Street exit. Today's special was Cracker Barrel's newest menu entrée, "Cheesy Bacon Homestyle Fried Chicken Breast," and mine was excellent, served with my choice of sides: hashbrown casserole, green beans, and corn muffins. My bride selected the baked haddock with steak fries, fried apples, and corn muffins. She said her haddock was a little dry, and the steak fries were not as crispy as she likes (and requested), but otherwise tasted good. The new "watermelon tea" she pronounced "different, but good," while my Coke was "Coke" (I prefer Pepsi products). Our server "Kelly" was on her "A" game, and the cashier "Noah" did a fine job ringing us up and taking off the $25 gift card we used. All in all, we give today's experience 4.5 stars. Bon Appétit, y'all!
Cracker barrel in watertown, the food is always great. I enjoy the French toast, the fried chicken, and the dumplings. The service is amazing, it's always quick, and the food is always fresh. It's right off the highway and there's plenty of parking. It has become one of my go to places. Definitely will continue to come here. I love that they serve breakfast all day.
I had excellent service from my waitress Sara - she was so friendly with a beautiful smile when she greeted me. She took my order accurately and delivered my food to me hot and quickly. She was an absolute extraordinary waitress and made my day for me.
Had a late dinner (8:30 PM) on a Friday night sand a great meal, extremely courteous and attentive service (kudos to Jason), and reasonable prices…we were seated immediately, restaurant was not busy for a the beginning of the weekend. Ordered meatloaf (our favorite meal here) with cole slaw (fresh and tasty, maybe a little heavy on mayo) and hash browns. Our other meal was a grilled chicken salad (all very crisp, fresh vegetables and perfectly-grilled protein), of course corn bread and freshly baked rolls (outstanding). This was a very pleasant meal at an iconic chain… well done!
Service was amazing, food was just as good!! Thisbwas my first time here and I definitely plan on coming back. Their prices and quality are top notch, and the southern style really shows through. Cant find anything bad to say honestly, it was worth every minute. Came down for my girlfriend's mother's birthday and we all had a great time, and felt full after. 10/10 would recommend
Very good experience as usual. The staff at this location were fantastic. The value for the money was great as well. Had the steak breakfast and the steak was super tender and great portion. Both of us that took steak had it cooked EXACTLY as requested! Chef was spot on! The garlic rub is delicious and the steak is delicious on its own. Wish we knew waitress’ name but she didn’t have a name tag. She was super friendly and offered great service.
Absolutely love this place. It was our first visit and it was so good, we went back the next day! Great food and prices. Not your typical restaurant food, which was awesome. So sick of the same ol’ foods elsewhere. Can’t wait to go back! Well worth the 2 hr drive from Canada to get there. A+++
One of my besties is a big fan of the experience of Cracker Barrel and I have been looking forward to see their joy in the establishment for years. And boy does Cracker Barrel not disappoint. The vibes are impeccable and the fact that the chain is part gift shop part restaurant is peak Americana which is reflected in the menu. It was lovely to try classic American food and the waitress that served us was so sweet. She immediately recognized my Canadian accent which was a surprise as I didn’t think I had one but she made me feel welcome which is true American-Canadian solidarity. I of course paired the meal itself with ginger ale but also had the pleasure of buying some bottles ginger ale and have a little taste test of my favourite beverage. Wowowow am I a Cracker Barrel fan now
Very good, All American restaurant with great breakfast, just like home cooking. I go there every year on my trip to the Syracuse nationals. It's a great place to get full, Very reasonable Priced Food in service is always excellent. Check it out, you won't be disappointed, and don't forget to try the chicken and waffles.
Cracker Barrel, Watertown was a great place to spend time with family visiting from the islands AND enjoy a "small" birthday celebration 🎂 🎈 Our visiting family enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and let's not forget the instore shopping. There are plenty of things to look at, and some fun ideas & deals for gift giving 😊 to take home. [Thanks, Dillon, for making our day with family special!]
We were there over the weekend on a shopping trip from Canada. Our food was taking a little long and without complaining the manager came out with our waitress and apologized and told us our meals and drinks were going to be covered for the inconvenience!! We were shocked, but very grateful and impressed with the exceptional service. We will definitely return in the future! Thank you Cracker Barrel and staff!
The food as always is very good and satisfying. We had the hashbrown covered shepherd's pie (it was more of a pot roast with veggies covered with the hashbrown) and the broccoli-cheese-chicken with corn & mashed. I just wish they would bring back their selection of meal sized salads / non-fried selections.
It was moderately busy for a Wednesday. The staff was friendly from the host to the young lady that we paid our bill with. Our server Belinda was a very nice and charming woman. She made small talk, was efficient and made us feel welcome. The food was delivered promptly, piping hot, looked appealing, and tasted delicious. The Biscuits and gravy were perfect and My daughter enjoyed her pancakes, eggs and apples. Very charming gift shop, will definitely be back!
Was very good fried chicken the best I've had in a long time. They serve loaded, mashed potatoes and boy was at loaded and so tasty. I also had breakfast there. They have good food.

Food is really good. clean store. Service is fast and good. Very friendly staff. Food comes out fast

Our waitress was nice, the food was a bit long in coming and my food was a bit cold on the inside. Good portion. I didn't like that we had to go to the store to pay our cheque. So busy and confusing, there was an issue with the coupon for the cake, so many people trying to help but it took forever. The cake was mediocre at best, not really worth the fuss.
I love the chicken and dumplins. I hate that they sit you on top of others. I like some space instead of bumping chairs with the people. There was plenty of room. When checking out I told the girl I had a coupon and she said put in my phone number. I did I said do you need to see my phone for the coupon she said I needed that before hand. I didn't say anything. I told her I had it. Everything else was good.
The kitchen and wait staff were excellent. We enjoyed the Sunday special chicken pot pie and our server was excellent with ensuring that we had what we needed. I had one small complaint about the stop, and that was at the checkout. There was a long line and only one person working the cash. This staff member did not appear to be aware of how the peg points worked. Someone in line was buying candy at checkout in an attempt to attain the dollar mark, to earn a peg. The young man on Cash did not understand that peg points are based on the total before tax.
Good food. Good prices. Super friendly and helpful servers and staff.
Arrived after they closed and departed before they opened, but I was here because the Cracker Barrel tolerates the RV lifestyle by allowing us to park overnight in their lots. And in return, they'd like us to please buy a meal. That wasn't an option today but I'll get them next time. Clean, mostly quiet and level. I had a good night and will eat breakfast soon. Pretty good for "free."
It’s been a while since we visited a Cracker Barrel’s. We got to our hotel late and they were still open, close at 9pm. We got there at 8pm, our server was very pleasant and ready to assist, place was not too packed and the food turned out fast. Our appetizers came out after 10’ mins piping hot and fried crispy and golden brown. Our meals were a short 20’mins later. Everything tasted perfectly, we were so hungry I forgot to take photos of our meals. The Sunday Fried chicken was moist and delicious. My grilled chicken was also cooked soft and fork tender. My son liked their mac and cheese. The fried pickles were too salty for me. Overall a good experience.
Bringing back old memories! It’s been a number of years since I’ve visited a Cracker Barrel. It was a must stop in Watertown before heading back across the boarder. Nothing has changed… except that they took off my old fav dish of Blackened Catfish. The food was just as good as I remember and I was definitely satisfied with the taste and portion of the Meat Loaf Dinner with 2 sides. I love their Mac & Cheese! My partner enjoyed the Peach Cobbler as she wasn’t as hungry. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. In 2022, you can’t beat the value of a Cracker Barrel meal! I’m already looking forward to the next visit.
Cracker Barrel fans will be very familiar with this place. New to me was the addition of alcoholic beverages to the menu! Maybe could you offer some calorie careful menu options too? The store is always fun for candy stock ups... though I wish you had more local area crafts and options (ie Herkimer) Great day trip option!!

It's a chain; so you don't expect to much but let me say the staff is friendly the food is decent and prices are fair. Great for kids family and now they have alcohol even better.
We always go to Cracker Barrel when we’re in Watertown. Last night was a disaster. Took a while for the server to come over, she was a little busy, so that’s wasn’t a problem. After we ordered and …
We ordered the chicken pot pie and the bacon maple chicken meals. Quantities so big we had enough for next day lunch. Good service (John) Great value. Delicious food.
I’m from Canada and this was the first time to Cracker Barrel. I had fried chicken. Pretty darn tasty. I am hoping to go back for another selection

Wasn't the best experience unfortunately. Host was rude, cold potatoes, only half of us got silverware even after asking 3xs, most food was delicious and our server was ok, just kinda meh.
We were told 5-10 minutes for our table of 6. It was over 30 minutes and many other groups were seated before us. We followed up with the hostess, multiple times. Where she would say another 5 minutes. When we did get to our table, there were several tables in the dining room that had not been cleaned. They were like that the entire time during our meal. Very unpleasant to look at.
If you have no dietary restrictions, then you will enjoy this place. If you do, it's best to avoid it. I have Celiac Disease and cannot have gluten. Nothing on their menu was labeled as gluten free and when I asked if they had GF menu options, I was given a laminated book of excel spreadsheets that listed all menu items and which allergens they contained. That is fine for someone in the back office, but as a paying customer, I expected better. I quickly became frustrated so I simply asked for a bowl of oatmeal. However, they don't offer oatmeal. This is a serious miss on their part. Breakfast is a large part of their business but they don't offer oatmeal? Seriously? After a bit I finally figured out what to get. Cross contamination isn't a huge deal for me, so I was OK with what I got. But if that matters to you, you need to avoid Cracker Barrel. Given my experience and my GF requirement, I will avoid Cracker Barrel in the future. Side note: Our server was great. I was showing my frustrations and he never showed any frustrations of his in return. He was professional and I appreciated that. This review addresses the Cracker Barrel franchise as a whole and not the wait staff at this particular restaurant.
Cold coffee, out of alot of food. The waitress took the coffee and never came back to say anything. It was near closing time, but know sorry we are out and won't be making anymore coffee. Just a curiosity to the customer!!
Heading back from Maryland to our Ontario home after visiting family. Always like to stop if possible at a Cracker Barrel for a later meal before entering Canada. Was going to stop at the Cicero, NY location, our favorite, but decided to keep going to this Watertown NY location. Got there are 7:45pm and headed into the Dining area. It was pretty empty and so seated right away. Our Server Jayden B. came over and see very uninspired. We both ordered the Homestyle 4 piece Fried Chicken, my favorite. She came back shortly to tell us that they ran out and had a smirk on her face. I thought we was playing a joke on us. Very disappointed we ordered instead the Signature Fried Chicken and Crispy Tender Dippers. We.asked to bring some of the biscuits and corn muffins before the meal. She came back with the Dinners and had forgotten about the biscuits and muffins, again with a smirk on her face. When she came at the end with the Bill, My wife realized that she hadn’t taken off our original ask, and instead had 4 meals on it totaling over $60. We told her the error and she said “oh I meant to take that off earlier”. Sorry but we felt she intentionally left it on, hoping we would catch the mistake. Replaced meals were just OK, and experience was ruined by our Server. Left very disappointed which is not normal for us leaving Cracker Barrel.
I feel like this location is about as decent as any. The gift shop is fun, bathrooms were reasonably clean, but the food was a just okay. Our online order was definitely sitting around for a while and it took a while for them to grab it from the back. But it was a nostalgic meal with sizable portions.
Used to be my favorite place to go but quality has not been what it used to be. My most recent visit left me still hungry when I left. Ordered the eggs Benny with extra hollandaise sauce and my meal came to me cold and the sauce was salty and cold. I did scrambled eggs instead of over easy. The hash brown casserole was warm but not as tasteful. My breakfast partner ordered egg sandwich no tomato and it came with tomato. Not a big deal unless allergic to them. Her casserole was warm. The server seemed a bit distracted. Big disappointment at what used to be one of my favorite places to go. Food here is now hit or miss. The past few times have been a huge miss. Short staffing possibly?
Honestly just your average Cracker Barrel, nothing special about this location. Didn't serve any white fish, so both their special with the haddock and their catfish menu item were unavailable. The food was okay, the service was okay, and overall just a place to grab dinner if you were craving anything on the Cracker Barrel menu. With Red Robin around the corner, I probably won't be coming back. Portion sizes and prices were pretty decent.
Bland food, bland music, but the wait staff and everyone else who worked there were amazing. Very friendly, patient and helpful.
We enjoyed our food. The staff was very friendly and did a great job but the place is way under staffed in the food area. It’s Friday night the place is half packed and it takes 15 mins for the waitress (not her fault) to get to you to place your order and of bring a drink. The meal came pretty fast but I finished it and was waiting for our bill before I could ever get a refill on our drinks.
I have to say in all the years I have been going to Cracker Barrel, this time around it was the worst meal I have had there. Katlyn our server was wonderful. The food was second rate, if that. The fried chicken was dry and looked like it had been fried in weeks old oil. The hash brown casserole was dry when generally creamy. The steak bites were tough and I could barely chew them. The whole meal looked and tasted like it was left over from lunch. Cracker Barrel you need to get better in the kitchen.
I was in a tour group of about 35 folks and although this restaurant didn't take reservations, they were aware we were coming. The seated us in groups of 4 rather quickly amd the service was relatively fast considering they were busy even without us coming through. I've never really been a fan of Cracker Barrel, although some folks I know love this chain. I went with something quick and easy, the Southern Fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes amd Cole slaw. I the meal comes with 1 each breast, thigh, wing and drum stick. I prefer dark meat so I asked if they could sub dark meat for the white pieces but they aren't allowed to do that. The skin on the chicken was a bit hard for me and the chicken itself wasn't as juicy as I'd hoped it would be. Once again, I will state that the service was excellent, I just don't personally care for the food at this restaurant.
Our wait staff, looked like she wasn't happy, but I wouldn't come down on her, but rhe 3 of had lunch, so she could have asked if it was all together or separate, but she did. We also was not notified on what could be added to our combos, and 1 thing did not get added, so that's the reason for such a med score. We're from Canada, so yeah.
I’ve been to this location multiple times. Generally the service is slow but manageable. But on my last visit the service was incredibly slow and it wasn’t even busy. My eggs were overcooked, sausage was undercooked and the meal just generally pretty meh. The bacon was cooked well and crispy as I requested. The store part had all kinds of no knacks for Memorial Day and summer. It isn’t my kind of stuff but they had a large selection which I’m sure would appeal to a lot of people. Overall it was a pretty forgettable experience.
Service left a lot to be desired. I didn't feel welcomed, and it took an abnormal amount of time for someone to see me after being seated. They also ran out of corn bread by 1pm on a Tuesday -- that doesn't sound right. Nevertheless, the fried chicken is tastier than any other fried chicken joint and arrived quick after ordering.
I have always liked Cracker Barrel. "Home cooking" but without all the work. I stopped for lunch on Tuesday in Watertown NY ...ordered chicken and dumplings. Absolutely TERRIBLE! Gummy, thick, unco…

I find it totally ludicrous that as a senior citizen I have to show photo ID in order to prove my age of majority in order to get a glass of wine.
The back kitchen staff was backed up and in a upheaval and the waiter let me know that . When I was ordering I kept being told they are out of that. Then when I asked for corn bread I was explained that you buy a cheaper egg for the corn bread and due to the bird flu they were not making them. I ordered pancakes ,eggs with a piece of cheese and hashbrown casserole . The bottom of my pancakes which they purposely put flipped upside down were burnt. My food was barely warm and I waited 45 minutes . Then to pay 18.00 dollars plus a tip ! I was very dissatisfied to say the least!
So I am not sure what happened in the Kitchen, or why you would bring this to someone. This is what we got today at Cracker Barrel, and no we did not order burnt toast or extra crispy.....The hash-brown casserole was over cooked as well, the chicken fried chicken was rubbery. We as a family were not impressed by this mornings breakfast
I’ve been going to Cracker Barrel for years and the food has always been pretty good but tonight the biscuits are small, hard and dry.why can’t y’all make them like you did a few years ago?? The brown gravy is pretty bad, bring back the really good brown gravy please.this restaurant was way too cold,my food got cold within a few minutes which wasn’t that hot to begin with! The new berry drink tasted pretty watered down too me.so this visit was not worth what it cost me!
Canadians here. Thought we would stop for some brunch. We look forward to eating out at restaurants, we're foodies and this is a simple breakfast spot, but dang, it disappoints. We had to wait for a table 20+ mins, ok that's fine but my God what a nightmare that is waiting in that store! 😆 You can't shop because there are people standing everywhere waiting for tables too. So weird. Our server was friendly but I don't think she was trained properly? She took our drink order but then we didn't get our drinks for quite some time, nor did we get a basket of biscuits and man I was looking forward to those! Then the people seated well after us had their food order before us...and it was alot of food. We finally got ours after a 45 min wait! I ordered the apple crumble French toast, husband ordered a hamburger with fries, and my daughter ordered Mac n cheese. Not too crazy right! 45 mins 🙄 we also noticed how the food had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time because the server was no where to be found. The lettuce on the burger was wilted and warm and the crumble on my French toast was ROCK hard, literally thought I broke a tooth! 😬 Told the server (when we saw her again) and she said yeah it's always hard because it's made beforehand. And that she would tell the chef. Ok thennnn. Cool, thanks. Waited and waited for our bill to pay for our- mediocre at best- food. I asked the server if they had to go cups for coffee. She went and grabbed me one, put it in front of me empty and said here you go....ummm lady, I don't have any coffee.. haha I was speechless. Then she finally clued in and was like "oh, did you want a fresh cup of coffee?" Well yeah, considering mine has been gone for 35 mins while weve been waiting. 😆 It was crazy service. She might need a tad more training, just saying. Then paying was an absolute nightmare, having to go back out into the store part, lining up to pay while you have people trying to pay for their goods and shop. It's just a weird set up. Not for us! We won't be back to a cracker barrel for brunch.
The wait once we were seated was extremely long. It took a little longer to place our order (approx. 10 min after seating but still sort of acceptable). It happens and we understand. We place our order and continue waiting for our food for 45/50 min. What made us give only the 2 stars for service was our waitress was no where to be found after taking our order and bringing our drinks. Our drinks were empty and we were not able to ask for refill nor were we offered refills while waiting for our food. Just not good service. The food finally arrives and it was just sad. My daughter’s fried chicken was severely burned.. like dark chocolate burned. The table next to us had also fried chicken but their chicken was golden crispy. My husband’s country fried steak was severely undercooked and blue in the center. After we addressed it with the waitress, she tried to explain that the country fried steak is not raw but well seasoned with Ketchup. At that moment we ask for the manager. The manager took both meals off our check, even though we offered d pay for the fried chicken. We only asked the country fried steak to me removed from our bill. The manager did well and tried very hart to please us. Not the best food or service, matter of fact the worst amongst all Cracker Barrel’s we’ be been to.
This was one of the only places open tonight for Thanksgiving, which made the choice to visit obvious and we were excited that some place was open. We like Cracker Barrel but don't usually go to this one, because we're normally near Syracuse. We got seated fairly quickly and were treated nicely, but our food took a while and when we got it, it was really low quality. I got steak, fries and Mac n cheese. My husband rarely eats fried food due to a health diet but made today a cheat day, and they had a limited menu. All my food was cool like it sat out. I've never tried their steak before and I didn't want gravy on it due to the kind of gravy, but that choice left it really dry. My husband said his food was cold, too, and he didn't even eat all his, because it was making him feel sick. Due to it being a date night neither of us really commented or complained in the moment, we were trying to keep the mood up. But, on the way home we started talking about it and really wished we had said something. We felt like we wasted our money 😞 I'm disappointed, I really like Cracker Barrel and never had a bad experience, before. My husband likes their menu, normally, too. I want to believe the reason was due to being a holiday and being busy, but it really put us in down moods on what was supposed to be a special night. I brought my husband's leftovers home because I felt guilty wasting the money, but I cannot eat it as I know it will upset my stomach, so I threw them out. **Update: After posting this, I was reached out to by Cracker Barrel. I was given the opportunity to go into more detail about our experience, and I did. Our concerns were listened to and taken seriously. We received a gift card to make up for the poor experience and used it shortly afterward. Our next experience was a very good one. We went as a family and all liked our food a lot. It felt nice to be able to enjoy the experience again and I was happy that the kids were able to have another good meal at a Cracker Barrel :)

My husband and I went for breakfast the Saturday after Christmas. They brought me bacon instead.of sausage. Not a big deal. The bacon was cold and hard. My husbands ham was dry, cold and hard. Our loaded hashbrowns were dark brown and harder than a rock. We were surprised and dissatisfied. 35.00 plus a tip. We were out for a treat and got sadly tricked! Not going back anytime soon!
The guy with the mustache seated us. His lack of enthusiasm was apparent. He literally said the exact same thing to the two groups of clients in front of us, then gave us the same line. No personal touch at all. Our server was very nice, but messed up my order. Tried to make it right with dessert. The cake was not available and the cobbler was horrible. Didn't eat it. Chicken was dry. Sides were less than tasty. Not impressed.
Ordered a steak medium rare and was given a tiny piece of meat no thicker than a steak um. They said there was a smaller option which is not specified on the menu. So they took that steak off my order and let me leave! Paid almost $100 and left hungry. Never going back.
Did a pick up order while passing through after a game and it was 15 Minutes later than pick up order time, no biscuits which we were supposed to get, food didn't taste good, threw it out, and ordered a sweet tea and got unsweetened tea. Due to timing of needing to get home, we didn't have to time to turn around as we traveled hours. Not happy.
Couldn't even get food if I could leave zero stars I would waited at the table for 15 minutes. Waitress never addressed us except to say she would be back twice but didn't ask us about drinks or anything. There was only maybe 7 parties in there with 4 servers. Absolutely no excuse. It's not the first time we have had horrible service there either.
Terrible service. After being seated for 20 minutes, no drinks, no one to take our order, even after asking a server walking by twice. Second time we asked, we were told our server was busy with a large table (which was seated after us, party of two). Not the first time service was slow, probably will not return. The diner across the road has awesome food and service tho!
New review: gave this place another shot and was such a bad idea. We waited 45 min to get a table. The host was very mean to my partner who made the reservation online. Once we all got the table drinks came same time food did and that was after another 45 min wait. Once we got our food it was cold and tasted so bad. The whole table didn’t take more then a bit or two from each items before realizing how long they sat in a to go window under a heating lamp. Once we explained it was my birthday and they kinda ruined the morning they didn’t really care. Did the bare minimum of “we won’t charge you for this terrible food you didn’t eat.” Not an offer for a remake or we want to make this right. The waitress was nice but to little to late. Just go somewhere better where they care about the food and people they serve. Still love the gift shop. Old review: The food was ok, the mimosas were extremely dry and hard to drink. The best part is the Knick Knack shop. Staff was friendly and helpful
I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering pickup from Cracker Barrel, and I must say it was the worst I’ve ever encountered at this establishment. Upon arrival, I found myself waiting in line for about 15 minutes, which was frustrating enough, but the slow pace of the sales clerks made it even worse. It seemed like there was a complete lack of urgency or work ethic among the staff. When I finally received my order, I was disheartened to discover that the food was far from acceptable. The biscuits were hard as rocks and I found other pieces of food mixed in with my order. To top it all off, the meal was overpowered by a strange, oniony flavor that tainted everything on the plate. Incredibly disappointing, and I would not recommend dining at this Cracker Barrel location.
Terrible food, couldn't taste anything except for salt and burnt food. Server didn't understand how to use her iPad and took ages to put my order in
Worst meal ever. Never been a huge fan of this place but today, it was an all new low. Ordered 2 eggs, over easy. They were way over cooked and brown on one side and yokes were solid, not runny like they are supposed to be. The sausage patties were like hockey pucks. Hard and very dry. Even my husband could not eat them. Toast was OK but the butter was so hard, I could not get it to spread on the toast. Will definitely never go there again.
Burnt pancakes through Uber Eats. They flipped the pancakes over in the takeout box to make them look less burnt. Needless to say they are disgusting and I'm dissatisfied. I did call the manager. She was kind and said she would talk to the cook. She offered to cook more but had no way to deliver them. Unfortunately, that wasnt an adequate solution in this situation. I opted and paid extra for the convenience of delivery. I'm working with Uber Eats for a refund. This all could have been avoided if the employee cared more about what they were sending out to their paying customers 🙄. Pancakes take minutes to make. Please do better!
The food was awful, cold, burnt, and the steak was mostly fat and gristle. They completely forgot the meatloaf on a meatloaf plate. How come? The plates arrived dirty with remnants of food we didn’t even order. The Coca-Cola cake was straight from the fridge and unpleasantly cold. The manager was unhelpful; she listened to the complaints and just asked if I wanted something else, without offering any real resolution. To top it off, they tried to charge extra on the bill. Absolutely unbelievable experience.
It's been many years since I went to Cracker Barrel and I was really looking forward to it. What an absolute bust. The service was great but that's where the enjoyment stopped. The meals came, my fries where cold, (which turned out to be the least of our problems), my wife's fried chicken was dried out and over cooked, almost like they had been pre cooked and left out for a while then thrown back in to the fryer to heat them up again and then to top it all off, my 6 yr old daughter was enjoying her burger when I looked over and realized her ground beef was red raw!! The manager came over and apologized then went in to the kitchen to straighten out the kitchen staff for trying to kill my daughter, which I thought was the right play on her behalf but a little too late for us. We will spend the next few days monitoring our daughter for salmonella or e.coli poisoning. With all of the safety precautions put in place these days when it comes to food safety, it blows my mind how a restaurant can be so lackadaisical with the safety guidelines. So, needless to say, I will never ever return to another Cracker Barrel restaurant again. Our only hope right now is that my daughter doesn't end up in the hospital before this is all over.
Server sucked !!! No refill wife's beans where not done sons beans was same her gravy was burnt tasting. The chicken and dumplings I had worst one of many many cracker barrel very disappointing since we moved here and this was my wife's go to.
If I could put less than 1 star, I definitely would. I got the bloodiest tampon looking steak when I asked for medium well. I was cool with tryna be understanding, but it took forever when they weren’t that real busy. By the time I got my plate it was to-go because my family had already finished. The to-go plate didn’t even have all the sides and I had to ask to include it on-top of that. I was not looking to get food poisoning from the sides soaking in the blood and I really only had a few bites. Really just sat there for about 2 hours for a to-go meal. Left hungry. Not sure where tonight went wrong with the restaurant but I know the table beside us were having a few issues as well. The other reviews don’t seem to be that bad either but wow, not happy right now.
Today, we didn't start off kindly! The person seating us at the table rolled her eyes when I asked for a table away from the entrance and loud children. When the food was served, this is what we found: "Chicken and Dumplings" were "mushy" undefined food. Baby food would be more appetizing! Eggs and pancakes were served cold and dry. My grandson asked why my eggs had hair? 😐 which were egg white strands [??]. Maple Bacon Chicken was warm, mashed potatoes/gravy, and corn cold.... Our waitress was nice enough to get fresh eggs and pancakes. This time, eggs and pancakes were eatable! What happened to this place? I remember looking forward to eating at Cracker Barrel, not anymore!!
