Opinions de Le Petit Four West Hollywood
My favorite! A very nice, upscale French restaurant with 2 al fresco seatings (1- 2nd floor & 1- street level) in the heart of West Hollywood, with a vibrant and stylish crowd --- a great place to meet friends over a meal or drinks -- delicious food. We had the filet mignon w/ fingerlings and haricot vert; steak brochette and mashed potatoes with asparagus spears; mussels in white wine sauce. Good service
What an exquisite respite from the busy clamor of Hollywood. Sumptuous, epicurean delights, alongside fantasy and fiction... A realm in and of itself. Water is life and presented by their own water sommelier, Martin. Drink water from 2000 years ago and experience the ingredient to immortality for yourself.
In a mood for bistro fare and stopped in purely at random. Staff was cordial and super friendly; it was a good place to be even before the menus came. Tons of specials - something I really appreciate because it makes me feel like chef was having some inspiration. Smoked salmon ravioli was a winner but the beef bourguignon was unexpectedly great. Everybody makes that beef dish but Petit Four's take on it was exceptional.
I have been coming here for many years. At first it was a central meeting place with friends, but the food, atmosphere and of course the owner Alex is always draws me back. I love that the menu has updated with many vegetarian and a variety of choices to appeal to everyone. The pomme frites are always high on my list reminding me of true" french fries" to nibble while we share wine and conversation. If you are into people watching, sitting outside is a perfect place to do it.
Best French food in L.A. with warm atmosphere and excellent service. The bouillabaisse (fish stew from the South of France 🇫🇷 ) is delicious. The calf liver is a delicacy, only place to serve it! Great place to celebrate and have family and friends. We will be back!
We went to Le Petit Four on a Thursday night and it was really nice to see how busy the restaurant was. The patio was full, and the energy was great. Even though they were busy, we were welcomed and seated right away. The food is California French inspired. I had the escargot and the mussels, and they were both so fresh and tasty. My husband had the white fish and it was really good. You can tell they only use fresh product and everything from the sauces to the desserts are homemade. The waitress, Shannon was really cool and professional. They have a lot of option from salad, pasta, fish to steak and vegan options. There is something for everyone! I will be back to try more of their food. The overall experience (atmosphere, food and service) was great. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Went there to get a French feel and I was not disappointed: excellent food and service, great touch by the owner himself. And not to mention their dessers. We got two of them and shared, they we delicious. Will return soon!
Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in all of California, the cousin is exquisite. Tonight was my first time visiting this establishment having lived in California for 6 years now and before that frequently vacationing in Cali. I recommend the quiche Lorraine can't loose.
The service was amazing. Everyone made sure I was alright. I took a virgin mojito and it was full of flavor. For my main dish, I took the vegetables plate and let me tell you they are probably the most delicious vegetables that I ate in a restaurant. Everything was beyond my expectations. Will definitely come back when I'll be around
I just heard this extraordinary restaurant is closing. I'm so very sad. I have been a regular customer for years. Wonderful staff. Excellent entrées. The owner is so sweet. I'm very upset. The city of Los Angeles should be doing everything they can to help our small businesses! We have extremely awful leadership [ Karen Bass ]. What is she doing for us and our communities!! I hope 🙏 and pray this restaurant will stay open. I'm gay and have always voted democrat. After this I'm voting Republican. This state is in terrible shape!! It's time for new leadership 🙌 👏.
This establishment consistently delivers exceptional food quality and service. The owners' on-site presence and direct oversight of kitchen operations ensure a consistently positive dining experience. I highly recommend the calf liver with sautéed onions and mashed potatoes; it is truly outstanding.
What a true gem of a restaurant. My wife and I were greeted warmly by the owner and given the choice of any table. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and provided excellent suggestions for our dinner. The food was fantastic and service highly professional. It was one of the best dining experiences that my wife and I have truly enjoyed in Los Angeles. We highly recommend Le Petit Four for a guaranteed exquisite dining experience. And the presence of so many local patrons are a strong testament to the consistency of the restaurant’s quality.
One of my favorite restaurants in LA. So French, and so Fun. You will feel like you are in France without having to shell out for the airfare. Great people watching on the fabled Sunset Plaza. Parking is abundant in the huge lot just below Sunset Blvd. Incredible al fresco dining, minus the occasional noisemaker car (again, Why?) But the festive chatter of your dining neighbors is enough to make it a dreamy and romantic experience. Alex and his incredibly hardworking and gracious staff make you feel so at home and well taken care of. The menu is incredibly varied and always excellent. I've never been disappointed by a single dish and I try different meals when I am there. Enough choices to satisfy everyone in your party. This landmark is an LA Treasure! Get here while you can. The greatest places here can vanish. Enjoy! Voila! Merci! XOXOX
This lunch was the highlight of our short time in LA. I still think about these crab cakes - they are a must. They were soft, fresh, and paired perfectly with both creamy dips. The service was lovely. We were given options about where to be seated: patio or indoors. For dessert, our server brought out a cake tray with the day’s freshly baked options. The napoleon was so satisfying. All in all happy with everything we ordered and would certainly be back again.
Great dinner while visiting WeHo! Hostest was great, also when I had questions about the desserts she brought the whole platter for me to see the assortment. Also, very much appreciated was the fact they are all made fresh in house! Highly recommend!
Outstanding evening!! We thoroughly enjoyed this iconic West Hollywood restaurant. I've always been a lover of French cuisine and found the food here to be exceptional. The food was fresh and delicious. The seafood bouillabaise was pure perfection!! Exquisite flavors. Did I mention perfection? I'm difficult to please with this particular dish and am constantly in search of the best version. This is it!! Our cocktails were well crafted, delicious libations! Our evening felt relaxed, unpressured for table turnover. We enjoyed a great vibe, deep conversation, and fun people watching. We found the prices to be fair and normal for the quality of food served. I will definitely dine here again!!
Walked around Sunset Strip and then came here for lunch a few weeks ago. We were there before noon so getting a table was not an issue but it started to fill up soon after. The quiche was good, the roast duck a tad salty and the tomato soup a little too tangy. There is a great view of West Hollywood behind the restaurant
I recently visited Le Petit Four and I must say, it's one of the best French restaurants I've experienced in Los Angeles. The owner was incredibly welcoming and friendly, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. We started with the snails, which were superb, followed by a Quiche Lorraine and Salade Niçoise for the entrées. Each dish was simply incredible, perfectly capturing the essence of French cuisine. The ambiance of the restaurant enhances the authentic French vibe, making it a must-visit for anyone in search of genuine French dining. I absolutely recommend Le Petit Four if you're looking for a top-notch French restaurant experience.
This may seem like a hall of mirrors open to the (very busy Sunset Boulevard) and thus one might think the traffic could distract from the food, but i'd argue that a bistro is a bistro, and this certainly felt like one, which I will assume is intentional. You want strong flavors to punch down the loud senses, and this place does its trick. I thoroughly recommend the specials, and the menu in its entirety is proudly Californian in its culinary selection. It's far from generic, I insist you peek at it further than a first glance. ***Update December 2022*** I'm pleased to see things are still excellent. Keep an eye out for seasonal specials, and I cannot recommend the quiche highly enough! Handcrafted, thicker than a slice of pie. As a secret little tip, try their carajillo, it's probably one of the loveliest dessert drinks there is, and they make a nice one here. A bit on the pricy side, but don't be silly, this is Hollywood; If I wanna get a cheap bite to eat I'm elsewhere.
This restaurant is world class! The food is divine, great atmosphere and the staff and owner are incredible! Favorite dishes are coconut shrimp, steak salad, salmon, chicken marsala, and all of the pastas. Definitely have the French Toast for brunch!
Classy eatery with a French flair for exquisite appetizers, soups, salads, meat, poultry, seafood and scrumptious desserts in relaxed outdoor or indoor seating. Appropriate for single diners to groups; no reservations needed; plenty of free parking.
Love the mirrors. I've not had a bad time here or bad food! Though, with anything, there are ups and downs. It's a well-known spot, popular, and has been on Sunset for a long time. Casual. Lunchtime and early dinners are nice and quiet.
Servers make great recommendations! I personally don't like tart but my wife did. The cheesecakes are prob by far the best I've had in Dallas area. (My go to cake) I got the passion fruit cheesecake and earl grey one both bomb
Great experience. Great food. Great staff. Always refilling your water and wine, definitely a plus. Highly recommend the onion soup, a must when you visit this part of LA. Thanks for a great evening !
I am on a girls getaway weekend from Charleston Sc .We had a excellent time with the staff there yesterday afternoon. We had such amazing food & the staff was so friendly and helpful. When I come back next year I will be going back there
There's plenty of parking behind the restaurant. I went here multiple times during Covid19. Their menu is somewhat limited but still a lot to choose from. I love escargot and Le Petit Four does not disappoint. The food is good here and staff are attentive.
I went to a birthday party for 35 people here on Tuesday night and we all had a brilliant time. The food was perfect - everyone I spoke too said their meals were served exactly as they had requested. The tables were set so we could get up and mingle with other guests easily. My steak was exactly as I had requested and the green beans were crisp and crunchy and HOT. The Napolean is my fave dessert and they did not disappoint. The staff were amazing - kind and always gracious. Cannot recommend highly enough for a large group.
I had SUCH a good dining experience here - amazing food and service! The waiters and staff were so nice and attentive and checked in on us a lot. The food is absolutely delicious (try the penne arrabiatta pasta)! There's free parking and outdoor seating too. I highly recommend!

Le Petit Four is a quaint little French establishment with a So-Cal twist. Located right on the Sunset Strip, their outdoor dining option brings a fun casual vibe, whether grabbing a bite with friends or dining with a significant other. Food portions are spot on, but nothing beats the variety of flavors LPF brings to the table. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor, and give LPF a chance to wow you. You'll be glad you did.
This place was quite intriguing as it reminded me of the streets of Paris. As a French speaker it was also good. The menu however, ranges from French to more American style. I went for Brunch and found the staff very sweet (on the contrary to what other reviews say). I took the quiche and found it very good. The coffee was so-so and I found the environment to be not the most cleanly. A few orders were messed up or just the wrong table. Other than that, the place was very charming. Perfect for children and adults, the menu was very versatile. Perfect for a sit in and for a quick bite.
Good food, not terribly authentic to French cooking but tasty in its own right. Salads are nice, salmon cooked perfectly and the duck was crispy although a bit dry (a good sauce would have worked well with it). Gluten free options are not marked on the menu, and best to ask.
Went there on Aug 27th for lunch. Very lively place, the service was outstanding and the food was very good. We noticed the place had "regulars" that the manager / owner greeted cheerfully. Would definitely go back to try other dishes. We had the Crab cakes, Calamari and the steak sandwich. I only wouldn't give it 5 stars for 2 reasons: the prices seemed high for a casual spot (25 - 45 dlls per lunch entrée ) and because the AC was not running, so it got a bit uncomfortable.
This is a friendly place. The owner and the wait staff are great. The food is very good! It is noisy. It was busy, so that contributed, no doubt. The tables are pretty close together, of that's a problem for you. Part of the restaurant is outside in a covered area. It was about $35 per person without drinks. I would go again.
The Calamari Steak is incredible. One of the best calamari dishes I've had in a long time. I ordered this dish as an appetizer and it was perfect to share with a few people. The pizza wasn't bad, you're probably better off ordering a pizza from an Italian restaurant instead. Same goes with the pasta. I was really upset with the Penne Le Petit Four. It was a bit too sweet, I was served this dish without parmesan cheese. The environment is great, the parking is easy, and this is a great place to go for some french food.
Grade B+ (88): We went there for dessert after going to Charcoal Sunset for dinner. The coffee was good. The Napoleon (Mille Feuille) was good, the flourless chocolate cake was ok, the profiteroles, I liked the cream. Not very impressed for those prices though. The Ambience was good, parking is easy and free behind the building (went around a couple of times on the street, then discovered there's plenty of parking in the back 😂). Service is ok, and they automatically tip themselves well. I won't drive all the way there but if I'm in the area, I might drop by for a steak au Poivre and a Napoleon! 😂
Cute cafe on Sunset that specializes in Seafood and Steaks. By looking at the pictures, it looks like Tom Arnold is an owner. Service: 3/5 Seems to be a bit understaffed today. Food/Drink: 5/5 Mango Marguerita was delicious! Great wine selection as well. Can’t complain about the price or quality of the Prime Rib or Rotisserie Chicken. Ambiance: 5/5 Really feels like a Classic WeHo Sunset spot!
Classic. Historical. Had high expectations when finally got the chance to come in for dinner. I can’t say I was overwhelmed or extremely satisfied, but, overall, a good restaurant for sure. The black mussels not in the picture had an amazing wine sauce.

Ordered linguine clams and it was uneatable they added pepper and it was hotter than any mexican food I ever had. Returned the dish and the second serve was badly spiced, only ate half of it. The location and atmosphere is great, server was good. They only have to improve the kitchen.
The food is tasty. The atmosphere was nice. The service was just acceptable coz I felt a rush and my waiter had not enough time to serve. I asked for a glass of hot water for a pill, I did not expect a teapot for which I will pay $4. And in restaurants of this status and popular location they don’t clear the table when the guests haven’t left yet 😉

This place use to be the place to enjoy great food, great service and perfect ambiance. Now it turned into a complete dump !! Service is pathetic to say the least. When You see a freakin soup standing in the middle of the table for 15+ minutes and your drink is empty meanwhile there’s literally 6-7 tables that are occupied is beyond embarrassing and pathetic !! Long time customer turned into never again customer.
HORRIBLE SERVICE! Watch out folks! We consumed 6 bottles for mimosas. We did tip the waiter Saori MORE than 15%, she came yelling and flailing at us DEMANDING more tip. DO NOT GO THERE! and you manager, after talking to you, shame on you! Tip is at one's discretion!!!!!!!!!!!!
we were passing by this restaurant and decided to give it a try ,as it looked like a lot of people were enjoying their food. I love French Onion Soup and that’s what I ordered! it was the worst soup I've ever had(undercooked onions, watery base and awful cheese that besides not being not the best quality wasn’t even browned enough, crouton had a weird old taste to it! I mean avoid this option for sure! Our calamari were also far from what they really should be. So advice, skip this place!! you won't find traditional French cooking here !!
