I have never had Momos before tonight. I was nervous to try them. I asked the server what I should try & she guided me through the menu. We ended up on Chili Momos. Wlh they were AMAZING. If you enjoy different flavors of Momos or just the traditional style I would HIGHLY recommend Momo Crave to you.
The beef shukati momo is so delicious. Have to order 2 because I will not share. Momos are perfectly juicy and seasoned perfectly with the shukati jerky as a great chewy bonus/ balance. The other momo options are great but the shukati is special.
Best Sukuti Momo , Chat Momo and Chicken Chowmein in NYC so far .
Hand down one of the best Momo spot in NYC….. as being a delhiite you can trust me on this….Very Fresh & reasonable price….. We tried their tandoori Momo, Chilli Momo, Chowmein, Chili Chicken pretty much everything 🤣😂 but each item was amazing. Highly recommend this spot you wont regret it !!
The best place for Momos in New York area! All of their dishes are spot on. Specially their tandoori Momos. The smell is intoxicating and flavor is absolutely perfect! Definitely a must try dish! A small place but the service is excellent and the people working are always very nice! They even have an enclosed and heated outside sitting area now. Perfect for a hot dish of Momos in the cold new York winter! 2022 Update: Still the best place for momos near NYC! 2023 Update: Taste has unfortunately deteriorated a little but still better than most other places. Also no longer BYOB
Nice and small place with happy vibes. Good portions and tasty food. Definitely try once and you will be coming back. Lots of options to try and inexpensive.
Wonderful assortment of mo:mo:s! Tandoori mo:mo: is a must try. Good portion. A wide variety to select from. Good in house music that reminisces of an authentic Nepalese mo:mo: restaurant on the streets of Freak Street Basantapur! This is a must-go place that will fulfill all your mo:mo: cravings!
Absolutely phenomenal halal momos, weonly tried two from the 10 or something options they have and both of them were incredible. Nice indoor dining for the cold weather too.
Just tried this new joint in town. Wow, it’s Momos & more. Hadn’t seen so many varieties of Momos. Tandoori Momo, Taco Momo... so on and so forth. The hostess Jyoti & Mingma were awesome. They went out of the way to please us and make us comfortable. Hospitality at its best. The food was so yummy. Once you visit “ Momo Crave”, you will keep coming back...you will CRAVE FOR IT.
This establishment offers authentic Napoleon cuisine they had one vegan option. The food was cooked to order and very flavorful. The restaurant has a nice vibe and reasonable prices. I’ve been exploring authentic foodie spots dining on the 7 train this is a great stop for this area.
Never had halal momos before. This place was so good and filling. Had the chilli momos, jhol beef momos, & chat momos. Chat momos could use a little more tamarind. But overall they were all great. Felt full for hours. The seating is really clean and nice for a quick bite. The server was very nice.
Never heard of momos until today! These are some of the more exciting Nepalese food I've had. Really good and simple menu. There is limited seating and the place is very simple. Our food was ready in less then 10 I'd say. I highly recommend the taco momo, chilli momo or the tandoori momo and can't go wrong with any of those. The spice really blends well with the sour cream so it's not too spicy.
The momo dishes here are delicious and very unique. They have momo dishes inspired by several different cuisines. There are so many options. I went with the Chaat Momo, which is fried momo dumplings in raita (yogurt sauce) and cilantro chutney, with onions, tomatoes, and onions. You can make this vegetarian by asking for veggie momos, but you also have the choice of beef or chicken. I will definitely be back. There are so many interesting dishes to try!
This place has our heart. We absolutely love the flavors and choices of momos they serve. We've literally tried all the dishes here and we keep going back for some of our favourites. Our absolute all time favourites are Tandoori Momos and chilli momos. YOU have to try this and we highly suggest to go to the restaurant and try it while it's hot and fresh with their hot sauce and green chutney. We recently tried their Chaat momos and as bizzare as it sounds it's actually one of their best sellers and we LOVED IT! We tried the vegetarian ones for Chaat momos and we were just blown away with their chutneys and all the perfect elements in the chaat. Recently tried Momo Crave for the first time, and it exceeded my expectations! Their variety of halal momos is impressive, and I was particularly delighted by the flavorful Chilli Momos, Tandoori Momos, and Jhol Momos. The chowmein was delicious, contributing to an overall fantastic dining experience. The Mango Lassi was a perfect accompaniment, adding a refreshing touch to the meal. The kathi roll was good. The attention to flavor and quality make Momo Crave a definite go-to for momo enthusiasts. Highly recommended!
Visited for the first time & am satisfied with how delicious it was! They have unique options on the menu and the blend of flavors were great. I tried the Tandoori Momo (comes on skewer with a green sauce on the side) and Taco Momo (has black beans, salsa, avocado toppings). One order was filling enough. I will definitely come back and try more!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Momo Crave, an authentic Nepali Momo restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting ambiance made me feel like I was stepping into a little corner of Nepal. The menu at Momo Crave is a true delight for momo enthusiasts. The variety of momo options, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, left me spoilt for choice. Each momo was a burst of flavors, and it was evident that they were prepared with care and using the finest ingredients. The dumpling wrappers were delicate yet perfectly cooked, and the fillings were rich in taste and well-seasoned. What truly set Momo Crave apart was not just the delicious food, but also the impeccable service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch. Whether it was suggesting the best momo combinations or accommodating special dietary preferences, they went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Momo Crave also captures the essence of Nepal through its decor and ambiance. The charming traditional elements transported me to the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. It's evident that the owners have put a lot of thought into creating an immersive experience for their patrons. Overall, my visit to Momo Crave was a delightful journey of flavors and culture. If you're a fan of momos or looking to explore Nepali cuisine, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. It's not just a place to eat; it's an opportunity to savor the authentic taste of Nepal in every bite.
Crazy good Momo place. I haven’t been to enough to call it the best in New York, but I was not disappointed. They have options for beef, chicken, or veggie momos and many different cooking/serving styles to choose from. Try the chili Momo and the katthi wrap! Be wary, the hot sauce they give is actually pretty spicy.
A cozy little spot. Place is decent in size if you're planning to dine there. I liked their idea of different kinds of momos, they're also nice and spicy. Staff are courteous, service is quick, ambience is very well kept, neat and clean. Nice place to have a quick bite or a full meal.
Finally get to go there to try their MOMOS. Came top of my expectation. Loved the chaat momo. Bara was okayish. This was my second time actually. Had delivery before but nothing can beat eating there warm n fresh. Would definitely finish all on the menu. Small and cozy and clean. Update : finished everything from their menu. Chicken bara is awesome. Tandoori momo is one of my favorite.
This was my first time eating Nepalese food so I don’t have anything to compare it to but it was delicious and I would totally come back for more. My favorite was the dish with the yogurt sauce (I don’t remember the names of anything. I kind of just ordered based on pictures). Highly recommend!! There was a yummy Filipino dessert place next door too
Hands down some of the best momo I have ever tasted. I recommend the tandoori momo. Well seasoned, well cooked and very juicy. 10/10 Only thing I would say is that the dumplings themselves seemed machine wrapped which takes away the authenticity a little but the taste absolutely makes up for it.
Really nice place with a cozy vibe! Kinda gives off that Himalayan café feel — if you’ve been to Nepal, you’ll totally get what I mean with the big glass windows and the warm lighting. The staff seemed super authentic Nepali too, both in how they talked and acted, which was a nice touch. Food was good! I’d say go for the beef (yes they are halal) options if you’re into meat — the chicken momos were okay but had more veggies than chicken. Loved the Thai Soup Momo (gave off a bit of a butter chicken vibe) and of course, the Chilli Momos are always a win. Bonus points for the super clean washrooms — seriously, top-notch. Overall, I’d give it an 8.5/10. Great spot, just a little pricey for students.
We were craving some Momo's. Looked around for some places, and Momo crave came up. Decided to give it a try. The momo's were delicious. Most of the time, at other places, the momo are overloaded with ginger. Momo craved, momo tasted delicious. We got tandoori mom which had good smokiness. We also got chili momo, which was good and spicy. They have plenty of vegetarian options. We would visit again to try different momo.
I come here very often and for a few years now. All the momos here are packed with flavor. They're all good. The spicy sauces can give a kick. My favorite is the chili momo. They added a new soup- the Thai soup momo and it's Thai coconut with the steamed momo. Tased very good as well. The artwork around the shop is fun and creative. Definitely look around. I felt like the portions have gotten smaller since it took more Momos to make me full and the flavor has been adjusted somewhat. Hope it doesn't stray too far from what made this place great
This is simply one of the best restaurants in all of NYC! The momos are incredible, the service is fast and friendly. Since they expanded to the neighboring space there is also more space to sit down. We regularly come here even though it takes a while to get there, it is always so worth it.
Jackson Heights is the capital of momos, the Tibetan dumplings. Momo Crave is on the fringe of it, just 2-3 blocks away, on the other side of BQE. The exterior is very unassuming, but it does have a nicely made signage. The interior is pleasant, with small tables along the perimeter, leaving the center of the space unobstructed. Good feng-shui I might say. Walls are decorated with random framed posters and art, some are rather whimsical. The bathroom sign says "Pee Pee Room". Yes, someone has a sense of humor indeed. This being a fusion restaurant, the menu is fun and interesting; but simple and not overwhelming at the same time because it specializes on momos. And all of them are very affordably priced, come with 8 pieces. You really can't go wrong with any. You order and pay at the counter first, and they bring the dishes to your table. Here were our orders (PS. the menu prices are cash prices. The prices reference below are credit card prices): Chilli Momo $12.47. The momos are in their traditional dumpling form, fried I believe, and coated with chilli sauce. Sauce wasn't very spicy, a bit tangy and felt a bit heavy. Good. Tandoori Momo $12.47. Round momos on skewers. This is a nice fun take on momos. Also good. Thai Soup Momo $11.99. Momos are shaped like the Chinese soup dumplings and served over Thai curry soup. This was my favorite. The fragrance of lemongrass accentuated the dish, and the light curry provided the abundance of moist for every bite. There is no question that we will be back to try the rest of their many other takes on momos.
Halal Momo place with good variety. For our first time we tried a few of the dishes including the Jhol (soup on side for kids), Tandoori, chaat, kothey, fried momo and shrip fried rice. The food was very good and fresh. Not having much experienced other than with regular momos, the thing that struck out was that the flavor was not uniform. One bite could be slightly bland and the other bite would be very strong with some flavor like ginger kicking in. While we enjoyed everything, will likely be back to focus on chaat and tandoori as they really stood out!
Overall, we got a good feeling as soon as we got it in, with the decor and music and the lighting overall ambience. And there are lots of fun momo varieties. The momos themselves were alright. The crispy ones had the best texture and the tandoori ones had the shell very nicely cooked. However I wasn’t wowed by the amount and texture of the filling. The chicken variety stood out a little better than the vegetable one. The lassi felt like it was not made from pulp and wasn’t very sweet - a welcome difference. The food was not bad and the place checks out with the vibe.
I ordered veg and chilli momos and chicken noodles.the taste of chilli momos are good and noodle are good but the chicken was not fresh.
My friends and I planned to meet up in NY after many years, and after much discussion we decided to hit this spot. I'm glad we went to Momo Crave, we weren't disappointed. I know we ordered everything off the menu, but only remembered to take photo of few of the items. My favorite was the tandoori Momo, give it a try ;)
Food was good, didn’t like the thukpa soup I ordered, it was loaded mostly with american noodles and there was barely any soup, it had no flavor. Rice was tasty, chicken was good, I would prefer more crispy. The fried momos were my favorite! I also was recommended flat bread with egg but it was very dry.
Momo Crave is a Nepali fast-food restaurant in Queens. If you’re craving momos, just head to the Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens. just off the 7 train on the border of Woodside and Jackson Heights, Queens No other area in NYC boasts such a strong concentration of restaurants, cafes, and food trucks selling Tibetan and Himalayan cuisine. The restaurant specializes in Momos, a popular type of dumplings in the Himalayas, as well as Nepali masala tea and coffee. We ordered- * Chicken Jhol Momo & * Chicken Chilli Momo Both dishes were too good. Mix of meat with spices and veggies, steams, and then saute with sauce. I recommend their Jhol momo for sure. I would suggest, avoiding ordering noddles, wings, or drumsticks - they were overcooked, deep deep fried, and not at all tasty- we did not like it all and asked the owner about replacing it with another momo which they did, so I would count their service great. Ambiance - it's good, with a couple of good paintings and cool decor. Note: The neighborhood hosts the biggest Himalayan food and cultural festival in September, giving visitors a taste of some of Jackson Heights’ best Tibetan, Nepalese, and South Asian restaurants at the annual Momo Crawl With over 25 momo vendors in and around the area
Not sure what happened to their quality lately, we used to love this place and their chili momos but now it doesn’t hit the spot anymore. I feel like they don’t make it as sizzling hot or looks as appetizing :(
I like the variety of momos and understand the hype. But it tastes pretty mediocre to me. I ordered Sandeko Momo, Chili Momo, and Sukuti Momo. I choose those because I like spicy food and it was supposed to be hot. I did not find that spicy at all. The extra hot sauce was hot but was not flavorful. Chili Momo was more of sweet than spicy. And I do not know if they make the momos fresh or they cook from frozen momos. It did not seem like freshly made.
We tried their tandoori chicken momos, taco momos and sandeko momos. Also tried their chicken chow mein. The momos were good, the dips could have been better. Sandeko momos had some crispy soy beans on top which did not go well with it- they were chewy and tasteless. The chicken chow mein was not that great- oily and bland.
Not my best momo I tested , totali below average. I was expecting so much after seeing tiktok reviews. Can't trust on any reviews anymore . I ordered tandoori, chilly , chart and taco momo. Only the chilly one is what I could say have some test but re of all are bland not test at all. Not suggesting to anyone.
The receptionist sounded very cold and the floor was also dirty. We werent given instructions to throw the disposable plates into the trash, so we were waiting until someone came up to clean the table. The steam momo wasnt great, neither was the achaar. The tandoori momo and chaat momo were delicious though.
ngl it was not good. I’ve never had flavorless momo before until today… idk I just expected better and was sad. Fried rice was good tho😊
Service was bad and food was good but just for first few bites as oil takes over the taste. When we reached there and ordered the food they said it'll take about 15 min. We asked if there's anywhere we can sit and they told us to check outside. Every single seats were taken so we sat in outside a bar next to Momo crave. After over 50 min our food arrived, but not all at once. We ordered sukuti, Bara, momo skewers and C momos. We didn't ask, but the server told us they are out of Bara sauce and gave us tomato salad. Everything tasted good after 50 min long wait, but we couldn't eat more than few bites. This place is definitely not suitable for anyone health conscious. I understand these items require frying or sauteing, but I started feeling nauseous shortly after I ate, so I decided to get rid of the rest.
It was ok..I wouldn't go back for anything. It looks like a small kinda dirty place. We got tandoori momo, johul momp and one kaati roll. Tandoori one was good, johul one was like soupy and not as good and Kati roll sucked. Nice people but not something I'd go back for. I ate it like 2 hours ago and now I have acidity. Oh well..
I used to love Momo Crave and always recommended it to others. But I’m really disappointed with my recent order. The dough tasted undercooked, and the overall flavor was bland and nothing like it used to be. I’m not sure what changed, but the quality has definitely gone down. Really hoping this was just a one-time issue, but unfortunately, I won’t be ordering again.
Extremely disappointed with this restaurent and its customer service. This would be my last time ordering from here. I ordered 3 jhol momos for pick up. I was asked to come after 15 minutes for pick up . Here are the few problems i had today. 1. when i went to restaurent there were 3 people eating and restaurent was quiet. I went to the counter and greeted the guy . He nevere responded back and pretended he was busy when nobody was around. Common guys you are running a restaurent and you need customers to return back. A simple eye contact with a customer or hello doesn't harm no matter how busy you are. It will make your customers feel welcomed in your restaurent. 2. I was acknowledged after i asked him again if my food was ready. My food was ready. It was three plates momo and three 4 oz jhol for the momo. I asked if i could get one extra jhol since i belived 3 jhol is not enough for 3 momos ( have ordered from here before). I was told that i would be charged 50 cents extra for one extra jhol. I paid for it. Common guys you charging customers 50 cents for jhol. Go look at other nepalese restaurent serving jhol momo and see how much they give. Even if you are unreasonable and ask for extra jhol they happily give it to you. One extra 4 oz jhol and you are charging 50 cents to your customers. Do you think customer will be happy? Do you really believe that customer will order from you and not go to red panda, thakali kitchen, woodside cafe , gorkhali kitchen and other nepali restaurants in jackson heights that are loacted only in 5 minutes walking distance? 3. Normally other restaurants give some sauce even if you order jhol momo. I wanted to see if they give that and asked for it. The guy was rude and said they don't give the sauce and it only comes with regular steamed momo and it doesn't come with any other types of momos. I know everybody has a problem but when it comes to customer service and when you are running a restaurent which depends on regular customers you cannot be rude . I would rather go to other restaurants like express eats and woodside cafe which are nearby and order from there instead of going to momo crave. Cheers
As of October 11, 2025, Momo Crave has 50 sanitary violations. Their sanitary grade appears to be pending, but for reference, a C is 28. They’re almost double that. This place should effectively be shut down. However, most people who are eating here do not know and I hope the people who read reviews before eating here understands the severity of this and the unsanitary practices of their food. I personally ate here around November 2024 and recently in October 2025 without checking the sanitary violations. I would not recommend, who knows what’s going on in that kitchen.
I ordered momos today afternoon 2/9 and told the guy in the counter 4 times to make sure it’s veg and there is no meat in there as we are vegetarian. I got home and saw he gave me the momos with meat not sure chicken or something else. Never going back again. Looks like they do not respect your presence and think it that it’s not a big deal.
A little overpriced for just momos. It should be under $10. If they think its fine for $12+ then they are fine with negative review.
VEGETARIANS DO NOT GO !!! Very irresponsible staff. Gave them clear instructions I am a vegetarian but they still decided to give non veg momos to us. At this point I don’t even know what meat I ate. POOR SERVICE. FEELS LIKE THEIR CLIENTS AND THER RELIGION ARE A JOKE TO THEM. This has happened second time now, when I called them they said give us proof and send photo of momo. How is the photo going to help with what you have fed me and my family? I don’t care about the money but what kind of irresponsible service is this.
Disappointed with the all the things we ordered. Jhol momo was a joke, it was cold and monos were dry. Vegetarian momo’s filling was made with soya chunks and it was dry. Jhol was watery. Momo skin was thick and rubbery. Chili veg momo had 2 pieces of bell peppers and 3 pieces of onions
First time visiting and unfortunately not a good experience. We walked in, the place was pretty empty, and we were seated right away for a table of two. We waited around 10–15 minutes expecting someone to come take our order, but no one acknowledged us or explained how ordering works. Eventually, I noticed other customers placing orders at the counter. Since it was our first time, we genuinely had no idea that was the process. A simple heads-up or basic communication from the staff would have made a big difference. Customer service felt completely absent, and because of that, we decided to leave without ordering. Disappointing experience.
VEGETARIANS BEWARE! I can’t believe how a business can serve the wrong food and then blame the customer for it. After being a vegetarian my entire life, I know the difference between chicken and soya yet I was told I was wrong after being served non-veg momos by mistake. If you love what you do, own your error. Apologize. FIX IT. LEARN FROM IT. Don’t gaslight your customers and tell them they can’t trust their own senses. I’ve been a loyal customer for nearly four years, and I stayed quiet the first time it happened, my mistake. But not anymore. Please do better. Take responsibility, and stop blaming the people who support your business. This isn’t just careless, it’s disrespectful. Shame on you.
VEGETARIANS BE EXTRA CAREFUL!!! Have been going to this place for a while now. I usually spend $50-100 every time I visit. I always tell them multiple times that l am a vegetarian. Took a take out today, got it for my parents who are pure vegetarians like me, they ended up having chicken momos because someone decided to not take their job seriously. NEVER COMING BACK HERE!!!
