Opinions de Frankie's Casa Wylie
First time visiting Texas. Best meal of my trip!! Dude, where have the veggies been all my life? Chicken flautas were perfect! Borracha beans, fantastic! Wait staff friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.
We’ve been coming to Frankie’s for over five years, and it truly feels like home. The staff is the absolute best, from Jose to Priscilla . When Frankie is there, he always takes the time to check on us. From the moment we walk in, it feels like we’re visiting family. The food and drinks are consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming every single time. Frankie’s isn’t just a restaurant to us it’s home.
Just drove from Anna to eat here. We had the best service and food. I was cold where we were sat at first and the manager moved us without complaining. The food was so good!! I branched out and had the pasta. Delicious!! My son and I both loved the queso. If he likes it, that’s like a ten star rating because he is super picky.
I really enjoyed my meal. I had the pork guiso and it was delicous! My only critique was the guiso portions. I wish there was more food for the price paid. The served it to me in a bowl and it appeared to have good portions but then I quickly discovered it was not. I felt jipped little too be honest. Weirdly enough I can't wait to have this same dish next time. Maybe it was a fluke. Overall, great food and service.
Great service at first time in and we'd loved every bit. Please try the brisket egg potato dish on the brunch menu and it was so good eggs cook perfect very tasty nice salsa as well and ordered a chicken fajitas for lunch to go we'll let you know yum can't wait thanks Frankie ❤️❤️🤤
I’ve frequented the location in Sachse but this was my first time to the one in Wylie. As expected the food and service was excellent. I also think I like the atmosphere in Wylie much better. Not knocking Sachse and the location was a restaurant before that turn an old Main Street home into a restaurant so it already had character. Frankie’s simply improved it!
When my husband, son and I moved to Wylie this was the first place we tried. After trying a few other Tex Mex places around this area Frankie's has been our go to. For the past almost 3 years we have been going to Frankie's at least once, sometimes 2 times per week. (Maybe 3 a few times) If we have family and friends visit, we always take them here. Food has never disappointed no matter if we go for brunch, lunch or dinner. Margaritas are great and everyone that works there has always been friendly. They even know when my husband and I walk in we prefer our favorite spot at the back corner of the bar. We really enjoy having such a great place so close to home and supporting a wonderful local business.
We had an incredible experience dining here with our large group! From start to finish, everything was spot-on. I ordered the steak fajitas, a mojito, and shared the sopapillas…each one was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat, especially with the 90s hits playing in the background. Our server, Danny, deserves a special shoutout. Despite our group being large and very hungry, he didn’t miss a beat. Friendly, attentive, and completely on top of everything—he made the entire experience even better. The only suggestion I’d offer is to consider using larger containers for the individual salsa bowls. The ones provided were quite small and didn’t accommodate the chips very well. Overall, we loved everything about this place and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
One of the best Tex-mex restaurants in town. They had the best margaritas and the food was delicious. Try the enchiladas with fajita beef on them they’re wonderful. Also the street corn is great mix in the queso and it’s fantastic. Definitely should go here if you can. It’s right ion the historic downtown in a house that was converted into a restaurant really feels homey and cozy.
This is one of my favorite places to go in Wylie! The owner is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met, and the people inside are always so friendly and easy-going. They might have the best enchiladas I’ve ever had in my entire life. I’d recommend this place to anyone in Wylie! Also, if you drink, make sure you try their margaritas. They are so good!
Standalone restaurant on the north side of downtown Wylie. Restaurant is a converted house with a patio in front. This restaurant is part of a small chain of Mexican restaurants that have been in the area for years. Parking is not really an issue but you may have to park a ways away since there is not a dedicated parking lot. This place is very popular and the wait times can get long at times. Service is very good. Menu has a wide selection. Drinks and food are very good. Highly Recommend.
Stopped in for dinner tonight just in time to catch a wait. We arrived around 5:30 and had to wait about 10 minutes for a party of 2. However, service was quick once we were seated. We ordered a cup of queso to share, but really don’t need it there because the salsa is so good and fresh, a but spicy, but the white queso is good too!! I ordered Angie’s enchiladas for my entree and my husband had the numero 3. Angie’s enchiladas is 3 cheese enchiladas with poblano sauce, green peppers, onions, and sausage on top of spanish rice. The numero 3 comes with a chicken flauta, sour cream enchilada, and beef enchilada. My partner couldn’t finish it it was so much food! The flan was chilled perfectly, not too sweet, and perfectly textured - delightful even on a full stomach! Service was friendly.
We tried the other location but like this one better. The staff is good and the food and drinks here are great. Lasagna, pasta and fried rice at a Mexican place? We were skeptical but it was good. If you can’t decide between Mexican and Italian then this place is perfect for you. Something for everyone and the food has a kick to it. If you don’t like spicy, let them know. We also ordered the shrimp Diablo (which wasn’t spicy). I would think this one would bring the heat but the kids at our table ate it. It was good but just not spicy. We also ordered some basic breakfast stuff - eggs, pancakes, etc. Drinks were good also. We had Micheladas, Mexican Candy Shots, and Mexican Martini.
Update 4/12/23....online says open at 11am but posted on door says open at 4pm. Check before you go....even the delivery driver was surprised by this so hope it's not permanent. (This review was 2months ago)So 5 stars all around. Wonderful staff, quick service, you could tell they worked as a team and I use to wait tables so that was great to see. We didn't have to hunt anyone down. Food, ummmm hello YUMMY! For sure will be back!
Ok to good food we will say for this restaurant. Service was good and fast . Food arrived fast and was well presented. Chimichanga had a weird taste but edible. Shrimp tacos were needed more slaw and was needed some acid to be added (maybe a lemon or lime) came with a sauce what we could not make up of what was it . Appeared like a cheese sauce at first then at close inspection was more like a broken white yellow sauce. . We wat the shrimp tacos, Chimichanga was left . Kids meals were good. They claimed that the chicken nuggets tasted like the ones at McDonald's
Great place to eat! Food was awesome. The shrimp Diablo was awesome. Service was good but slow to get out on the patio. Although the weather was awesome. So everyone wanted to be on patio. The restaurant was a converted historic home. has an ok patio although it’s loud by the street. RECOMMENDED. I ASKED FOR THE SPICIER SALSA. THE WAITER BROUGHT IT OUT BUT FAILED TO MENTION IT WAS 2$ MORE. Waiters. Say that’s a 2$ charge!!!
The service was good. Food was hot when served. They gave a good portion, and it was delicious. The fajitas were perfect and bell peppers, perfect. I never get bell peppers at restaurants with my fajitas anymore, but there were plenty with this meal. My guest had tamales with chili, and she said they were great. One little complaint, I need a bigger bowl of salsa. Those little 2-oz plastic cups don't work for me 😂
We went in today around 2:30pm. No lunch menu, or maybe we were too late for that. Which was fine, but the prices were kinda wild. $15 for a nachos appetizer that was quite literally 6-8 individual round chips topped with meat, beans and cheese with a dollop of guac and sour cream in the middle. Apparently jalapeños don’t come on their nachos, but if you ask — they’ll give you a little side of them. For an additional $2 charge. Their chips and salsa for the table also come in the same little portion cups, you can’t really fit a chip in there. It felt so lazy. I can’t say I found a reason to return.
Used to like it here. But don’t order over the phone, they’ll mess it up and when you pickup they don’t just over charge you because they didn’t get your order right, they’ll say oh we will have to take this out and remove the food and remake it. I don’t have time for that, that’s why it’s to go. Smart manager would say keep it that’s on us. Don’t recommend at all. Great food if you done inside, but don’t order to go, you’ll be sorry
Management: I’ve been a regular customer at Frankie’s in Wylie for nearly 4years and have always enjoyed the food and service. However, I recently ordered the salmon enchiladas and it was extremely disappointing—watery, bland, and not up to your usual standards. What was even more frustrating was that when I mentioned it to the waitress, her only response was, “Really?”—which felt dismissive and unhelpful. I’m sharing this not to complain, but because I care about the restaurant and hope to see better quality and service going forward. I’d appreciate it if this feedback could be passed along to the kitchen and manageme
