World Famous Bean

Great variety, nice staff, healthy choices. The only problem is that the desert section is placed right by the exit, which makes it way too tempting to grab 10 of their delicious cookies.

We went at 11, which we thought would be a slow time, but it was not. They were just opening for lunch, so some lines started slowly, but not for long. There were many great choices, and we chose the station for chicken and pasta casserole which was wonderful! Also had tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms. Yummy! It was full of college students, so busy and not quiet, but not too loud. Lots of conversation and laughter around. Also several options of fresh fruit and desserts to grab. Great lunch!

The new food is AMAZING! The old food would leave me thinking "this is what my tuition is paying for?" Now it's "this is what my tuition is paying for!!!" The food is restaurant quality. My ONLY complaint is the cups are WAY TOO SMALL. I have to refill them after just a few drinks. I bought a meal plan just so I could eat there while in the graduate program 9/10 (cause of the cups). Very impressed.

The best times to go are at 8 or 9 am for breakfast noon for lunch and between 5-7 pm for dinner. Those are when you will have the most differing options.

I been to the bean 1 time (not a college student) and overall the food looked great they had perfect sized cups the dining was top tire everything looked luxury and perfect. everyone was friendly there was a long line and fries were too salty but everything else was amazing everyone is also so helpful.

It was ok til 1 of the managers came and told me to get out. I've been here 31 years and have never been yelled at like that before. If the Bean is supposed to be in a "Christian" university then somebody should have told this guy. I highly recommend people who eat there to be extremely careful and walk on eggshells or u might get yelled at too. Do NOT go to the Bean if ur looking for friendly and courtesy because they don't have it. Lilly was nice to me but the management needs serious retraining in customer service because he has NONE.

I’m a college student here and as someone who has a job i don’t get off work until 9-10 most days i go to the bean and all the food is gone, they close at 11 and it doesn’t matter if i go 3, 2, or 1 hour before 11 they have nothing i came at 9 today and everything was gone even the cereal bar the workers told me not to walk where any wet floor was and the only thing available was to make your own pizza which i couldn’t even do because they had mopped the area the workers themselves can be rude at times as well very dissapointing because i feel as if their not reflecting the christian value ACU represents we are paying thousands and thousands of dollars to be limited to the food we eat and when very disappointing.

Students at ACU have somehow fallen into a complacent state of mind where we have convinced ourselves this garbage might be worth our time and to not complain about the low quality of food. Well I say enough is enough. ACU get your crap together and give us a place to eat where me and my fellow students won't dread the idea of going to the "World Famous Bean" for a meal.
