Amazing place. The food was incredibly delicious and arrived very quickly. The service deserves special mention: our waitress was absolutely amazing, very attentive, fast, and polite. She made the whole experience even better. Prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our visit and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!
Take31 serves up comforting Korean food in a lively Koreatown setting. The sliced pork belly looks amazing and tastes even better. It’s rich, a little sweet, and super easy to keep eating. Korean fried chicken is also a real crowd-pleaser, with a crispy outside, juicy inside, and a sticky, spicy glaze topped with crunchy garlic and chili flakes. Every bite is full of flavor. The creamy seafood udon is a nice surprise, with udon and a sauce that feel extra indulgent. Altogether, these dishes show how Take31 does a great job mixing Korean flavors with fun modern comfort food.
Take 31 Korean Food genuinely surprised me in the best way. The space is small, but it has a cozy, welcoming vibe that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. We started with the pork belly, and it was outstanding. The pork was well-seasoned with a very natural, clean flavor—tender, soft, and cooked perfectly. Paired with the kimchi underneath, which had a slightly tangy, lightly sour note, it helped cut through the richness of the pork belly. Without that balance, the dish could’ve felt heavy on the palate, but instead, the entire flavor profile came together beautifully. The plating was also impressive; everything looked absolutely stunning when it came out. The Korean fried chicken was easily one of the best I’ve had—and I don’t say that lightly. I’ve been to many Korean spots and tried plenty of Korean fried chicken, and this one truly nailed it. Perfectly fried, incredibly crispy on the outside, and immensely juicy and tender on the inside. The texture, seasoning, and sauce were all spot on. Extremely well done. We also tried the beef ramen noodle dish. While it didn’t taste bad, it lacked seasoning and depth of flavor compared to the other dishes. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend this particular item. Overall, Take 31 delivers excellent food with great execution, especially when it comes to their pork belly and fried chicken. Definitely worth a visit if you’re a fan of Korean cuisine.
Food is very comforting and the perfect place for a cold winter day trying to find a place to eat at ktown when everywhere is fully booked (including this place, but the wait time was reasonable and they gave us complementary handwarmers when we had to wait outside which was so nice). The stew was very comforting and the pork belly with rice crepe and pickled radish was very creative and special. Loved how the radish was sliced to exactly the size of the pork belly, in perfect bite sized slices. The attention to detail was impressive. Service was amazing, servers were very attentive and they give complementary tteokbokki! We got our food and orders in very quickly. The atmosphere was very nice, intentional and warm, not cramped or stuffy.
Dinner at Take31 is a cozy and delicious vibe. We got to try things off the new menu and everything was a HIT. My favorites were the: beef tartare kimbap, yuzu crab meat salad, fried sundae + rice cakes and spicy short rib w. cheese fondue. Honorable Mention: Japanese Apricot and Pome Grapefruit Jjabaegi Soju Cocktails were so refreshing.
Just came back from having dinner from here and definitely exceeded my expectations. We had the Garlic Crusts & Spicy Chicken (spicy, sweet, meaty) along with the Short Rib Chapaguri (savory, subtle and tender) and this combination was heavenly. Service was kind and quick. Will be back!
We went here on a Friday night, which was busy but still got a seat walking in. We very much enjoyed the food: the bossam was juicy and delicious, the kimchi jigae was a welcome savory broth on a cold night, and the fried chicken’s garlic-y flavor and crunch satisfied me immensely. Would definitely recommend for a casual catch-up or even a nicer meal. They offer a unique take on some of the classics of Korean food!
My second time coming to Take31. I had to come back for the garlic chicken it was so juicy and flavorful, perfect texture. The seafood udon was delicious and creamy. My boyfriend and I talked about it all weekend. The complimentary rice cakes were delicious as well. Have not had a bad dish here!
We came in during a snowy Sunday evening for dinner and were seated right away and told that there is a 2 hour seating time limit for non reservations. The server was kind, gave good recommendations not the "this is popular" kind but a legitimate "I enjoy this and recommend it". And he was right the spicy galbi stew was delicious and very flavorful. The ribs are very tender. It’s always nice when servers know what they serve and how it tastes. I also enjoyed the seafood and scallion pancakes, highly recommend!
From the swaggy music to the rustic and cozy interior, loud but just not too loud. Take 31 gives you Korean food with style. All dishes were phenomenal. The friend chicken entree was a huge portion and was delicious. The stew is perfect for 2 people and much needed on a cold day in the city. Service was quick and gave no pressure to pay the bill. If you are lucky, you may even get some rice cakes on the house to start your meal.
Went with some friends and it was great! Complimentary tteokbokki and all the food were very tasty. Service was ok but busy, we asked for a side of rice but didn't get any. The atmosphere is comfortable. A little pricey for the meal overall and I wish there were banchan or a side of rice for the meat entrees, but overall good food. Would definitely recommend getting the pong flurry (crereal milkshake) for dessert too! Bathroom review: very clean and nice-smelling bathroom with individual stalls. Soap smells good 🧼
Open for dinner, we made reservations for 5pm. Reservations are definitely recommended as the restaurant fills up pretty quickly. We were seated at our table by the courteous staff. The menu is filled with so many great dishes that it was a bit difficult to choose. We ended up ordering the Cod Roe Omelette, Braised Pork Belly, Chapguri, Bulgogi Black Garlic Fried Rice and Army Stew. The Army Stew was so rich and delicious it’s like comfort food for your soul. The Cod Roe Omelette was amazing, a definite must try! The braised pork, bulgogi rice, and chapaguri were also very flavorful. To wash it all down, we opted for the Orange Mango Soju Slushie and the Peach Makgulli. The Orange Slushie was a bit on the bitter side while the the peach makgulli was a pleasant pallet cleanser perfect for ending such a savory meal. We have been to many restaurants in KTown and I have to say, Take31 is our new favorite. We can’t wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. And the complimentary tteobokki is a nice touch. What a great meal! Daebak!
Mid Korean food imo, but the complimentary tteokbokki is nice - Complimentary tteokbokki: Chewy and soft, not too spicy - Crispy corn pancake: Love corn, would get again - Kimbap set w/ tuna mayo, stir fried squid, and spam tartare: Didn’t really like it, rice was dry and kinda hard. Lowkey TJ’s frozen kimbap is better - Cod roe seafood udon: Standard creamy udon, pretty good - Short rib chapaguri: Good but not memorable - Vanilla ice cream: Just okay
