Best Classic chicken burrito I've ever had at an El Pollo Loco. Also the biggest. Chicken was nice and juicy.
Always fast service when I come here. I usually in and out, because the team is efficient at this location. They've got great food and my favorites are their pinto beans and their big taco salad bowl (tostada salads) are absolutely delicious. The nice thing about this location too is that they have plenty of parking, because sometimes it can be a pain to find parking at other restaurants but this location has a huge lot. Plus they've got plenty of seating inside so I always find a spot. And you gotta love their salsa bar, because it's full of flavors to try and unlimited salsas, haha. Just don't be one of those people that takes up the whole salad bar for 10 minutes, that happens more than you'd expect, smh.
The chicken in this branch is seasoned better and is more tender than some of the other EPL that I've been to. I also noticed that staff are friendlier compared to before. Service is fast.
This has always been a great place for a quick bite. The foods always freshly made and they're always busy which is great because it means that the food isn't just sitting there for an unknown period of time.
Every Monday night is El Pollo Loco night for me and my family. The reason I’m writing this review is because although there’s an EPL right around the corner from our house, we drive almost 5 miles out of our way because of the customer service and CONSISTENCY of the product every week!

Visiting from Pennsylvania and I must say I was very impressed. Stopped in for a quick bite and the food was really wonderful , fresh and delicious. Friendly staff and well organized and clean restaurant. I was very impressed with the quality of the chicken. It was so delicious. Wish we had this restaurant back east. Loved it.
I went through the drive through, asked a bunch of questions about one dish, then ended up changing my mind completely. The ladies were still friendly to me and patient with me. The young lady in the drive through kindly took the time and made the effort to help me by asking her coworkers or consulting the computer to answer my questions on the prices of a few upcharges. As I said, she was very kind and patient. I really appreciate it!! I got chips and guacamole. I love their chips so much that I don’t buy chips at the grocery store anymore. I know it’s expensive, but it’s what I like, so—why not?? I’m grateful that their guacamole isn’t too spicy for me. The EPL by my house makes it too picante (too hot/spicy). I’m sure others who are used to eating hot chilis in most of their food would find it very mild. I am sensitive to chili heat—I’m kind of a baby that way, if you want to call me that ha ha. So this guacamole was fantastic, as were the chips!
Great healthy fast food. Atmosphere is no better or worse than any other chain. Love their salsa, Pico de Gallo and tortillas. In N Out drive thru is always a mile long...El Pollo Loco is fast...and easy to get back on the 5 freeway!
The service and food preparation is great here no matter what time of day. I often have to order late after work and the quality has always been top notch. Best El Pollo loco in the area!
I went through the drive thru after the main dining room had closed. Staff was friendly and even though it was a CHILLY evening the window staff still tool care of me with a smile 😃 and professionalism in spite of the frosty breeze I know he was feeling on his face. A+++

El Pollo Loco has been around for so many years for a reason. The food is delicious and affordable. You can’t go wrong with the original BRC (beans, rice & cheese) burrito. Also, every Tuesday they have 2 tacos el carbon for $5.00. They are so tasty!
This is the only El Pollo Loco location I ever visit. The food is made properly, the service is better than my local El Pollo Loco location and the atmosphere is probably the best I've seen. I live at least 10 miles from this location and the food still arrived hot enough to eat. I believe this was my third or 4th visit to this location ever. 🍗

They've definitely upped their game a bit, more of a selection as far as their menu goes. When done right, great meal, good price, good portions.
Food was good. I waited a little bit because I didn't hear them call my name. I was dine in and they prepared my food as to go. Female cashier was very nice.
Good food. I tried something new - the Double Protein Avocado bowl. They're still very "old school" with their service...lots of yelling and lots of noise in the kitchen!
Food was decent. Dining area was tinier than expected. Layout is poor - there was a huge bottleneck of people squeezed into the area by the salsa bar and drink dispenser.
It's okay for a fast food chain. The burritos are good, but a little on the bland side. The quality of the ingredients are the greatest strength of el Pollo Loco in my opinion.

Love the food but ordered through uber eats 3 times and one order they had forgotten the salsa and once they had forgotten one piece of chicken from the 8 piece meal. I dont know why whoever made the order would not put napkins or utensils in the bag . Regardless of the missing things loved the burrito and tostado salad!!
My first time at this location as soon as I walked up I was greeted. The cashier gentleman was very nice and also suggested certain things on the menu which I eventually ended up ordering. Only thing that I wasn't too happy about was the chicken pieces were super tiny. Food was good, restaurant was super clean that was a plus and restrooms also.
Went in for lunch it was super busy, they got through orders quickly. Prices are reasonable, quality and food portions are good. If your dining in, the drink station was really messy. The dining areas was dirty, I think next time we'll just drive thru..... 🐓🌮🥗...🚗🛻
Decent spot to eat when exiting the mall and someone gets a Hangry attack. Staff was doing their best smile and nod routine Advise having your order repeated and dont be indecisive at this spot. All in all the restaurant was clean Food came cooked with no mistake. Grub On Folks!!!
I have always loved the food here. The flavors are great and unique, but not crazy. I used to take my older two when they were little and get popcorn chicken. Unfortunately, they haven't had it since my younger two. And some of the food has shrunk. Other than that, I still love it here. Bring back popcorn chicken! 😉

The franchise needs to stop claiming "double chicken" in their menu items. I ordered the double chicken tostada salad, and it was definitely not double chicken. The whole thing was smaller than it used to be, including the amount of beans, rice, and salad they put in. Yes, inflation, blah blah. I'm glad I had a coupon. Chicken was a little salty.
I hadn't eaten all day and I truly enjoyed my tornado salad. El Pollo Loco is the ONLY fast food I can eat that doesn't have to much sodium and doesn't cause me to wake up during the night with headaches. I'm on my way now for taco Tuesday.They have the absolute best crunchy tacos.
I had a problem with this location.. the restaurant doesn't have signs to enter towards the counter.. The cashier was clueless.. The coupon I used needed me to spend an extra 40 cents..I lost my points after having to repay and re ring everything up.. And it was all too spicy.. And no consideration for handicapped people other than the parking space
Chicken was dry.... tortillas were 1/2 stiff not fresh. Kind of a bummer I came from Oregon and love eating at this restaurant......But not today
I bought a family meal mixed pieces and the wigs and one leg were over cooked almost burned they were not edible and have a gas aftertaste, also one thigh close to its bond smelled bad. The lady taking orders inside seemed mad. So sad 😞
Staff here needs improvement, they never answer the phone and don't follow requests given at the drive thru. Better check your order before you drive off.
El pollo loco is always my favorite specially when dora the manager is there she always treats me amazing most of the employees are awesome except one her name is karla this girl does not know how to take care of customers i want to buy a tostada shell by itself and she tells me no you cant do that , i said yes you can i have done it before and she goed to her supervisor asking if i can trade the tortillas from a combo meal to the shell i said excuse me you did not hear me well i said i want to buy the shell alone noy exchange it for the chips or tortillas that come with my meal and she also charged me $6.00 extra to have 2 thighs in my meal she does not know how to charge she needs more training
Drive through was all that was open and it is slow! If your closing the inside counter you need a bigger sign and another menu board so it doesn’t take 5 minutes to figure out what they want while holding up the line!
Good, tasty, well prepared food as usual. A little disappointed at the lack of courtesy by the employee. Was not rude or disrespectful at all but a simple "thank you" would have been nice. We have a multitude of dining options. We don't have to eat here. Most establishments need to put the friendlier, more personable workers out front.
I usually don't give poor reviews bc there are enough people out there that get upset about little things and give 1 star ratings for insignificant things. I ordered a double chicken salad, and not only was it not double the chicken, I was given 0 chicken. It was lettuce, corn, beans, and avocado. I had already driven 20 minutes away. When in n out messed up my order they took my information down and sent me gift cards for 1 meal. But other fast food places just shrug it off when you tell them what went wrong. I rarely go to El pollo loco and I probably won't again. I'd rather be hungry and not waste money.
I can only recommend the double chicken tostadas which is what I normally get at least once a week and except for the fact that it's gotten smaller and the price is gone up it's the best value for the money to fill you up. I tried a couple of the chicken avocado tacos the other day and they were ridiculously overpriced and really bad with hardly anything in them at all.
The food is really good here but the cleaning lady in this location is really rude. She keeps on banging the chairs and the tables like she want everyone to get out if there. It's honestly hard to swallow food when someone keeps making so my hair noise banging the chairs. I hope their management can fix this situation.
Order was fast when I used the kiosk only problem the lady who served my order had attitude and it ruined my appetite to eat there so I decided to take my food else where would of been nice to enjoy my food in a peaceful and air condition area
I was hoping that been in a huge high end town el pollo loco be better than the rest since most of the have become shelter for the homeless. It seems that an American company bought out the once thriving Mexican restaurant it has become worse and worse. My personal experience today was that I had to wait because the young guy was trying to pick up on another young guy. Luckily the young woman at the drive thru took our order. As I business person I could tell the inefficiency in this establishment out of ten people behind the counter only a few were working, while the customers kept waiting on their orders and more customers were coming in. This was a good place, I can only hope it has an awakening. My double avocado tostada,was missing the avocado. Sadly sad.
Oh my this facility was pretty dirty despite the food was pretty good it was just a little uncomfortable. It's sad when you walk into a restaurant and have to ask if you could have a towel to clean your own table and have a snitty employee reply "Well were under staff RIGHT NOW and storm off" Wow excuse me I'm only helping to PAY YOUR PAY CHECK!!!!

Had better experience at other Pollo Lco locations. The taco was too salty and the green salsa was water down. Also, my salad did not have all the ingredients that it should come with.
These restaurants use to be delicious. Made from scratch. Now it's from a bag. Salsas are never fresh. No more lemon. When they had them they were so old and soggy wedges. Corn Tortillas are the worst
I had the new Street corn salad it was good, lots of lettuce not not much chicken, I asked for another pepita dressing I paid $13.00 and for extra dressing .45 for small dressing this salad its not worth $14. For salad. Trader Joe's had the same salad for $8.00 they call it wester salad...
I’ve been getting BRC burritos for years. This location made them extra small lol Now, could it be the minimum wage increase that has them making them this small or it’s just a thing at this location? I don’t know at this point. Also, in the background, an employee dropped 2 empty side cups in the ground and was just kicking them around while I ordered (side eye)

The chicken was hot but disappointing. I bought the 8pc with 2 sides but the chicken was skinny and they forgot one of the sides. I would have had more food with a Costco $6 rotisserie chicken. I hope you have better luck.
They claim accuracy guaranteed for pick up orders made through the app, but even with the attached print out they regularly get it wrong. Be sure to check your order before you leave. Today my tacos were made wrong, they did not include extras that I was charged for, and they gave me the wrong salsa. I asked the shift leader what was the guarantee? I was told that’s just a sticker that corporate made and they just do their best to get orders correct. The food quality is variable. The salsas in particular are mostly cups of water. The dining room is never clean. The do offer good deals, promotions, and rewards just be prepared to quality check your own order.
Boo….left out an entree in my drive thru order and tried calling the number on the receipt - out of service. Love the food but this is pretty poor customer service.
Give a bad review 3 years ago, came back to get some tacos al carbon before they close. Worst decision I've ever made again, 3 soggy cold Tacos Al Carbon no salsa for my chips or tacos, they already had the closing recording on 10 minutes before closing, I would have drove off if I didn't hear the last minute " hey how can I help you" still have my picture from 3 years ago when they gave me 4 pieces of chicken in my pollo bowl, I don't even feel like taking another picture of my tacos al carbon because this place is exhausting ,I'll never come here again. Staff is underwhelming and it shows in thier character. Keep up the horrible job.
I recently picked up my order from this establishment and feel compelled to share my concerns. First and most importantly, the chicken in my salad was undercooked and visibly raw, which is a serious health and food safety issue. While the rest of the ingredients appeared fresh, serving raw poultry is unacceptable and potentially dangerous. Second, the customer service experience was disappointing. The cashier at the front counter appeared visibly annoyed and responded rudely when I approached to check if an order was mine—understandable, perhaps, if names were clearly called out, but they were not. The first time I approached, I was abruptly told the order wasn’t mine. The second time, it was mine, yet no one had made an announcement or called my name. I fully understand that food service is a demanding job and that staff can be under pressure. However, I also work and expect to be treated with basic professionalism and respect as a customer. Experiences like this are unacceptable and should be addressed seriously.
Messy, dirty, filthy. Trash on the floor, in the dining area, on the tables. There's trash literally in front of the register that the employees can see but don't bother picking up. The kitchen is absolutely messy (picture below). The condiment area is dirty. Only one employee behind the counter struggling with taking orders and serving. The management seems to not care about cleanliness, fast and friendly service, and the employees. The worst El Pollo Loco I've ever been to.

It's very dirty all tables. We ask to come and clean. Gut came with stocking wet cloth just wrapped after him I clean it again. Costumer service 0, food is bad and very expensive
I came here tonight at 7:30 on a Saturday night and the doors are locked. Took me about 20 minutes to go to the drive-thru. I'm guessing the daytime is much better than the night time because this night time is totally unbelievable.

Filthy place!!! They need to clean this place more and be more faster! I asked if they could put more avocado salsa and it took them 15 min to do it i was already leaving by the time they put more also the floors were all dirty and the trash i was full i had to put my trash on top of the trash can!!! The chicken was also burnt so i had a bad experience at this pollo loca. All the other pollo locos i go to are way cleaner and has better food. Plz fix it !
Went there last night at 10:15 and the kid at the drive through lied and said they close at 10. I questioned him further and the dummy got caught in the lie. Whatever, another person would call the manager the next day. A review will do for me. Just another case of ineffective management and lazy employees.

Chicken was a baby!! Lol.Salsa was old, soupy and not really RED!! And the Avocado sauce was runny like water was added!! Very disappointing before I even started eating!- I shared this already with their APP..let us see if they truly care!! Lol .
I was excited to visit this location, until I saw the cook arguing with the manager and throwing my order across the counter. The Tostado shell was cracked and salad was not made correctly 😑.

After working for 4 hours contributing to society all I wanted was 2 bean cheese burritos. Instead they gave me 1 burrito, and gave me an everything burrito. It was so bad I couldn’t even salvage it. They screwed up my coworkers order too . I’m spending my hard earned money else where instead on this lazy establishment.

Stood in front of the cashiers including the store manager for 1 minute until they finished gossiping and then gave me my pick up order. No one acknowledged my presence during this minute - no “Hi” or anything. Will not be back ever. Plus the food was wet and gross.
I was very disappointed with their service. (Burbank) Not very friendly the waiting time was to long. When i got home with my order i had no gravy for my mash Potato and i ask for salsa there were none in the bag. I order soup and it split all in the bag. But I work in Pasadena and i often go to Pollo loco on Colorado and they are very friendly and the service was great.
Worst service ever! After a long day of shopping to get ready for my giving birth, we decided to go get Pollo loco. We were in the drive through for 1hour. Finally out turn to order, the guy asked us to hold for a second.. 30 minutes later we decided to move up and order with the guy. We go up to the window and just said we can't order anything. So we finally go inside and they say they are able to take our order inside. They handled this very poorly, I honestly just feel bad for all the time waisted.
Very disappointed in their delivery service! I ordered food for 40 people and I called and I asked please make sure that I have utensils. They said they automatically give the right amount of utensils and for me not to worry about it. They delivered it with no utensils and the packaging was terrible. When I called to tell them hey he delivered my food with no utensils can you please send them they said no. We had to scrounge to find utensils. I had to send somebody to the store to buy some. They did not care. A total inconvenience to them. Even though I had called and asked nicely to please include them. Terrible.
🔴After several years of ALMOST satisfied service at this location, it obviously has changed ownership and management.. It is very visible and noticeable when inside this location.. I am a senior currently on a temp fixed income and have liked the menu here.. However, the last apprx. 2-3 months they have down graded and changed payment methods, mostly electronically.. 🔺Including the REMOVAL of all EBT or state issued assistance programs for payment..🔺 Embarrassingly but Sadly, my close circle of nabors and friends had to leave this store OFF our list and move on to a more TRUSTED and WELL MAINTAINED location for our weekly lunch meetings and have found a much more respected and comfortable,as well as maintained local eatery for our enjoyment.. I / we bid farewell to a PAST small slice of home meals and easy access establishment.. The upcoming State approved Freeway Improvements will make it very difficult access to that corridor anyway.. My experience not so good The cashier was more interesting goofing around with his coworkers I was standing in front of the cashier waiting for him to take my order he didn't even bother to see if were any customers standing in front of the cashier . He takes my order finally I told him I wanted juicy not burn chicken And when I get my order dried burnt chicken. I think this place they lack of people skill they goof around too much And there need to get it together.
I was very excited about the new beef tacos with dipping sauce, I wouldn't expect a big company like El Pollo Loco to have such a messed up operation! My Dad and I were really excited about the new items. After standing in line for about 20 minutes, with just one person in front of me, I finally ordered my two orders of beef Berria tacos, then after waiting another 20 minutes, the lady called my number then informed me that they had sod out of the tacos! Un believable? I asked for my money back, even that took about 15 minutes. I will never go back there again! Plus I will share my experience with everyone!!!
Hi we came to pollo loco and have been waiting in line for 45 minutes and no one helped us or bothered to say that they for whatever reason were no longer taking orders on drive through. They then told us that we can walk inside if we wanted service and just closed the window on us. Their excuse was that they could not give an explanation via the speaker.
Today we went to Pollo Loco at this location in Burbank, around 4:15, and the person (I think he was the manager or supervisor because his shirt looked a little different) who took our order was very rude and didn't even add shrimp on my Chicken & Shrimp tostada but he DID charge for it. The thing is, we took the order to go so I didn't check right there. My mom asked if she could have 5 containers to add guacamole and salsa and he said he only had 2 left. Then she asked if they didn't have more and he said no, rudely (I guess because he had already said that they were only 2 left) But who the hell only has 2 containers left when you have more than 2 customers throughout the day?? And my mom meant if they didn't have more in the back (as they should) and he said, No, I already told you we only have those 2 left. Then a lady who also worked there tried to help us but she said the same thing because she went to the back "TO CHECK" but by then he probably had seen us talk and could've told her to say no because he had already said that. The guy looked very stressed from the very beginning when we got there and first took long to assist us. (He was stressed out and they weren't even more people in line, only us. I've seen other places where they have more people in line and they are not stressed out and rudely assisting customers.) I think they should move him to the back where he doesn't have interactions with customers because what kind of attitude is that? I don't know how he's in that position. We are FREQUENT clients to this location but who knows if we will be back soon.
Honestly the worst pollo loco I've ever been to. Ordered the grande avocado chicken bowl that had maybe 5 little cubes of chicken 😅 I pretty much payed $8 for a bowl of rice nd beans 👎 didnt even finish it, just threw it away. Never again.
I visit el POLLO LOCO and you can order a whole chicken and they will give you 2 tortillas for the whole chiken if you need more tortillas you have to pay for. And the service is like you are not there no one take care of you. I wait a couple min. Before some one help me with the order. Never come back sorry
Always takes a long time here. Slowest restaurant ever. Been here about 4 times and ALWAYS SLOW not one off. UPDATE: They served me PINK chicken... when I went back and told them the lady upfront was nice but those around her shrugged there shoulders (including the cook, as if it wasn't her fault...) last time I come to this one.

After nine, they literally stand there and hold the doors locked even if you pick up have a pick up order and you’re forced to go to the drive-through that will take you 45 minutes to an hour. You gotta plan ahead. I will never visit this location again .
Service was terrible. Tables not cleaned, floors full of trash, bathrooms had no soap or paper towels. Spoke to manager on Sat. 8/23/25 @ 4:00 p m. Gave excuse she was busy as place was half empty, employees standing around. Even kitchen area and counters not cleaned. Please health inspectors come visit this place. After my complaint then they started cleaning. We are in Burbank the most amazing place. I grew up here. What is happening! Absolutely unacceptable! I'm out raged!
Found hair on my shrimp for my shrimp-chicken tostada bowl. Just lost my appetite. Didn't give me a receipt after I paid so I couldn't do a review thru their website. I'm thoroughly displeased and disgusted. I don't know if my wife, who's got food allergies, can tolerate missteps in the basic food practices that a good reputable establishment. There goes my $26 Sunday lunch on a run.
My eating experience was one by which I know as patrons we are enabling restaurants to be lazy, disregarding and unethical in treatment if consumers. Yes, not holding companies accountable for their lack of regard for monies we earn working just as their employees not held accountable. These pictures reflect a container of rice I received from ElPolloLoco on First St. In Burbank. Now I have a couple of receipt from this location because of various concerns and food not fit to send out for consumption but was buried under fresher grilled meat. I know others know that site When I was sharing the experience with a "group" management staff one chuckled at the reality of meat being hidden under fresher meat. I think that individual have also gotten home to find a few pieces not eatable. When do we start with holding our money and let business like such go on... Close your door... Even the employees deserve the loss. Work Integrity/ethics.
