We had a wonderful Saturday breakfast at a café that proudly supports local artists and is wonderfully family-friendly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond with impeccable customer service that left us feeling cared for. We’re so happy with our experience that we’ll definitely be returning with my wife and two daughters.
I had the lemon honey scone and hot lavendar tea, both were great! The place was busy, but I had noise cancelling headphones, and I was able to get a lot done. They recently extended their hours, which is great! It's always a comfortable place to go...and it opens right into the mall! I have always had great experience with service here, and this visit was no exception! Nice job!
Such a cute place! We recently hosted a baby shower here. Food, service, everything was amazing! Friendly, attentive staff. I highly recommend!
I love going to Mocha Lisa. The atmosphere is so relaxing and just overall calming. I could see myself being comfortable coming in here by myself with my e-reader and thoroughly enjoying the quiet atmosphere. Their cappuccino is amazing with one of their muffins. Everything on their menu looks delicious. I cannot wait to try more things. The employees are always so kind. I’ve met a friend from work here and we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, being able to talk and catch up. I convinced my husband to come in with me for his first time. We sat at the counter and he actually admitted to enjoying his coffee.
I love Mocha Lisa’s for cozy vibes and their great selection of drinks even for non-coffee drinkers. My go-to are their signature tea pot with any of the Saratoga tea & honey teas and an almond croissant
Coffee flight was delicious! Food was great. Service was above and beyond. Thank you to the kind girl at the register. She noticed my friend was upset and having a bad day. She kindly came over and gave her a coupon for the next time we come! Thank you! You made her day a little brighter. ☺️
First time in the new location with a friend of mine and we loved it! Large but cozy with good music playing. Food and coffee were good - vegan french toast and chicken pesto panini, carmel and peppermint bark latte. Everything was delicious and came out in a timely manner. The waitress/barista was kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a hidden gem! The menu has a great variety of fresh, tasty, and relatively healthy dishes that both kids and adults can enjoy. The latte was excellent, smooth, rich, and perfectly made. The place has such a cozy vibe, shelves of books, fun board games, and cool tables that make it easy to hang out and unwind. The staff was super friendly and kind, which made the whole experience even better. I really liked their hybrid service, you order at the counter, they bring everything to your table, and you bus your own dishes when you’re done. It’s relaxed but still feels well thought out. Honestly, it’s such a lovely spot. Wish we had a place like this in our neighborhood!
Love this place. Lots of options to drink and eat including bagels, sandwiches, paninis, and salads. Their drinks are great they have a ton of coffees and teas. The chai latte was delicious. Plenty of seating and they have comfy chairs to read a book or do work all day without feeling guilty for staying. Definitely recommend. They also have a small room I think you can book for small get togethers.
I never knew this place existed, and my first experience, was stellar. The caffe was very inviting , the atmosphere was very peaceful. Theres a there's a section to eat and a small lounge area, with a small library behind. The food was delicious, I got the veggie patty Melt🤤. I just wish they were open a little bit later.
First time coming here & I have a new favorite. The menu has a huge range of beverages and food items; breakfast & lunch which I love. The coffee is GOOD- like, they brew it + do it well. The space is quiet enough to focus on your book/work but not so silent you can’t hold a conversation. There’s tons of seating options and cozy corners to work in & they sell handmade items from local creators and tons of books. Really feels like a hidden gem- will be back for sure!!
Not quite a da Vinci masterpiece. Wanted to try to place for a while now but their kitchen hours would end just before I could get out of work on a normal day, but at some point they started to sell liquor and thus were forced to keep the kitchen open during all hours. Works for me. Ordered online using their website, going with a slice of the quiche, a Vanilla Protein shake, and the Joe Buss'n which comes with chips. Came to just under $36 with tip, pretty standard for Cafe local. Pickup was simple, right on the outer side of the mall, though they were waiting to make the final touches on my shake. Which as soon as I got it I could tell it was really, watery, which I confirmed back in my car. Typically the protein shakes I have had are thick, like a smoothie, I mean I added bananas, blueberries, strawberries, peanut butter, and a handful of flavors. Yet it was about as thick as the almond milk I picked. Great flavor mind you, great flavor, but no substance or body. To say I was disappointed, would be about right. Back home I dug into the quiche and the sandwich. The quiche was like many I have had, great cheesy and eggy flavor, the crust was buttery, and the veggies added a nice refreshing edge. Pretty solid. The amusingly named sandwich was, different, but in a mostly ok way. Loved how crispy the ciabatta bread was, the pepper jack was a great choice, chicken and bacon was good, and the veggies were also great, but something about the BBQ sauce muddled the waters. I don't know why, it should have been a good compliment to the meat, maybe it was just too intense? Whatever the reason I found the sandwich to be pretty whatever, nothing to write home about. Overall, prices match typical cafe fare, service was good, shake and sandwich were disappointing, quiche was good.
Great place to have a latte and sit in their large dining area. Located in Clifton Park Center mall. Nice concept of used and new books for sale. Intriguing food menu. They currently have a Gilmore Girl coffee menu. Got a large Luke that was real weak and light. Definitely needs an extra shot in their large size, tastes mostly like milk.
Absolutely adorable! The perfect place for coffee and book lovers. The inside is quaint, and spacious as well. A perfect place for some downtime or to read and rest for a bit. Unfortunately the food is not their forte, the french toast was so hard I almost broke a tooth, and very bland. The coffee was strong , which is always a good thing!
Very good coffee, lots of flavor choices from mochas, lattes, drip coffee either hot or cold all served beautiful unique cups - the lack of paper cups with markers when with misspelled names - brings the cozy vibe to the next level. I love visiting with my friends too catch up laugh and enjoy the environment of coffee tea good eats and books.
Really liked it here! Was in the area with my mom-in-law and decided to kill some time before an appointment. First, the staff were very friendly and personable. I got the special of a cherry chocolate latte and an everything bagel with plain cream cheese which were delicious! My MIL had a pumpkin spice latte with whipped cream and cinnamon and nutmeg and she drank every drop. They have a little book section to buy from and a game shelf to borrow from while there which is cute. It is what it is but the 1 star is lost because the vibe is definitely "in a mall". But I will 100% return when in the area. Highly recommended!
Ordered a slice of quiche (spinach, red peppers and mozzarella cheese) and a café mocha to drink. Cafe mocha tasted watered down. Took forever for my quiche to be served. I had to inquire how much longer for it. It is eclectic in that people were playing mahjong at one table and some were reading books or working at their laptops. There was a section where there were a handful of bookcases filled with books and people browsing. Not sure if books were to borrow and read at the Cafe or could be taken home and then returned or if they were for sale .
Went here once and it was fine. Went today and it was kind of awful. Both of our drinks were flavorless and our sandwich was burnt, but still edible mostly. The baristas were so busy we didn’t want to bother asking for a remake. Our biggest issue was actually the event going on there at the time. We’re all for local authors and supporting artists, but the people there today were selling books with such obviously AI generated blurbs and art it was just uncomfortable and kind of distasteful. The hand outs were also kinda forward about their FMC being a sex fanatic for being on tables where lots of kids were sitting, not to mention the scantily clad AI generated animations on their screens up front. Hope it’s better next time but not sure we’ll be coming back.
If you happen to be in the mall and need a snack, fine. But don't make a special trip. We went to MochaLisa's because it was advertising "Gilmore Girls-themed menu items." Yes, it's a silly reason to go to a restaurant, but if you have a kid who loves GG and you want a fun outing, it seems appealing. We need not have bothered. The place was jam-packed. It was Hunger Games-level competition to get a table. The line was long and the wait for food was close to 30 minutes *after* ordering. The "Gilmore Girls"-themed advertising was misleading, at best. There were maybe three lattes with GG names and a hot cocoa. My kid ordered "Luke's pancakes," only to learn that there is a pancake-flavored latte, not ACTUAL pancakes. When we found this out, the server said, "Oh, you're the third person today to be confused by this!" I mean, in a breakfast shop, if the menu item is called "pancakes", shouldn't it BE pancakes? Anyway, the mug containing my coffee had lipstick on it. Ew. The staff didn't even apologize. She just dumped it into a new cup and handed it back to me like I was an inconvenience. When our food was served, they didn't give us utensils until we specifically requested them. The food was meh. They also were using tiny plates and my croissant was hanging off the plate because it did not fit, so I was practically eating off the table. The staff was unfriendly, at best. They were busy, yes, but also pretty dismissive. All in all, it was a disappointment. I am not so familiar with Clifton Park, but I am sure there are friendlier, tastier, less crowded, quieter dining experiences nearby.
Don’t get me wrong, this place was super cute. I loved the books and the cafe was very cute itself. However, the food and drinks were not good at all. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap, the tortilla was hard, the salad and chicken inside were not good at all. It tasted like a bad salad mix. For a drink I got a blue raspberry Italian soda, there was no ice in it, so it was room temperature, and it just did not taste right. Poor quality. I definitely won’t be coming back. But, like I said, the cafe was cute and it was nice that they had a “borrowed” game section too.
I ordered two small lattes and an almond croissant to go. We ended up waiting for 12 minutes. We had plans and eventually told the barista we could no longer wait for our drinks and food. When we asked for a refund, the barista was unhelpful and abruptly told us to "call or come back later." He didn't even acknowledge our excessive wait time or apologize for the delay. We were frustrated and walked out. However, one of the owners, Roland, noticed us leaving and followed us out to ask what happened. After we explained the situation, he immediately processed a full refund and even offered us the croissant for free (we declined and just took the refund). While the initial service and wait time were disappointing, Roland’s proactive customer service turned the situation around. I appreciate his effort to make things right.
If you are searching for moldy surprises, charred bagels, and a profound sense of disappointment proportional to the amount you just paid, then dash right over to Mocha Lisa’s. The employees are kind, and that’s about as good as it gets. I’ve genuinely tried to love this place. I’ve been a regular for an extended period, giving it more chances than any café reasonably deserves, but the consistency just isn’t there and the quality keeps slipping no matter how patient or loyal you try to be. I’m also increasingly frustrated because, from what I’ve seen, they appear to be using Great Value products despite charging prices that suggest otherwise. No more Mocha Lisa’s for me! I’m done with this disaster.
