I have heard about this place for a while and have been watching to try it so I finally went with a few friends. You order at a register then they bring out your food to your assigned table. I got the Nutella waffles with strawberries and a side of potatoes. The waffles were delicious and the perfect amount of sweetness. I will say it says on the menu syrup is an extra $.90 but I just asked for it at the register when ordering and they added it to my order for free. In addition the potatoes were not for me. They were heavily fried it was hard to eat them because they were pretty heavy for me, so I ended up giving them to my friends to finish. I know my friends loved them though so if that is your thing definitely get them, I just prefer pan potatoes not fried. I would definitely come back again!

The chicken was amazing! Got the dirty spice level and it was delicious with a nice kick. French toast was also delicious! I ate every bite. I prefer the French Toast to the waffles because I prefer my waffles fluffy, and they do crispy waffles.

Today was my first visit to Mess Waffles, and I really enjoyed it. Service was good and helpful, and I got recommendations for my next visit. I ordered the chicken and waffles, with a side of mac and cheese. The chicken is probably one of the best pieces of chicken I have ever had in my life. Perfectly cooked, juicy, the breading is phenomenal! Waffle was nice and fluffy. The sauce they give with it was very enjoyable with the chicken and waffle. The mac and cheese was great as well. Next time I visit College Station I will have to come back and try this again, as well as the dessert options.

We stopped by for brunch after church today the line was out the door but it was definitely worth the wait. The cashier helped explain the menu to us and Once we sat down we got our food really fast.I tried the Cajun Mac & cheese it was so yummy but a little spicy. My son tried the mess breakfast which i sampled too it was delicious and we also ordered the Nutella waffles with strawberries.🍓they had freshly squeezed orange juice and Starbucks frap. We plan on coming back and trying more menu items. My favorite was the Mac and cheese!! Worth a try and the food was reasonable priced.

This is one of the best breakfast places around the college. I like their ambience, food and service. All the items prepared are fresh and you can feel while eating. It’s not expensive and their mimosas are good.

Dang this place is GOOD! -- end of review! JK 😊 I really liked it and so did my wife. Most of the things on the menu have a kick of spice, so you may be disinclined by that alone, but I found myself liking it a lot more because of that! I had the chicken and waffles with medium spice. It was enjoyable and delicious. I also threw on some spicey honey sauce and it was a very good choice. My wife complimented the side of bacon because she felt it was a good portion of bacon for the price. Happy wife, happy life. We both had coffees and it was really good! The service was great, no complaints there! We were the first ones here right when they opened and slowly some others started showing up. But there for a while it was all ours. We sat outside and enjoyed the view (pics attached). It was a very calming environment and just what we needed to get a break from our hectic routines. We'll be back for sure and maybe I'll try the California Reaper spice next time. ☠️☠️☠️

A classic college station brunch spot. I have been going year for years and there savory and sweet dishes never fail to satisfy. Part of the beauty is the simplicity of the dishes - they are all combinations of classic brunch items. I always get a snack size cookie butter waffle with strawberries and bananas. They have a great variety of options as well (but don’t expect many healthy options). Love the atmosphere as well. They have a great pick 2 deal after 10:30 am weekdays as well. Definitely a to go spot for breakfast and brunch.

MESS was outstanding!!! We had the chicken and waffles, Buffalo Mac n cheese, and one extra tender with fries. PS - if it’s your birthday!!!! ‼️ The staff was so kind to give me a birthday dessert, Nutella waffles!! Flavors were 10/10, and the experience itself was great also.

The vegan options are fresh and tasteful. Being vegan for 5 years now, MESS Waffles was the first place I ever tried vegan chicken and waffles and am super impressed and happy I did. Their Mac and cheese is impeccable, too. Just wouldn’t recommend the oily side potatoes. It’s too heavy. Their avocado toast is delicious and light. Many different options to try including dessert waffles.

MESS is my favorite breakfast spot in College Station. They specialize in comfort food & offer Vegan options. Their Mac & Cheese is the best mac I’ve ever had & everything they make is made fresh. The dessert waffles & Nutella waffles are incredible & I always recommend this place to friends. I’ve been coming here regularly for years now & it’s a must every time I’m in town. The owner & staff are very friendly & make sure we’re taken care of. Our favorite items are the Mac, Up-Cluck-And Away Mac, Waffles, French Toast, & the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Food is a 12/10!

Had lunch here with our son and a couple of his friends on Saturday. The place was extremely crowded and buzzing as only a college town joint on a weekend can be. The food can only be described as some sort of attempt at fusing cafe food, spice soaked chicken, and waffles, all into a plate-able combo. Some combinations are decent, but others like the chicken served on a bed of french fries is a disaster. Err on the side of caution with spice levels. Since the spice seems to be some form of powder randomly sprinkled over the food, there's no consistency. It can range from mild to simply inedible. Service is decent. With the kind of crowd, it's tough to manage peak hours. But you won't mind given the general vibe.

I had very high hopes for this restaurant. It has pretty good reviews, so I’m wondering if we caught them on a bad day. We went in on a Saturday morning- a rare breakfast date for my husband and me. There weren’t that many people in when we came in. After a little bit a couple other families came in. Our food took a very long time come to us. They delivered another table’s food to our table, and it was a table that came in after us. I was disappointed to see that they were served before us and when our food did come, it was cold. My fruit was rotten. We told the waitress about it and she said she could remake it, but at that point, I didn’t want to wait any longer. We asked her what we should do and she said, just go ahead and eat it and I’ll see about getting a refund. The team leader came back out and told us because we ate the food that we could not get a refund. I have honestly never heard of that before, considering if they were to take my food, they were going throw it in the trash anyway. He definitely was not polite and I pointed out that not only was my food cold but the fruit salad, that I paid extra for, was rotten. They were completely unwilling to make it right. He said he talked to the owner and he was going to give us a refund. He took our email address but the owner never contacted us. Very bad experience.
