It is clasic hongkong chinese food with lots of flavor. I come on sunday night and it was pack. The same day on Father's day. Food was good. I order hotpot, spareribs sweet and sour and rice claypot. The hotpot took longer to prepare than claypot. Service was ok, good vibe, planty of parking. Will come back again to try others dish.
I spent a fair amount of time in HK and the food here really takes me back. Love the curry beef and pineapple buns. Decor is mostly 80s/90s (peak) HK cinema posters, kitschy but fun.
Been coming here for a long time. Like the food here. Traditional Hong Kong style cafe.
the BEST breakfast place i've ever discovered!! best food, best servers, best classic hong kong diner atmosphere~~
Came here with my Cantonese friend as he knows all the good dishes and he didnt lead me astray! Had some delicious scallop fried rice and tried some of the beef my friend ordered.
Best HK style cafe around! Get the pineapple bao with butter, chicken curry, minced pork with egg rice, gai lan. FYI my family comes here weekly and we decided to visit their nearby competitor and this place is WAY better!!
Delicious food corner is indeed delicious. They have drinks that you can't really find here. Food is also not super expensive. However they charge extra for cold drinks.
authentic cantonese cuisine. Recommend the pineapple bun, and milktea. For my order, I recommend the Stewed curry beef, eggplants and the peking duck.
this is the best one of the chain. i’m glad to see their service is getting better and better.
Friendly staff and traditional authentic Cantonese food! I really enjoyed the barbecue pork!
Food was delicious. Waiter was attentive. Would defintiely come back
Always my top choice of hk style restaurant. This store has BBQ pork stand fresh made. Even better
Such a great place. Good food, good service, and ice cold ac. Will go back many times.. Love HK food
Nice bgm, good music taste
One of my favorite place for both Chinese and American family/friends
Usually get seated right away Place very clean High noise level Staff very friendly Price is reasonable Food is excellent Parking spaces adequate Fast refills of drinks
Great food and service! They didn't mind or being rule to us, even we sat and chat there with old friends, our lunch last for 4 hours!
This restaurant lives up to its name. Simple no frills Chinese style comfort food at good prices. Lots of varieties, although I wasn’t able to find the typical won ton on their menu. With all the food we tried there wasn’t any dish that was subpar. Even the simple curry fish ball had good taste and flavorful. Their Roast Pork skin was crispy and not too dry. House Special Stir Fry vermicelli hit all the right notes, and their beef chow fun was done with minimal oil. Wait staff was busy but still attentive as they kept our HK Style milk tea and other drinks refilled. The beef stir fry udon had a good blend of flavor, and the chicken wings (although came later in the game) was one of everyone’s favorite.
I have been living near to this restaurant for 3 years but have never known it is a gem in town for authentic Hong Kong food. Every single dishes is so delicious just like its name. My family came here to eat for breakfast, it was so good so they came back on the same day to eat dinner and dinner was excellent too. We ordered many dishes and each dishes came out perfectly in taste and presentation, feel like your mom or grandma cooked them with love for you. My most favorite was salted fish rice and stirred fried ong choy The services was super nice, friendly staffs made us feel like we were eating at home. I love HK traditional style that brings you some nostalgia of old good days, I found it here from food to services. Food price was very reasonable and portion is very right as well. I am very glad I found this restaurant, I can come to order food for family and eat here anytime
Whether you're looking for an hk breakfast or lunch, this is the type of place to go. It has been a few years since I last came to a Delicious Food Corner, but still great food and great atmosphere! It is slightly pricey if you want more food and wanting to try some new things, price point wise it did go above $20 per person. But food was worth it! Best dish definitely for this trip goes to the fried squid! Nicely crispy on the outside, but very tender center. Yummy, even though it was the last dish that came out and we were mostly full, it was still good. That's how you tell if you're not hungry anymore but the food still taste delicious and you want to eat more. The shrimp rice roll was great too. Can't really compare to Joe's in NYC but still great with a little soy sauce and the chili oil. The chili oil is fragrant spice which complimented the rolls nicely! It was about a 20 minute wait for getting seated so not too bad, cause I remember in the past, it was closer to 1hr waits pre pandemic at other locations.
We came on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30pm with a party of 7 and were seated around 20 minutes later. We ordered preserved century egg with pork congee, pineapple bun with butter, three combo plate with duck, roasted pork, and honey bbq pork, fried squid with spicy salt, steamed shrimp flour roll, filet mignon cube with mushroom, beef chow fun dark soy sauce, and more, as well as drinks. After tips, our whole meal came out to be $30/person. All the food and drinks we ordered were yummy, authentic Chinese food, and they were very generous with the portion. The servers were very on top of refilling our drinks and checking in on us. They were also patient with us when everyone at the table was ordering their food. Overall, I would definitely come back again. Great food and great service!
Went in for brunch and the brunch deals are pretty good. Ordered several items to share with a group of 5 and ended up with leftovers. Fairly well priced and pleasantly surprised with the service staff's ability to help with allergen avoidance. Note: very busy! Expect a ~20 minute wait time for a table if you don't arrive right when it opens.
Staff is helpful and friendly. Great service. Food comes out fast and hot. The food is tasty, good portions. Plenty of parking. Cantonese style cooking. I've eaten here several times now. I'm never disappointed.
My go-to HK food spot. There is a closer location to my house, but I keep coming to this location. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is just plain better than their Irvine location.
New location just opened very recently! The food was great for a takeout experience. Their service was accommodating, they gave me a free iced tea to go since I was waiting so long. Definitely recommend ordering ahead online or on the phone for takeout. Will have to go again to experience dining in! The restaurant is very clean and gives me strong diner vibes! Huge variety of Cantonese breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes that are all freshly made. My favorite was definitely the Chicken Congee, a soothing savory porridge that is surprisingly flavorful.
Cantonese food reminiscent of Hong Kong street food. Simple setting but great tasting food. Best freshly baked pineapple buns in the area!
Amazing food. Ate in for breakfast and we ordered the following: HK Style Milk Tea - good; add condensed milk at the table; comes with refills Pork & Preserved Egg Congee - good; add salt to taste at the table; fried noodle bits on the top were a nice touch Steamed Flour w/ Dried Shrimp - excellent; topped with a nice sort of soy peanut sauce; the texture of the rice noodle was nice and firm (too many other places make it too soft for my taste) Fried Noodle - okay; it was alright, but I’m also not a big fan of this dish normally Curry Fried Fishballs - excellent; the curry is really good — way better flavor compared to other places HK Style Bun w/ Butter - subpar; this seems really popular, but I don’t think it’s worth the calories; the pineapple bun topping wasn’t as crispy as I would like and I don’t think the butter added much EDIT 1: Came here again for lunch. 3 BBQ Meat Platter (Honey BBQ Pork, HK Roast Pork, Roast Duck) - excellent; fatty part of the honey BBQ pork was fantastic; lean part was so-so; HK roast pork had a nice crispy skin and moist meat; roast duck was good, but did not particularly stand out Pork and Eggplant Clay Pot - very good; pork had a nice surprisingly soft texture Cauliflower and Sausage Stir Fry - good; solid dish with good flavor
Constant food quality and friendly service HK style cafe with new special seasonal menu items
The most delicious Hong Kong cuisine I have ever have, service are very good, also I like there Milk tea a lot, especially they are refillable. Highly recommended to give it a try and it’s a good place to enjoy local Hong Kong cuisine
This the my go to for HK food. Never had a bad experience here. I know every time I come, I'll leave satisfied. Food is always on point, and they serve some good HK milk tea.
Very famous Hong Kong restaurant; still very busy at 8:30pm (they close at 9pm). Unfortunately they only serve pineapple bun with butter till 2:30pm, so not a dinner item. All other dishes are still very good and tasty. The clay pot rice (not really cooked by a clay pot) is so good - you can find the rice very crispy at the bottom of the pot.
Came here on a long weekend Sunday at 9.30 and there was already a wait. Luckily not too bad of a line. Strongly recommend the buns. If you buy some to go, warm them up in the microwave for 5-10 seconds and they will still taste amazing. All other food are good too. Come early to avoid a longer wait. Their lemon tea is refillable. Enjoy!
Indulge in a culinary adventure with three new standout entrees: Hainan Chicken, Sizzling Beef Tenderloin, and Baked Tomato Pork Loin Rice. Each dish is a masterpiece of flavor and texture. First up, the Hainan Chicken, a beloved classic that never fails to impress. Tender poached chicken, imbued with subtle hints of ginger and garlic, rests atop a mound of fragrant, fluffy rice. Next, the Sizzling Beef Tenderloin takes center stage, promising an explosion of flavors with every bite. Juicy strips of beef tenderloin, seared to perfection, sizzle enticingly on a hot skillet, releasing mouthwatering aromas that tantalize the senses . Last but not least. Succulent slices of pork loin, baked to tender perfection, are nestled atop a bed of fragrant jasmine rice, infused with the sweetness of ripe tomatoes. These entrees promise a dining experience that transcends expectations. From the classic simplicity of the Hainan Chicken to the bold flavors of the Sizzling Beef Tenderloin and the fusion delight of the Baked Tomato Pork Loin Rice. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

Enjoyed their congee with side of fried noodles. American breakfast (ham, eggs and toast). First time service was bad. Gave it a second try, and both the good and service was great. It gets crowded, but if you arrive about 9, there won’t be a wait.
Good food service was great. Very crowded majority of food was good. Surprised at how busy it can get here other places may be better. Prices on the higher end.
Thursday 1/18/24 Dinner at Delicious Food Corner in Diamond Bar with my cousin. Enjoying Hong Kong style steam chicken, roasted duck, beef stew hot pot, and Chinese stir fried broccoli. Delicious! The service staff were attentive and kept on refilling my Hong Kong style lemon iced tea without asking. I recommend trying this restaurant. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast
Food is good. I'm not going to say it's perfect nor it's under graded. It's just about right. Location is great too, just off the highway. I think the place used to be a cocos restaurant. Anyway, the price is average, around 15 dollars/person if you don't order anything fancy. Personally be there for a couple of times. No troubles have been faced and hope will not face in the future. Last time there was someone from Beijing talking so loud and bragging about his success over Americans. Feel sorry for his date.
We went on Saturday evening and the place was packed. We ordered the wonton soup, salty fish pork patty rice pot, and their house string bean. The wonton is OK; the soup does have the flavor of roasted fish, as it should for wonton soup. The broth is on the salty side. The house string bean with a mix of sliced ginger, onions, and ground pork is stir-fried in perfect harmony and is the tastiest of the 3 dishes we ordered. The salty fish used for the rice pot is of high quality. The pork patty is done smooth and juicy. It is overall as expected. The service was good and courteous unlike another HK-style bistro in San Gabriel that I don't want to name in this review. No, it is not their Rosemead location.
Food is good as all DFC locations. Especially the pineapple bun. Down side is that this location doesn't have baked rice/spaghetti.
Wonderful place for Cantonese food. Got an assortment of items, lotus, fried pork belly, crispy fried egg tofu, and more. Generous proportions and great service. Spilled water on accident and had people come right away for cleanup. Definitely get the egg tofu, was my favorite dish and couldn't stop eating it.
Typical HK style breakfast that really hits the spot. Good selection of items including porridge, noodles, steamed rice rolls and more. The bbq pork steamed rolls were tasty and the porridge had a ton of pork and preserved egg. The pineapple buns were good but too small. They also give free refills on milk tea. Short 10-15 minute wait around 9:30AM on Sunday. Cons: the soy sauce noodles came out barely warm and after 5 minutes it was already cold and chewy. We ordered takeout and had to ask them three times for it. The third time they brought out the drinks but still forgot the pineapple buns.
(8/31/2023) Come back here again for good Cantonese food, and it's always good in general. Service is good and very quickly. Unfortunately, This DFC price is way higher than other locations of DFC or other Cantonese Cafe. Recommended the dishes in the photo, they are all good and big portions as well. Also, Lemon Ice Tea is worth trying. Overall, probably one of my options if I wanted Cantonese food again.
It’s a chain- can hardly go wrong with service. This one is their newest one I think- I watched it being renovated when I drive past on my commutes. Found this location to be very clean and the waiters extremely helpful. Directed me to where I could pick up my to-go order. Food is solid. Congee, noodles, bbq pork… Usually depends on what I’m craving because their menu is HUGE. And what time. I grabbed lunch here and I just love salted fish and chicken tofu pot. It’s hard to find nowadays. Their rice bowls with the hk preserved meat is super good too as well as honestly- all of their dishes. Sometimes depending on who the chef is the dishes can come out a bit salty so I always order light salt (or maybe because I eat at home and don’t use too much seasoning….)
Food was very good and served quickly. Had Clay Pot Beef Stew, Sliced Pork, Fried Tofu w/ Veggies, Roast Duck, Curry Beef w/ Broccoli, Fungus and veggies, and some type of soup. Service was good. Only problems were the benches at our table had no backs which proved challenging for our elderly relatives, and the temperature was freezing inside.
Very delicious food as always. Only thing is the place is crowded which affirms that their food line up is well patronized by their guests. May I suggest that the busy servers not to run when serving.
Authentic Chinese restaurant with efficient approach, u eat and u leave. Lunch special is inexpensive; soup, fiber, protein, and grain, healthy! Will come again for the stew tripes, intestines, pork legs, and all Chinese BBQ delicacies.
Cool retro style HK cafe in Diamond Bar area, definitely has some of the 90s feel to the interior (by design) and even has a hanging SNES overhead. The atmosphere is quite cool, laid back. All drinks get free refills, including the specialty ones like Iced Lemon Tea or HK Milk Tea, which is a nice touch. The food is decent, while not the best HK Cafe, I can see why people come here for the consistency and the service. Their BBQ meats are decent at best. All that being said, it’s a cool spot to hang out and enjoy HK style food with friends and family.
LA baffles me. $20 can get you one cocktail at a ritzy bar, or a coffee and a pastry at a trendy cafe you found on IG, or a whole meal with leftovers at an HK cafe in the 626. Delicious Food Corner is a local staple, and I love how each location is different. The Diamond Bar store is a larger restaurant and solid as expected. The menu is endless pages of glossy colored photos and options, and it took me forever to decide on what to order. I went with the green beans and beef entree, and an iced HK milk tea on the side. ** The beans were perfectly flash-fried, and the dish overall had good "wok hey" ** Came with a large serving of fluffy jasmine rice, which as an ABC, I failed to finish ** Milk tea was average; the tea tasted a little watered down and it was more sweet than I expected despite requesting less sweet Total damage was only $24, and it could have easily lasted two meals although it was so good that I kept eating. The servers are friendly and give me auntie vibes. They are all very attentive, checked in with me frequently, and worked efficiently with their tablets to keep up with orders. Other notes: - Card accepted! - Space is clean and well-kept - Location is an excellent pit stop along the freeway - Bathrooms are clean and stalls are decorated with street art wallpaper
Super friendly staff — they were happy to help with anything we asked. Food was really tasty and fresh. Definitely coming back!
I had a pretty good first experience here. The atmosphere was nice, the food was good, and the staff were quite friendly. This is a standalone building with a good amount of seating inside. I had the curry brisket rice, and enjoyed the dish. Note that this place does not give you any appetizer like soup. I don’t think I have been to a DLC that I didn’t enjoy, I’m happy to see them expand towards the inland empire so that there can be more HK food in the area. Will probably stop by again sometime soon since it is so close to the office! Im sure they chose this location strategically! Until next time!
I love Asian food, but there are hardly any places near me that are open for breakfast. I came here simply because they were open early and I was pleasantly surprised by their Hong Kong style breakfast, which was new to me. I like how light the congee is and the breakfast combo price is pretty fair considering that I usually eat half the combo and then eat the leftovers for lunch so I stretch it into two meals. For the combo, I tried the chicken congee (main) with steamed rice rolls the first time and the sticky rice & chicken in Lotus leaf (very flavorful) the second time. I've gone a couple of times now for breakfast and there has been plenty of space and good customer service. I would like to go back for lunch to try other dishes.
Pretty good canto food. Fried pork was good, buns were good, cauliflower was good, bbq plate not that great. Seemed like it was a couple of days old. Decor was upscale hole in the wall. I hear the dim sum is not bad, so will want to check that out sometime. Was also a little upset my kumquat lemonade didn’t have any kumquats in it. But oh well, think this place is a solid 4
We had a large party of 13. They allowed us to put two large tables together to accommodate our party. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed all the dishes. We ate family style. We had 6 dishes for our side of the table. We ordered a beef dish, chow mein, curry, baby bok choy with mushrooms, green beans and a whole chicken (soy chicken with ginger scallion sauce) everything was very flavorful. The curry came with paratha bread which was so good. The service was friendly and attentive. We had some leftovers. Would definitely return to try more dishes.
Today is the soft opening. Service is FANTASTIC and attentive, despite they are SUPER BUSY ! Drinks are GREAT ! Kumquat Lemon with honey = Taste Grade A Lemon tea with passion fruit flavor = Taste Grade A- I love the FREE REFILLS on the REGULAR lemon tea and it tastes great and NOT too sweet. The food are just ok in my standard. Soy sauce chicken = Taste Grade B Honey BBQ Pork = Taste Grade C+ Roasted Duck= Taste Grade D+ The skin is NOT crispy at all and the meat is dry. Pan fried jumbo shrimp with tomato sauce = Taste Grade C+ I will be back again for breakfast because they include a FREE drink.
This place has a big selection of food on the menu, and a lot of big tables for large parties. Very crowded! So don't go during the peak hours to avoid the long wait. Most of the drinks come with free refills which is a good deal. All the dishes we ordered were pretty good, but not the best. The egg tofu with mushrooms was a bit too sweet, and the store fried veggies was a bit oily. For the price, the flavor of food, and the crowdedness, I'll only go only when I have a big party.

Ordered: fried beef udon, pork offal congee, chicken clay pot & Hong Kong cart noodle. Our first time here around 5:30 pm and it wasn't busy at all. The food was delicious and flavorful. Food came out pretty quick. We finished everything except the chicken clay pot, this dish was just ok. Service was great, they are very nice especially the girl who helped and took our order. Would love to come back and try more dishes.
After the recent shrinkflation criticism that DFC DB has been getting, it seems they took the feedback to heart and increased the portion size for breakfast again. However, the scallion oil noodle was....too oily....like you can a thick layer of oil floating on top of the soup. Otherwise the drinks come with refills and the congee is good. Compared to the Hacienda Heights location this place still loses in terms of price.
My neighbor and I went to Delicious Food Corner in Diamond Bar twice recently, and we like to go back for breakfast. We tried their Satay Beef Instant Noodle (Comfort food in HK) with Pineapple bun in butter ($12.95). Both tasted pretty good, and the satay beef instant noodle was better than what I expected. We also ordered pork & preserved egg congee and home-style stir-fried silver pin noodle ($12.95). The congee had a lot of preserved egg inside, and the texture and taste were good. My favorite was the silver pin noodle that I haven't had in a long time. It was good that they had that option in the breakfast combo. It was delicious. The breakfast also included a drink. (Cold drinks adds $1.50 extra). I noticed their business was quieter than before, maybe because there's a lot of competition in the area between HK Macau Bistro, KW Cafe, and Hong Kong Cafe, so we tried going to different places to support them all. The service was fast and attentive, and it was much better than before.

Breakfast is good, a big bowl of porridge and a sandwich for $15 is not bad as it is good enough for 2 people. And the food is good. But for lunch, it is expensive. We ordered 3 items, plus the 2 milk teas. Our total with tax and tips came us to be $72!! I thought it was bit much. The food for lunch was just average. Nothing special. The service, though, was good. Above average for a Hongkong style cafe. The men waiters were very attentive. They catered to your requests right away.
Place is very clean. Ordered the preserved meat clay pot rice and cart noodle. Cart noodle has good portion but I chose the BBQ duck and it was just skin and bones. The clay pot rice didn't come with a sweet soy sauce that I've gotten at other places so I had to add my own since it's flavorless without. Got to go and waited a while and turns out they forgot to give it to us so it sat at the counter for a bit.
I consider the food to be good, no doubt. However, warning that the portions are small on top of the menu price being high to start with. The duck has a unique taste and the fried rice is good (it can be hard to find a good order of fried rice with that essential sauté/wok taste here) but an order of "whole duck" looked nothing like a whole duck and they have fried rice for $18- and the smallest portion/amount I have ever encountered in the US. No exaggeration. I like that they serve Hong Kong food that is not dim sum, which is difficult to find, but for these prices and sizes I personally will pass on returning. Also - don't order the Hong Kong coffee. It doesn't even taste like coffee, it tastes like nothing.
This restaurant serves the traditional Chinese dishes. Would be good for a family get-together as your parents will enjoy the old time cooking. There is plenty of parking. Prepare for Wait time at lunch. There are waiting seats which help with older folks. Dinner is less crowded. Prices are on the high side. Be prepared to spend. You will enjoy a delicious meal though, with fast waiter services.
Items are hit or miss. I would avoid the Chinese BBQ at all costs. I had the BBQ pork with rice and egg. I can't believe how uninspiring it was. It looked good, but the taste just wasn't there.

On this Saturday mid morning, when I got to the parking lot, I waited for a car to pull out. Then some stood right on the parking space and waived to their friends to park. This is not right. There was no other parking available. Luckily after 5 min or so, several group of people started leaving. Probably morning crowd finished their meals. We waited about 30 minutes and got our seat. The food was decent Cantonese food. The Pineapple bun and curry fish balls tasted good. The fish balls didn't have the bouncy texture like the ones in Hong Kong but that hard to expect in US. Other dishes like roast pork and char shui were good as well. When we were ready to leave and handed the in the credit card receipt, the waitress complained about the tip. We paid 15% pre-tip. Watiress were expecting 15% on top of the tax. How rude. Could have been a good experience but ruined by parking and staff.
I'm glad and appreciate that Diamond Bar is getting more restaurants. Especially those of Cantonese/HK type cafes so I don't have to drive far. LOL. But given my experience, I hope things get ironed out for them. I've been here twice, once as breakfast/lunch and once for dinner. Both times the service was really slow (both times they attributed to under staffed). Dinner food wasn't bad, breakfast was mediocre at best. Also sister (as a medical professional) was appalled by their communal seating arrangement since pandemic isn't really over. At dinner, the group that we shared the communal table with, got sat and ordered after us, but still managed to get their food first and was mid way through before me and my sister had to (try with quite the intensity) to get the wait staff's attention to inquire where the hell our food was. LOL. Then when we were asking, the waiter that helped us cut us off mid question with a raised hand for us to stop talking (this happened twice). Personally, I thought that was kind of rude. Water that we asked for never got served until we asked again when we were also getting our check (even the staff that took our order realized that our water never came, although I appreciate him apologizing profusely). We ordered a shrimp scrambled egg and a 3 bbq choice noodles, they got the second order wrong and it was WAY too salty. The shrimp scrambled eggs was decent though! Quite liked how the eggs were moist and soft, the shrimp wasn't overcooked (dish was $19 after tax and tip). For breakfast, I ordered their spam and egg breakfast. My partner ordered their cheung fun and HK ham and egg sandwich with a side of iced tea (this has unlimited refills). The spam and egg dish was not appetizing at all. It was served cold, and portions were tiny. Two slices of spam, an egg and a few frozen fries (you can tell by the inedible rock hard texture). The flavors were bland and it was over $15 after tax and tip. The most expensive mediocre breakfast I've ever had. The only slightly redeeming thing was their bolo bao and cheung fun, those two was served fresh and hot at least. Will I come again? I don't know. I'm really hoping for better quality breakfast from them. Especially for the prices they're charging.
After several visits I am discouraged. Using a lot of chunks of fatty parts of the meat does not make it tender. It just makes it cheap fatty meat substitute. There are items I don't order anymore because I think the quality of the dish is below standards.
I have a feeling that there must be some changes happening to this restaurant after I tried it multiple times in the last two months. This place used to be one of my favorite places to enjoy Hong Kong food. But now it's different. First, you can obviously tell that the portion of food becomes smaller than before, for instance, the "咖喱牛腩“ and ”原味肉碎饭". I'm not exactly sure if it's due to the inflation but I just figure it's even better to bump up the price than reduce the amount of food you offer to your customer. Also, the food is not as well as it was before considering its relatively high pricing. I wish the owner of the restaurant could make some improvement soon. Otherwise it may not be in my to-go list anymore.
I called to ask if the peking duck came with rice. The lady who answered the phone hung up on me. I can tell that there was a language barrier. I tried to ask as politely as I could. I tried call back a couple more times and each time the same lady would just hang up as soon as she heard me speak. The menu just simply said "peking duck $" so it was really confusing.
i ordered the walnut shrimp and it came a side of roaches. confronted the owner and got a slap to the face. i’m disgusted by this behavior and will never go back
I observed the kitchen worker was using the urinal without washing his hand on the way out! I won’t come back here! It was disgusting. Replied update: I still remembered the individual was using the restroom without washing hands before walking back to the kitchen. I hope you can identify that employee and timing for the time using the restroom then washing hands it took sometimes instead was in a hurry to get out of the restroom. PLEASE KEEP THE PUBLIC SAFE WHEN THEY DINING IN YOU ESTABLISHMENT.
So disappointed with the duck as well as the sweet and sour chicken. Duck was dry and sweet and sour chicken had no chicken just flour! Initially food was great when they first open, now they are just careless! Not ordering there anymore!!
Service is really bad. I understood how HK service in HK works(which is really rude) but here is US not HK, plus we tip the service.
Wrost place to Order Take out!!!... Ordered Sweet n Sour Chicken n there was no Chicken n mainly flour... they gave me OLD Roast Duck as well and gave us attitude why we're returning the items... smh... the food was good during the 1st week of Grand Opening... Go Figure!.... smh... it was Expected.. !
The green bean with fish cake was awful. It was undercooked, filled with fibers to the point where you could floss your teeth with it. The carrots were basically raw and weirdly soggy on the outside and crunchy on the inside. Some parts were way too salty and other parts don't have taste. This was 18 dollars, not including tax. We're definitely not going back, ever.
The price is unreasonable. The service is bad. The food is low quality. Serving tea each person per cup of $3.5, then 4 person got charged of $14, comparing to the same style cafe, where may serve tea with a teapot per table with only $1 or even each person with complimentary cup of tea. The Tofu hotpot with duck meat costs $16.50. As a main course, it was cooked more like by a housewife instead of the chef. The waitress was never shown after the order. They are lack of people. We saw the tea was ready on the serving counter for a while but nobody took it to us. You may have to serve yourself.
I never had such horrible and disrespectful service at a restaurant - and also from a chain restaurant I loved and was a loyal patron to in other cities. This is my second time at this restaurant and I'm glad to have gotten this second experience to fully write this review. My first experience had slow service but I never expected my second experience to be this low, unfair, and plain rude. Stating the facts, my parents and I came in the afternoon around 1:40 pm, specifically after the lunch rush so we can avoid the large crowds and get fast service. We were ignored for 25-30 minutes and our food wasn't even put to order in the kitchen due to incompetence. Our iced waters didn't even come out. Our order was simple. We ordered congee and a veggie dish. Two simple dishes. My dad and the waiter spoke Cantonese. Our waiter, male with dark hair and light brown highlights, suggested the fried pork dish. We respectfully declined his suggestion. He said he would put this service ticket in. My parents and I think he may have been upset we didn't take his dish suggestion and didn't see our bill as an expensive bill to give good service to. Judging by the look on the waiters face when he left, I don't think he cared much for us. We found out later he didn't even put our order in to make. It wasn't we called a woman waiter to ask if we got our order. We said we'd been waiting for a while for a simple congee and veggie dish and asked if she can check on it. She went to the kitchen and came back and said the kitchen never got the order. We were confused and shocked. Although the kitchen closed, she said she would tell the chef to put in an order for us. We pointed the guy out, standing by the kitchen service window. Again, our waiter was male with light brown highlights, heavy build with dark eyebrows. Our woman waiter apologized for our service from this guy. Our woman waiter said she would talk to him and since we didn't get our food, or even waters, we just left, disappointed and hungry. My parents are very patient and understanding people and taught me to do the same. We waited patiently for our food and talked amongst ourselves until we realized the wait we had. I never seen them both so disappointed. It makes me sad to write this since I never ever want to bring negative energy on 1 restaurant for 1 waiters mistake. 1 star reviews are harsh. This is my first 1 star review. I feel the 1 star is fair for the amount of time we wasted, the treatment we received, our hungry stomachs, and my parents disappointed looks on their faces when we left. I never felt so embarrassed for taking my parents here. I won't ever visit this restaurant again based on this experience, nor will my parents, or my family members and friends who I tell this to. I understand I am just one person and I'm not telling anyone to not visit, however, be warned of the service by that particular guy. I understand this may all be a misunderstanding at the end of day but the facts are true. We waited for 25-30 minutes, our waiter never put in our order or checked on us, we didn't even get our waters, and we left the restaurant still hungry and disappointed. I hope the owner or manager sees this review and offers better training to their employees. That's all!
Chef’s definitely changed. We ordered to go crispy short rib, XO shrimp, and bbq combo plate. All of them are terrible. Short rib is so over fried that it can shatter your teeth. Bbq combo feels like it’s been under the warmer for 3 days. And the XO shrimp were over cooked too. Too sad it’s not the same restaurant as it used to be.
The food was spoiled and smelly. I drank milk tea and didn't sleep all night. It was outrageous. My wife's stomach was still uncomfortable after eating. She showed up at a store that made her feel sick and vomited. It was a terrible store. Very bad.
When it first opened, place was legit. Not sure what happened. Prices are absolutely bonkers - $20 for the broccoli with garlic ? Standard stir fried dishes like noodles and rice very average - prob change of chef. Anyways, lower the prices at the very least. The other DFCs are better options from my experience.
Food is bad . Slalty blend and not fresh. Not coming back. These cafe all own by the same group of people and food is same. If the menus looks the same it’s the same owner. They way over charge too. Cafe should not be that expensive
The food is extremely bad, don't go. A few months ago, our family went to to celebrate mom's birthday, we ordered 6 dishes, I remembered a fish hot pot... my goodness... so fishy and the fish is extremely dead and frozen long long time, the cook made it more worse. the fish is dry, fishy, and taste the soy bean source onlyyyyyyyyy. We had the sour and sweet pork, very fatty and the pork has not taste. the pork is not fresh and tasts like nothing.....DON"T waste money and time to go there.......
