Great! The portion might be a little less than some other places BUT. The meat is excellent! Not smothered in bbq sauce you get to taste the meat itself and Lamb ribs! Never seen lamb at a bbq joint. It was so good. The coleslaw is good too.

I love introducing people to this place for the first time! It had been a while since I had been. It was great to come back to the same fantastic food and experience I remembered. The food never disappoints, there's plenty of seating, and the staff is excellent. They ran out of peach cobbler, so I opted for the cobbler they had (a-la mode, of course), and it did not disappoint. I also love the atmosphere. I knew every country song they played!

Food was good, employees friendly, busy but not too bad. Service was fast and plenty of seating available. Price for 2 almost $30 (1)2 meat n 2 sides plate,1 baked stuffed baked potato n 1 drink. Atmosphere was good, not very noisy considering it was lunch time. Would go again if I have a chance.

I ordered the chopped beef baked potato and sausage wrap. They were both mouthwatering delicious. Fresh hand dipped BLUEBELL ice cream on site. Service was completed accurately and quickly. Shiny counters and tables were cleaned and sanitized. Condiment Station clean and fully stocked. Left HAPPY and FULL.

This is one of fav BBQ spots. The staff and customers are very friendly. Be brave, say the first kind word and you will have new friends. It is the only place I will eat sausage, it is the best. The brisket is mouth watering. The cole slaw is a little sweet for my taste but most people like a sweet slaw, that is just me. You can count on me going back, again and again.

You have to stop here for some great BBQ. This place is amazing, the food is delicious and the service is great. I usually order the chopped brisket sandwich with a side and a drink. The meat is always cooked to perfection, tender, and juicy with great flavor. They have lots of side choices, like mac and cheese, beans, fries, and more. They have souvenirs and bottles of their sauces and any and all of their food to go. If you are traveling from Austin to Houston this is a must stop, you will be glad you did.

Headed home and decided to stop in for lunch. Sat-Sun the Dinosaur beef rib is the special of the day, so we had to get one, all 2 lbs worth. The brisket and stuffed sausage, as well as the Potato Salad and Mac n Cheese are on point! Glad we stopped in and as many times as we drive through Elgin we will definitely be back!

Meats and sauces were really good! Sides were just ok. Coleslaw and potato salad were pretty bland. Not as flavorful as some of the other BBQ spots around. Staff was friendly.

I may have had an off-day as my son enjoyed the lean brisket, but I found the moist brisket to be surprisingly dry. Sausage was above average, as was the potato salad and mac&cheese. The blackberry cobbler was extremely delicious, though.

This is a bit out of others’ way in Austin, but there’s three reasons why I’d choose it over Terry black’s. Wait time, prices, and lamb ribs. There’s even a drive thru! I haven’t really seen any Texas bbq that offers lamb ribs.. and beef ribs on weekends are a must. I’m horrible at taking pictures, but the pic was of 1lb lamb ribs and beef ribs ($62 total). Moist Brisket was was good but really no flavor until added middle bbq sauce. Baby ribs fell off the bone, but again not much flavor without the sauce. Beans and potato was very good.

We had the jalapeno sausage and the beef sausage. Sadly the potato salad was the highlight of the meal. There was nothing wrong with the sausage It had good texture and it was salted properly. It was just super mild. The beef may as well have just been beef with salt and pepper stuffed in a casing, and the jalapeno cheddar sausage had no flavor other than the jalapenos in the cheddar cheese. I expected a lot more from the sausage in the sausage capital of Texas. We didn't try any of the brisket or other barbecue. When we got there the brisket they were cutting looked awfully dry, but they subsequently brought out one that looked pretty good. I can only speak for the sausage which was disappointing.

We stopped in for lunch and I did the combo plate which came with brisket, sausage, and two sides. I was bummed that the brisket was dry. The sausage tasted spongey. The coleslaw and mac and cheese were the best part of the plate. I thought the bold bbq sauce had great flavor.

When we made it to the 9 to order, they were out of lot of their meets.\n They would not substitute for their family meals, even though they was out of certain meats. The service was wonderful. The service is great however, the potato salad taste it very old smoked sausage were very greasy. The turkey appeared not to be cooked all the way in the chicken is the number one thing that I will order when I return if you ask for two different scoops of ice cream, you will be charged for two different prices.

Husband called in a to-go order at 5:06 & was told it would be ready about 5:35. He went in approximately 6 pm and they did not have our food ready. We waited at least 15 minutes for them to prepare our order. The sliced brisket was dry and tough. The coleslaw was decent, not terrible but not great. Jalapeno cheese sausage was pretty good but I can't eat just that. The BBQ sauce it just awful. It tastes like straight tomato sauce with SOME seasoning. And just FYI, the food wasn't late because it was a Friday and they were busy. It's Halloween and the entire place was dead empty. Needless to say, I didn't eat. And whatever he doesn't eat, will be given to the dogs. At almost $60 for what was ordered, I am HIGHLY disappointed.
