This place is amazing, I’ve came like 4x and the food, staff, atmosphere is just great every time I come and consistent! I’ve been to other sushi places and their sushi variety and drinks are just always great! If a staff is not checking in with you, you always have the manager asking how everything is going. Great work here management ! 👏🏼

Day to Day With MJ

Yen has quickly become one of my favorite places to dine. As a fan of hibachi, I decided to give this spot a try and I was not disappointed. The steak and chicken cooked on the hibachi grill were perfect - each bite was flavorful and tender. The soup and salad were delightful starters, setting the tone for the delicious entree that followed. The service at Yen was efficient and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant is charming, with multiple rooms that offer a sense of privacy even when it's busy. This thoughtful layout adds to the overall ambiance, making each visit feel cozy and comfortable. I'm looking forward to returning to Yen soon. It's a gem of a restaurant that has earned a place in my list of go-to spots for great food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Great service and delicious food. The chef was a true entertainer - very personable and fun. For our Hibachi table, he cooked steak, chicken, salmon, shrimp and scallops! And performed fun egg and fire tricks that enthused both the kids and the adults. Even though the meat and fried rice was the heart of the meal, the salad and soup served as an appetizer was really good - the dressing is our favorite. Great for any night of the week or special occasions. Each table/grill seats up to 10 people.

Food was great and service was also. We had booked for 7:30 and there 15 minutes early with our full part. There was a delay with getting us seated as another party where there who arrived after us, also had a booking for 7:30. The server was going to seat them first till I had to say we were there prior and waiting. They still were waiting for their party to arrive. Other than that delay it was good

This was our first visit and we will most likely come back. The chef we had was very friendly and was entertaining. We did see another chef do some more interactive things with other tables but we didn’t mind. Every one has their days. The chef was very informative about telling us when he was going to do something so we could expect the fire or heat etc. The staff was very friendly. The fish at the front with the water feature is a very nice touch and is relaxing to listen to if you have to wait for a table. The prices are reasonable and we did get plenty of food. The floor was a little sticky throughout the building so that might need a a different cleaning solution or a steam. We had the steak & lobster with friend rice combo. The miso soup was delicious but did get cold a bit quick. This restaurant is very kid friendly and the menu is very extensive besides choosing hibachi.

I feel horrible only giving 3 stars- because I’d never consider eating at any place with 3 stars. The (hibachi) food was decent (nothing amazing). I took my 2 girls to hibachi for the first time ever. I was excited to bring them to the experience. Our server (an older lady) wasn’t very nice, and really rushed us the ENTIRE time. And the chef didn’t give us a great experience. All the other chefs around us were laughing and doing the whole catch things in your mouth, etc etc. But we got none of this. Like I said- it wasn’t horrible. I just had a lot higher expectations bringing my kids for the first time experience. I’m sure this was just a bad luck of the draw- seems like others were having a better experience. But maybe they should look into making sure everyone gets a good experience.

This restaurant is a mixed bag. For the most part, it's a great place to eat and take the family out to. The food is very good. It's really the service here that is a little inconsistent. Sometimes we come here and we get great service, and on some visits it's not the greatest. For example, my wife had a hot plate explode on her, probably from the hot items on it, and the fact that the plate aged and worn, the waitress, instead of getting my wife a new plate and new food, just got a new plate and scooped the exploded food on a new plate for my wife to eat. This actually happened. We had never experienced anything like it. On the same visit, the chef made me drop an entire expensive scallop when he startled me by loudly and suddenly asking me if I needed sauce. He just said "so sorry" and laughed at me. He didn't even bother cooking me the extra scallop he made me drop. The drinks, soups, and salads took a really long time to come out on our visit yesterday. We got no discount or reimbursement for the exploded food. We probably won't be back here. No one here even tried to make our bad experience better. 3 stars.

Sushi was terrible, tuna and salmon were not fresh at all. My Ocean Roll was supposed to be soft shell crab and instead it had shrimp in it. Will never come here again. Very poor quality!!!

We went here only to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it was a huge disappointment. We called ahead and specifically asked about bringing a cake, but they never brought it. My daughter’s sushi arrived very late, and nobody seemed to care. The staff kept saying they were understaffed, but that’s not an excuse for no water refills and almost no service at all. On top of that, the staff was very rude and unprofessional. To make things worse, we found paper inside the ice cream, which is completely unacceptable. Overall, the service and experience were extremely bad. Do not go here, especially if you’re planning a special occasion.

The only reason I'll give this place a star is because of our server Sophia's excellent service. It was my kids bday and long story short we had a ROACH on our table. The manager pretty much states there was no way of controlling them and I had to actually ASK for some type of discount!

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant. My younger sister was served undercooked steak that was clearly raw in the center, as seen in the photo attached. She ordered the steak medium rare. This was far beyond acceptable cold, chewy, and unsafe. When I had made the server aware of the situation he told me that the steak was not raw. I then asked to speak to a manager she came over, I told her the situation and she offered for more steak to be made. At this point we had lost our appetite, I politely asked for a discount which would usually be graciously offered in this scenario. She proceeded to roll her eyes at me and told me she would apply 10% to the kids meal my sister. Which took three dollars off the meal. What made this experience even worse was the staff’s complete lack of accountability. When I brought it to their attention, there was no apology, and no concern for my health or satisfaction. Just an eye roll and a dismissive attitude. I had always loved coming to YEN for birthday celebrations or a simple sushi night, that won’t be the case anymore. Serving food in this condition is bad enough, but refusing to take responsibility? That’s unacceptable. I won’t be coming back, and I’d advise others to think twice before dining here.

I'm so glad we had a gift card because I will never eat at this place on my dime. Let's start with a very sticky table followed by a disgusting paper menu. Water condensation kept dripping from the drinking glasses rolling across the entire table. Not once did the waitress clean the table. Couldn't taste the difference from one fish to another on the sashimi or the rolls. My husband had different rolls. All were way below average. The rolls were too large, couldn't stay close, uneven, and so sloppy. Took home leftovers that we simply trashed.
