This is a new Starbucks in Giddings TX! Very clean, great cozy , comfortable chairs, large tables , charging stations. 2 family restrooms. Lots of extras to buy.
They have good drinks and light food. I feel like they are a little overpriced. This starbucks is hit and miss on the kindness you will get when you go in.... it all depends on who is working.
I stopped here yesterday on my way from Houston to Round Rock. I went inside because my truck camper is too tall for the drive-thru. It was not crowded at all--I walked straight up to the counter. I ordered a Venti Iced Coffee and a cheese danish. The coffee was ready in a reasonable amount of time, but then I waited and waited and waited some more for my cheese danish. I was standing right there at the counter but no one asked me what I needed for quite some time. Finally, the employee working about 3 feet away from me asked if I was waiting for something. I told her I still needed my cheese danish. She told me it would be ready shortly, but didn't do anything to make that happen. Finally, after 4 or 5 more minutes had passed I spoke to the same employee, "I don't mean to be rude, but what has happened to my cheese danish?" She answered brusquely, "I'm not responsible for that. The guy back there is responsible for the drive-thru and food items. I'm not responsible for it." Maybe she was having a bad day, but I don't think I've ever been spoken to so rudely by a Starbucks employee, and I have been patronizing them since 1997.
This feedback is from 29 November 2025. The place was packed both inside and out. The line outside go around the building and the lobby was packed. The work environment immediately felt toxic, we were able to see the employees frustration. Then realized the manager was squatting behind the counter, once stand up moved to the back where she stayed there some easy 5 minutes. One of the drive through employees apologized to us and let us know someone would be with us shortly. The manager, decided to come back from whatever she was doing, took our order and disappeared again leaving 3 other customers that walk in right after us. Some of those customers were still waiting for their order to be taken as we were walking out with our orders. It is understandable that the store was short staffed, it was a Saturday and most people were traveling from the Holidays. However, in my opinion… this was the worst service we ever received BUT from The Manager. I have worked as manager before and it doesn’t matter if it is end of the month, end of shift, or if any inventory is needed; Customer Service AND EMPLOYEES support should be #1. I can understand why the environment felt toxic and why some employees looked frustrated. In my opinion, The Manager should have done a better job, Period.
Drink was 12 minutes later than app said plus I ordered a baked good. Got there and they were out and said they haven't updated their app on that item. They would not credit me, said I have to call Starbucks. Took me over an hour to get refund over phone. Never again!
I asked a simple question to an employee about whether or not an item they sold had cheese in it. Since it wasn’t stated on the menu. One employee was gracious and just said “I don’t know” but was looking it up. A second snarky employee said “you can google it” I found this extremely rude and unnecessary. Was this a difficult question? I assumed their products had an allergen list readily available to employees so they didn’t need to look it up on their phones, or make me feel stupid for daring to ask what I thought was a simple question?
I have gone to this Starbucks for a few years now. It's always been great until recently. The drink prep has gone way down in the last two weeks to a month. My drinks come with pure milk, cold foam or flavored drizzle with a splash of coffee. I keep hoping it changes but it hasn't. I started ordering a cold brew coffee with a 1/4 splash of half and half to hopefully remedy this issue myself, to no avail. I instead received, yet again, a drink with all half and half and a splash of coffee. It's unfortunate that this is the only coffee shop in town. I really hope they fix this. As far as the employees, they're amazing! They're all very nice. It's just the drinks that are the issue.
At times I dread stopping at this Starbucks due to the customer service. The staff aren’t as friendly. I’m went through the drive thru and asked were there any brownies available? The guy responded “yes why”? All I could do was laugh and respond “umm because I want it” this has been the 3rd time I stop when traveling home to Houston but this will for sure be my last. Customer service is something this Starbucks definitely lack
I live in Giddings so this is my Starbucks location. I will not be visiting again. Seems like every time I order my coffee(i have about 3/4 different ones I order) i have a real bad stomach problem. I will not leave the house. I have had the same coffees at others locations with no stomach issues. I have even ordered out of state with no issues. My daughter visited during thanksgiving and she had the same symptoms. Maybe a dirty location? Bad ingredients? Not sure, but after years of ordering at the Giddings location I will no longer be a customer here. I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but happened again today. So sad that I have a Starbucks so close but not at the level of other locations.
Tierra was soooooooo rude. My drink was made incorrectly and I asked for her to remake it. She told me that whoever has been making it makes it wrong. I get the same drink every day. She said well they make it wrong every day. She put all the syrup in the bottom of the cup. The drink was disgusting. I have never had someone get upset when asked to remake a drink. I was issued a refund. Worst service ever. I would have called to asked to speak with a manager but there was no number listed on my receipt.
Ana, working the drive thru, has horrible customer service skills. I’ve been in the industry for quite some time and I am astounded with her poor attitude, and overall demeanor. I simply asked to wait under the shade so that I and the other workers would not get soaked from the rain, which was too difficult of a request. There was no one else in line as well, so it wasn’t like I was holding up the line. Please do better, as this makes all Starbucks and service workers look bad.
We stopped on our way from Austin to Katy here. The service was ridiculously poor and the employee (Ana) who took our order was rude and was not willing to listen to our order. It was 9am in the morning and the store wasn't crowded too. I clearly mentioned I needed two orders of tall cappuccinos and one order of a small cappuccino. If I wasn't audible, she could've requested me to repeat the order. Instead, she got so worked up, walked towards the cups, snatched two sizes and yelled at me to confirm the sizes. I have been a frequent Starbucks customer for the past 7 years but never have I experienced such unprofessional behavior.
If there is an option to give negative rating, i’d do that.. we ordered 3 cappuccino and they gave 2 milk and 1 coffee with only 4 sips in each cup. The worst experience! The bad starbucks i had ever experienced in the entire world. Waste of $$
This was the dirtiest Starbucks I have ever been to. They need to shut it down. There was no food in the case, there were bugs in the bathroom, and overall smelly. My gut told me to walk out but I figured “How can anyone mess up an iced mocha?” Guess what, they can. I took a sip while in the store and it tasted strange and creepy. I wasn’t sure if I should ask for another one and just hoped it would get better but it didn’t. I pulled over and tossed it a few miles down the road. I read another review which had a similar experience with a mocha. I wish I would have read that before ordering. Waste of $.
Disappointing Experience: I recently had a regrettable experience with the Starbucks mobile order drive through during my journey from Houston to Austin. I ordered a mocha through the Starbucks app, and to my dismay, the drink I received was far from what I expected. In the dimly lit environment, I took the first sip and immediately noticed an unusual taste – more reminiscent of vegetable oil than the rich, comforting flavor of coffee. Unable to continue drinking, I set it aside until I could examine it more closely at home. Upon reaching home, I was shocked to discover a disturbing top layer of oil/fat, I don’t know what it is. A visual comparison, as shown in the attached picture, highlights the stark contrast between the expected mocha and the disappointing concoction that was handed to me. This experience has left me questioning the quality control within the Starbucks mobile ordering system, and I hope the company takes steps to address such lapses in the future. As a loyal Starbucks customer, I believe it's crucial for them to maintain the standards that have made them a trusted name in the coffee industry.
