I had the turkey combo and my husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak, that was about the size of the plate! Sorry no pictures we were starving and didn't remember to shoot one. Nonetheless the comfort food here never disappoints.

I love Luby's!!! I grew up eating there every Sunday before going to church. I dont visit as often anymore, but that has to do with how prices have gone up. When I have been able to go, food has been excellent. Prices will keep me away though.

I've been going to Luby's since I was a kid and I have not been disappointed. The chicken fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, sliced Turkey, everything is good. My wife likes the fish as well. Service is always a delight so that is a plus.

I went to lubys for dinner and got the fish and tartar sauce. It was delicious. It's always hard to pick when everything looks so good. The parking was ample, and the restaurant was clean. I also enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. I love that they have huge windows and can look at the surrounding nature. The waiters were great, too. The restrooms were clean.

After 5 visits to this location, maybe a little more, I'm not sure, I can honestly say that this is my favorite Luby's. It's always clean, and the food never tastes old or overcooked. It's honestly a good place to have right down the road. I used to think that maybe the clientele for this restaurant was older people, and maybe I'm just getting old, but it's pretty dang good. The chicken fried chicken always slaps, and my wife loves the fried fish. Such a good place to munch and not have to worry about waiting for your order to come out. I saw some people bring in a cake yesterday and have a nice little get together. Can't have that just anywhere. People of all ages. 5 stars mang!

I had a great experience here... as usual. The person helping our table went out of her way to be sure I had a freshly cooked piece of meat. The service and the food are always on point. I have been a Lubys girl my entire life and will continue to be one!

2:30 pm and some of the food was cold. Service was very good. Watch what they charge for as we were charged for an extra drink when it was water. It was corrected but shouldn't have happend. Waitress was on top of refills and place was clean and inviting. Would come back.

Food certainly tasted better today than usual, but that doesn't mean my past experiences have been negative by any measure. Been coming here near a decade, and while I was devasted their salad bar was downgraded after COVID, I've continued enjoying all my experiences at this establishment.

My family and I go to lubys every Saturday we are a pretty large group as business owners we love the service there. Yesterday we went n ms jenn was so friendly always helpful and inviting we know she has been there for awhile she used to be our favorite waitress. We have offered her opportunity with us but she always politely declined. She is definitely leader material would be a shame for lubys to lose her. Good basic American food bakes fresh daily. Portions are ample for us, but have heard some who feel it is small for the price. It is all a matter of judgement and how much you eat. Service is usually good, but a customer who cannot make up their mind can bring the line to a halt. Overall, this place is clean with good food. What else can you want.

Good customer service. Hot fresh baked Fish. Chicken tenders and fried chicken were on point! The refreshing salads were really good too! The desert's we're delicious as well!

We went in for dessert the pecan pie inside was gooey very sticky the crust was like a piece of cardboard. The pecan pie was what we exchanged it for the original pie we got was what we thought was coconut cream but instead it was some buttermilk concoction, they couldn’t tell us the name of the dessert. The coffee was great the sweet potatoes were great too.

Went to pickup Thanksgiving dinners the food was excellent but the app was down for orders and their order taking and tracking was not well thought out which is disappointing considering long lubys has been around should have it down to a art by know. The employees were working as well as possible just no plan.

Food was good and service was friendly, but explain to me why the lady charging asks me how much money I want back to leave my waitress before I've even met the waitress when I'm paying with a debit. I know they want to make sure you have cash to leave on the table, but I think that's unprofessional. They should just charge by the door AFTER you've eaten and been served by the waitress.

The food was okay. Large portions for decent prices. This location was pretty out of date. The ceiling had a lot of water damage and the floor was somewhat worn out. My daughter ordered stuffed salmon and said it was really good. Dad was happy with his chicken fried chicken. I got grilled tilapia and it was ok but needed more seasoning. My grandma got spaghetti and said it tasted bad. The jalapeño cornbread was good but not hot. The macaroni was also good but not hot. The mashed potatoes were not very tasty. I was happy with my spinach salad that had crumbled cheese, strawberries and raspberry vinegar salad dressing. The waitress was not very attentive but they seem short on staff.

Food was pretty amazing! I hadn’t been in many years but it was better than I was expecting! Service could use a little work if they expect tips. I don’t mind filling up my glass myself but I saw other tables getting theirs picked up by staff and refilled. So i wasn’t sure if I was supposed to tip or not.

Luby's has fallen from its best, a decade ago - but where else can you get actual vegetables with your meal?? Also, the Luanne platter is a great value, lunch or dinner. Don't go late; the food is best during the early hours of each service

My family and I have been going to Luby's for more than 30 years and I can't remember ever having a bad experience. Sometimes you just want a home-cooked style meal without all the fuss. This is the place to fill that need.

It seems like forever but Luby's has always been the best cafeteria food ever! We grew up going to Luby's after church every Sunday. I miss the one on Dixieland. Always amazing service. Just recently I visited the only one in Harlingen, as I was in line, excited about my lunch, an elderly man was in line in front of me. He asked the young man for a soup spoon, the young man responded very rudely. I felt bad and spoke up letting the young man know this customer was asking for a soup spoon. He must have mistaken what the customer wanted, but still no reason to respond that way!

I will always love Luby's. I have eaten at these establishments all my 50 some odd years. They are my comfort zone. In the hundreds, probably more, times I have eaten at any Luby's , I can count on one hand the times I didn't like any part of the meal. Now this particular Luby's is a bit old, certainly not unclean, but obviously in need of a revamp. The food is absolutely above average, even for a Luby's. The service is not the greatest, but post-covid it's harder to find great service. I highly recommend.

The lady explained that they were having issues keeping the cheese melted....well, then don't offer it. I had enchiladas and there was so much sauce that I couldn't taste the tortilla! Also, I had a chocolate cream pie that had condensation at the bottom which had been absorbed by the crust making it soft and unappetizing. The service was good however.

All food was cold. Sausage was not good. Bacon the same. Scrambled eggs quite cold. I would not recommend this to anyone. Coffee and cinnamon rolls were good. It cost me $23.00 + for this not so hot experience. Cold day in hell before I return!

The food was not as good as it has been before. Went to the restroom. Two stalls were really dirty. The third had no toilet paper. Had to get some from the other stall. There was a waiter & a waitress that passed by our table several times. My husband & I were there for over 30 minutes. No one ever came to our table to acknowledge us. The waiter did go several times to the table that was near us. Never got our straws for our drinks (the lady that you pay said you get the straws from your waiter). The manager here is disturbing. Telling employees to beat a stray dog with a metal pole if it came back on the property?! After A customer gave the starving dog water outside and the "manager" proceeded to chase the dog off scaring it, and dumped the water. You are a disgrace sir. Pathetic excuse for a human!

All I can say is that I've been there once and about midway into my meal I found a fly under a cucumber inside the cucumber salad. I brought it to their attention and I was told that they would notify the manager...

Haven't been here in a couple of years and let me just say NEVER AGAIN. Quality has gone down significantly. Fried fish was very dry and with a very hard batter. So hard it could break teeth. Sever was very helpful but the food is not worth the price. Yams don't have any glaze or marshmallows like before, just dried yams with a sprinkle of pecans. Also, they managed to make the atmosphere dull by painting the walls red. Goodbye Lubys. You were great many years ago but Lubys is officially done in my book.

On December 9th I took my son for the first time to Luby’s. Food was great! My son loved it. We were there probably about 40 minutes and no one ever approached our table. All the waitresses would pass by our table to attend other tables but no one went to our table. I would’ve understand if the restaurant was packed but there was very few people dining in. My son needed a refill so I just gave him my drink instead. I was very disappointed. I’ve been to Luby’s many times in Weslaco and we never had this issue.

Nothing about it looked appetizing but since we had ordered it to go, we had no idea until we had gotten home because of how the Harlingen location of Luby's is set up for take out.

Even though the food was ok the service was terrible. They ran out of Chicken fried steaks on the line and told us it would only take 6 minutes to get fresh ones out. My husband ordered it along with the side vegetables. Well more than 12 minutes go by and no Chicken fried steak so we ask about it and server says 7 more minutes! By that time all his sides were cold and still no entrée. We just asked for our money back and will never return to this location. Poor management and bad service. Never got drink refills or Tabasco.

I liked the dining area open and pleasant but the liver was awful it was cold when I got it from the line the flavor was bland. Won’t ever order liver from luby’s ever. Had the liver recooked and browned it didn’t help tried to drown it with steak sauce. It still sucked. Golden Corral liver is much better flavor in Golden Corral liver is superior. Please cook your cabbage thoroughly. Won’t order that again. Luby’s is supposed to be a classic home cooked style place. Maybe something happened hopefully it’s better next time. Wish you remove the smelly carpet the bathroom was clean not like the ones in McAllen
