Went to the Tasty Munch this past Friday for their soft opening for lunch. It has an inviting diner feel and look.The staff was very welcoming and friendly. I had the pancakes with eggs and bacon and potatoes which all were delicious. The fruit platter of watermelon, pineapple, antelope and orange slices were fresh and tasty. The eggs Benedict my husband had he was was very good. Overall is was a good experience with good food. Very family friendly atmosphere right off the I-10 highway is a good location.

This restaurant has been open for several months and I kept meaning to drop in, but just never got around to it until today. My husband and three other men had breakfast there this morning and my husband reported to me that the food was fresh and very good, so I decided this was the day for my lunch adventure Ordered a deli sandwich with fruit, which came out promptly and was as delicious as it looked. The sandwich was loaded, and the fresh fruit consisted of watermelon, cantaloupe, blueberries and strawberries. Almost too much to eat, but I managed and walked out very happy. Excellent service.

Originally I was on my way to Starbucks when I found this hidden gem. When I tell you my mood went from great to better after dining here. The food was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend coming here over IHOP or Dennys. We ordered the Moco Loco and stuffed French toast and they were absolutely amazing. The Hibiscus tea was made fresh upon ordering. Great atmosphere, great customer service overall great service. I will definitely be returning to this spot whenever I am in the area! 10/10

We were looking for a different restaurant to have breakfast after church. We are so happy that we tried out Tasty Munch! They have been open for almost one year, May 2024. It is a family owned and operated breakfast/lunch restaurant. The menu is extensive - they made a point to try to appeal to many different tastes. The food is very fresh and the servings are large. The fruit tasted like it had all just been picked, perfectly ripe! The avocado on my omelette was beautiful, and again ripened to perfection. The presentation of our breakfast entrees resembled a fine dining establishment. We will definitely return to Tasty Munch!

Just tried Tasty Munch and it was absolutely amazing! The food is great. And the crepes are the highlight no doubt, they’re filled with just the right amount of ingredients. It’s all a little pricey but definitely worth it. Definitely will be coming again :)

Place is set open on Memorial Day, walked in during training but they still served us. Good service, tasty food. Opted for a classic breakfast and a skillet over a bed of potatoes. Great neighborhood diner, Service was great, I’ll come back again for the official opening.

Just stumbled on this establishment during a trip to Houston and we are sure glad we opted for this instead of the next door S’bucks. The decor was throwback booths, the service from our server on down was outstanding and our breakfast was great, filling and tasty. Oh and about our server, Marlena was so so friendly, not just with us, but every table she interacted with, the world needs more Marlena’s!

The staff were very nice and friendly. There was no wait time to be seated. Once we ordered our food, it was ready in about 15-20 minutes. The food was very, very good. I will definitely be back. This may be my new weekend breakfast spot.

This is probably the best burger I’ve ever had. I asked for a side of fruit and look at what they gave me! It was amazing! Definitely will go back.

The food was great but the way it was served was inconvenient. My crepe came on top of a salad which wilted the salad and made the crepe hard to cut. My girlfriend’s stuffed French toast came on a small plate, making it hard to cut without pieces falling off.

I had one of their new burgers and it was the best I've had in a very long time. Again everything was fresh, and the service was great.

I found myself walking early in the morning, looking for a place to have breakfast while my car was being serviced nearby. I walked randomly and found a couple of options. I decided to choose Tasty Munch and I am so grateful I did! I have considerable dietary restrictions and I was happy to find not only a nice atmosphere, but their willingness to accommodate the food to my particular needs. My breakfast was delicious and well prepared. These are really kind people, authentically happy to serve their guests and making them feel welcome and appreciated. Five stars in all possible aspects! :)

Tried Tasty Munch for breakfast. Food was flavorful and good, and the service was friendly, though they've only been open for 2 weeks and it was obvious that they're still finding their feet. Any problems we had were quickly rectified though and we were overall happy with the experience.

Staff is very friendly. I'm only rating the breakfast food. Very basic and over priced. Home style potatoes are basic frozen cubed potatoes thrown in a deep fryer. The bacon is bottom of the line. Wasn't horrible but for the price, it's very unimpressive.

Nothing special. Food was good not great. Very basic items for breakfast. We had the "Yall Omelet" with panacake and Classic Benedict with potatoes. Omelet could be a littler fluffier and panacake was basic. Benedict had a lot of Hollandaise sauce if you like it that way but had a good taste. Potatoes need to be crisper for my preference. If they added some onion and/or bellpepper to them would make them stand out a little more. Coffee was ok. They need to improve their coffee. As a breakfast place the coffee should be really good with more options such as Lattes or different roast. Having real heavy cream or half/half goes a long way than having the prepackaged creamers. Decor and tables are from the old diner that was there previously. Service was very friendly.

This place offers small portions of very basic mediocre food, at prices a good bit higher than all their competitors around. I don't mind paying higher for food worth getting, but this was just a small step above nursing home cafeteria breakfast. The food was not over or under cooked. These people arent trying yet. It just seems like the property owner is filling the space until a serious tenant comes looking.

Not sure who exactly is leaving this place rave reviews. The food is just... not good. Basic Sysco/Frozen foods at a ~$15/plate cost. Another review mentioned this is on par with cafeteria food and I think that is pretty accurate... I give this place 3 months until they close up shop.

This place was better when it was Avalon Diner. The biscuits and gravy taste like paper. No salt or flavor whatsoever. The scrambled eggs were hard, more so fried than scrambled. The sausage was good. The food took forever to come out and we had to wait ten minutes on syrup. The staff is friendly though. Just wish the menu was better. My daughter liked the mouse pan cake.

This place faces up nice. Cool vibe when you walk in and was very clean.I was told it’s somewhat of a family business so I wanted to give it a shot just based on that. I will say, the service while VERY nice was slow. Price points were a little high for what they were serving but hey, everybody’s got to make money. When the food finally hit the table my poached eggs were hard as a rock. Either they were overcooked or sat under the heat on the line for too long, either way that was a bummer. I chose not to bring it up to them because I was starving and did not wait to wait another 25 min for another plate of what was still eatable food. Bottom line, I’ll probably give it another shot but make sure to let them know I don’t want to eat hard boiled eggs on my Benedict again. Food for thought to the cooks (no pun intended)

Honestly I thought this place looked cool at first. Then I looked at the menu, extremely limited, I mean the food amount compared to the price is ridiculous. The kids menu is no better. All there items come with only 1 thing. 1 small pancake, 1 piece of meat and 1 small drink. I'm not really sure what child can get full off of a very small amount. Ihop has better portions for smaller prices. This was a mistake for breakfast/lunch absolutely. Never again.

My wife and I decided to eat breakfast there on a Sunday morning. There was only one other table. The waiter took our order and then decided to sit down and visit with the other people while we staring at our food sitting ready to be served for over 10 minutes when I got to the table, it was cold. He said that there was nothing he could do about it. We will never go back.

Food was decent enough, however the server I got was pretty weird towards me. I was supposed to meet my friend there but I arrived before him. It was fine at first when I got there but when my friend got there I noticed I was receiving different service from him. When I got there, I asked for coffee and was given my coffee with nothing else. I had to flag someone down for cream and sugar and I was given those cheap little cups of half n half. When my friend got there, he ordered coffee as well and they brought him a small pitcher of creamer with sugar without him asking. I paid it no mind, it was just creamer. when it came to ordering food, I was asked what I wanted. When I answered I got a simple ‘okay’. When my friend was asked what he wanted, the server confirmed his order to make sure it was right, she gave him options for his order that wasn’t given to me— she was actually paying attention to him. I thought it was a bit odd but, again, I shrugged it off. Then when it came to pay, she put the check down in front of him, turned to him and asked him how the food was, asked if he needed anything else, held conversation with him and didn’t acknowledge me at all. It got to a point that even my friend noticed she was behaving rudely towards me. I am black and my friend is white so I’m not sure if it was casual racism or what but it was absolutely inappropriate behavior. I thought I’d found a nice spot to take my wife for breakfast occasionally but I’m never going back there and if you’re a person who wants to be treated the way you treat others regardless of race, I wouldn’t go there.
