If you’re looking for a more laid back/quiet coffee shop this is your place. They have self service machines which is great because they have a lot of options to choose from. Employees were sweet and working hard. I tried their Angeleno latte which was really nice. I did add a horchata cold foam. Paid $10 for a large plus tip which isn’t bad. Did not get a chance to try the pastries but they look good. Overall coffee taste great. Does not taste burnt or anything and the place is really clean.
Yay they’re finally open!! We’ve been watching and waiting for months - and today is their soft opening (5/9/25)! We happened to catch it as we were grabbing dinner next door - their coffee is delicious and their pastries are huge. Being in their soft opening, they’re still putting things together - but the staff let me know that most of their menu is up and running. Hubby opted for the Horchata Latte (hot). I had a sip or two and it was really nice - mild cinnamon flavor along with their buttery smooth coffee - and not too sweet which we loved. I was so excited to see they have a S’mores Latte - definitely had to try that since I’m obsessed with anything marshmallow and it did not disappoint! Their coffee is so smooth paired with the marshmallow syrup - and they top it with a chocolate cold foam - heaven in a cup!! Not overly sweet and a great flavor balance. I’ll definitely be getting this again. They have a large pastry case so we had to grab a few pastries to sample - a chocolate croissant (always a fave), turtle brownie, and a giant blueberry bear claw!! So far I’ve had a little nibble of the brownie and the bear claw and yessss!! They are so good - especially the blueberry bear claw with its lovely blueberry jam filling and almonds on top! Excellent! The staff were so friendly and welcoming - you can tell they’re excited to be here and finally be open! One of the staff was even hand-painting the cute bears on the wall to go with the Monrovia town theme - beautiful art - Impressive! They’re located in the plaza with the Vons and Baskin Robbin’s right at the entrance to Old Town with plenty of parking. Prices are pretty standard for the area. It’s a perfect location and we had a great first experience- we’ll definitely be back. San Fernando Coffee Co is a local chain that’s expanding and we’re excited to have them- Welcome to Monrovia!
I really like the coffee here! The inside is plentiful in outlets to charge your devices and the music and art are hella nice, shout out their interior decorater
I absolutely love their vanilla dirty chai. So delicious and always gets me in such an energetic mood. I love everyone at SF coffee company, especially Aliyah, she makes the best drinks & always has the greatest attitude. I truly recommend.
Excellent Valley Girl beverage & incredible team, friendly atmosphere. This family run establishment is a #SGV winner 🥇 thanks for the sweet treat it was yummy • £👀king forward to jams🪇🔜 #JacksonOctober & #Friends
Delicious fresh food, prepared when ordered and arrived steamy hot. Avocado was fresh too. Drinks mixed just right for coffee and teas. Friendly cashier and server, all done with smiles.
Perfect blend of food, pastries and refreshers everything is hand crafted and staff makes you feel at home. 10 out of 10 the atmosphere is chill and friendly.
I loved coming here, everyone is so nice especially Ricardo! They were so helpful and service was amazing! We got the horchata de olla and pumpkin spice latte and it was so yummy

Aliyah is such a joy to greet my every new morning! Her customer service is consistent. Coffee is my greatest pleasure all day , every day. ! My drink is not that complicated to produce; but it has been made incorrectly an astounding number of times. She manages to knock it out of the park consistently just the way I like it! Another thing I really appreciate about her is not only her good manors with the customers; but also with other employees.
This spot feels like a community hub. I go in and people already know my name. The atmosphere is bright and friendly, often busy but never chaotic. Highly recommend the baked goods the blueberry streusel muffin is 🔥.
The Mexican mocha is great, and doesn’t have too much of that bitter coffee taste. I also love that they offer chocolate cold foam! I also got a breakfast English muffin, which was very good! The service was quick and the employees were very kind. The cafe was clean and they had lots of seating. This would definitely be a great place to study or have meetings. The prices were about the same as Starbucks, maybe even a little cheaper. The taste and quality was much better. I’ll definitely choose this over Starbucks when I can from now on. The only thing I didn’t love was that they only use a kiosk for ordering- it feels very impersonal. BUT, I know this is what many stores are transitioning to, and it’s not the biggest deal. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place to others! It was a good experience. I hope they are able to stay afloat with all of the other coffee shops around.
Holy jeeeezz. One of the better burritos I have had in a while. What a great start to a morning with a horchata de olla coffee and a California Burrito. Salsa is a must with this burrito. Already recommending others and so eagered to come back.

A charming spot that truly captures the essence of Mexico. The Mexican bread is simply outstanding—fresh, soft, and with that authentic flavor that reminds you of a traditional bakery. The service is warm and genuine, and you can feel the hospitality from the very first moment. It’s one of those places you’ll want to come back to again and again, not only for the quality of what they serve but also because everything feels made with love and authenticity. 🌟 100% recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy great coffee paired with the best Mexican bread.
Tried the mocha latte with strawberry foam, tasty but expensive. $7.25+1 for large+60 cents for oat milk+tax=$10 for a drink. Large and spacious, ac is blaring if u don't like that. Open til 6pm tho.
San Fernando Coffee co. (est 2025) is a brand new coffee shop in old town Monrovia. They have one other location in SFV-Sylmar which I have visited a few months ago. I’m ebullient that they have one here in SGV. This coffee branch is located in a large plaza. We came here on a late afternoon to check-it out. Its indoor was very clean and spacious with abundant of natural light. Moreover, interior decor was cute especially the huge bear mural with myrtle street quintessential to Monrovia. Anyways, they have three kiosks at the counter. They have a plethora of drinks, dessert and pastry items. We got a classic lemonade to cool down on a warm Sunday and a Strawberry Nutella Crepe. Both were just okay. Service was on point. Prices were economically fair. Plenty of parking. Atmosphere was relaxing. Overall, it’s a good addition to a very limited coffee shop (Hideout Coffee) being the on Myrtle avenue.
Nice little coffee shop with baked goods. I ordered the matcha with strawberry cold foam. It was the perfect amount of sweetness! I can’t wait to try their other drinks.

Great coffee and a nice atmosphere! I think it would be an even better experience if they offered fresh pastries each morning instead of ones from the day before. It would take the quality to the next level. Still a good spot overall.

The drink I ordered was average. I wanted to sit down and relax but, I had to leave because it was so darn cold in there. Maybe if it were warmer it would feel more welcoming.
The hours of this place are great. There aren't many coffee places close by open this late. The environment is a bit bland overall. Not really a cozy coffee shop vibe, but more of a bland order from a kiosk type of vibe. I had a cappuccino which I would give a 6/10. They don't carry whole milk and the foam was too airy for a cappuccino. The chocolate croissant I would give a 7/10. Definitely ask them to warm it up. I have not yet tried their meals, which I would go back and try, though I think there are other places with better coffee close by which is really my number 1 draw for visiting a place like this.

We tried several pastries plus a cookie. Over $6 for each pastry, not even warmed. It wasn't great. The staff gave no greeting or attention until we finally were able to find someone. Our first and last time we will be there. So many other options for the area with better price point and flavor of the food and great staff. Very disappointed.
Came here to get a quick coffee before work but 10 minutes later the employee hadn’t started my drink. With only one person ahead of me and a long line I don’t understand why the second employee couldn’t stop washing strawberries to help with orders. I had to tell the cashier to refund my order and I was still late to work. Update: i never got my refund so i am assuming the cashier never did it so i paid 8 dollars for a coffee i never received. definitely would not recommend

Service is terrible, we came in and ordered just drinks and had to wait forever for them. They put our order behind all the people who came after us. Don’t go! I do appreciate the response to the review and I do understand how busy it can be in the morning ordering coffee, however, I ordered drinks on a holiday at 3pm, not really a time when following chronological order of drinks can be difficult. As they were also 3 people behind the registers taking while 1 person was making drinks. I know you’re a new business and I hope this helps you in maintaining customer orders as they are ordered. I do wish you the best.
