This place is fantastic. Off the beaten path, but so worth the find. Tried a variety of dishes and everything was really good. The sampler was enough to feed two people and offers up a bunch of goodies. Homemade corn and flour tortillas only make it better. Cheese enchiladas and flank steak tasted as good as I've had. Find this place away from river walk.
Breakfast was great. We all had various tacos and were happy with the taste and serving size. We will be back!
Really good Caldo De Res and my girlfriend got the delicious Menudo! Service was prompt with our waitress Marcella. She was very polite, pleasant and cheerful! Thank you for great customer service and homemade authentic Mexican food ❣️ Our new favorite spot! We took the pics a little after eating since it was really good and forgot to take initial pics 😁
This has been enough to make me stop while into San Antonio since I discovered them. That puffy taco they've got is amazing... so good I can't beleave after 10yrs(that I've known about) that its not more widely copied. When they were a tiny hole in the wall restaurant, the line would extend down the block.. now that it's significantly larger, most have seating. The margaritas are strong, and the large is a 2 hand drink. They've got this figured out. If you're in the area, you should check them out.
Great tacos, easy to get in and out for it lunch and they’re always polite! I recommend their to go Carne Asada tacos.
It was day 2 of my Christmas SA visit and I was craving some breakfast tacos. I decided to try Pete’s after reading the reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Ordered a plate of the migas which were perfectly crispy and a machacado taco - awesome! Let me also add that their flour tortillas are excellent.
madison was my waitress today . and she is the bomb . so sweet and patient and willing to get anything we asked .she made my experience one that i would go back for ! the kitchen staff did a great job ! the food was fresh and quick !!
Excellent to-go service Jump in and out Quick. Good prices for downtown area. Great tortillas and hot sauce. I'll be coming back for more. Thank you for all your hard work
We got the steak and eggs, menudo as well as quite a few tacos (not pictured) everything about the steak and eggs were so well seasoned and perfectly cooked! Very impressive! Order that and you won’t regret it! The other dishes were also really good but we loved the steak and eggs most!
*UPDATE* 12/8/19 Just as good as last time! Just amazing tacos! I talked this place up to my sister and her husband so I was hoping it didn't fall short of the hype. It didn't. The place was packed at 1:30pm on a Sunday, they were closing at 3pm. Even with a lobby full of people waiting, we only waited 20 minutes. The tables turn over fast as it doesn't take long to eat tacos. Speaking of... The Barbacoa was fabulous, the Chicharron and Egg, Fish, and Potato and Chorizo tacos were absolutely delicious as well. My brother-in-law swooned over the Barbacoa breakfast plate. My wife had the Menudo again, and said it was still one of best bites of the trip. Fresh tortillas. Just go! It is just a quick 2 minute walk from the Go Rio Shuttle stop 9 or 10 by Brooklyn Ave. Thanks for being consistent! Will always stop in when visiting San Antonio!! Hands down the best eats we have had on our visit to San Antonio so far! The tortillas are amazing! Menudo, Takos, breakfast, eat it all!
We were in SA for a Christian Worship concert. It was our first time eating here with some friends that highly recommended Pete's Tako House. They did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and the service was great as well. I had the Chile Relleno plate and a soft taco. SO GOOD!! A bonus... we had our little Chiweenie with us, and they have a pet friendly patio. They made sure Maggie had plenty of cold water the entire time. 😊🫶
We were looking for our last stop breakfast meal on our way out of San Antonio. We are so glad we found this spot. It was definitely the perfect breakfast! Machacado was excellent and the migas was perfect. Coffee was really good too. Their flour tortillas are deliciously homemade for sure. The atmosphere was cozie, restroom clean, and the music was low and not too loud.
This is the place to go for Mexican food in San Antonio. Given I haven’t tried them all, but as a tourist who loves Mexican food, this was a hit. The waiters and staff were friendly, the cooks were singing and laughing in the back, and the atmosphere here felt just right. Not like a tourist trap on the river walk. I got the best tortilla soup I’ve ever had, the enchilada trio was great and the beans were so flavorful. The tacos were fresh and yummy, with extra lime to my preference. Price was great and I got in right away around 11am. Will come back next time I’m in town
There was a long gap about 15 years since I had eaten at Pete’s Tako House. My Grandmother loved going there. This was my first visit to the downtown location. I was happy the food was still delicious. Generous portions and the tortillas are so good. I don’t normally dine out for Mexican food because I can cook it at home. San Antonio is my exception to dine out when I visit they have excellent restaurants and Pete’s is one of them. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming. The staff is friendly and quick to help with anything you need. The prices are reasonable for dining in downtown San Antonio. Parking is limited for handicap. The outdoor seating is a nice cozy area. Plenty of seating inside and a bar provides a few extra seats. We enjoyed our lunch. I loved looking at all the decor and remembering previous visits with my Grandmother. New memories with my Mom.
I had the carne asada torta with a Mexican soda. The torta was perfect the bun was very soft and the meat was not overcooked. It was my first time having a Mexican soda and I don't think I will ever go back to regular soda again. The servers were very attentive and immediately seated us and took care of our ordes. The place is real busy around noon so the wait to for seating is probably longer.
Pete's Tako House was fantastic. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for a Sunday morning table. The service was excellent. Based on the menu prices I expected the portions to be small so I ordered huevos rancheros with sausage and a single breakfast tako. When the food came out I was surprised that the portions were enormous. Everything tasted great but it was so much food I could barely finish. I definitely recommend checking them out!
We went there for brunch on a recommendation from friends, and it did not disappoint! The food was good, the service was good, and the whole experience was great! We had a spicy bloody Mary and it was just right. We also had mimosas. I liked them because they bring you own glass, juice, and bottle. You can mix them how you like. I got two breakfast tacos and was not disappointed. My wife got migas, and she grew up eating that. She said they were excellent! We're going back next time we're in SA! The only knock is parking. We paid $10 but afterwards we realized we might not had to. The parking is a little confusing, but worth it!
I usually go in here about a couple of times a week for a taco for breakfast. I'm been here also for lunch. The tortillas are on point!!!!! They are delicious!!! I typically get the potato and egg taco and/or the chorizo and egg when I go for breakfast. During lunch, I've had the beef enchilada plate with rice and beans garnished with a small salad. I've also had the beef crispy taco plate. Again, I can not say enough how excellent the flour tortillas taste. I've been to lunch with others who had the beef Taco Salad. That looked pretty good, also. They do serve margaritas and different bottled beer, but I have not yet partake in any alcoholic drinks at Pete's. I would highly recommend Pete's. The wait staff is excellent, Cecy, Magda, and Robert are very friendly and welcoming.
BEST breakfast tacos in San Antonio! BEST tortillas in San Antonio! You know a place is good when they are always busy. The waitress was very patient and accommodating. I took my mom who asked a lot of questions, because she had never been here. The tortillas are awesome, soft fluffy and just delicious! They always fill the tacos nicely. Everything tasted fresh & full of flavor as always. My mom said she wants to go back with her friends. Yeah you can get tacos almost anywhere in San Antonio, but these taste better.
I had a delishous margarita on the rocks here. Food was very good....did have a long black hair in my food,it happens. but other than that it was great. Our waitress (cant remember her name but she was from the midwest)was very friendly and very helpfull, i deffintely recomend.
Delicious! Our server recommended Pete’s street tacos plate (comes with 5 tacos and beans) and I’m glad we tried them! It was enough food for 2 adults and 2 young kids (age 5 & 7) to share. Chips and salsa were tasty, service was super friendly. It’s concrete floors throughout so it’s a little noisy, but overall great experience. Very reasonably priced—queso, 2 taco plates, 4 drinks = $32 👍🏼
(10/23) Came back to San Antonio again this year for a work trip and got catering thru Pete’s. Excellent food. Pete was so great to work with. Really enjoyed it! This time they had mini empanadas which were delicious and the perfect add on to our chicken / beef fajita buffet. Great tortillas. (10/22)They catered for our team. Brought everything to our hotel and set it up. Pete was so nice, super helpful and accommodating. And the food was fantastic! Loved everything! Did a fajita bar and empanadas (amazing). Highly recommend! Hope next time I can experience the restaurant!
Went there after reading good reviews and definitely didn't get disappointed! They offer dine in and take out both have hand sanitizers and the servers wear a mask. We decided to sit outside and was served by Sergio who was amazing. The food here is delicious and with portions big enough for sharing. They start you off with chips and salsa as well. Their menu is extensive and they offer something for everyone including kids menu!
While traveling through San Antonio, we casually gave this restaurant a chance since we were in a rush and it was the best find we've had in San Antonio so far. Pete's Tako House has amazing food that all tastes homemade. The first time I went I had the egg with ham tacos and they felt like I was eating at home with family. The environment is very relaxed and laid back. The staff is friendly and courteous. Since our initial find of Pete's, we've driven 2 more times there for lunch when we go through San Antonio. The Tortilla soup is amazing and hearty. We are already looking forward to the next time that we drive through San Antonio to stop by for lunch again. The parking is a bit of a struggle. We've been lucky to find parking along the street all 3 times that we've been but I'm not sure if the have exclusive parking in the back.
Update: Went back this weekend. The food does not diappoint. Prices are phenomenal! Thank you, Pete's Tako, for another amazing experience! This place is amazing. I am visiting San Antonio for three days. I have been to Pete's twice , and I plan on going there in the morning, too. Breakfast is wonderful! The staff must be appreciated and well taken care of by the owner because they are always super happy and look forward to serving you. Came in on New Years Eve, and everyone is wishing you a Happy New Year! Can't say enough about this place! It is a must visit anytime you're in San Antonio!
Update review: this is the breakfast taco stop! It’s a SA staple and always bring visiting friends here! The tacos are big and absolutely delicious. Above all, the staff is really sweet, approachable and attentive. The entire experience is amazing here! Ask for Erik when you go!!! Breakfast tacos are incredible! I usually eat a lot and didn’t think 3 tacos would fill me up but they are super big for a cheap price! Super happy with this place!
Great food and it was definitely a great experience. Love these little spots with so much character.
Pete's was recommended by a local. We were very thankful he did, we ate here twice. When traveling, my wife and I like to eat at local flavors not touristy spots. This is local gem that has been around for many years. The food and staff were both excellent!! If you're in the area definitely stop by Pete's Tako House.
Our favorite breakfast place! 🥞☕ The food is always great, but what really keeps us coming back is the amazing staff. All the waitresses are so kind and welcoming—especially Ceecy! She even remembers our order by heart every time we come in. It’s the little things like that that make this place feel so special.
If you are a tourist, go off the beaten path to Pete'sTako House to get some delicious Tex-Mex. I tried some Tex-Mex on the Riverwalk and it did not compare to how good Pete's was. Get their al pastor nachos and you won't be disappointed. Great tortillas too and i believe they are made fresh in house. Great vibe in the restaurant and very friendly waitresses. Highly recommend.
Great eatery!! Waitress continued to check on us, made sure our coffee's and waters were ful or if we needed anything else. Food was delicious/ well seasoned! I had the steak and eggs, for as thin as the skirt steak was, they still did it a medium rare... beans/potatoes were good served with homemade flour and corn tortillas... AMAZING! I also had the chicken on a stick (a Fiesta fave) delicious and tender, it didn't disappoint. Hubbs had the chilequilles with a side of barbacoa. His fave was the barbacoa, in a corn tortilla with the beans and potatoes. Chilequilles was ok. Over all a great little spot! Gets busy around 10am so plan accordingly
2nd time visiting and had the fiesta chicken lunch special. It was magnificent!!! Very light fresh and full of flavor, I liked how chicken was perfectly cooked and not with oil. There rice was fluffy light in flavor but complemented the full flavor of the chicken as the chicken tasted as it was slow cooked on a wood fire. The beans are off their own. And the tortillas were like a cloud lightly floured and with the portions they have I gladly asked for 2 more. After finishing I felt very satisfied and not like I ate something I wasn’t happy with felt like the original plate you would get from that family member e all have that we go back for seconds and take a plate home. Compliments to the servers and cooks for a great experience!!!
This is hands down one of my absolute favorite restaurants! The food is always fresh and incredibly delicious! The staff here are amazing—friendly, cheerful, and eager to serve! I love coming here and can’t recommend it enough. Usually, I don’t write reviews, but this place is so worth it! Don’t just drive by—stop in and experience it for yourself!
I love this place. I'm happy to say I'm a regular here. They have the best food, coldest drinks and a great atmosphere. No matter what, if you're looking to network, if you're looking to make some small conversations or build some new friendships, stop at the bar, talk to Robert or even talk to Eric. The ladies are super sweet and always nice as well. Everyone is super attentive. They always recognize me acknowledge me and my children too. Thanks for everything. Pete's taco house. I'm glad to be your guest over and over again.
Pete’s Tako House @ San Antonio, TX! The manager here is an excellent person, super friendly and welcoming! He immediately placed our Official No Pet Policy / Pet Friendly sticker right on the front entrance, showing their support for the pet community. This Mexican restaurant has a very complete and authentic menu, with breakfast tacos, guisada, barbacoa, and more. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal with your dog in their cozy outdoor area shaded by red umbrellas. We loved the peaceful patio, the great service, and the fact that they truly welcome pets. With a solid 4.4-star rating and over 4,000 reviews, it’s clear Pete’s Tako House is a San Antonio favorite, and now officially pet-friendly approved by No Pet Policy & Retired K9 Bela! 502 Brooklyn Ave, San Antonio, TX
I believe in Pete’s Tako House Supremacy! Since living in SA, I have easily come to Pete’s the most for breakfast tacos. The bean and cheese are the best I’ve ever had here. The carne guisada, picadillo, and carne asada tacos are also so good and mouthwatering. The enchiladas and puffy tacos are also such a good staple. To-go orders and in-person dining have always been very fast and with great service!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pete’s Takos is a hidden gem in the heart of San Antonio! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special—not just because of the delicious smell coming from the kitchen, but also because of who we were sharing the space with. San Antonio’s finest—EMS crews, firefighters, police officers, detectives, and even nurses and medical staff—were all lined up alongside us, clearly regulars who know where to find the real good food. If that’s not a sign of safety and quality, I don’t know what is! The tacos? Absolutely next level. The freshly homemade flour tortillas are soft, warm, and slightly chewy—just perfect. But the star of the show? The Barbacoa (only available on weekends). Rich, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Each bite was packed with that slow-cooked, seasoned-to-perfection taste that just makes you close your eyes and savor the moment. And the location couldn’t be better—just steps from the beautiful San Antonio River Walk. After indulging in all that ooey-gooey goodness, you can take a scenic stroll along the river to walk it off. It’s the kind of place you come for the food but end up staying for the vibe and local love. Pete’s Takos is officially on our must-visit list every time we’re in town. Can’t recommend it highly enough!
I walked the river walk from Downtown until I came to the locks. It was then that I smelled something amazing. Found myself at Pete's Tako. This was my first day in Texas, and my first chance at Mexican food this close to the border. I was not disappointed. Had the most amazing Tacos. Service was great and polite. The atmosphere was good and clean. Would definitely recommend.
One of my favorite go to Mexican places in SA. Service was great, atmosphere was casual and food was good! I ordered the Pete's Plate which came with 1 enchilada, carne guisada, rice, beans and guacamole salad. My fiance ordered the verdes chicken enchiladas with rice, charro beans and guacamole salad. Both of which were delicious!
I’m not sure how I’ve been coming to San Antonio all these years and never stumbled across this place, but I’m so glad we did! It’s crazy packed, but you’d expect that for some great food! The wait time was around 20 minutes. I ordered way more than I could eat because everything just sounded so amazingly good! The Fideo Loco was a HIT! Took me all the way back to my childhood days. I didn’t even know Migas Taco was a thing… but my son ordered it and it was amazing! Carne guisada was so juicy and tender! This will be a spot we hit up every time we come into town now!
Look, I'm not from Texas, and I'm not Latino in any way, but I know when I've died and gone to breakfast taco heaven.

Great Tex Mex all the way around. Always fast, friendly and delicious. Wait times are minimal, parking is lacking.
Ohhhhh my goodness this is probably the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to hands-down (on account of my favorite breakfast foods and favorite agua fresca). Their migas tacos are sooooo good …
The food is amazing and very fresh, and their tortillas are all homemade. The service was very nice, and they kept it very clean. Would definitely go again!
The food is good, I love the street tacos beef mix. The service is really good everyone ready to answer questions. And the place is nice to get a nice time eating, and also looks clean.
First time trying puffy tacos and they were awesome! We ordered one chicken and one beef and they were sooooo good! 10/10

Another place in SA that we stumbled on and so glad we did. We went for breakfast and were not disappointed. I ordered the Chilaquiles and my husband ordered the Migas plate. Both were so good!!…
This place came up every time we searched for food. Two of us shared two appetizers (poco de todo & Pete's street takos), and we still had some left. The chicken flautas and beef empanadas could have been better, but still not bad. The rest of the food was great. Service was great and helped with our selection. I only wish the beer had been colder.
Okay, this place is actually very good! I was very skeptical about eating here. I've heard that the carné guisada tacos are very good, that the enchiladas are great, and that the puffy tacos are excellent! Well, yeah, you tend to hear a lot of that here in San Antonio! But, this time it's true! I took a picture of each of the things that I was told to try at this place, and it was good! So, don't be afraid and take a chance. Come and try this place out! Oh, a little side note, depending on the time of day that you arrive at, or the size of the group that you are with, there might be a good chance that you will have to wait to be seated. But, I personally think that it's worth the wait!
Usually very busy but good customer service and relatively consistent. Definitely not my favorite Mexican food in town but a nice place to sit down with the family and have a meal.
The food here is pretty good like not amazing but better than mid, I don’t like their carne guisada it’s weird doesn’t have that guisada flavor but I love their bean and cheese, their Takos are very good just pricy like 19 bucks for 7 tacos is kind of crazy but it is down town and it’s better than most so take it or leave it; you’ll have to find what you like there and let us know
The tortillas were a good and decent textured affair, not pillowy and not gummy. The Carne Guisada was very good. The rice and beans were not really for me. The beans were off and the rice was not very flavorful. But the carne guisada was so good I got one to go. I also had an asada with cheese which was under seasoned for my taste but not bad. The chips and salsa was a win for me, it what I want in a texmex place. Light crispy chips with a well balanced and well blended salsa.
In total our breakfast wast $31 an some change not including tip. Plates were huevos rancheros an ham, fajita breakfast plate, 1 taco cg, sweet tea and a water. First parking sucks! But when you go in its clean smells good an staff is very friendly, they even look out for there customers so they don't get tickets. That's nice. The plates of food where hott fresh an flavorful but unfortunately the taco of Carne Guisada was terrible there was no flavor an the meat tasted old. Other than that not bad at all.
Food is delicious and service was great! We arrived at 8 am on Wednesday morning and was seated immediately. Both hostess and server was positive and smiley. We ordered the puffy tacos, street tacos and tortilla soup. Everything tasted great and overall experience was pleasant. Definitely recommend!
The name of the game here is value. You get a TON of food for incredibly reasonable prices. Like, you could drop $5-6 on a couple tacos for lunch and be put in a meat coma from it. That being said, the quality is not incredible. I didn’t finish any of what I ordered. If you don’t mind lower quality meat so long as you get a lot of it, or if you’re a vegetarian (the veggies I had seemed fresh enough), this could be a win. It’s just not a grand slam in all quadrants, and I will not return. But I would never look at anyone sideways for singing praises of the place.
Pete's was our number 2 spot on our quest to find the best breakfast tacos in SA. Overall our experience was good. The staff was very kind and attentive and the atmosphere was exactly what I expect from a great tex-mex spot. Though the flavors were on point for my go to breakfast taco order(bacon and egg with bean, potato and cheese) they were not as hot by the time they got to the table. The green jalapeño salsa could use some more seasoning as well. The carne guisada, though a bit dry and stringy was the bright spot of the meal. The flavor was there but I've had much more tender carne. 4.1 would return for lunch
We had the chorizo and egg breakfast taco, and the tortilla was huge. It lacked the amount of food for the size of the taco, but it was still very good. Salsa was fresh. We had the puffy taco plate with ground beef and charo beans. The beans didn't seem fresh, definitely tasted like canned beans, and very salty. Rice was good. The puffy tacos were very oily, but the ground beef was fresh and had a good amount of meat in the taco. Unfortunately, we didn't get the chips and salsa when we sat down. I wish I'd taste that.

A San Antonio favorite of the locals. The food was good and I would go back. They are known for their tacos and I would stick to the tacos. Avoid the chilaquiles--way too many tortilla chips …

I had heard a lot about this place. I've been struggling to find a good Mexican food spot. The food was ok, first & last visit. The puffy tacos broke as soon as I picked it up, so I had to eat it with a fork. The Spanish rice was different than most places. The enchiladas were nothing fancy. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes before I was assisted with two workers standing there.
Great service even though it was crowded. Place is clean with plenty of seating. But the breakfast tacos were ok lacking flavor, Fideo was good

Disclaimer: Pete's is usually a favorite of our and is on list of to-go's when deciding on where to visit. TL:DR: • We were seated next to the bathroom • Hostess refused to seat us elsewhere • Long wait time for a drink order • Cold food, small filling portion, stale/tough tortilla. Today's experience: We were greeted kindly and asked to follow to our seats. We were seated in the furthest back of the restaurant right next to the bathrooms. And when I say next to the bathroom, I mean I can touch the door with no strain from where I'm sitting. Because we were sat so far I dont believe that our server was aware we were waiting. I asked the hostess if we could be re-seated because we had not been waited on yet and because sitting next to the bathroom isnt a great perception of "we care about our customer and want them to have a good eating experience". She informed me that she couldnt because she didnt want to mess up the rotation and there were no tables available, which wasn't true. (Note: the server was attentive once she knew we had been seated at her table, no issues there). When we received our food, (I ordered 4 tacos) it was cold, the portion of the fillings was small, and the tortillas were tough almost like they were stale. Not sure what was off about today but ultimately we were disappointed.
Too crowded. Parking is HORRIBLE since they don't have a parking lot and you need to drive around for several minutes to find street parking almost 4 to 5 blocks away. And for all that to have food that was horrible tasting. What a shame. Atleast I thought the sacrifice of parking issues for good food is an ok trade off but, Nope!.
Menudo lacked spice for our taste. Ranchera sauce on the bland side too. Excellent friendly service. Good prices.
Absolutely not. The carne guisada was so bland and tasteless, and if you can mess up a bean and cheese thats just sad and you shouldn't even have a taco place. The only only thing that was delicious was their tortillas. Which were fluffy and soft. Their green salsa was watery the day I got it so not sure if thats how they make it but thats not how I know green salsa.
I truly was expecting more. Especially in San Antonio. You can typically throw a rock and find good Mexican food. The ambiance here is pretty standard for a Mexican food spot. The service is great, prompt and friendly. Very grateful for that. However, the food itself is mediocre. One of the biggest things you find in San Antonio is good tortillas and good menudo. This place fell short on both. Not a lot of spice to the mendo. They served it with onions and lemon. I had to ask for jalapeno and cilantro. Perhaps that's a personal preference, but many of the places I go will serve all of those on the side. It's not often that I leave food and don't ask for a to-go box but this is the place that I did it. Not a place that I would recommend or go back to. Probably ever. I'm sure it has a good fan base as it was fairly busy and the prices are fair, but it's not something that impressed me at all and in a city where there is exceptional Mexican food, this one was just overall disappointing.
I am at a loss of words after trying this place today. I was so excited to eat here after seeing their reviews on Yelp and yet today when I came to check them out for breakfast, I was catfished har…
If you have never tasted real Mexican food, it will work. Tacos al Pastor, are a scam, cheap meat at high prices! As I said, if you have never tried good Mexican food, come get to get scammed. At least with Tacos Al Pastor, I didn’t try any other dish. But if they can’t do good or regular Tacos Al Pastor, well, not Mexican by any means!
So been going to this place about twice a week because it’s convenient to my office. Today I ordered menudo and it came out cool, not even warm. I asked the waitress to please heat it up. She came back and it had been warmed up, microwaved I guess. I put lemon in it and stirred it but as it turned a single rat dropping surfaced. I was disgusted but didn’t lose my cool. I called the waitress over and showed her. She told me she would talk to her manager. She came back with a ticket excluding the menudo. The manager didn’t even come to address the situation. I payed the balance for the coffee and left. After calling the manager via phone, he told me that they don’t have rats or animals in the back. Luckily I took a picture. Definitely won’t be going back for many obvious reasons.
No no no. First of all, I don’t know why but they put me in the very back. I felt like I was being discriminated against because I was alone. I noticed that there were several other guys back there who were also dining alone. After a while the waitress came and took my order and I got two breakfast tacos. I was a little bit hungry but I wanted to make sure the tacos were good because usually I get burned when I get tacos at a place that I haven’t been to before. And this was no different. $2.25 a taco doesn’t seem like very much of a special to me. eggs were cold and greasy. Not worth it.
I was very dissappointed with Pete's Tako House because the food was not prepared to our request. The omelet was not an omelet per say, and the egg was overcooked and dry while the ham was burned on parts. The potatoes were not seasoned at all and appeared to be pre-packaged potatoes. The eggs over medium were not medium because the egg white was very runny on both eggs. The spice of ham was over cooked and burnt on some parts. The food was not hot when it arrived at the table, it was luke warm. The salsa is good as are the flour tortillas. The service was good, the waitress was attentive and polite. Overall, NOT a great choice for a full breakfast made to order. Perhaps the tacos are better, not sure, but the egg in the omelet was very overcooked and dry. Geez!!!
Idk what's been going on here lately. Idk if the management is on vacation or the head chef is no longer feeling their craft. The service has been horrible the many times that I've been eating in. Our server most of the time and I quite can't remember her name, starts with a T is on vacation while on the clock. No the best customer service skills and appears sporadically throughout our visit. The food no longer taste the same. It went from 5 stars to Meh. I love it here & want to keep supporting local. Please work on everything.
I went yesterday with my family. We arrived and were seated immediately. We waited about 8 minutes to be greeted by a server who took our drink order which was 4 waters. The server was being very curt and dismissive. It took about 7 minutes to receive the drink orders so at this point we went from arriving to placing our food order in about 15 minutes. That seems like an unacceptable amount of time. During ordering my 9 year old wanted to know how big the pancakes are and the server very abruptly and seemingly annoyed says “normal size.” No hand gesture or kind explanation just tells him that and moves on. I my older son ordered a burrito with the gravy on the side. I ordered a beef fajita taco. Right after that the guy at the next table makes a big scene wanting his beef fajita taco removed from the check saying the meat was inedible. Hearing that I found the server and asked to cancel my beef fajita taco and get a bean and cheese with bacon instead. The order came out, luckily the pancake was plenty of big for my 9 year old, my older son got his burrito but it was swimming in gravy (he wanted it on the side) and I got my bean and cheese with bacon taco but they also brought the beef fajita I cancelled and we had to explain again we don’t want it. Older son ate the burrito even though it was covered in gravy just because he didn’t want to upset the server any further. I had the bean and cheese with bacon and the bacon was rock hard to the point where I was afraid of chipping a tooth so I had to take it out. Overall just a bad experience all around. Food was mediocre and service was awful. No excuse for the bad service either, we were super kind and didn’t get upset or cause a scene like the other patron with food quality issues. We’ve been here before a few months ago and had no issues so I was surprised that it was so terrible. Seems like they might be hit or miss?
