Splendid service and an abundance of Japanese food and beverages! Worth the wait in line. Don’t skip out on the matcha latte! Just the right amount of sweet :)
loved this spot i happened upon today. staff was sweet, the onigiri is so good and fresh. the iced tea i had was perfectly sweet, and the space is cozy and cute. i can’t wait to be in the neighborhood again to stop by
A very lovely and cosy place for coffee and something sweet to accompany it. I had a decaf Americano, damn was it the best coffee I have had. The french toast was delightful, not too sweet, perfect pairing. Very lovely staff, deserve all their success and more.
i have found a true gem in east williamsburg💎 this cafe offers the SMOOTHEST matcha latte 🍵 i have had in my life. microfoam is microfoaming hard. the default version is sweetened. so you have to order unsweetened if that is your preference. i also tried kombu (seaweed) onigiri 🍙 the rice to filling ratio is a bit off (too much rice more my liking). kombu filling is perfectly seasoned, combining sweet and savory flavors. seaweed wrap is really soggy since the beginning and kinda too chewy. this cafe is rather small. but they have wifi, 4 tables and 3-4 bar seats inside. outdoor has only chairs but not tables. i went on sunday and it was packed since 10am 🫶🏻 the vibe is industrial with hint of greenery. they also have miso soup and other japanese sandwiches 🥪 i need to try their egg sando very soon.
Strawberry Matcha is the best one I’ve ever had! I would attach a photo, but I devoured it immediately. Perfect sweetness of strawberries, great quality matcha, and there was 2 strawberry pocky’s inside 🤩 Salmon Onigiri was so yummy. def will be going back
I went on a Sunday morning and there was some wait but it was still pretty quick 🍙 hot peppers and plum: both were huge in size and so flavorful 🍵 matcha tiramisu latte: perfectly sweet, thick and decadent . That mascarpone foam was amazing 🍰 yuzu cheesecake with ginger and lime : probably my favorite bite. Unique taste and texture was perfect Limited seating. There are so many items on the menu I would love to try next time. Definitely add this to your cafe list
Got the tiramisu matcha latte and this might be the best matcha that I’ve ever gotten. I just wish their menu was more clear and accessible. Didn’t even realize there was smoked salmon croissant sandwiches until after I ordered because it was on a small label on the glass. Also couldn’t see the drinks offered until I got to the front of the line. Line came outside but it wasn’t long, maybe 10 min on a Saturday at noon.
Very cozy, intimate café. On a Sunday morning at 11 o’clock, waited online for about 15 minutes before having our order taken. Purchase two matcha tiramisu lattes. They were absolutely perfect. The perfect amount of sweetness, thick, decadent, richness, and sprinkle of Matcha on top. Didn’t try any of the food, but it seems like one girl was working the register and making all these amazing drinks by hand. By about 1230, the line had seemed to die down, but it was very consistent and long for a good hour. Would def come back.
I knew it was going to be good but I wasn’t prepared for it being THIS GOOD!!! I tried their Chasu-don bento box and it was so mouthwateringly good that I wolfed it down before I remembered to take a picture. I haven’t had chasu this delicious and perfectly cooked before! Delectable! I did take a picture of my Onigiri (rice balls) which were also insanely tasty! Worth the price and the visit. Their cold brew is wonderful too. I’m so glad I found this spot! In this Brooklyn area of all places!
Brooklyn Ball is a hip Japanese coffee shop with an eclectic mix of tea, coffee, baked goods, and food. I was thrilled to find they offer unsweetened oat milk, which most places don’t have. I ordered a decaf oat latte with unsweetened oat milk and a vegan chocolate muffin topped with a slice of banana—both were delicious. The baristas were super cool, and the music, featuring Madlib’s Quasimoto samples, added to the chill vibes. It’s the perfect spot for people-watching and enjoying a laid-back atmosphere.
We finally visited Brooklyn Ball Factory which has been on our go-to list but failed many times due to the crowd. The decor is humble with relaxing ambiance but not recommended to dine in for someone who is looking for a comfortable spot. We had their Teriyaki Double Cheese Burger and Osouzai Salad. It was overall authentic with delicate flavors but small portion.
If you're looking for a cute and cozy spot in South Williamsburg, look no further! I absolutely loved this spot and it has been one of my favourite discoveries as of late. What we got: - Hot Matcha Latte - Iced Matcha Latte - Spicy Salmon Mayo Onigiri Final Thoughts: The matcha here comes sweetened and I found the hot version sweeter than iced. It suits my taste just fine, but may be a tad too sweet for some. I also love that their onigiri are made fresh when ordered. Though the filling-to-rice ratio could use much more filling, there was something so comforting and cozy about this simple meal that still made it one of my favourites.
First of all this isn't a factory. And they definitely don't make balls. The decor, including 2 large rusty metal doors, is intended to romanticise industry. An illusion that only works on people who have no experience of actual factories. In keeping with this theme, the toilet/restroom is reminiscent of a Dickensian coal cellar. Appart for that winging, this tiny place makes a great effort to supply excellent coffee and wholesome, freshly made snacks. Highly recommend!
