Nora Bene Brooklyn Reviews
I had a great first visit to Nora bene! Wonderful friendly service, so welcoming, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend for lunch and I’ll be back for dinner!
Hands down one of the best restaurants! The food was delicious - the taste the variety. Atmosphere was so nice. But most importantly live music with the talented singer made the party one of a kind. I recommend this place so very much!!!!
This restaurant offers an authentic taste of the Georgia, with rich flavors, warm hospitality, and dishes that feel like a trip straight to Tbilisi.
Came here with a group of friends as walk-ins and we were promptly seated at an unreserved table. The service was prompt and the food lives up to the culinary expectations of Georgian cuisine. The menu items were the Imeruli khachapuri and Georgian bread, which was served warm and truly made my mouth water. In addition, they also have live music, which gives give you an opportunity to burn off all the food you ate.
What a wonderful georgian restaurant, the food is excellent, the staff is super, and the atmosphere is second to none...I strongly urge all the georgians and non georgians to dine on Sat night with exceptional music and dancing...can't wait to visit again & again ....
My friends and I absolutely loved it there. The food was amazing. The host was wonderful, friendly came to the table and had a conversation with us. The waitress was knowledgeable and explained how the dishes were prepared. Definitely recommend going there.
This Georgian restaurant was with a different owner before. I am very happy the new restaurant is just as good if not better! Try the veal soup with tomato, it is delicious. 7 pm live music starts. Great food and service.
What an incredible find! Nota Bene delivers a truly authentic Georgian dining experience right in the Brighton beach. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The food was nothing short of spectacular. The staff were friendly, attentive, and passionate about sharing the richness of Georgian culture and cuisine. Whether you’re a first-timer or a longtime fan of Georgian food, Nota Bene is an absolute must-visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — A true hidden gem!
This restaurant does not even deserve one star. Service was extremely terrible, the table was never cleaned once, the music was very loud for the space they offer, the bathroom was very dirty. Our bad review comes from the fact that we experienced the most unhygienic service ever. Please see attached picture; Plates placed on top of each other and on top of other dishes and meals. This is against sanitary, regulations, and protocols of New York State. Please be mindful before you plan a big gathering there.
I am deeply disappointed! This restaurant is a disgrace to Georgian cuisine and culture! If they treat us Georgians like this, I can only imagine how they will treat foreigners. We waited an hour and a half for food, I asked for a new fork, and they said, "We don't have a clean fork!" Overall, our experience at Nota Bene fell short of expectations, particularly when it comes to hospitality, which is a cornerstone of Georgian culture. Very disappointed and I strongly not recommend anyone to visit this place. Terrible service and irresponsible management!
Im deeply disappointed and, to be honest, ashamed as a Georgian myself. The experience at Nota Bene was a far cry from the warm hospitality that Georgia is known for. The slow service, lack of attention to detail, and unapologetic management fell woefully short of expectations. As someone who takes pride in our cultural heritage, it's disheartening to see a restaurant fail to live up to these values. Never recommend this place to anyone!
I recently visited Nota Bene with a large group of around 150 people (almost all Georgians) including special guests from out of state. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by significant delays and poor service. We waited an hour and a half for food to arrive after being seated (khachapuri especially is served usually within minutes when guests are seated) and some dishes (Mtsvadi) took over two hours to be served. The service was disorganized, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. To make matters worse, when our group leaders reached out to the management, we didn't receive any apology or explanation. The music was also extremely loud, making conversation difficult. Given the restaurant's Georgian heritage, it's surprising that traditional dishes were not served in sufficient quantities for our group. For example, Khinkali meant for eight people was served with only five. Overall, our experience at Nota Bene fell short of expectations, particularly when it comes to hospitality, which is a cornerstone of Georgian culture. Very disappointed and I strongly not recommend anyone to visit this place.
We were surprised when we visited the second time. Food preparation time is over 1 hour, we got it slightly warm. We did not receive the food for 1 person at all, but were charged for all 5 of us. They don't even want to offer TO GO service. they changed and I am so sad. Would never come back. And their staff attitude is not positive.
