Lost Coast Brewery & Café Eureka Reviews
I have had Lost Coast beers from the super market so I was excited to try the pub. I was not disappointed. Service was great. Food was delicious and generous proportions. I had fish tacos, jambalaya (was more of a soup with rice but tasty), and definitely get seasoned fries. My favorite beers were the white IPA and watermelon beer. The atmosphere is pretty funky but if you're in Eureka definitely make this a stop.
Hey, this place is great for a big salad and a pretzel. The bartenders were fun and creative, and they had these cool trays so you could eat at the bar. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming, it felt like a real neighborhood spot. The decor is fun (watch out for the spider!) and it's great for all ages. The food was good, and you definitely get your money's worth.
We randomly stopped in on our way south on the 101, and so glad we did! The beer-tender was so friendly and gave us recommendations for things to see in the San Fransisco area. The food was really good and the beers were amazing. We got there just when they opened, and within 30 minutes the place was full, so expect a wait if you’re looking for a table. Definitely worth a stop though!
We had lunch here on 6/30 around 12:15pm. There were only two of us, and there were immediate seats available at the bar, but we wanted a table, so we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. I wanted to see what beer was the best so I tried a flight. The Great White and Tangerine were my favorites, and I ended up taking a case of Tangerine home with me! The world famous wings did not disappoint. They were, without a doubt, the best buffalo wings I have ever had. They check all the boxes. Chicken cooked perfectly with a nice crispy skin, and a spicy tangy sauce that keeps you coming back for more. And don’t get me started on the elk burger I ordered. So good! The mushrooms and onions complement the moist elk burger with the creamy avocados and fried pickles topped and an entire roasted jalapeño! What a mouth rollercoaster! 🤣 And then the seasoned fries refused to play second fiddle because they were just as good as everything else! Overall, we had a great experience with wonderful food.
Three of us ate dinner after a day in Redwood Forest. Definitely a place I’d come back too. We ordered the weekly special “Crispy Chicken Sliders, Knoxville recipe. The shrimp taco’s and fish and chips. Shrimp taco’s were delicious, crunchy, hot with avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, corn and spicy sweet sauce. chicken special is also a must if they have it when you visit. Cooked to perfection with a heaping side of seasoned fries. The fish and chips were plentiful with huge side of fries but lacked flavor, breading crispy but no flavor. Bear selection was good enjoyed the citrus beer and cherry cider. Dino and Julie did a great job, personable, friendly and attentive. We would definitely come back.
Visited Lost Coast Brewery & Cafe in Eureka and really enjoyed the house beers on tap—they have unique flavors you won’t find elsewhere. The menu offers classic American dishes, and my burger was cooked well and filling. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the staff is friendly and helpful. My only critique is that it can get a bit noisy when busy, making conversation slightly harder. Also, some of the sides felt a bit over-salted for my taste, but overall the meal was satisfying.
This place was amazing just walking in aroma was everything and the atmosphere built up by all the detail, art, newspapers, figures, etc hung up and full of life instantly seated and had a super nice and lively waitress we tried the elk, black and blue, and hot brown sandwiches all were fantastic. The fried pickles and fries were super tasty as well maybe a touch more salt but that's preference great price for quantity of food would recommend and go again
This place is fantastic. Sarah was one of, If not the most amazing bartenders I have experienced. She took such good care of us and even though it was a busy night, she took the time to make our experience truly memorable. I cannot recommend this place enough. Sit at the bar and spend some time with Sarah. You will not regret it.
My wife and i went here on one of our lunch breaks and since then, it has become one of our favorite spots to eat. The burgers are huge! The prices are reasonable. And the selection of lost Coast ales is enough to quench your thirst. One of our favorite burgers is the black and bleu burger, which is a juicy burger with Bleu cheese on it. Its so big, it's hard to even take a full bite. ( Which is a good thing) Two people could literally share a burger and still get full. It also comes with a healthy portion of fries. There's Plenty of seating, there's a bar with stools, and two giant t.v.s for watching sports. Try this place for your next date night! You won't be disappointed....p.s. try the deep fried calamari as an appetizer.
We went a different brewery recently and had a generally good experience, but I would say Lost Coast Brewery & Cafe overshadows the other place in every way. Here we did a flight of beers, one taco, Baja salad and two different sandwiches. Wow, the food and beer were great and what a value compared to the other place we went to. Next time I'm in town, I'm coming back for sure.
Some breweries have great beer and delicious pub food. This one ticks the first box, but the food was really not very good. The Navaho burger's flat bread was way too oily and the fries were nothing special. But if it's a good beer you want and fun decor, then skip the food and watch a game. Oh yeah! The men's toilet smelled like a New York alley. Not clean despite the lock on the door
We had the calamari, which was one of the better calamaries, I've had anywhere. We also had a hard cherry cider, which was absolutely worth getting again. We did get the cod fish tacos which were just okay. I expected a little bit better, but the fish was good. Just the composition of the taco felt like a fish sandwich in street taco form. Creamy coleslaw and tartar sauce is a bit weird for taco but great on a sandwich. It just needed a fresh cilantro and a lime crema. We will likely be back, but not for the fish tacos. 😃 Also, they add a 3% service charge to your bill for some reason. Maybe they had a sign up or an explanation in the menu , but I didn't see it.
Honestly, the food was extremely disappointing. My friend got fish tacos and beer flight. She liked the beer fight but felt that tacos were okay. I got their "famous" hot brown sandwich, but there was nothing famous about it. The meat was dry. Their hickory smoked bacon had no flavor. Took 2 bites, and then I had to leave the rest.
I’m writing this mainly so that you keep up the good quality of your food and don’t lose customers just to save a few dollars. Today I ordered two burgers with fries and an extra order of fries. The extra fries were served hours earlier, since they felt hard and chewy. It bothers me that you might lose loyal weekly customers over just a few dollars. I hope you pay attention and keep up the good quality, because it’s a great place to eat.
We stopped by Lost Coast Brewery & Cafe for lunch passing through town on my Honeymoon Road Trip. We shared the Elk Burger, the burger had no flavor whatsoever for a $18+ burger was hopping for a delicious juicy burger which was not. The up charge for the Lemon Garlic fries are ok but didn’t taste much of the lemon/garlic. I would recommend eating something or somewhere else when visiting.
