I’ve only recently discovered Boxcar, despite driving by numerous times. I live in Tyler, but I’m in Longview every few weeks. I’m a brisket lover, and I absolutely love the chopped beef! Juicy… tender… tasty… topped off with the perfect BBQ sauce. Chef’s kiss! Of the sides I’ve had so far, all fantastic! Mac n cheese is by far the best I’ve had from a restaurant. Daniel, David and Lauren are all exceptionally friendly! I’ll definitely be back soon!

I am typing this while I’m eating! 🤣 The chopped beef is packed with flavor and the sausage is great. I rarely get potato salad, but I did today, and was not disappointed. I love this place.

We were looking for a good barbecue place when we came to town. I saw pictures of Pop Watch here on their website and had to come by, we sure miss his videos. We had the chopped brisket sandwich and rib sandwich with Mac and cheese and beans. All of it was delicious 😋 I love the warmed barbecue sauce . Oh and they were playing 80s country music on a radio station, it was so nice to sit and enjoy great food and music. And a big YES , we will be back.

Every time I come in town I stop here to get bar b que. It is amazing. Juicy meat, flavorful sausage with a smooth texture and delicious sauce that isn’t too Sweet or overly spicy. I’ve sent others and they are repeat customers now as well.

Sandwiches are great! They are a generous size and the meat is delicious & tender. We order the chopped beef sandwich and split it. It’s enough for my wife & I. The serving size on the sides are small, and for that reason I don’t recommend getting a plate. Everything that we have tried is very good.

Went here yesterday for a quick business lunch and recommended going here for a quick bite to eat. Ordered the Mel-Man, chopped beef and sausage, sandwich. Great smoke flavor on the meat. The portion size was appropriate for the price. Added some of their bbq sauce, not sweet at all, with onions/pickles/jalapeños and chowed down. Will be back next time I'm in the area to try something else on the menu.

WOW. What a great BBQ restaurant in Longview! Great, fast service and low prices. Home made everything including the blueberry delight. Insider tip: Eat in! The sauce is kept warm In a crock pot all day, every day, at just the right temperature. Fun quest.. take a selfie with the "saddle bag".
