This place is one of best middle eastern restaurants in Albany area. The cuisine is Afghani but is very close to Persian and some other cuisines as well. They have one of the best beef kabobs ever (the fillet mignon).

I would have given five stars in the atmosphere but its always freezing inside lol. However the food is top-notch and you will definitely be full. The lamb kabob is the best ever! The service is excellent. Very wonderful bunch of people that run that restaurant.

We had the chicken wrap and chicken salad. The food was excellent - the salad was especially fresh. The portions were generous. The dining area was clean and well-lit. The service was friendly. Mazadar was definitely one of the highlights during our trip to Albany!

I was here for dinner with my aunt and uncle. We ordered the lamb chop with chicken kabob. It was very delicious. The lamb chop was tender, and the chicken is cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this place.

Informal atmosphere with great service and great food. Portion sizes are large and also reasonably priced. Great if you love kabobs! This place made me feel nostalgic. As soon as I walked in, the aroma, smells, and light music reminded me of my aunts home, and a time long gone. I was speechless before the food even came. Of course the food was excellent. Highly recommend this place!

The food was absolutely amazing! I felt like trying the vegetarian sampler and really enjoyed it! The pumpkin was my favorite, surprisingly! I did try some of my husband's chicken and it was so good! I took a picture of the mantu- I love dumplings and these were unlike any I've ever had! I will definitely go back.

I tried Mantu for the first time and loved it. Seemed like an authentic Afghan dish. The lamb chops we ordered were soft and well marinated, and so was the beef kabob. The Afghan rice was delicious too. Would definitely visit again to try other stuff from the menu. Place is pretty clean and nice.

One of the best Mediterranean food we had in Albany. Freshly made and delicious. We had the lamb kabob with rice and salad and chicken kabob with rice and salad, both were amazing! Service is fast and the staff is good. The price for that quality of food is definitely worth it. Also tried the lamb wrap which is really tasty and so filling!

We live out of state and have enjoyed other Mediterranean counter service restaurants. This one did not disappoint! The service was friendly, the food tasty, and the portions generous. They were patient with our questions since this was our first time eating here. The dining room was bright and clean. Our food was well seasoned but not spicy hot. I ordered the chicken kofta. I think if I had to do over I would order the chicken kabob, but I still very much enjoyed my meal. I tasted some of my husband’s lamb and it was amazing. Very well cooked. If we lived nearby, we would definitely come back!

I had the chicken kabob and my fiance had the lamb kabob. The chicken was seasoned so fantastically. And I tried a piece of the lamb it it was cooked to perfection. The rice was amazing and the baklava was some of the best I have had in awhile! You will not be disappointed when you come here. It is not too expensive too!!!

I stopped in for lunch and was very pleased with the experience. The place was very clean, and I was in very early in the day. The lamb was cook perfectly and was well seasoned. I'll be going back!

I had one of the most unpleasant dining experiences here. The food tasted stale, the portions were small, and the prices were completely unreasonable. Instead of showing hospitality, they acted as if customers were a burden. It was honestly one of the worst restaurant visits I’ve had in years. I would never recommend this place to anyone who values good food or basic respect.
