Excellent service from the phone call for a reservation to them wrapping the leftovers to go. We made our reservation the day before so we could get the Tomahawk for Two. The website made it sound like it came with two sides, when it came with four and a Caesar salad. If you don't like Caesar salad then let the server know when you get there. The Brussel Sprouts were the best ones we had from a restaurant. Carrots were cooked perfectly. Onion rings went well with the steak and the potatoes were the perfect consistency. We each ordered alcoholic drinks. The Margaritas I had, had the perfect Tequila and sour mix balance. That tells you other restaurants are not making them correctly. The wife ordered a Chocolate Orange Martini. It was also made well and tasted great. The cocoa floating on top and orange wedge complimented each other well. The Owner, Dennis was there and was very personable. We talked about our future trip to Europe and he had good pointers and places to check out while we are there. Our server/bartender Eric was very personable as well. He takes pride in the service he provides and made sure we had the best experience possible. Great drinks Eric! We will definitely be returning for another meal and catch a show at the comedy club.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant . Dennis puts together a phenomenal experience for his guests. We were here for a private wine tasting event which was amazing . I've been here several times previously and have never been disappointed. Truly, a world-class culinary experience.
Our experience was phenomenal. Food was so delicious and our customer service couldn't have been matched. We can't wait to go back!
Had takeout from here last night and it was AMAZING! Food was just as good when we got it home as if we ate in the restaurant. Everything was cooked just as ordered.
I really liked this place and the options it offered. From fine dining, to sushi, to american pub fare. Wedding hall upstairs too. Interesting place. Unexpected in the location.
Top of the line menu and service. The owner is there all the time attending to customer needs. Great high-end food and sushi.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Service was amazing. Dennis and his team know how to make everyone feel like an executive.
Beautiful. Just got married there yesterday. Food was delicious and everything was lovely and everyone was nice. I had the perfect wedding day ❤
The bar has a nice atmosphere and the bartender Cosmo is top notch. He makes great drinks and has a wonderful and engaging personality!!
Went to the Manor tonight with customers for dinner. Excellent selection of draft beer among with a full bar to choose from. The oyster special and crab cake appetizers were fantastic. I had the steak and scallops. They were prepared perfect. For dessert the lemon cake was outstanding.
I lived in Baldwinsville for the past 6 years and tonight was the first time I've been to Mohegan Manor. My wife, two children and I had the warm mushroom salad and the escargot as an appetizer and they were phenomenal. My kids had mac and cheese and a cheese pizza for their main course and they loved it.. My wife had the eggplant parmesan and it was delicious. I had the pork ossu bucco and it one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Even the house salad dressing was great. We had creme brulee cheesecake for dessert and loved every bit of it. My only regret of the evening was that it didn't happen 6 years ago! I think my wife and I have found our new favorite date night spot! Our server Michael was great and Dennis was a gracious host. We will definitely be back.
We are members and go weekly the new menu brings them back where they used to be, sushi is always great, we love the Riggies and just had the Sea Bass that was perfectly prepared
We had a date night dinner, and it was absolutely AMAZING! The duck was superb- the rice, salad, and asparagus were all delicious. The setting was very romantic and intimate. I highly recommend this restaurant for any anniversary or date night!
Outstanding !! The pork osso bucco was fabulous. Shaun, the bartender, makes the best expresso martini by far! Recommend for anyone that enjoys a great dining experience. Enjoy !!
Dennis was great to work with and provided a beautiful space for our wedding. He worked with us on changing the date due to my stepfather’s deployment being extended during Covid. The food is always delicious there and his staff is always friendly and on point.
We had a beautiful party with 50 people for our mom's 80th birthday. Venue and food were excellent. Dennis and his wonderful, friendly staff made our event one to remember. Highly recommend!
Had my sons 21st birthday party in the huge private lounge downstairs. What a great spot for an event or party. They have a huge bar with great selections, excellent sound system with ten thousands music options, 2 fireplaces, multiple couches and private seating areas. The 9ft pool table was a hit. had over 30 people for a 4 hour party and the place was perfect. The private bartender was so nice and on top of everyone's needs. The sushi platter and caseadias were excellent. Will be returning for retirement party. 2 guest of ours were so impressed that they are scheduling there upcoming functions.
This is one of my favorite places to eat in town. Don't be scared off by this place being labeled as a sushi restaurant. The sushi is AMAZING, but they also have Mexican food, other Asian-style dishes and lots of American cuisine, like steaks and seafood. There's something for everyone here. My favorites are the lobster lover sushi roll and the lamb chops. The house dressing (if it's always the same) is really good too. I am sure all the wait staff is nice, but after our first experience with James, we request him every time. Between take out and dine in, we eat here once a week or more!
Best dinner! Great setting.
This place is soooo good. It's an old building so it has tons of character the floors squeak when you walk thru they have plenty of seating inside and a nice size deck in back. The owner greeted us at the bar and walked us to our table outside. We looked at the menu and they had a great selection. Seafood steak burgers sushi mexican lots of variety. The food is not average at all it is exquisite. Its made fresh so it takes a little longer. But don't let that discourage you. It is well worth the wait. They bring you bread with infused oil to dip it in. Very good all kinds of red pepper and garlic in the oil. Yummy. We had bone in rib steak garlic mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. The steak was one of the best I've ever had potatoes were seasoned just right. The veggies were mushrooms Brussel sprouts artichokes and broccoli. Tossed together over a flame. The staff was very helpful. So to end. I would recommend this place if your looking for top of the line food made fresh in house.....DELISH!!!!
Great place for a delicious dinner, fabulous cocktails and loungey atmosphere- we love to relax and enjoy our time at the beautiful bar on the main floor :) Dennis is the owner and really makes sure that all of his patrons are comfortable and happy. This is definitely a win for B'ville!
Attended a wedding and was blown away with the venue and staff. It's got an old time feel that really makes it feel comfortable and welcoming. Huge plus for the comedy show downstairs, not sure how often they do that, but it worked out for the weekend we were there. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Great food and quiet upscale atmosphere. Our server was extremely personable and even gave us a tour of the manor. Absolutely recommend and will go again
Delicious food! 10/10 and amazing service! Our waiter was Angelo and he went above and beyond. We even got a tour of the building and some history behind it!
We just had the most wonderful family celebration tonight ! The food, service and atmosphere was just perfect. Dennis , the owner , was kind and gracious and made our evening a night to remember !!! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience.
Had the tomahawk steak meal for two. It could have served three people. It was totally outstanding and perfectly cooked and presented.
Fabulous meal! Bravo to the chef and staff. They accommodated all our needs.
Intimate atmosphere and great service, the red snapper dinner was delicious and cooked perfectly. Salads were fresh and dressing light, spot on.
Went to dinner there last night 6/14. Great service by our waiter Michael. Food was excellent too. I was surprised that there weren't more tables full.
The Dinner Detective show at Mohegan Manor is a great time. Good food and lots of fun.
Excellent food, wine was over the top. Service was superb.
I had a wonderful dinner at Mohegan Manor ! The food is delicious, the staff is 5 stars ⭐️! Love the environment! It’s really a beautiful place! Thank you.
Tenuta Toriano wine tasting was an excellent experience. Food and wine pairing were well executed. Staff are attentive and very professional. Always a nice evening at the Mohegan manor.
Was our first time here for dinner this evening with friends. Food, service and atmosphere is outstanding. I started with a Caesar salad followed by the clams with linguine - each were top notch. Desserts were amazing as well! Was a very pleasant surprise and so looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommended 👍👍. Probably our favorite new spot.....new to us......😁👍
Enjoyed a great dining experience at the Mohegan Manor. The restaurant has undergone very tasteful renovations. A new and improved kitchen staff was recently hired. The menu changes often to feature new offerings that are sure to please those of all palates. The wait staff and bartenders are professional, polite, and (appropriately) attentive. I highly recommend the Mohegan Manor for dining and banquets.
Went here for a dinner theater event. What a fun time food was excellent. And it was included with the theater experience. The bar it's functional, however, that don't have that many liquors, so you are forced to drink what they have. Otherwise, it was a great time.
We always enjoy our dinning experience at Mohegan Manor . We love having a nice variety of small plate options as find ourselves dining at the bar most often as we like to visit and converse with others . The atmosphere just suits us well . The oysters are some of the best we have had locally and the Sea Bass , when it’s available is one of my favorites. Nice ,friendly , relaxing atmosphere. Never feel rushed .
I am sorry I did not take a picture of my dish to share. I had the Asian themed Chicken Bang Bang. It was delicious. The season was full of flavor and skin was extra crispy. It was a delightful dish. My wife enjoyed her well seasoned lamb chops, and our appetizer of mussels in white wine garlic sauce was excellent. I’d easily order this meal again and again.
Excellent food had the such was delicious. Highly recommend.
We had the best sushi, atmosphere and service at Club Sushi over Valentine's Day weekend. The restaurant was a great temperature (not chilly like so many places, these days) with fireplaces and a warm ambiance. The owner took the time to check on us and the server was very personable. The food was excellent. The fish is extremely fresh and the prices are reasonable. This is the best sushi restaurant around in our experience.
This restaurant brings back many fond memories with friends and family over the years. I have made some great friends here as well. The fine dining is top notch and the dishes I have enjoyed are too many to recall. If they still have the Prime Steaks I highly suggest them! I have been to weddings here and fundraisers and it is always well maintained and such a cool atmosphere! Four floors to entertain on and it is in a historic building which adds character and interest as well. The owner, Dennis, who I have come to know well over the years is always welcoming and comes to visit to make sure we are always well taken care of. Hospitality at its finest. **Update: Delicious food and friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff. It was good to come back to a place we love after moviout of state four years ago.
Amazing Tuscan dinner wine testing with chef Pablo and Ternuta Terciano winery from San Gimignano, Tuscany. Great service, food and wine. Grazie mile
We have been to this place multiple times now. Every visit is epic. Great service and amazing food that comes out to prmerfectiin each time I have ordered anything. Shaun is an amazing caretaker of our experience.
Visited for the first time this past weekend as part of the Syracuse Film Festival. It reminds me of those tents in Harry Potter as it doesn’t look very big from the outside, but it’s huge! Tons of great space for events. Good acoustics and the bar is reasonably priced. Would make a great wedding venue.
My wife and I celebrated my birthday there just this week. During nice weather, there is seating outside between two buildings. It is dog friendly so we brought our 2 Bernese Mountain Dogs. A water dish with water and ice was provided. The food was fantastic. We had two of the specials. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. We have also eaten inside this historic building. Very romantic. Almost 24 years ago, Mohegan Manor was the site of our daughter's wedding reception. It was beautiful then and the food was great. The owner continues to make improvements to the facility. A great place to celebrate that special occasion. We return frequently. Highly recommend.
Excellent attention to detail Our bartender Shaun was the absolute best When you visit check out his espresso martini Our food was cooked to perfection Definitely worth a visit for cocktails and a delicious dinner👍
Mohegan Manor hosted a family birthday party for us. Everything was prefect. They made the entire day super easy and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend looking at this place for an event as I cannot thank them enough for the great day they helped make happen.
I really wish I had taken a picture of the steak salad! One salad was enough to feed a family of 4! Delicious! Steak was well seasoned and you know how salads always taste better when someone else makes them? Very true here as well. However, it was just really good, lettuce was crisp, veggies yummy, tomatoes had flavor! I was skeptical but tasted sooo good. Thank you!
This place is a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, awesome decor/vibe/feel. Amazing food. I was a comedian performing in the comedy club downstairs. The staff was awes9me and it was clearly an anchor point in town on a very cold and snowy night. You won't be disappointed here for food, entertainment, or atmosphere.
Love going here everytime! If you are looking for a higher level of food and ambiance this is the place for you! Shaun as always made the visit amazing!
We had a GREAT dining experience at Mohegan Manor! We decided to chose Mohegan Manor for our corporate holiday dinner because they offer a private dining room! Oh, we have to tell you that the food was AWESOME! We were 12 people and the service went so perfect! There were no delays between courses, all dishes were perfectly prepared and plated, very detailed. We felt like we were in Michelin restaurant! We were served by 2 very kind and professional waiters, that took care of our every request. Appetizers were so delicious. And main course was AMAZING! Specifically their pastas. We order Penne Bolognese, Chicken Riggies, Chicken Parm, Mushroom Risotto, Osso Buco, Short Rib. Unfortunately, we started to eat too fast and did not get a chance to take the pictures of every plate. We definitely will be returning to Mohegan Manor. The owner personally came to introduce himself and kindly offer us complimentary tickets to upcoming Season 3 of Stand-Up comedy shows. Our company highly recommend Mohegan Manor, and we definitely will be returning to dine here!
I always have a great meal at Mohegan Manor Restaurant. From the Tues and Thurs night sushi specials to their excellent dishes from the main menu, they're always delicious and prepared with flair. The bar lounge area is my favorite place to meet with friends or go solo and chat with the wonderful bar keep who is charming and welcoming.
Dinner here was first class. Great service, selection, and taste. The ribs were competition-worthy. The homemade linguini and long-simmered ragu sauce was perfect. The crème brûlée was a delicious custard and perfectly crisped top. Nice cocktail list including beers and wines. The place is beautiful and we were impressed. Must try in beautiful downtown Baldwinsville.
We had a gathering of about 50 at the Mohegan Manor after my parents' Celebration of Life. We were so very pleased with the Mohegan from start to finish. Dennis is amazingly responsive and helpful. This kind of customer service makes planning so much easier! The turn of the century atmosphere (large windows, old fabulous bar, high ceilings) made a great backdrop for our occasion. The food was delicious and imaginative. Sean was kind enough to oversee the placement of personal decorations for our gathering. The servers were incredibly pleasant. We would highly recommend Mohegan Manor for any gathering. Thank you Dennis and crew!
My wife and I attended the Mohegan Manor yesterday and had an exceptional time there. . Although at first we were just going to get tickets to see the comedy vault show. We decided to have dinner there and couldn’t have been more happy. Sean, the bartender maître D waiter, exceptional service, very professional. The man doesn’t stop. All the rest of the staff were super nice including the owner who personally came over and talked to my wife and I made sure that we were having a good time and that we had everything we needed. If we didn’t live so far away and there was a hotel nearby we might’ve stayed the night because it was a really fun time, but I won’t drink and drive ever. If you’re looking for a great restaurant which superior food great atmosphere and an event to fill your night or date night or just a weekend thing this is the place. .
Mohegan Manor is a beautiful historic establishment with great food, awesome service and a pleasant ambiance. The owners are great people who truly care about ensuring the best possible experience and the bartender is just the best! The food is always delicious and the specials are unique. I had the Ukrainian Red Borscht soup last weekend and it was sooo good. Highly recommend checking it out.
Beautiful place. Very relaxing atmosphere. The menu is diverse and absolutely amazing. I need to come here much more frequently. Dennis, the owner, is such a great guy and a class act. Stopped by a couple of times to make sure all of his customers had a great experience. My girlfriend had Scallops and I had a rib eye. I don't normally order steak. But, I was absolutely blown away at the flavor. Recommendation: have a smoked Old Fashioned (cherry and Applewood). Amazing.
Wonderful Friday evening at The Manor . We enjoyed drinks made by Shawn who was super attentive and a wealth of knowledge . Made the best drinks and has quite the selection of whisky and a smoking tray for extra flavor . Very unique experience! Food was excellent calamari , artichoke salad , tempura shrimp . We saw plates of chicken riggies and other pasta dishes come out from the kitchen and unfortunately we didn’t have room for more food so will have to return for a second visit! Over all it was a wonderful evening and will continue to visit this beautiful restaurant !
I’ve eaten at the Mohegan several times in the last month and each time I’ve been thrilled with the meal. They have a Ukrainian chef who keeps the menu fresh, and quite honestly- there’s never a bad choice! Seafood plates always catch my eye, but he also does an incredible job with steaks. Skip the chain restaurants, come to the Mohegan and enjoy great food, an incredibly relaxing environment with outstanding service!
Wonderful dinning atmosphere, great wait staff, but meals priced higher than average in the area but not better. ( Fine dinning prices but average quality).
My brother recently had his rehearsal dinner and wedding here. Food was very good and their staff was amazing. It is a beautiful building that has so much potential. It would be nice to see the owner update the property and make it ADA compliant. Owner needs to do better job maintaining the building..there is a sewage smell in parts, lights out, and roof leaks. He should also have an event planner.
A tiny bit dated and in need of repair but the food is glorious. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Perfect wedding venue for couples who like old world charm and grand staircases
Went here for prom. It's in a pretty busy area and parking is not available at all, SO MANY STAIRS, walking 3 flights in a dress and heels is not fun so don't suggest that for prom people but otherwise I can't rate this establishment
Went to a dinner mystery event. The actors were great, and the food and service were awesome. My husband's meal, which was beef, wasn't as good as my chicken dish.
This is a gem in Baldwinville. Sean always gets the cocktails perfectly right at the bar. The food is exceptional. The chicken dish they’re currently serving has a significant wow factor and is well worth ordering.
First time here and it was for a bridal shower. This old building charm made for a lovely, warm setting for the party. Fireplace included. Buffet style brunch. Comments I heard were all good. The chef did have to put together a last minute vegan dish of cooked veggies for my daughter and me, which was tasty. The bride said the vegan dishes were discussed ahead but seemed to be overlooked by the hostess. They worked it out quickly. There is street parking plus a parking lot in the back with an entrance bringing you directly into the bar. I have no idea what the cost is to dine here because I was a guest. Separate bathrooms for women and men.
Great time as always. Hard to hear the Italian lady explaining wine selection. Food was great except last course which seemed dried out. (Maybe that is the correct texture) soup was excellent!! Great night all the way around for my birthday. Dennis made it special! Thank you!
I was a guest for an event upstairs and I was not impressed. The location and charm of the facility was what I expected however the food was terrible. It was not the selection of food but the quality. The bow tie pasta sauce had no flavor or seasonings. It was like someone dumped a can of tomato paste onto bow tie pasta. The potatoes were not cooked thoroughly and the chicken was overcooked and dry. The salad dredding and veggie medley was good.
Good food. This place wasn’t for me but my boyfriend loved it. Where else can you get a burrito and sushi and a steak all in one place? Service was excellent decor was dated. My burrito was cheap and good.
Food was disappointing. They should try to stick to one thing instead of steak house, Mexican, Asian, Italian all in one and none of it done well. table had to send two plates of the pork osso buco back because it was so tough. Service was slow. Out of the 7 dinner there was nothing to write home about.
Went there for a murder mystery dinner. The atmosphere, service, bartender, manager was great! The food... well, that left alot to be desired. The chicken cordon bleu was not good, short rib was ok, but you could tell that the cordon bleu was frozen product. Will try again as the restaurant food tends to be different than the banquet style food at these type of facilities.
Mohegan Manor is a beautiful place to get married, the catering staff were friendly and quick to help. Our wedding was great and I'm glad we chose this venue, although I wish we had asked our photographer bring a flash and reflector since the lighting wasn't the best indoors (for photos). Also, it at times it felt as though I wasn't being heard by management mostly when in person. They were pretty quick in responding to texts and emails. Make sure you confirm that your special dietary plates are available to be made - I had a bridesmaid that is vegan and the chef said that the meal we had requested ahead of time, with management, was not in his notes. They did make her a vegan dish, but they covered it in blue cheese. The chef and the catering staff were quick to fix that once I brought it to their attention. The food was delicious, and exactly what we wanted for the regular meal items. I reached out after the wedding with a few questions about left behind items (or things I had forgotten to have someone else grab) and still have not gotten an answer - its been about 3-4 weeks. Myself and my Bridesmaids were given an air conditioned room to get ready, which was great because it was a very hot day! If you are looking for a beautiful place to get married - especially for the attractive factor, this is a good choice.
Staff is really nice and I'm always very appreciative of that. I'm just never impressed by the food. It's like that's fine, that's good, that's alright. It's a nice setting for a nice date night. Just don't expect to be blown away by the food. In reply to the owner, as I don't see how to complete a direct response. I've had a variety of dishes. I've had Sushi, The Pulled Pork Burrito, a Pasta dish and we came in for Dining week and I had a soup, the fried calamari steak and a pork dish. All were ok to good.
No Bueno!! Nearly everything was overcooked! Out of (3) grouper (3) Strip steaks, only 1 out 3 steaks had ANY pink (only because it was sent back) when you spend nearly $40 for a dish it damn well better be how you ordered it. All the groupers were overcooked (dry and crusty). Best part of meal was the company, seafood risotto and lemon marscarpone.
I came here a few weeks ago for the first time to have a nice dinner date with my boyfriend. We had the groupon deal and followed the instructions, which said for us to make a reservation and mention the groupon. When we arrived, there weren’t many customers or workers… it seemed like a slow night. So once the man came over & asked us if we had a reservation and we said yes, we took a seat on the couches and waited. When the man finally came back, he looked confused as to why we were sitting there. So again, I gave my name & told him we had a reservation. The man took us to our seat, which was located on the patio. We were not asked if we wanted a patio seat, which we did not.. but it was our first time here and we weren’t sure if that was the only available seating, so we didn’t say anything. The patio had potential to look very nice & fancy, but it fell short, and considering the prices on the menu, I expected more. But we remained excited for our dinner date. The patio held about 7 tables and everyone had a nice looking table & chairs except for us. All the other guests had nice, black cloth table covers & nice chairs. Our table on the other hand, had metal chairs that looked and felt like bleachers at a high school football stadium. And our table cover was plastic-like, it was super oversized for the size table we had, which was unbelievably small and we had absolutely no room. Upon a further look, I noticed it had small dead bugs all over it… like it was stuffed away in a garage somewhere and they just pulled it out and didn’t bother to wash it. We felt like since we were “groupon” customers, they didn’t think we were worthy enough for a clean table. But still, we remained hopeful. Then our waiter came out.. who seemed uninterested to take our order & looked like he was focusing on other things, rather than our table. At one point, he even talked badly about a co-worker, and used the “F” word. I found that very uncomfortable and unprofessional. When I gave him my order, he gave me a look and began to explain what it was that I was ordering, like I was unaware. I was fully aware of what I was ordering and confused as to why he was elaborating on what the dish was, like I was supposed to change my order. When the food arrived, both of our dishes were just okay and certainly not worth the menu price for them. Additionally, the overall service was extremely slow. Our waiter was being helpful to all of the other guests around us, but we had to wait an hour for our main course. When we requested the check, that took another 25 mins to arrive, which they added on the gratuity automatically & It was a more generous tip than I would’ve given for the service . And meanwhile, the sun began to go down and the mosquitos were unbelievable. I know they can’t control their mosquitos, but perhaps some repellant candles outside would have been nice, or they could’ve asked us if we even wanted to sit outside, because we would’ve said no. Overall, the experience was quite unfavorable and I would never go here again & would certainly not recommend it to others. If you have the groupon, I would suggest not telling them on the reservation that you have it, since you will be treated differently than their other guests.
We went to the murder mystery show that they put on. Awesome show! The food however was not good. The "chicken cordon bleu" was the worst thing I have ever eaten in my life at a restaurant. We also had beef short ribs that weren't bad but that didn't make up for the chicken. The side vegetables were obviously frozen and steamed to death. For $80 a ticket I expected a hell of a lot more. The show was worth the money but the chicken ruined the entire experience. I do not recommend this restaurant. I do however recommend going to the murder myster show.
My wife and I had our wedding reception here this past weekend. The lack of communication between owner and staff is astounding. We had communicated all of our plans for the reception 2 weeks before the event and nailed down the details with no objections. We planned to bring our own food for the reception, but paid extra for the dining room help. Which included food setup and cleanup. My wife was then called by the owner on our wedding day being given an attitude because there was complaints from staff. This was after my wife was told that’s day it was no problem directly from the staff. This was a reception of 75 people. Limit was 100 for the venue. We did not bring an overwhelming amount of food. Our biggest issue was the bar disaster. The bartender seemed to have no experience making proper drinks. Astonishing amounts of liquor were in drinks. Mixed drinks were well over poured and people were over served. We also pre paid half of the bar and had a set limit to when the bar would be cutoff from our tab. I was not notified until the bar was well over my set limit. Many people also witnessed the bartender charging for more drinks than were actually served. Our bar tab was well over only 2 hours into our reception. This was just unprofessional and I’m shocked out how it was handled. The venue itself is nice, and maybe we just had a one off bad experience.
The atmosphere is quite elegant. However, everything I tried tasted like boot polish. I couldn't connect why, but then I saw Mothers For Liberty and cops banquet here often. I would suggest a more secular restaurant.
Two tall, steep staircases to banquet and gathering areas, no elevator, small chair lifts for individuals unable to handle stairs. The staff did not properly clasp the safety belt - very scary! An unfortunate choice of venue for a wedding with many older guests. Roast beef was great, but some chicken portions were raw and the vegetables were blah. Small portions served by staff on buffet line. Not recommended for receptions.
Very disappointed. First visit the meal was excellent but the waiter bashed the owner which was quite embarrassing. The 2nd visit we made a reservation and there was no door greeter to seat us. So we went to the bar and thought the price for "house" wine per glass was crazy as even high end restaurants are within reason. We finally sat down and the waitress wanted to take our order before allowing us to view the menu for a minute. Seemed a bit dark as well. Far from intimate for upscale dining as the tables around us were extremely loud. When our order was placed she didn't return to the table and was ignoring customers. They seemed to be out of everything from the start and it was still early for dinner. We were unimpressed with the appetizers prior to the meal. When we became discouraged after quite sometime going unnoticed and dirty dishes were not cleared from our table the waitress was addressed on the poor service and unhappy with us alerted the owner who in fairness asked what he could do to make it right. At this point unfortunately too many things had went wrong and we left without dinner. We were so discouraged and in disbelief that the owner did not address his staff or notice this going on when he was walking around the tables. The waitress also asked us if we were members at the start of dinner. We felt that was demeaning as we frequent upscale restaurants and should be treated the same as a member if they want customers to return. Unfortunately this bad experience has left us with a poor review and no 3rd chance. Not many people can tell you what the word "TIP" stands for....To insure promptness....unfortunately that was not accomplished for us :(
I’m not sure what really happened here tonight if we were part of some crazy new dining experience I wasn’t aware of or what..... we made a reservation for 7pm for 7 people. Upon arrival our group was asked to wait in the bar until everyone arrive which is perfectly fine and understandable. We notified the staff upon our whole party arriving and they still told us to wait. After tracking down someone again we were shown to our seats. None of us had been to this place before and we thought restaurant week would be a great opportunity to step outside the box. Which was quite the mistake. While the waiter was kind and considerate and none of what is to follow is on him so thank you James for being one of the only redeeming qualities of the night! While poor James is trying to take our drink order a lady who is running food is interrupting him constantly .... after two tries our 4 beverages (the others had drinks from the bar still) we order and delivered approx. 10 minutes later. Again we tried to order dinner but the same lady kept coming to tell this young waiter he was needed in the kitchen and asking him questions while he tried to take our order. Which kind of was a task in itself because of the loud booming of pop hits you could hear clearly as if you were at a dance club from the sweet 16 party upstairs. The first course finally arrived and some plates better than others but very inconsistent for those that had got the same item. The sushi that we ordered to accompany our first course was however fantastic! The second course came at various times for the 7 of us and we had to ask for one of our parties food as it had been forgotten. They were accommodating to switch out the Brussel sprouts that arrived with meat on them for our friend who cannot eat meat but only after there was a disagreement about if it was meat or not ... which turned out to be some sort of dried meat like pepperoni or salami. And then we wait.... and wait .... and wait ... and wait.... approximately an hour goes by and we finally receive our last course, thank god my friends are hilarious or I would have been bored out of my mind. And the waiter did bring us bread when we asked if there was something we could have during the wait.... however upon arrival the lamb dishes that were ordered were extremely rare like fresh out of the fridge rare. Before someone says that you’re supposed to eat your lamb that way believe me I understand but it was like it was straight out of the fridge rare. They did refire the meals but at that point we just wanted to go after being there for over 2.5 hours enough was enough. At one point at the end of our meal a older gentleman which I would assume to be the owner came over and I expected him to ask how our meal was or to apologize for the delays or the extra rare lamb but he simply asked if we needed more beverages and moved along quickly when we said no thank you. We did ask James if this was normal for this restaurant and his response had to do with the private party upstairs and the number of dishes the kitchen staff was responsible for. While I can understand that but if you’re going to participate in these kind of events I would at least perform a menu that my kitchen could execute flawlessly if not for the sake of the diner to have a great experience but at least for the kitchen staff not to be so bogged down. All and all the sushi was good, James the waiter was a good sport and the company was fantastic but next time we venture out to B’ville I think we’ll skip Mohegan Manor.
Dennis Sick the owner of Mohegan Manor is an arrogant , unprofessional human being ! My daughter planned a surprise Birthday party for me at his restaurant ! A party of 25 , that he gladly accepted her deposit for ! The day of the event she and a couple of other family members arrived at the restaurant , 1 hour early with a cake and balloons ! To find the establishment CLOSED ! In a panic my daughter began trying to contact Sick , with no response ! Eventually he walked out of a bar , across from the restaurant , reeking of alcohol , and literally knew nothing of the event , until he scrolled through his phone and found it ! His generous attempt to make it right was to give my daughter back her deposit , and an extra whopping $25 for the inconvenience ! The inconvenience of now trying to figure out what to do for a party of 25 , for her mother's surprise 50th birthday party ! When he returned my phone call , I personally thanked him for destroying my Birthday , and demanded he apologize to my daughter , and he instead chose to hang up on her ! Enough said ! FYI I would have given him zero stars but it wouldn't let me !!!!
I went into Mohegan manor tonight as part of a village winter program, it was a poker run type of thing. Out of 10 bars I paid the most for a bottle of bud and received a 6 month old bottle of beer way past it's prime that tasted like crap, I will not ever bother to go there again, there are plenty of bars in bville that sell fresh beer at a reasonable price. ,
My wife and I signed up for a murder mystery dinner that was overbooked. That’s not on Mohegan Manor but they do share some issues that they could’ve made a little effort to remedy. We had bought a bottle of wine to go with our dinner and had purchased our meals for the event. The bartender was excellent but horribly overworked. He managed to keep up as best as he could, but for 80+ people they should’ve had two behind the bar. When it became evident that they didn’t have enough seats for everyone, the waitresses were empathetic. Not much they could do at that point. After waiting around for 15-20 minutes for a solution we decided to go down to the first floor to see if they had a dining room open. Mind you, we had previously purchased our meals. When asking a man I assumed to be the manager if there was somewhere else we could sit and eat, he denied our request despite many tables available in the empty bar area. No offer to at least feed us the meal we purchased. No offer to comp the wine - just a voucher to attend a comedy show at a later date (which he was already offering to anyone who tagged Mohegan Manor on Facebook). We left hungry and unimpressed with the place Follow up: the comments made by Mohegan Manor regarding the situation are falsely misleading. We were shown our table, found to not have any seats for us, the organizer was perplexed and couldn’t understand how she could’ve assigned 10 people to an 8 seat table. She first grilled the other people at the table asking their names and party size multiple times, and then made a fleeting comment of “hold on” and left to start processing other customers while we embarrassingly stood in the middle of the room right next to the cheesy “chalk murder outline” on the floor. We were not asked for our patience and no apologies were made- we were treated discourteously and ignored. I stated to my wife “let’s stand off to the side for now”. One of the servers commented on how poorly we were treated and how disorganized the event seemed to be. After waiting 15-20 minutes of be left off to the side while she was seating other people, I asked one of the servers if there is a restaurant or someplace in the building where we could go to eat and she mentioned something about areas both upstairs and downstairs. We were NEVER offered a small table or any other accommodation. We walked back to the bar to settle up the bill for our bottle with whom I thought was the manager. His solution was to shove a couple tickets to another event he was having. Not likely. I understand that it wasn’t his event, but it was his facility and he could’ve certainly showed more concern and had the resources to help remedy the situation. His apathy sealed the deal. Amusingly, our server at the restaurant we ate at later had a similar story of poor service at Mohegan Manor.
Had a reservation at 7 on 4/11/2025. Got there right before 7 and then was seated right as we walked in. Our server was Dennis. We recieved our waters then ordered the pizza. It came out around 7:15/7:20. We put in our main course which I ordered the chicken riggies and my wife order the petite filet. It came with a balsamic salad that came out right away with no dressing on it and then we didn’t receive our main course until 8:45. Will not be returning unfortunately.
You guys should be highly embarrassed to sell the crap of food that you have. I paid close to $40 to get chickens piggies delivered to my house tonight. The chicken in it looks like dog meat. I should’ve known better because last time I ordered from you guys years ago it was nasty. I thought you would’ve done better by now.!!! Shame on you !!!!!!!
