Me and my sister showed up at 9:30 and they were still able to sit us down to eat and cook us food. The girl serving us was amazing super patient with us and so nice. The food was perfect, every bite was mouthwatering. We ordered the Mongolian beef, tofu in hot plate, Xiaolongbao and it was all perfect. We realized how close we were to closing at the restaurant but they were nice enough to let us enjoy our food without rushing us. Thank you for everything.
Just visiting Houston for business and we found this gem in the middle of many restaurants here! The staff is very friendly, the food was soo soo good. I lived in China for many years so I'm not just saying that, it's legit, authentic and tasty. The fried buns were made just right and even larger than I expected, the guotie(fried pot stickers) were bursting with meat and cooked well, the Chinese donut and sweet soy milk are staple breakfast foods in China and didn't disappoint. The donut was huge and the soy milk was authentic and fresh tasting not from powder. Everything we had was handmade and not frozen then heated. The sauce was a perfect blend of peppers and oil, it was very fragrant and spicy but not too spicy. We didn't eat lunch/supper but they had so many things I love from Sichuan food on their menu. If you read this long you must also try these dishes here: Twice cooked pork(My top 5 in China), Grilled fish, stir fried shrimp/Beef in Hot Pot, Pork ribs Hot Pot, Szechuan Spicy Chicken, Spicy Fish with spicy pepper, Chinese bacon with scallion, Shredded pork in Garlic sauce/Shredded pork with Beijing sauce (both of these will be slightly sweet). All the dry noodles and soup noodles I think are great but are very different in flavours and styles. There is so much more too. If you haven't eaten Chinese much and don't know what you want make sure you tell the server what types of food you like and have them suggest a dish for you. Try Sichuan Noodles on your next visit to China Town!
Rating is closer to a 4.4 or 4.5 but I rounded up because Sichuan noodles is sooo much better than mala as multiple reviews have stated and for good reason. Smaller place but quality of food was so much better for great prices. Ordered takeout and it was ready quickly. Got the chicken fried rice, chicken fried rice, and wonton soup dumplings. The noodles were so flavorful without all of the overwehlming oiliness of mala's. The rice was very clean, not overly oily. The soup dumplings also had very flavorful broth but did fall apart very easily. Would love to come by and try all of the dishes on their extensive menu!
One of the best places I’ve eaten at! Huge portions, great prices, and amazing flavor! Their fish hotpot is the best I’ve ever had and could easily feed a family of 3 or 4. The service was great, you can tell they care about their customers. Do yourself a favor by checking out this restaurant!
This place is excellent. It reminds me of Mala before it got famous and so expensive. The prices at extremely cheap, and the food is amazing. The Sichuan noodles and the Dan Dan noodles are very good, and the Chong quing style chicken ( spicy crispy chicken) was better than mala. The twice cooked pork was very good. I personally preferred the Sichuan dumplings over the Wonton, as the dumplings had much more garlic. But both are very good. The dry fried green beans are good but could be better
Don’t listen to reviews, the best asian restaurants always have the best reviews. If you want actual asian food this is the place to go, incredibly amazing.
This place is a 12/10! Hidden gem. Amazing food and great service. Super fast. Highly recommend!
please don't believe the ratings and reviews! because this place is AMAZING! one of the most authentic chinese food that I've had in Houston. every dishes is incridibly tasty especially for pickled fish soup (I can't remember the exact name sorry 😂) me and my partner really love this place comfy atmosphere and friendly staff (even we can't speak chinese at all) recommended!
Recently came back and tried their hidden menu. Lol. Not really hidden menu but the dishes I wasn't too sure if I should try. My friends suggested their potato in sizzling plate. Omg, so good. Potato is super flavorful, very soft, good for vegetarian. Also ordered the whole fish dry pot style. It's so big enough for 3 guests. Lots of ingredients in it like dried tofu skin, fresh cucumber, taro and lots different of mushrooms. Sichuan pork intestine noodle is always something I order. The restaurant clean the intestine so good that you can hardly smell anything. They have a selection of different noodles dry or with soup, price is extremely affordable, taste very authentic, you can tell they must brewed their soup base for a long time. Highly recommended! My go to place for comfy Sichuan food
Food was delicious. The waitress recommended the crispy spicy chicken and it was our favorite dish!
We ordered chicken noodles and the tomato and fried egg soup with the pan friend dumplings! Everything was so delicious and big portioned!
First time here and the place is small but with plenty of room to sit. The waitress came and took our orders, answered our questions thoroughly and came back with our appetizers pretty fast. They were delicious, the flavors were amazing! Then came the entrees and they were even better! The flavors that the food had was so good, we stuffed our faces until we could no more. Definitely coming back to try other things.
Don't understand why they got so many bad reviews, but overall, I don't find their dishes too salty, but the dishes here do go well with rice. All the dishes I got today were tasty and nothing to complain about. I would definitely want to try their bao and beef noodles next time when I got the chance.
My favorite Chinese restaurant in Houston, I like their chicken souq and stir fry beef with scallion. The staff is very warm and welcome.
Dinner was solid all around, parking is tough, and prices are around 6-15$, try the pickled pepper fish it has clear noodles in it, also the green beans and cucumbers are solid. We also had the spicy fried chicken and they were still tender and not over cooked like most places we go to.2 people under $80 not bad for 5 dishes and tea.
Sichuan Noodles is located in the ever popular, always busy Dungwan shopping center. The restaurant has a casual and cozy atmosphere, and serves authentic Sichuan-style cuisine. The menu at Sichuan Noodle House is extensive, with a wide range of noodle dishes, stir-fries, soups, and appetizers. Many of the dishes are spicy and flavorful, with a focus on the signature Sichuan peppercorn and chili oil combination. Besides "I can't stop eating this" Sichuan noodles, they have green beans, eggplant, dan dan noodles, spicy cold noodles, Sichuan boiled fish, and mapo tofu. The portions at Sichuan Noodle House are generous, and the prices are reasonable, making it a great value for money. Overall, Sichuan Noodle House is a must-visit for anyone who loves Sichuan cuisine or spicy food in general.
This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant, they got traditional sichuan cuisines they are delicious and fantastic, they also have 生煎包 they are huge and delicious too! Definitely recommend this restaurant

Delicious food. I ordered the spicy beef Sichuan noodle, yummy! I really loved the mix of spicy with something else that makes your lips and mouth little numb. Good feeling!
Definitely must cone here if you are around this area. The food was delicious and staff is super friendly. The food came out very fast. I will definitely come back if I have the chance.
This place has never disappointed me. I love all their dishes. The bao is freshly made daily. The portion is like Texan size. Additionally, they periodically introduce new dishes. This is my cafeteria.
The staff are very kind, warm and patient. They introduce dishes actively and serve food quickly. The food tastes good, portions are generous, prices are fair, and the place is clean. Overall wonderful.
This is definitely my favorite noodle shop! It’s always my first choice when I crave noodles—whether it’s soup noodles or dry noodles, the flavor is authentic, with fresh and generous ingredients. The environment is clean and cozy, and the service is attentive. I always leave feeling fully satisfied, and I’ve recommended it to many friends.

I ordered their food twice. One time is on doordash and it was really bad, I can do the exactly same dish at home and will taste 100 times better than theirs. But I also doubted myself coz when I checked their rating is actually not too bad. So I went to their store the other time and it was ok. Their rice noodles are ok, I think the problem is the soup, aftertaste is a little bit bitter. But their soup dumplings are not too bad. The skin is bit too thick. They offer soymilk for free which is really impressive. And their soymilk is very serious. You know many restaurants' free drinks are jokes but their soy milk is Real soy milk, doesnt taste like water and you can smell the soy flavor
When walking in, the no AC hits you in the face right away. It was HOT and took me a while to cool down when I grab a table. The menu has little pictures for those who wants to experience this place. The wait staff is friendly and you can asked for any suggestions. I personally think you should take it. I did not and went with something more exciting… pork intestines and blood noodle soup. The aroma smell when the hot pot hits the table was like underpit smell. It was strong and the noodle soup was delicious. The tables were barely clean with disinfectant (they just clear the dishes from the table). Overall, mixed experience and I would come back again to try something less stinky.
I came here for the salty tofu pudding(咸豆腐花)for the breakfast. It is the northern China style tofu pudding and tastes good. I am glad they serve this dish since it is rarely found in Houston. My husband ordered the pork rib noodles and he literally finished everything in the bowl. I think his noodles is better than the shredded pork with pickles noodles(榨菜肉丝面)which I ordered. It tastes just so so. The good news is they have 12% off on every thing recently since they are in the 8 years anniversary. I am not sure how long it will last but it’s nice to get some discount there.
This place deserves a little more love. It's a casual little place with good food for the price point. The portions are generous and service us friendly and prompt. Great for a quick bite.
Ordered the pan fried bao, spicy stirred noodle and spicy wonton. Quite flavorful, like that there is option to adjust spicy level. Dishes took a while from order to arrival. Friendly service.
I like trying new restaurants every now and then. We tried this place and food was good. We only ordered the Shrimp fried rice and the Szechuan Spicy Chicken. The shrimp fried rice was yummy 👍👍 ate it with their fresh chili condiment, and it was really really good. The Szechuan Spicy Chicken, i really liked. It has a very strong flavor, and those numbing peppers really get you. So just a warning for those who dont like spicy food. Overall good experience. Would I go back? Probably, to try other things on their menu. Follow my instagram food diary @dailyasiankitchen 🙏❤️
My cousin and I once again were searching for a new place in Bellaire this past weekend (5/20) and he chose "Sichuan Noodles" in Bellaire. Its a very small place with tables that are packed pretty closely to each other. Apparently its a family restaurant as three little girls were camped at one of the tables and occasionally roamed around the restaurant, complaining about each other or doing some activity. I know some would find that irritating but to me (and maybe because I grew up with so many younger female cousins) I found it cute and endearing. I ordered the pork dumplings as an appetizer which I could've sworn was a six piece but instead came with 10! For the entree I ordered the stewed beef with cumin, and my cousin ordered fried noodles with shrimp. For some reason my entree came out before the dumplings, but I knew I was in trouble when it arrived and it was covered with chili seeds. Disclaimer: I'm pretty weak when it comes to tolerance with spicy food- maybe a 5 out of 10 at best. But that beef was just a little too much for me. It was tender and honestly delicious, and the cumin was fresh and gave a wonderful, light crunch- I just couldn't handle the heat! My cousin loved his fried noodles with shrimp. He has certain motor skill difficulties which include chewing/swallowing, which means he needs food items that are very soft which makes things more difficult than you think. As far as the service, it was adequate enough for us but there was only one waitress and I imagine that could make things difficult when the restaurant gets busy, and it was starting to as we were finishing our meal. Overall this was a very good experience, I just wish I had questioned the waitress as I sort of ignored the "flame" icon that was next to the dish! You should definitely check this place out, just know that it is Sichuan cuisine which can be quite spicy. But if you like spicy food then I'm certain you'll enjoy Sichuan Noodles restaurant!
The service was courteous. Many choices for traditional Sichuan food. We ordered 3 dishes and shared between us. With Beef Brisket hot pot with rice noodles, I liked the smooth and soft rice noodles, the soup was tasty as well; for Bullfrog hot pot, it's quite spicy and typical hot pot flavor, bullfrog was tender, with a bowl of rice; lastly the Special noodles with beef, the Chinese name was fancy: the noodles to take your soul, it was authentic Sichuan flavor with a lot of green peppers which came with special flavor, nice and spicy. Overall I'd recommend this restaurant if you love spicy food.

Fast and good service, although left a bad taste in my mouth. Literally. I ordered the spicy beef noodles and realized it had a funny after taste. I asked my husband to try it to see if it was just me or not. He said there was a slight after taste, and just left it on his plate without touching it again. I continued to try and finish, and intermittently took sips of my ice tea. I cringed real hard at a strange taste I had after having the noodles and then the tea. It was a sour butter taste with a numbing feeling. Honestly I could not get the taste out of my mouth and I was kinda freaking out. I later togo the rest of my noodles and tried to finish it later. It still left a bad taste in my mouth. Weird experience. My husband thought the spicy crispy fried chicken was good, and killed the whole plate. We also ordered the chili oil dumplings, and I am assuming it is the same chili oil used for the noodles... did not enjoy it due to the after taste. Other than that, food came out fast and the ladies were really nice and packed up our food for us. I'm sure they knew I didn't like the food, but they were nice about it.

Ordered 4 common Szechuan dishes, the cumin lamb (孜然羊肉)was good but a little bit over spicy. The cold noodle (川味凉粉)and sliced beef in chili sauce (夫妻肺片)are OK dish. But the pork intestine and blood tofu hot pot( 砂锅肠旺米线) are wayyyyyyyy too salty, we pulled whole glass of water then tasted better. And most of the dishes are little bit over priced. Not coming back anymore. Not recommend.
Average Sichuan style food, unfortunately the fried dumplings tasted off?? The meat tasted sour and fermented?? I only mentioned to the owner after I paid, because we weren't sure if they meant to taste like that? Service was good and serving was generous, but food was just average. Maybe we picked the wrong dishes???

I ordered the Hot n Sour Soup for lunch with noodles. My soup arrived and looked like straight chili oil. I had about 2-3 drops of it on the end of my spoon and it immediately swelled my throat. It was the spiciest food I have ever had in my life (and I have traveled extensively around the world). I was on the verge of going to the ER but was able to get ice and cold water down my throat. I was shaking and thought I was going to pass out. I called the restaurant bc I knew something was not right and they just said its spicy. This is way beyond spicy. Now I can't eat and can't stop coughing. Worst food experience in my life.
Just came back there for dinner. For people have Sichuan food palate ,the food itself is just mediocre. Some are greasier/saltier and more bland than other Sichuan food restaurants around that area. Compare to the food, the attitude and the lack of service from the waitress was more frustrating. There’s no service or whatever kind, she didn’t attend our table nor any other tables once during the whole dining time and every time when you did wave her down to get something, and she seemed very bothered, somenow the customers there seems annoys her and she didn’t get a care about the customers. And I’ve never seen a waitress wear a mad face and never made a single eye contact and never used a single’thank you or please’ before. Some people just doesn’t mean to be in the service industry or needs better training for sure. They definitely could improve their customer service for sure. My bill was $38,and I tipped her $5,the whole time while I was signing my receipt the waitress was in front me and I gave the receipt back to her,not even a single smile or thank you was given. What were you expecting, lady? Were you expecting me to tip you $20?Better gratitude comes from true care about the customers experience and the appreciation from the customers.
As soon as I walk in I’m rudely greeted with “to-go” only. No hello or anything. Proceeds to rush me and won’t even hand me my receipt and blandly throws it in front of me rather than handing it to me. Very rude girl at front counter.
I came to have dinner and I chose the food by the large picture shown at the glass.the waitress said that she didn't know.so we chose by the menu and it turned out the wrong one.also the attitude of the waitress giving no nice hospitality.i went there 3 times before and order by pointing at the glass and the other waitress understands the menu that I pointed at and it turned out the right ones.i didn't know why this waitress didn't understand as the previous one did.
I used to come here all the time to get their steam buns, and its always is delicious, i think it really depends on what you get because i did try some noodles there i can’t remember what it was but it was very bitter and i couldn’t even eat it because of how bitter it was. I recently came back and of course got the steam buns. I ordered 2 boxes of it, realizing about a minute after i ordered and paid for the steam buns that it was a bit too much so i asked for 1 box refund. The lady cashier was extremely rude, yelled at me and said, “no they are already cooking.” She didn’t had to yell she could of just said no. I found that really disgusting and wrong. I never yelled at her but simply asked if a refund was possible. Treating a customer like that is wrong. Will not be coming back. Stay away from this disgusting restaurant.
Should have trusted the low google maps reviews… So many issues with this place. 1. The Beef Clay oven roll looks NOTHING like the picture in the menu. Compare yourself. And the crazy part that the waitress is gaslighting you that this is “normal” that dishes look different from the menu…lol if you look closely, it’s different bun/dough, different meat, different filling. It’s a completely different dish. But the waitresses refuses and tries to make you look like a fool. And then she goes back and talks about you with her colleagues… not knowing i understand chinese 2. The flavors have nothing to do with sichuan. Dan Dan Noodles are sweet and have no peanuts in it. This is some laowai version of it. doesn’t taste authentic at all 3. during my 40min visit, three other customers were complaining about issues with their dishes. And the staff always acts like it’s customer’s problem and not their. I have never seen this kind of attitude. I have absolutely no idea how this place stays in business. Who would ever want to come back here? It will remain a mystery for me, until they hopefully close soon.
First off the bad reviews are on point according to our experience. Where do I start. We decided to try this place because we are people who like to try new places and things. This was one of the places in China town that wasn't packed or had a waiting line outside. Soon as we walked and sat down the vibes was not good. The waitress was just dry as could be. We ordered something of the menu and that was also advertised with an image of the supposedly the soup you would get. Once we got the soup it looked nothing like the picture. So I asked the waitress about and she responds "its just a picture" very dismissive and just walks away. We didn't not enjoy it and we left it but still payed for it. She definitely needs training on hospitality and customer service. Never offered to fix it or give us another option. We were never checked on. Never received offer for second refills. Also did not like the 2 ladies their were prepping dumplings and peeling peppers with their bare hands at a table across us. Keep in mind all while picking up dirty plates from tables and touching all kinds of things. Also if people that come to your restraunt that are not of your culture it's important to be welcoming and open as they may have questions. But soon as other customers entered their restraunt that were of their culture it was like they pull out the red carpet. Then we had to get up and ask for our check because the lady was too busy sitting at a table on her phone. 🙄 I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WE WILL NEVER COME BACK.
I also should have trusted the low google reviews… Haven’t been to chinatown in over 5 years. I chose this strip center for the evening and walked around so I stumbled across this place. It looked nice. I got 2 items that are advertised in the front of the store with large pictures. I thought the waitress was nice, but for some reason she tried to bring me wonton soup when that wasn’t what I ordered. The food is tasteless, needs salt. I don’t recommend this place and won’t be giving it another try ever again.
Strongly not recommend it. They should rethink about how to run a restaurant. Chairs are uncomfortable. Space is unacceptably narrow. Fry rice is over salty with not too much vegi or meat. Buns are not made by themselves. You need to bite hard to find meat. Dough is thick. Look at the noodle. All about noodles. It’s almost $15. You don’t even put more than 5 pieces?

They definitely could improve their customer service for sure. My bill was $38,and I tipped her $5,the whole time while I was signing my receipt the waitress was in front me and I gave the receipt back to her,not even a single smile or thank you was given. What were you expecting, lady? Were you expecting me to tip you $20?Better gratitude comes from true care about the customers experience and the appreciation from the customers.
