We went here for dinner our last night in NYC.... To say it was outstanding would be an understatement! Unbelievable presentation on our appetizer and steak and lamp chops cooked to perfection. Sides were generous and not over the top. Too full for dessert but they had a great selection of the traditionals. Quiet Cozy atmosphere.... 2 thumbs up. 5 stars no doubt. Already talked about going back our next trip.

Absolutely a 5 star experience all around. In NYC for just 2 days, booked lunch here. Had phenomenal oysters, a wonderful prix fixe lunch with a filet mignon that was by far one of the best I’ve had. Service was friendly and professional. Cheesecake yum!

Great meal and very attentive service. We didn't have reservations and were sat right away. The dining room is very comfortable and well decorated. The bone-in ribeye was perfectly cooked and the side of fries and mac and cheese were delicious. The lemon cheese cake was also a must.

I had an amazing experience at Royal 35. Was greeted by the owner Adam when I came in and I was very impressed just minutes into my experience here. I was then handed to a server named Val and again amazing, excellent service. Coming from Canada where everyone’s supposed to be nice is no match to what I received at Royal 35. From start to finish, a definite must go if you’re ever visiting New York or of the locals want a place to go for a special night out. Oh and the food, probably the best steak I’ve ever had, meat would melt in your mouth and portion size was great. 12/10 rating !

We chose Royal 35 to celebrate my son's 11th birthday and the entire experience was amazing. The service and everything we ordered was exceptional. A wonderful experience overall. We'll definitely be back next time we're in NYC.

The food was very good. We were pleased with all appetizers, sides, the porterhouse, and the dessert. I do think the cuts at Keens were a bit more decadent, but these cuts were extremely flavorful. Steak comes out on the hot plate with boiling butter. Service the best I’ve had in an NYC steakhouse. Waiters were very attuned, from taking coats, making sure glasses were full, and even plating our meals when the food came. Atmosphere was tight but cozy. I am used to the larger real-estate from the classic steakhouses, and felt the main dining room was a bit tight. I found myself inadvertently hitting passing waiters with arm movement from time to time. The red coloring of the room is perfect for overall theme — meat.

Such an amazing experience by an amazing staff and the food lived up to all our expectations. Highly recommend this place if it’s a fancy date night or a night with the boys eating steaks and drinking bourbon.

I just wanna say. This place is fantastic! Amazing ambiance, staff, and food! Had dinner with my SO for her bday and it was hands down one of the best meals from a steak house we’ve had ( been to Keens, Peter Lugers(awful), Gage & Tollner, Christos, Ruths Chris, etc— you get the picture). We had a porterhouse for two which blew us away. It was juicy, medium rare how we enjoy it, tender/ melt in the mouth and just the right amount of salt. Easily a 9.5/10 for a porterhouse. We had the sautéed broccoli (10/10 - I’d eat that everyday if I could, but I also love broccoli so excuse my bias comment. It had garlic and a lovely butter flavor as well) and the mashed potatoes (decent but not my go to. Prob an 8/10 to me, but my SO loves potatoes so she’d say 10/10 since it didn’t get firm after it cooled a bit). Dessert was the tiramisu and that was the best I’ve ever had. It was perfect— Moist, full of flavor and the right amount of sweetness. Cocktails and moscato also hit the spot. I recommend the sherif old fashion hands down. All in all, this place is perfect and we will definitely be back. The hospitality and food were incredible! What else can you ask for!?

Good service will definitely go back absolutely in one of my top 10 for New York City steakhouses Higher end place but some what out of the way from the busyness of Midtown near Penn Station it's far enough back that you feel like you're out of the mix. 7.2022 hit the sea bass on my last trip here - awesome. One of their best meals. Nice piece of fish great portion.

After tasting the dishes, the praise makes sense. The menu is priced for everyone. oh yes, the team's attitude is refreshingly positive. They use special components to create excellent meals. If it's good enough for me, it's good enough for me.

We were greeted immediately by the staff and shown to our perfectly situated corner table. Our appetizers, salads and steaks were delicious and well seasoned. To finish our meal, we’re provided with a complementary cheesecake. It was the perfect weekday meal to end our trip in NYC.

Stunning food. The service was great until literally paying for the bill... A lot of attention on two big groups and we waited almost 15 mins to pay.... HOWEVER... the staff handled it great and were so excellent in everything they did The manager kept an eye on guests and made us feel welcome. Food and service was fantastic. Started with the most amazing tomato and mozzarella appetizer, then enjoyed the porterhouse for two ($109), the mac and cheese and the creamed spinach. The wait staff sang happy birthday to my girlfriend and gave her a delicious orange cake with ice cream on the house. Great experience. Would go again, but believe the $$ on Google's page is misleading and should be increased.

One of the BEST steakhouses I‘ve ever visited ! The food is just awesome good and the whole atmosphere in the restaurant is breath taking - the staff is making the experience even better as they are very helpful and nice. Tip: ask for a table not in the main hall but next to the wine shelf in the floor as you have your separate space

This is one of the best steakhouses I've been to, the steak was delicious and our waiter was outstanding. I ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. The potatoes and spinach sides were generous and tasty. A perfect restaurant for dinner.

A great date night spot. Good food and friendly service. Can’t talk about atmosphere much as we were sat right next to the front door for our reservation so we didn’t see the restaurant. From what we could see, it was clean and quiet enough for conversation. Very busy so book a reservation.

This steakhouse is truly amazing and our group loved it. The wait staff was courteous. I ordered the crab cake for an app., was delicious also had the lamb chops which were tender and tasty. My party ordered a filet mignon and a porterhouse for two, they had a blast with it, was served sizzling! The sides were generous portions, sauteed mushrooms and spinach. The red wine our server recommend was flavorful. Truly, everything was just perfect. When you visit the City and looking for a good restaurant you ought try this place. We had a great meal and a wonderful experience.

I didn't know what to expect but was praying our night would be amazing here. We were first timers celebrating my husband Royal's 46th birthday!! The ambiance was everything perfect and intimate. The food, everything was the bomb!! Our waiter was attentive and who I believe was the general manager was on point walking back and forth making sure guest were getting the best experience. The desert was an unexpectant complimentary treat and was delicious. Pricey but definitely worth it!!! You only live once and I believe you celebrate the ones you love!!!

The experience was Absolutely amazing!!! The waiter's were excellent and very knowledgeable of the menus and what wines to pair with my meal. The chef visited our table to see how we enjoyed our course which included one of the best ribeye steaks I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly throughout bursting with flavor. It was a great fine dining experience. I am a local and always check out new spots but this is one of the places that I'll continue to visit again and again. Amazing food, great environment, good music without it being too loud. The owner/management was very pleasant and welcoming.

Seated quickly, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. You could see the waiters checking each table as they passed to sure that everyone had what they need. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the server who bought it out also helped dish out the sides that we ordered. My table had filet mignon & New York strip. For sides we had asparagus and mushrooms. The asparagus was flavored with fresh garlic, and the mushrooms included onions… It was all delicious! Our waiter brought out some dessert wine as well, it was a nice sweet Muscato. I highly recommend this steakhouse and I would definitely return. They have outdoor seating options as well as indoor and a bar.

There are so many great adjectives to describe this restaurant. I came on a Wednesday at 6pm for a party of 4. We were greeted and seated right away. Covid protocols were in place. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Customer service was great. The manager checked in on us twice. I appreciated that extra added value to our dinner. Our server Remi (spelling) was the best. Let's start with the delicious drinks. They were all good. The Royal 35 Martini, Royal 35 Cosmo, Sherif's Old Fashion and LI Iced tea did not disappoint. They were the perfect strength and just so good. Shout out to the bartender. Now to the food....EVERYTHING was delicious. Lamb chops, sea bass, prime rib, lobster mac n cheese, calamari, bacon....just cooked and seasoned to perfection. I have to separately mention the spinach. I have never had spinach so good. Please visit this restaurant and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I am a fan and I would go again.

Should have known I was in for a treat when I saw the air dryer as I walked in! Unbelievable quality! The porterhouse for 2 was 32oz and was more than enough. Didn't really touch the sides we ordered but they were nice. Creamy spinach and fries. Hands down the best meat dish I have EVER had!! Worthy of a honeymoon dinner.

We headed here for their 3 course lunch menu and it certainly didn't disappoint. The portion sizes were just enough for us, and the food was excellent. The staff were attentive and recommended an excellent bottle of red to go with our meal. I definitely recommend.

Great quality steak that is cooked to perfection no matter how you like it. After eating I didn’t feel all sluggish and tired, the steak sat well in my belly. The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and invested. Everyone was on there A game. The red wine, asparagus and broccoli complimented the steak very well. Being from the Midwest and having grown up on a large cattle ranch and being extremely finicky about beef, I was initially skeptical about a steakhouse in NYC. The instant we walked in and saw the giant meat cooler where they were dry aging their beef I was beyond impressed! From start to finish the meal was perfectly done! Our server, Ash, did an amazing job taking care of us with the highest level of service! Every single dish that we tried was perfectly executed from the dry aged bone in ribeye to the filet to the orange butter cake. It was our friends birthday and they brought us all a delicious liqueur as a finish to an already impressive experience. When we were leaving we got to meet Sherif....the owner and he was so gracious! There is nothing they could have done better!

We are visiting New York; it was my first time as my wife used to live here. We found this place, and it was exactly what we were looking for: a steak restaurant but felt genuinely New York. Our waiter was outstanding; I wish I remembered his name, but he had been with the restaurant since Day 1, and the food runner was awesome as well; we would ask for a sauce, and before we knew it, it was back on the table. Also, try the cheesecake.

We went to Royal 35 on a whim last night while taking in the Christmas festivities in NYC. Although we didn’t have a reservation on a very busy Tuesday night, Adam (I’m not sure of his exact title) was incredibly gracious and accommodating and told us to come by after our stop at Rockefeller Center. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty by Adam and the entire staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. We felt truly welcomed which only added to the overall experience and made the already great food even more enjoyable. We ordered the crab cake, the porterhouse for two, and onion rings. Everything was delicous. The steak was cooked to perfection: buttery, tender, and full of flavor. We had dined here once before about eight years ago on Thanksgiving, and had a fantastic experience then as well. Royal 35 continues to deliver. Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful ending to our day in the city.

What a pleasure ! There are many steakhouses in NYC, but this small, quaint one had it all - atmosphere, service and amazing food ! I was traveling alone and sat at the bar (seats for 4 at the bar proper and a few cocktail tables) My host for the evening was a lovely man from Albania, Sheriff. My steak was perfectly medium rare and the wine recommendation paired perfectly. There is a small area for outside seating on a beautiful night and the staff if friendly and accommodating.

Words can't express how on point he was with suggestions, check-ins, timing, and professionalism. Very easy to chat with. My wife and I had an amazing dinner the other night at Royal 35 Steakhouse. From the food to the service, it was extremely amazing, and the cocktails were delicious. I love what they crust on the fillet and cooked it perfectly to my liking. We finished off our dinner with more cocktails and tiramisu. I only got 1 bit, but it was delicious. The only thing I would have changed was the butter packets. I wish there was whipped butter for the bread for such a high scale restaurant. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed everything, and we will be back!

Great steakhouse priced comparably to other top tier places and they are not afraid to give you a real rare steak. Decor is nice and roomy. Really good orange butter cream cake. I would go again.

It was my last day in New York and So I came in for lunch. Ordered porterhouse and it is well-aged and perfectly cooked. Service was pretty standard too. The only thing is that the bill already included gratuity so you could be double tipping.

Solid steakhouse. Steak was excellent and well made. The house cosmo was great. Both appetizers I had were on point (tartar and oysters. The interior lacks a feeling of uniqueness but it’s a solid great location for a good steak.

Didn’t happened because they were closed! 🤭🤫😐 Found Royal 👑 35 by accident and decided to give a try and see the meat aging cabinet, walked in and seat at the bar and start ordering, got pretty large wine menu and couldn’t decide what to drink 😅😅 I waned to try everything 😂 asked bartender for recommendation and got good wine 🍷. We were so hungry and just wanted to eat something 😋 ordered medium Prime New York Strip Steak 🥩 and got medium rare! Didn’t complain and just wanted enjoy my Christmas night and eat my dinner. 😉 However, service was pretty good, classic decoration and great atmosphere! I would put Royal 👑 35 to my third place 🥉 My first favorite place: Taste Of Texas in Houston Texas, Two: Nusr-Et Steakhouse Istanbul location, and third: Royal 35. Wine menu was fantastic, awesome 👏 The experience was Absolutely amazing! For next year I am expecting little cool menu, Especially T-bone 🥩 on the menu, hope they can added 😉 and promise I’ll checkout as soon as can. I’m very happy I discovered this place by accident and met with Sherif, I will stop by soon with loved one and pick a Albanian bottle of wine 🍷. First, I'll say that the ribeye was perfect. Perfectly cooked in the inside with a nice crispy crust and the fat was perfectly rendered. The sea bass was excellent as well, no complaints there at all. The crab cakes were decent as well. The Mac and cheese and asparagus were pretty average. My biggest complaint was just the chip ice in the old fashioned.

The steak was excellent, the house sauce is ketchup would not recommend, the pepper sauce was pretty bland. Mashed potatoes were done perfectly, lobster mac and cheese was very boring and had nothing extra to it. From a service side, we basically had to ask for everything. Which is fine if you go to steak houses often and know what you like and want, but does take away from the experience.

Food was great. Service was the absolute worst I've ever had at a highly regarded restaurant. I would not go back or recommend it to anyone based solely on the service. I've gotten better service for a $30 bill at Applebee's as opposed to my $500 bill at Royal 35.

Sadly, the service didn’t meet the same quality as the food. We arrived a few minutes early and were greeted by the coat attendant, she was very nice and welcoming but the host or I assume from some of the reviews, the owner, couldn’t be bothered to even greet us and the coat attendant asked if we had a reservation. The host/owner seemed agitated when the coat attendant mentioned we had a reservation and made several rude comments to her. Meanwhile, the phone was ringing so the coat attendant answered because no one had answered, this warranted the host/owner to rip it out of her hand and then apologize to whom ever was on the phone. The coat attendant profusely apologized to us for not being helped and was very nice to us. After several minutes we were sat by the host/owner. From then on our waiter was very nice even though we only saw him a few times. As I said the food was amazing! Both my husband and I ordered dessert and I received my coffee promptly. About 10 minutes later, we received the check but still no dessert. Another 5 minutes go by and a different waiter comes for our check and we ask for my husbands dessert. Ultimately, we got the dessert and the waiter very generously took care of it which we greatly appreciated. Overall, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was great, I just wished the service had matched that level of quality.

I am posting three stars as we were charged 20% gratuity without being told. Check also didn't mention anything about the mandatory gratuity. I wrote a generous tip while signing the credit card receipt. Later I found that I was charged a different amount. Food was good . Service was good. I am attaching the response to the owner comment as I don't see an option to respond to him. Check attached. As the owner claims, I don't see any mention of 20% gratuity in the check. The owner is factually incorrect. Btw, I am 15-20% tipper usually. But sneaking it in without telling the customers is NOT right.

I am writing to express my concern following a recent dining experience at your restaurant. On 5/22 evening, we dined at Royal 35 Steakhouse with three other guests. The food and service were ok. Unfortunately, shortly after our meal, all three of us (including a toddler) experienced stomach discomfort, and two of us developed diarrhea. This has led us to believe that the cause may be related to something we consumed during our visit. We chose Royal 35 because of its strong reputation and expected a high standard of food safety and hygiene. This incident was deeply disappointing and concerning, especially given the health impact it had on our group. I kindly request that you investigate this matter seriously, review food handling procedures, and ensure this does not happen to future customers. If you require details of our meal or timing to assist with your investigation, I am happy to provide them.

So I want to start out and say that the hostess was one of the best staff members there. She started the night off great with such a warm welcome. I loved the fact that she paid attention to the notes on open table about this being my family’s first time visiting New York. I was trying to take my family out to an amazing steakhouse for Christmas instead we were rushed through our entire service and didn’t even get to enjoy a happy joyful experience. The server was the complete and utter worst! There wasn’t many people on the building for him to be acting the way he acted. Let’s start with his opening to the table (What would you like to order. No greeting, he didn’t discuss any specials. Just kept rushing us to order (mind you once again it was our first time there would have loved for someone to give our table the attention the other server gave the 7/8 top that was sat next to us). The server just did not want to be there and it showed by the lack of service that he gave us. Every time we needed a drink or anything for our table we had yo ask another server or wait staff that were actually walking around the restaurant ( our server was nowhere in site our entire meal). We didn’t even know his name because he never took the time to even say it. The manager made a quick stop to our table, but he was in more of a hurry to go sit back at the front that he didn’t even take the time to listen to me try and tell him about the horrible experience me and my family were having. Multiple time did I want to just leave but my family were all bitting there tongues and. Wanted to be nice about it. Then to top the cake off was the server that was complete trash auto grafting my table 20% which he did because I told him his service was poor. I would put one star but the hostess saved them from just the one star! Steak was extremely charred and had a very riff exterior. Other than that the food was ok but not the best. I honestly wouldn’t return just because the service was really really lacking and there was no experience made in the facility. It definitely will be remembered as a bad experience.

Scam alert! Subpar dryAge steak. Service ok but the wine list was a sham! Listed older 2018 vintages and served 2021 in hopes that patrons would not notice. This happened twice. “We changed the menus but we have not updated the menu” No Bueno! Fooled me twice! Would not support this establishment. Thx

I really had to think hard about this review because it wasn't easy. I want to start with the good part - the steak (bone in ribeye) was great. But to be honest that's it. I do understand that going out into a Steakhouse comes with some kind of premium. But if your prices are high i also want the quality to go with it. There are no side dishes under 10 dollars. The broccoli costs 19 dollars - and to be really honest I have no idea why? It's broccoli and garlic. No finesse no new take on it. Just broccoli and garlic. The fries are fine but the come with a 16 dollars price tag. I probably wouldn't have brought this up when my check hadn't an automatic 18% tip included. (Btw nobody asked and it was nowhere mentioned before) Which is not ok and they know it. Price your items correctly so that u can pay your staff what they deserve (which with the prices you have should not be a problem). So from my experience - yes the steak was good but everything else was just not up to any standard that comes with these price tags. I want to stress the important point-i am absolutely willing to pay for great quality. But royal 35 steakhouse just does not deliver on a 19 dollars broccoli dish or a 16 dollars French fries serving.

I must admit, I expected a lot more from this steak house. I was impressed with the dry aging cabinet, the dark ambience, and the very formal wait staff. I ordered the onion soup, the prime bone-in ribeye rare, and sauteed mushrooms. The mushroom soup was great, the highlight of the evening along with the bread they served. The steak was a disappointment. Rare to me is a cool red center, which I asked for deliberately. The steak was medium on the outside, rarer in the middle, but not cool. In addition, the steak seemed to have connective tissue issues as I found it hard to slice in several places. This is not what I expected from a dry aged steak. The waiter delivered sauteed spinach instead of mushrooms. I politely ask for the mushrooms instead. He returned with sauteed mushroom and onions. This is a rare treat for me. When I spend this kind of money, I expect greatness. I am not coming back.

I made a reservation and had to wait over an hour and a half . The steak I resembled bubbliscious bubble gum . I was chewing so hard I broke out into a sweat . After I was done my face felt so stiff from chewing smh.

Had me wait 15 mn to get my table I wanted a filet, itd saturday night and they ran out of filet Got a new york strip and it was way below average ($70). Bernaise was the worst in history, it had no taste and was just pure butter. Fries were pretty good, salad was decent, wine was below average. Had me wait 15 to get my table, service is below average. Overall very disppointed for the price.

We ordered porterhouse for 2 people. What we got was the worst prepared porterhouse steak we ever had! Burned, too salty and peppery on the outside, probably cooked on an oil pan. Fries also tasted badly, probably deep fried in a reused cooking oil.

Upon arrival, the hostess and the host(maybe manager) greeted us nicely. Reservation wasn’t maybe necessary as it didn’t seem too busy(was weekday dine in). However the attitude from our condescending server(Khatri) who looked down at us since the beginning was a horror. As he did not ‘suggest’ menu, instead he was pushing us to choose certain menu and push us to make a quick decision. We felt very pressured and rushed to choose our menu fast and menu that were more expensive. Also pressured us to order drinks as some of us can not consume alcohol. As we dine, other runners and staff seemed nice but our server almost didn’t bother to check on us, felt like we were left behind. When the bill came, here is the most unpleasing part of the service. There was automatic service charge of 20% for 2 people. Not agreed upon and should not be mandatory. Customers have freedom to do a self tip. We asked the server to take off the automatic gratuity, so we can put our own gratuity, then the server’s attitude changed even more drastically and said in exact word ‘This is how we do’ Wow, I was just amazed to hear this then he said ‘How much are you gonna tip’ throwing the receipt at us. We felt again pressured and felt trapped as he almost threatened us. I can’t believe this horrible service really happened and it need to be concerned by the management. I would be really worried if I were the manager of this place,, We didn’t want to tip at all at this point but we did include tip of 15%. Should have not tip, now I think about it. Wanted to talk to the manager but we didn't want to leave a bad taste. The only good thing was the food. Of course the food should be good since $150-200 dining experience it cost. Great food, however the bill was extortionate, $506 for a set menu and 2 drinks, most of it was made up of tax and service. And now the restaurant has reported us as a no show to Table Top. We have loved our stay in New York, however this has soiled the experience a bit. Update: They charged the 2 of us $76 Gratuity, apparently that charge is applied to 6 people or more. SCAM ARTISTS!!!

Steak is ok but onion Fri quality is ehhhhhh very low quality compare to Keen. Restroom can be better. Very dirty.👎🏻 In my opinion, they could have explained more before making the final order and when they serve it. They can’t even explain wine and don’t know name of wine when I order wine. 🤷🏼‍♀️ FYI, the tip was automatically charged at 20%. Three ppl for $450. This is totally overpriced. We Have Visited Royal 35 Steakhouse on Feb 14th ( valentine day ) reservation was made one week prior to that. We had to wait exactly 1 hour and 20 mins for them to seat us, ( the whole lobby was full of people waiting to be seated ) They had overbooked and took walk-ins last minute, which is not fair to the people whole planned ahead. However the story doesn’t end there, after being seated they took additional 30 mins to come greet us and take our order, for us only to find out there is only option got a pre-fix menu for $175 PP, which didn’t also offer much options. They also never mentioned in during the reservation and also when I called in to confirm my reservation as soon as I booked and also the day of my reservation. The pre-fix menu included one complimentary drink, which was never served for additional 30 mins and no appetizers or starters were brought. This is not how a professional classic Steakhouse operates. Everyone around us had the same experience and was unhappy, I have no idea where all these positive reviews come from. I am not sure if it’s the same Royal 35 steak house or what ?? The food quality was not even no where near steak quality. I had ordered a New York Strip Steak and asked to be Medium, my jaws almost became num from chewing I thought for one second I was at the dentist office getting a root canal. I am sorry but not sorry in the same time but Royal 35 should not even be considered as a steak house. That’s my opinion and it’s disappointing because I truly did have extremely high standards and expectations from Royal 35.

I was surprised to see the amount of positive feedback this place has. Maybe my experience was A one-time Miss by Royal 35. Service was poor and with lack of attention, our server was juggling as the bartender as well sitting was at 7: 00pm main courses arrived to the table at 8:45-a ridiculous time to wait. Steaks were not cooked properly, ribs were not cooked properly, Management team putting a facade of caring but in reality brush you off as they can't handle the stress of running The floor. I will Personally would never come back and suggest that if you're planning to spend top dollar for a top steak experience in NYC, you should go to a different steakhouse. Save your time, save your money. Save yourself

Service: The staff behaved more like prison guards than servers; rude, unwelcoming, and uncomfortable to deal with. Atmosphere: Awkward and unpleasant.
