My first time there and my experience there was amazing. Maira was my server and she was excellent. Will be going back soon
The food at the Sunday brunch was straight gas. They have a chiliquilles and taco bar. I don't drink so I was also a pleasantly surprised to see the triple choice of frescas on the side. My friends took full advantage of the unlimited mimosas while I pigged out on chicken mole and frijoles. I'll definitely be back for more and next time I'll have to try the full menu.
I recommend you to go everyone good music faster waiting time a nice place to be here
I had the pleasure of going yesterday for my birthday and it was such an amazing experience. The food and drinks were delicious and our server Duvan was so kind and helpful. I will definitely be coming back! 10/10 recommend ☺️
Today was my first time at Kalaveras. I went to try their taco Tuesday special. The tacos were delicious and I loved all the toppings they had for them! The staff was nice and friendly and the manager Raulu was very nice and answered all our questions!! Will definitely be back!!
I LOVE this place! We went for my boyfriend's sister's birthday, Anna Maria, and had such an amazing time! Adrian was our server and Selene was the floor manager and the two of them gave our whole party a night to truly remember! From some of the best pork carnitas I've ever had to the fun black-light reactive graffiti on the walls, the incredibly friendly and absolutely irreplaceable staff like Selene and Adriane, to the dope sparklers and shots in the Dia De Los Muertos skulls....This was the coolest Cantina I've ever been to! I would not only go back, but I will be coming back OFTEN! Thank you so much to the friendliest, most wonderful staff I've encountered in all of Los Angeles! <3 They truly went above and beyond! People like this who make you feel happy and appreciated are the exact reason I go back to certain places, always bringing new customers with me! ;) Sincerely, TheAngieScott on IG
Food is excellent, Staff is wonderful and polite, seated quickly, lunch specials, and great for groups! It is new to Burbank, so seating is quick. Capnana was a great waitress!
Delicious food and great background music. Please ask for "Melanie" as your waitress. She is fast, professional and has a beautiful smile. Melanie ROCKS!! She's the bomb 💣
The music and service are top tier. Drinks and food came out quick and we love when that happens oh and Jesus was the best super friendly and attentive!
Great place. Good food. Drinks pretty good but could make them a bit stronger.
Had my birthday Brunch here on a Sunday for the buffet and bottomless mimosas.. the food was good and the drinks kept coming the service was perfect thankful to all the staff that took care of us 🙌🏽 👏🏽💓
Great experience, the ambiance was great, although if you're looking for a place to have a conversation, this is not the place. Waiters are attentive and fast at getting your order,
Fire place! Loved the food and drinks. Vibes were lit and our waiter was dope. Recommend coming here Forsure!
The service is amazing here. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is so nice! Highly recommend.
Took forever for a server to come to the table and i was starving so i went to the bar where I was greeted warmly by Ryall. I was eating within 10 minutes, lol! The nachos were really delicious. I had a headache going in, feeling no pain after the margarita slushy, ha!. The music was banging too. I had a great time here.
The last time we were on San Fernando Blvd., we noticed the "Coming Soon" signage on the old Fuddruckers spot. Yesterday, it had arrived (a week and a half ago). Service was great... place was hopping but we were seated quickly. The atmosphere is very loud — it's that kind of place. The artwork all over the walls is pretty cool, and it must look even cooler at nighttime. We ordered the Guacamole and it was excellent. We ran out of chips, of course, but they brought us more upon request. Drinks were very good. Wife had the Kalaveras Margarita, and I had the thing made with Hibiscus infused whiskey. The Carnitas plate was top notch, and the Mrs. quite enjoyed her Kalaveras salad. The churro sandwich for dessert was crazy-good. We've got two other Mexican locations we frequent in Burbank, but it's good to have options — and will be back to Kalaveras soon!
The staff here is always friendly. A group of us go for happy hour. The happy hour menu is worth it. They have a lot of options.
Always a wonderful experience here. I have been to several locations and each time has been a wonderful meal. The brunch options were delicious, my favorite dish is the chilequelas
Been to kalaveras lots of times about a handful of times over at this specific location (Burbank). I must say this one is by far my favorite. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is great the chef at the omelette station is so great and accommodating with what we asked for. Love the atmosphere the music, the esthetics of the place 🫶🏼 Definitely recommend this place.
Melanie, our server was so sweet & accommodating. Please hire more humans like her. Our group was loud & they even allowed us to dance (we were seated at the perfect spot, next to the kitchen where there was space to get up & move). The prices were reasonable & they played excellent music! The night was excellent thanks to Melanie & her manager who played our fave songs & also the rest of the crew & cooks. Hands down, best restaurant atmosphere & service!
Immediately after the first bite into my Steak taco, I knew I’d be coming on taco Tuesday for years to come. I was blown away by the flavor and quality of meat. I enjoyed the self serve bar at lunch time and had great service. I never knew what I was missing until now. You can’t pay me to eat a taco from anywhere else if I’m looking to be satisfied.
This restaurant has great energy and good vibes. The food and service was great. Great place to watch sports on TV.
I'll start with i do not usually do reviews. But i can't find one bad thing about this place. The food was amazing. We had breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is beautiful and lively. It's clean even the bathroom. The staff was friendly and on top of thing but also not pushy. I give 10 out of 5 stars.🌟
Tonight was my first time stopping in for dinner and I have to say that I enjoyed it. The music is a little loud so be prepared to speak up or move closer. Our server Carlos was friendly and helpful. He saved the day with the habanero salsa. He was honest about the two salsa options for the Burrito Mojado not being spicy, so the side of salsa came in clutch. (Rice, beans, salsa aji verde, Mexican crema and queso blanco. Your choice of red or green salsa) I also went for a Chicharron taco. (Pork belly guiso, pickled onion , queso fresco wrapped in two tortillas.) It had a good flavor and I am looking forward to trying their Birria queso tacos or their carnitas next time around. My wife went with the salmon (spring mix, grilled asparagus, pico, avocado vinaigrette, mango salsa and lime onions.) All in all it was an enjoyable night and we will go back.
Kalaveras is the ultimate spot for great food, drinks, and vibrant energy! The menu is packed with flavorful dishes, from delicious tacos to creative twists on classic Latin cuisine. Their drinks are equally impressive—craft cocktails that are as tasty as they are Instagram-worthy. The ambiance is lively and colorful, with décor that adds a fun and unique vibe to the experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you’re well taken care of. Whether you’re out for dinner, drinks, or a celebration, Kalaveras never disappoints. Highly recommend for a night out or a casual hangout!
This is the best quality service I have ever met in CA! It was fast, always clean. As you done in the seconds they took empty plate, all dirty napkins replaced without any delay! I loved service even more than food. Manager and all waiters were all nice and worked hard! If you want to have a great taker of you while having dinner go there! We came on wedding so they also celebrated us!)
My new favorite restaurant in Burbank! I definitely recommend! The food and drinks are great! We had the Kulichi roll and the Nachos, as well as La Ultima Palabra and Fuego De Dragon to drink. We were also served a basket of tortilla chips with dip for the table. Everything was so flavorful and filling! The music was great and the atmosphere too. The staff was very nice and within 3-5 minutes after ordering, our food arrived quickly to our table.
Great to see this KALAVERAS in Burbank . This high energy Mexican cuisine restaurant is exactly what down town Burbank needed . The food here as in all there restaurants very well done . They offer Brubch lunch and dinner . Amazing taco bar . Amazing cocktails and desserts . My personal favorite is the Menudo . You can also watch your sports games or come have a drink at the bar . Definitely a place to enjoy with friends and family
Went for the Sunday breakfast buffet and it was delicious! Price was not bad either. They had a wide selection. I also noticed the music wasn’t as loud as they are notoriously known for but not sure if that’s just cuz of the time of day. I didn’t have any alcoholic drinks, so I can’t give my feedback on that. Horchata was a tad too sweet. Oh and I saw a fly inside by the window, the LAST thing I wanna see at an open buffet bar. But other than that, I would go again!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kalaveras is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff. But the highlight of my visit was definitely the margaritas. They were hands down some of the best I've ever had. I have to give a special shout-out to Daniela, the bartender. She was fantastic! Daniela recommended a margarita that was perfectly crafted and full of flavor. Her expertise and warm personality really made the experience unforgettable. Another big shout-out to the manager, Celiani. She went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was top-notch. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellent service were evident throughout our visit. Celiani’s leadership truly shines through in the overall ambiance and quality of Kalaveras. The decor of Kalaveras is lively and colorful, creating a welcoming and fun environment. The service was prompt and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their drinks and food. If you're looking for a place with amazing margaritas and top-notch service, Kalaveras is the spot. Highly recommend giving it a try! -
My family and I were at Burbank to visit universal studios for my daughter’s 11th birthday we were looking for places to dime in I came across Kalaveras Cantina our server was Rodrigo he was friendly and very attentive to our table he went above and beyond to celebrate my daughter by bringing her a churro Icecream sandwich topped with strawberry Jam it was delicious food was great and service was great thank you Rodrigo for your great customer service.
I came to Kalaveras in Burbank for the first time ever. As I waited for my food, I watched the manager, “Celiany” doing such an amazing job! She was greeting customers and talking to her employees with a high level of respect. As the owner of a successful business myself, I can recognize that she is a true leader. She smiles genuinely at each customer, while providing them with efficient service. She sets the tone of a warm and inviting atmosphere for her employees, as well as each guest that she interacts with. Celiany definitely represents Kalaveras well! She undoubtedly makes a positive contribution to this establishment, and to each customer whom she interacts with. I was truly impressed!
Great customer service as usual. We love coming here as a family. Everything taste so delicious and the drinks are so good. Great server, very friendly and attentive. (Eligio Brito Roman).
I’m so surprised they were empty on a Tuesday night! First time at this location - it’s huge. And clean! We were seated right away and helped by Desiray. Ordered the fajitas plate and a few tacos. I tried the steak, carnitas, and Barbacoa (my favorite). They have a special on taco pricing on Tuesday, so the plates come with just the tortillas and meat. There is a self service station for the rest. Worked better for me because I don’t like anything on my tacos (weird, I know)! Yummy food, fun music, great location, friendly service, and fair pricing. Their happy hour menu also has tons of great stuff. Must try!
this place did not dusapoint food was good drinks was good desert was good the waitresses friendly man everything about this restaurant was on point so its def a 10/10 i loved it and its a deff a must return next time we in brurbank.... folllow me on my i @bearlocstarr1 thank you
Friday afternoon was the perfect time to try this place. First time here and I have to say the food is amazing. Growing up in LA but currently living in Washington state makes you appreciate the rich flavors of SoCal food. Granted, there are plenty of Mexican food in Seattle, but for some reason, they don't compare. There are plenty of other options for Mexican, but I would recommend this place. Atmosphere is good, not chubby as other people say but it's all subjective.
great taco Tuesday 🌮😋 Our waitress was right there to put in our order for more tacos 🌮 and kept them coming and drinks too. Also had good cucumber 🥒 aqua fresca too. We had an early lunch and the music was at a nice volume. We got there when just opened.
I met up with my friend for his birthday and this might be my new favorite Mexican nightlife/bar/restaurant. The vibes very lively with constant birthday celebrations via Party style signs. I ordered their carne asada and it was phenomenal and delicious. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Their sushi was pretty good also and the shrimp version was on point. Their chips and salsa were also great. A nice table starter. Their rice and beans were good with the entree. I really enjoyed their ceviche, good amount of tang and meat. Their chicharon taco was also delicious. Their churro sandwich was an excellent end to the dinner. Overall it was an excellent experience with excellent customer service. My server did get the wrong name(female name) on the sign for my friends(male friend) birthday celebration but his attentiveness and service towards us made up for it. I’d definitely come back again and try their other menu items. Parking can be a little tricky but worth the trip.
My family and I used to frequent this location when it was Fudruckers. I always thought the place had a neat layout and I think they used this location really well! I haven't been during the day, but the night vibe makes you feel like you're not in Downtown Burbank, but transported to another place entirely. The music they play is lively, upbeat songs in Spanish, while the lower part of the restaurant where the bar is, shows sports on the tvs. The atmosphere is dark and colorful, with black painted walls full of fun neon colored paintings and signs. There are quite a lot of tables, and we went on a weekday night so we got to sit right away, but I can see the place really filling up during the weekend and events. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and informative, telling us about popular items and describing them well. Everything sounded so good! I ended up getting a sushi roll (which sounds kind of strange at a Mexican restaurant) and it was super yummy! It was a little heavy, but very filling, I couldn't even finish the entire thing. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, everything was very flavorful and well seasoned. Overall we had a really great time and would definitely go back to try something else!
I took my wife here tonight to celebrate her birthday. I made reservations off OpenTable because I know this place can get busy since I pass by here a couple of times. We arrived like 15 minutes early but they were still able to sit us. My wife wanted something downstairs near the bar so we for seated there. The music is louder down there so be aware. We came during happy hour so I was able to order off it. I got the buffalo wings which were bone in 5 pieces and the 3 soft tacos with carne asada, chicken and barbacoa which the waitress recommend. My wife got the chicken mole and a strawberry margarita per the waitress recommendation. I got a coke to drink and I didn't know it was the one in the glass so no refills. My wife liked her strawberry margarita but said it was a little strong. Then our food came out quick, my wife enjoyed her chicken mole. I didn't really like my soft tacos because all 3 meat didn't have that much of a taste. My favorite was the buffalo wings, they were spot on and delicious. We got a new waiter for some reason so I decided to also try their loaded asada fries which the waiter said was good, I just asked for extra pico, no guacamole and no cream. The fries took a while to come out and I will say it was not my favorite. During this time, the employees also came to sing happy birthday to my wife and bring her a flan dessert. The customer service here was amazing, when they saw I was done with a dish they came right away to clear it off the table. The manager who was the guy in the suit was standing around paying attention to every guest and brought is extra napkins without us asking. The music can get loud later in the day so be aware of that but I would recommend coming here to try it.
Amazing food, amazing staff and perfect location. Delicious Mexican food in large portions served with a smile from start to finish. Highly recommended
nearby parking garages, I believe the first 2 hours are free. Nice environment with plenty loud music, kids can be present & loud, they do have a kids me menu, it’s not listed so you must ask. Drinks are great! Start off with the happy hour if you can! Nice bustling area in Burbank? We will return, especially for happy hour.
Great food, drinks and service! Went for brunch on Saturday, it is a great option. Chilaquiles were great! And the Mimosa flight looked amazing. Very attentive service. I actually live near the Kalaveras in North Hollywood but only went once and swore to never go back because it was so obnoxiously loud. This one is so much better! So glad something finally happened with the old Fuddruckers.
Date night once again, and this time, we went out with some friends. We landed in Kalaveras on Taco Tuesday by accident, and the place was pretty busy! The interior is very bright colored on dark background, illuminated by flourescent neon lamps that make the colors pop in a very Latino style illustration. There are many big screen tvs that they might use for game nights, and they have a happy hour from 3pm-7pm mon-fri. The drinks were very good too, I had a Margarita al Tamarindo. I had the Quesbirria Tacos, 3 regular size Tortilla tacos filled with barbacoa, and served with a consommè dipping sauce and a really good spicey salsa that I couldn't see (very dark), only detail: they were supposed to be crispy. My wife had the Esquite (street corn), which for my taste was a little bit mayo-forward. My wife also had the Taquitos filled with potatoes that were also delicious. The other couple that was with us took advantage of the taco Tuesday and ended up getting 6 tacos with 3 different fillings. You can then go to the salsa bar to add all your condiments. The tacos are a little smaller than the usual street tacos, but they only cost $1.49 (fish is not included in the offer). For dessert, we had the Flan and the Churro-ice cream sandwich, which we devoured. I might have preferred the Flan to be chilled more, but maybe that's just me. The service was very polite, and they offered to help my wife with the lift. It was just a little strange that there weren't any silverware or napkins, and I would have liked for all our food to arrive at the same time. Overall, it's a VERY good bite for your buck! Everything we ordered tasted great, and the service was very energetic (don't give them a hard time on busy nights! Order another drink!) Lastly, the tip of the day (server for 8 years): ALWAYS be polite with people that handle YOUR food! Wink wink......
Place was very nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and checked on us regularly. Great food and it tasted great. happy hour was awesome with $1.50 tacos!

Stopped in late at night and service was still great! We just ordered appetizers to share & the food was plenty, tasted good and drinks were nice & strong. Also loved the decor ... great vibes all around. Will definitely come back to try more food.

Great food and service! BUT please do something about those horrendous kitchen lights shining through and on our dinner tables-- its a total vibe kill.
The place is great for a fun night out! The drinks and music is very much for the Latin culture. You can't go wrong coming here on Tuesdays for their specials.
Kalaveras in Burbank is a lively spot perfect for celebrations. Highlights from our visit included the flavorful Steak Nachos, unique Dragon Roll, tangy Tamarind Margarita, delicious Esquite, and rich Enchiladas de Mole. We were here for a friend's birthday, and it was heartwarming to see the staff and patrons join in singing the birthday song. The service can be slow during peak times due to how busy it gets, but the waitstaff are always friendly and accommodating. Overall, it’s a great spot with a vibrant atmosphere and tasty food.
We had a wonderful time celebrating at Kalaveras. We had a reservation for Sunday brunch and arrived a little early and only waited a few minutes for our table. The place wasn’t too busy when we arrived while we waited for the rest of our party. Staff was nice. Nobody really explained the brunch menu or process, but they did come around for drinks. Brunch is on Sunday and is reasonably priced as advertised. You can’t order off the menu during the brunch hours. They have a good selection of items some breakfast standard items plus tacos, omelette, bar, posole rice beans, tamales a good variety of food. The dessert was just OK. They did have Horchata and another agua fresca as part of the brunch options for no additional fee. Staff was really friendly, but they do get busy and we had to ask for things occasionally like utensils and napkins overall looks like a fun location and good music. Parking is a little challenging on the main street, but there is a parking structure on Orange Grove that is free on the weekends.
4-stars. Good for sports on TV. Great Carne Asada. Civiche was too limey. Shrimp enchiladas was awesome. Pitcher of jalapeno margaritas was ok.

Cool looking place, food is mediocre drinks are great. Food in my opinion is low quality.
The food is good, the service is also good the only bad thing is the music is very loud and you can hardly talk to the person you are going to spend a pleasant time with...... the music is also very varied from extreme to extreme. extreme of songs.... from banda or corrido to classic rock!! I like all music but I think that music has to go according to the place in my opinion.... I am not against any genre of music, it's just that the change of musical genre should be less abrupt..... Another most important thing that I noticed and I think that if you have to agree with me is the following.... The bathroom door opens from right to left and it is wrong!! since the urinals are in that direction and you can see when you open the door the men using the bathroom and I don't think it would be fair to be seeing that if it were a woman ???...... Since the women's bathroom is at the back and they have to go through the bathroom door and I wouldn't like my wife or daughter to witness something they have nothing to see..... and much less the people they pass on the street, since the bathrooms are in front. ..... the bathroom door has to open from left to right.... this way incidents are less likely to happen.....
I like this place , the colors are pretty and the lighting makes it look cool inside , however Destinee was not so great as a server she really didn't get it right at all . The waiters around and busboys all ignored us as we asked for help , just uggg all together . The ceviche was not what I was expecting , no flavor for that price . i'm use to the traditional way it's served , in its natural juices . Overall I will give it 3 stars .
I love a fun bar vibe, but I went with a buddy and we struggled to talk over the music (plus insanely loud whistles they blow for birthday celebrations). Drinks labeled as maragaritas were more like crafted coctails. Everything is generally pretty pricey.
Okay, but wished the online vegan options were actually available in house.
Went here for Taco Tuesday and it’s a decent value even when considering the amount of meat per taco was still a bit on the lighter side. Toppings were self-serve which worked out fine. Server came by just the right amount of times to check in on us. However, the place is WAY TOO LOUD and a smidge too dark for my taste. Felt like I was in a club and had to yell at my friend to make sure he could hear me.
Came with my family for a quick bite on a Saturday, early evening. No waiting to be seated. The atmosphere felt like a sports bar. I didn’t get the eating and dining feeling here. Everything is fairly open. More like a local hangout place. Not too busy at the time that we came. I did notice a full bar area. We all wanted some seafood so we came to try it out. I ordered the aguachiles, and it was good. My daughter ordered the Ceviche and that was good too. Nothing different than other places. Our waiter was nice and pleasant.
The food was not good to me. Our asada fries were served cold and the buffalo wings were barely warm. We sent the fries back and they brought out new ones only slightly warmer than the first. The 1/2 Yard happy hour drinks had hardly any alcohol. We received our bill and they charged us for 2 asada fries. We didn't figure it out until after we left. I would not go back.
It was my first time coming here and was disappointed with the waitress. We sat down at a booth and the waitress came up to us and handed us the menus. She did not say a single word to us and didn’t smile. As we looked through the menu she came up to us again and brought us water. But didn’t bother to ask if we wanted anything to drink besides water. She was extremely rude. She went to the front desk to sit down. We were ready to order but she didn’t even acknowledge us. We had to get someone’s else attention. I understand she wanted to go home but at least try and attend the last table with good service. So obviously we complained about her, and the guy was much nicer and very apologetic which I appreciate it. We were finally assigned with another server. I think his name was Carlos and he was excellent and attentive. He was on top of refills and providing extra napkins. Food came out fast and was delicious. I also enjoyed the music they were playing. Not sure if I’ll be back. But overall, the experience was okay.

Cool place to get a beer and antojitos. The food is ok. The place looks really cool. Not a place for a romantic date. I had the chile rellenos and enchiladas. They were ok. At least I didn’t get sick. I had the el jefe drink. I don’t think it had liquor in it.
Well what a disappointment It’s no longer Kalaveras It’s now Mariposa’s Sadly this location was doomed It was never managed well and the food was just too greasy We’ve been long time customers of the Kalaveras in San Pedro and the one in the Hollywood Riviera (both fantastic) But this one just didn’t seem to pull it off Music was always way too loud Service was marginal Food just wasn’t up to snuff What a shame really We didn’t stay for mariposa’s menu tonite
The dour hostess who seated us did not give us cutlery or napkins. We waited quite a while for service, but our server was excellent. Ordered a few of the specialty drinks and two à la cart tacos with guacamole and chips. The $130 before tip seemed pricey. At least it was loud and impossible to have a conversation. Won't be returning.
The theme and atmosphere are ok. We went in for an early dinner. In my opinion this place is good for drinks, not food. We ordered some food. And it was bland and had no flavor. The food could have been a little bit more on the portian size. It seems to be stingy on the sizing. The drinks were the only good part of the meal. We tried the margarita flight. 3 out of 4 were good. This is my opinion. As for me, I would not return to this restaurant.
I went to experience their Sunday brunch. Other than the pozole, omelets, and taco station, the rest of the food was cold and not covered, the mimosas were just orange juice, and the place was extremely loud. For the price, you're better off going to the Acapulco brunch in Glendale.
Food was disgusting. Canned beans, turned onions, old rice. Server was nice, atmosphere is chill place but drinks food overpriced. Definitely not worth what they charge. People need to demand quality and not take this type of trash.
Very cool vibe, and beautiful interior. However, the food was not very good, it was way too expensive for what it was. $14 for literally a dish of some very normal guacamole? Also, they asked us if we wanted it, and it wasn't clear that it was going to cost anything. It was a very fast and curt with hardly a chance to process what the waiter was saying. The food came out fast but it was... Fine? Not worth the premium price tag. One of the employees also started very loudly moving silverware from one bin to another, on the table beside us. It lasted for about 6-7 minutes, and was very disruptive. Not to mention the waiter barely talked to us, and we had to flag him down multiple times since he was kinda just talking to the front hostesses the whole time. We came away feeling quite negative, and will probably not come back. Come for the blacklights and vibe, but maybe if you go to the bar or something you'll have a better time?
The food was cold, and $24 for a regular michelada was too much plus, 22% service fee was worse for our small family. Definitely, not going back to that place. I love Mexican food, but many places out there offer better food and drinks for lower prices without service charge. Do yourself a favor, and just don't go there.
So unfortunately this place Ruined a Good Friday Evening out with Some of my Girlfriends. We chose this spot because my friends have came here before. Unfortunately today was definitely something different. We ordered 6 Margaritas and Appetizers. After getting through the first round of margaritas, we realized that we weren’t even really feeling them. It was almost more like a headache because it had way too much sugar And very little alcohol. So we ordered another round and we finished those but halfway through we couldn’t even finish them because Realize that it was more sugar than anything. Pretty much drank 2 margaritas and no buzz at all somethings wrong. The food was OK, but definitely not temperature. Also, we ordered some enchiladas and they were not the best at all. Definitely dry and just not what I thought it was going to be. Definitely not authentic. Don’t get me wrong that atmosphere and customer service is great but the food and drinks I wouldn’t risk it because after we left me and my two friends ended up getting very sick and spent hours in the bathroom pretty much ruining our night out. Called it a night right after. Very disappointing to pay $150 bucks to pretty much have diarrhea for the night.
This place, oh boy. It's LOUD. Incredibly loud. When I walked in, I instantly dug in my purse for earplugs. There used to be a chess club that met here. I can't imagine that. The food is certainly alright. No complaints other than the fact the menu is kinda limited. In place of having a robust menu, they have a lot of mixed drinks and margaritas, which is the real star of the show here. The restaurant is also pretty dark inside with teeny tiny tables. With the dim lighting, ample drink menu and blarringly loud TVs and music, it feels more like a club or bar than a restaurant. Wanna talk to your loved one? Ha! good luck. You better hope there's no birthdays happening, cause the waiters walk around with deafening whistles.
Super disappointing first experience tonight. Grabbed the queso fun Didi and four types of tacos and they were all bland and flavorless. Not even up to the standard of Guisado’s down the street. 4.50$ happy hour beers are nice. But vibe is weird 10+ tv’s playing YouTube music videos. And they turned all the lights down at 6:15 on a Thursday night “to get the party started” the server said. You can see how dark it was in the pics. Server was nice but bar service was slow for drinks and they made a whole tray twice and double served us. We told them we already had our drinks.
Everything was great, or so I thought, I was there saturday had a great time, but then Sunday morning I was dying after I got food poisoning, please stay away from the chicken here.
Wow how this place has fallen off. The food used to be so good but once they started expanding they changed the menu and the food is just awful now. Slopped together and made so cheap and fast. Drinks are still okay and the atmosphere is still good but they got cheap and petty with the food. Sad because this place was good, all of the locations are the same now. I do not recommend anyone come here anymore.

Overpriced alcohol drinks. For two water down drinks I was charged $40 plus gratitude. Ill stick to my regular spot Tequilas in Van Nuys.
Groups of 6 or more beware. Gratuity is already added even if the service is bad. They will then refuse to adjust/ take it off, claiming they can't. Only a manager can. When you ask for the manager, they'll say their not here and to come back to speak with them. Food is good. Maybe just take it go/ get it delivered.
Hard Pass I went there yesterday to celebrate my niece‘s birthday and I had a horrible experience. The Service was horrible, The Food was forgettable! I will never go back to this location ever again! I don’t care how cute it was. I Will Not be going back! Do Not go to the Burbank location!!!!!!!!
If you want mediocre service, then this is the place for you.Let me explain .when arriving with a reservation, you will still end up waiting.if a few of your party are not present, they will make you wait before seating you down .As by experience it happen to us.waited a good 25min to be seated and the another 15min for a server to attend us.By this time everyone was annoyed.Mind you the place was more than half empty, but many staff people just running around aimlessly.anyways the food was not a wow factor. Will never got back to the Burbank location.
This restaurant definitely not taste mexican food I feel bad food quality horrible meats that they use totally not good. Plus this place not crowded I guess people having bad experience overpriced my money and time wasted here! Do not come dont let the ambience fool you food not good at all
Unfortunately, the service wasn’t good and plus they add the tip and they don’t say anything and we were only four people because they expecting to you to add extra tip when they not even went back to check the as to the table we were calling for service that was the only time when they show up so customers be aware when you pay
I had an awful experience at this restaurant. I was charged $35 for one drink and water, including an upgrade to expensive alcohol that I never ordered. When I pointed it out, the staff refused to fix the issue and acted like it was no big deal. To make things worse, my friend was charged $50 for guacamole and a margarita—completely ridiculous for what we actually received. The portions were small, and the quality didn’t come close to justifying the price. We ate with a group of people for a holiday party and they were clearly trying to take advantage of us and steal our money. This place is a complete ripoff. The food and drinks are overpriced, and the service is shady. Don’t waste your time or money here!
Very good atmosphere, but the food was underwhelming. I explained that I could not have hot and spicy food. So the waiter suggested the bowl on the lunch menus. The rice in the bowl was excellent and tasty. The bowl was loaded with a lot of salad and tasteless chicken strips. There was also a tiny amount of black beans. I was given hot sauce with the bowl. I asked for some kind of sauce that was not spicy. I was given taco sauce, which was spicy. Since I ate the rice in the bowl, I asked for some dressing for the large salad that was left. The ranch dressing, which I was charged $2, was not very good. I decided to take my salad part of the bowl home and add my own dressing. In order to pay for your meal you must relinquish your credit card because they do not utilize the EMV terminals. Maybe they should have purchased those instead of all the big screen TVs.
The girl servers who worked the evening shift on 9/16/2024 were absolutely unprofessional. After being seated, all of them would stare at my husband & I but did not approach us. We waited a total of 25 minutes in the booth and not once did any of them acknowledge us. They would help the tables next and in front of us but would pass right by us or not make eye contact when we would try to call them. I was finally able to get ones attention & after asking her if we could be helped she responded in such a rude manner. Truly such a terrible experience.
I was surprised when i got my check and they charged me 44 dollars for 2 very small Margaritas way over price compared to Don Cucos down the street. The restaurant was empty my server was naw and the food again over priced and tasteless I don’t recommend this place at all.
Food was not good! We tried asada taco… way too oily, not good at all ! Tried chips and salsa… worst salsa ever! tasted like water !! No flavor at all ! Tried shrimp ceviche … not good at all. Shrimps were like elastic!!! On the other hand, Drinks, margaritas, were good !
I gave this place a second chance but the underperformed both times! First we celebrated a friends birthday and got charge a 20% gratuity for the amount we spent, not the amount of guest, we brought it to the server and she ignored and instead pointed that we need to leave a tip on top of the gratuity. Then we went to Sunday brunch, the food had been sitting for hours and it was cold! The only fresh food was the tacos and omelets! Server will come around whenever she feel liked to top off our bottomless mimosas! I really don’t recommend this place
2nd time there, and they are still trying to rip off just like the 1st time. Yes! They over charge you! Check your bill before you pay. Your bill will include items that you never ordered and/or the prices you see on your receipt is probably higher than what's indicated on the menu. Always check the menu prices. Food is nothing to brag about, and music is too loud that you can't hear the people sitting at your table. Not going back.
We were there Saturday around 2 pm. Service was bad and food was ok. My daughter found 2 hairs on her plate they did credit her plate but after finding them we lost out appetite. We asked for water and we never got it. Cocktails took forever to get after we ordered. Will not go back to this location.
