We happened to stumble upon this gem when looking for a bite to eat before the game. And we were NOT disappointed!!!! The Sunday brunch Buffett was amazing!!! Absolutely some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Our server was the sweetest person ever. 10/10 and HIGHLY recommend.
Great spot. Great lunch options Drink, salad, and entre for $20. Fish sandwich was amazing. Sweet potatoes house chips very good. Dog friendly! They didn’t have Parmesan so couldn’t get Cesar but the southwest salad with balsamic was a perfect pivot They also validate parking in the 2 Wells Fargo Tower deck right here
Stopped in for dinner tonight. I’ve been here once before traveling for dinner. Jesslyn at the bar was fabulous and you can tell she connects with regulars, which is awesome for a great bartender. I had the fish special for the evening, bass, with farro beans, carrots, a few capers. DELISH! It could have had more capers, but that’s just me. It was the perfect dish for a cold night. I didn’t need it, but was tempted by the pecan tart. It also was just the right size, for a few bites of something sweet. I didn’t finish, but it was also fabulous. I highly recommend this little hidden gem. Especially if you are traveling and staying at Hilton or Courtyard by Marriott, both are a very easy walk.
This place is probably one of the best restaurants in Uptown Charlotte. Service was great. Felt like I was being treated like VIP. The Horace’s Crispy Chicken Sandwhich was absolutely amazing. I was practically licking my plate after I was done. As for the atmosphere, part of their restaurant overlooks the entire square with a great view of outside.
A must try Sunday Buffet happens every Sunday at Mimosas on tryon street uptown Charlotte . The have a great combination of quality foods and you never know when they will surprise with tasty oysters or shrimp . This is definitely worth the price . The service was amazing from the hostess Neek to Kaley who is an amazing bartender.
Creative, upscale farm to table style dishes. Drinks were also unique. Upgraded to premium alcohol for some of the items. Redfish and Salmon were excellent. Brussels were not crispy but manager was responsive. Waitress was outstanding.
First time here. My son ordered the steak and egg sandwich that was not on menu but a special. Oh my goodness, it was one of the best meals ever…. they should put it on the menu!! He said he’s not tasted a steak any better at a Ruth’s Chris. I agree, it was so flavorful. Not sure what other ingredients other than the pesto but it was out of this world! I had chicken and waffles and we also had an omelette. All delicious!!
Great service and delicious food, if you're willing to shell out a few dollars. We ordered the Lobster Mac N Cheese, the steak burger, and the Pan Roasted Scottish Salmon. The portions were decently sized; Mac N Cheese came in a fairly large portion, enough so that if one person ate it all they'd definitely be full. The food matches the price.
Kasey and Andrew took great care of our table! Also, it was a pleasant experience because we enjoyed the food, the music wasn't too loud, and the service was prompt. The Wagyu Skirt Steak was seasoned well, and cooked to my satisfaction. It's been a while since I've been to Mimosa Grill, but I'm glad that they are still serving the Charlotte community very well!
I’ve only been here one time before now and that was years ago!!! The food was great then and it’s still great now! This restaurant is located in the heart of uptown. When you walk in, the lights are dimmed which makes it perfect for dinner dates! We were greeted upon arrival and escorted to our table which was a cute and cozy booth near the open kitchen. Before I get to the fun stuff… **shameless plug** Don’t forget to follow me on IG at Foodjunkie704 Ok so let’s talk about the food and drinks! I ordered the champagne kiss which was super cute and tasty and I also ordered a margarita! They did not skimp on the alcohol! Appetizers Salmon cakes - This was amazing! You get what you pay for! Not a whole bunch of filling but actual salmon! It sat on top of an aioli that was out of this world good! Crab dip - Ok listen! This is not just a “crab dip” this was a delicious pan of deliciousness! Lol! I know what I just said makes no sense but that’s exactly how I felt about this dip!!!!! Again! No fillers!!! Just a ton of crab meat with smoked cheese, and fried ham!!!!!!!!!! OMG it was amazing! Main Course Deconstructed Lobster Ravioli - I hardly ever order pasta! There was something about this dish that grabbed my eye. I’m so glad I ordered it! This dish was bursting with flavor! Every bite was phenomenal! I mean my taste buds were literally having a party!!!!! This dish was loaded with lobster! I didn’t have to go looking for it! The deconstructed ravioli stole the night!!!!! It was phenomenal!
It was my first visit at this restaurant and it was the greatest experience. Brice was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the menu from the wines all the way to the dessert. My friend and I tried the dishes he recommended which was the Pappardelle Pasta and the Skirt Steak…. 10/10 recommend! Then he suggested the cake that’s pictured (sorry forgot the name) and it too was fantastic! He was very attentive, kind and again made this a great experience! And then we ran into the bartender Tiffany who validated our parking and gave us a shortcut to our cars. The staff, the ambience, and food is something you have to try!
Our waitress, Jennifer, delivered outstanding service, and the food was exceptional—just check out the photos! If you’re in downtown Charlotte, I highly recommend giving Mimosa Grill a try.
We went on a Friday evening during CLT Shout and they had an amazing singer on the porch, he was fantastic and really set and amazing vibe. We had two drinks, French 75 and a specialty cocktail, both were delish. We got the charcuterie board to split and it was super tasty, definitely one of the best I’ve had in charlotte! Service was also notably excellent, quick and friendly. Fabulous location in uptown and very nice for an evening out.
The crab and pimento puppies were amazing! The restaurant was beautiful and quiet. All the food was amazing but most of all the services was over the top! Hayes was our waiter and he treated us like queens 👑🥰
Very nice place. I was a former employee back in 2006. First and only job I've ever had as a waiter. Came back to visit NC and wanted to try their brunch menu. A lot has changed in those years but the atmosphere and quality has remained. I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Eggs cooked to perfection. Could use a little more gravy, other than that I enjoyed the meal. Great service from the waiter. I believe his name was Alex. He is a professional in any capacity. He made the experience worth while.
We went here before a show at Knight Theater, the food and service were top flight. Very nice dining room, we could look out onto the square when they had mini golf.
We couldn’t find a place for brunch without the wait being over an hour. This place had a half hour wait and it was WELL WORTH the wait! The food here is phenomenal, the staff is great, the environment is welcoming! If I wasn’t stuffed, I would’ve ordered another plate! I loved the yogurt, too (it had a maple taste to it!)
Had a brunch reservation with friends during Pride Sunday. Had the fried green tomato blt w/sweet potato fries plus a side of cheesy grits. The BLT was to die for. The fried green tomatoes paired with the bacon were savory on savory with the perfect amount of acidic flavor, perfect for your taste buds.
Slow service but wow was the food amazing!!!! Definitely worth the wait. All the wait staff were really nice as well. Great ambience, great food and so worth the time. I would highly recommend grabbing dinner.
Mm mm Salmon. What a creative pairing, nuts and quinoa in a Salmon Salad it was a great combo and just the right size for lunch. The chicken was also fried to perfection. Flavorful meat and greens that taste farm to table. Happy to come again.
This was a brunch experience that I wish to recommend. Pineapple mimosas were simply delicious, food was great and the atmosphere very relaxed and enjoyable, we’ll be back next time we’re in Charlotte😋
Food: Pimento Cheeseburger. Exceptional. The fries were cooked perfectly. The pimento cheese crab bites melted in my mouth. Moonshine sangria tasted like fall has arrived. Service: friendly and prompt Atmosphere: modern upscale vibe with southern grace.
I love 𝐌𝐈𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐋. A waiter at Tupelo Honey suggested we eat here. The family enjoyed our breakfast! Service was PHENOMENAL 👏🏾
Great brunch. $35.00 per person is a little steep but great for special occasions. I think for that price they should at least throw in a cup of coffee and juice. But is was really good food.
Davis is a fantastic bartender. He recommended drinks right up my alley! Amazing atmosphere and quality service!
we came here for the first time on a Saturday evening, and we’re truly pleasantly surprised . Every dish we had was perfectly prepared. The menu is seasonal and everything was spot on. Really frankly one of the best meals I’ve had in uptown Charlotte! Service was attentive with a general manager, paying real attention. What was going on in the dining room and being very friendly and interactive with all the guests. We will definitely return.
Got to Mimosa Grill on a Sunday 30 minutes before closing time. Our orders were taken and the food arrived quickly. Everyone enjoyed the food. Great fried catfish and tasty coleslaw with seasoned fries. Wait staff was friendly. Would not hesitate to return.
We were so pleasantly surprised and impressed with the meal that we had here. Everything from the drinks to the appetizers to the special of the day entrées and even the Keylime pie dessert was excellent. The level of detail and attention to fresh, well prepared was very impressive and we are definitely coming back. The manager was friendly and attentive, and also admired that he was working and helping the staff, not just pointing his finger and directing.
My husband and I ate lunch at Mimosa on September 15, 2025. It is one of our favorite restaurants to go to when we are in Charlotte North Carolina. The atmosphere and the plaza that surrounds it is very welcoming and warm. The staff is always very friendly and excellent at their jobs. Our meals are always spectacular. You can tell that they have a true chef cooking the meals. We actually did eat off the dinner menu selection at lunch because we were flying out that afternoon and could not come back for dinner. We especially want to mention personally Steven Lesiak and Joanne Dill. We highly recommend Mimosa Grill in Charlotte NC.
Maddy took such great care of us. I have gluten and dairy sensitivities and she didn't miss a beat. It is very common that a server forgets or the kitchen forgets and we need to do a couple of rounds. And this was such an easy and delicious and delightful dinner. Thank you so much! I highly recommend Mimosa grill.
I eat there every week and the food never disappoints. The daily specials and the 2 for $20 deals can't be beat. Madison always takes great care of us, as do all the servers.
This place has it all and I love that it’s sourced locally with a seasonal menu. Smaller options for lunch, hearty dishes for anytime. Staff is very attentive making it feel like you’re in the FINEST of dining establishments. Crab cakes are out of this world and the grilled chicken sandwich is probably the best I’ve had. Fancy craft cocktails as well, but I didn’t get to try those, but I will be back!
Likely one of the top five brunches I’ve experienced! I grew up with grits as a kid near the coast, the grits topped with shrimp CRACK sauce… OMG!! (Sorry mom:). My entire group of seven could not say enough good things about the entire buffet!!
Great experience. Celebrated a special occasion and the staff ensured everything was perfect. Served and manager were both fantastic and created the experience. Good was very good also. Would highly recommend.
Mimosa Grill in Uptown Charlotte sounds like a breakfast / brunch spot but I actually came out here for dinner with our business partners. It accommodated our large party and we were seated in a rather spacious area. The service we received from our server was excellent. She brought out all the appetizers and entrees we ordered, as well as the bottles of red and white wines including some fancy cocktails. I stuck with a simple dish of meat and potatoes but envied the “prettier” dishes my colleagues ordered. While the presentation of my dish was lacking, the flavor was good. Texturally, the meat was a tad bit overcooked for my liking. I did enjoy the olive oil cake for dessert. And the smoked fish dip was okay. The ambiance is what makes this restaurant a favorite. The building outside of Mimosa Grill was beautiful walking in but even more gorgeous at night with the dark skies and bright lights from the building. Overall, Mimosa Grill was able to cater to our large group while providing excellent service. I had a wonderful experience thanks to our server!
My wife and I came to Mimosa Grill for a Saturday night date night recently. We were seated right away at 7pm as the place was only about half full. We chose a patio seat and we are glad we did because the weather was great. Our server was great and our experience was overall good. We ordered the Chicken Pot Pie soup, Strawberry Burrata Salad, Kale Caesar Salad with Salmon, Asparagus and Brussel Sprouts. Everything tasted great except the brussels which we ended up sending back. We would definitely come back again!
Great spot to have brunch. I would make a reservation for guaranteed seating. Also you cannot be seated until all your party has arrived. Staff very friendly!! Very well kept restaurant. The food was delicious!!! Server Hailey was great!!! Definitely will be back!!!
Stepping from the Wells Fargo into Mimosa is like stepping into another world. A refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the corporate world. The lunch prices are very good considering what you get. In my case, the Wagyu skirt steak for a treat. It was perfect with surprise spice so don't dig in with an empty glass. For a late afternoon lunch, service was not great. I run thirsty and usually have two glasses of tasty beverages and need refills. Everyone was great until my plate landed on the table then no one checked in on me. They were quite indignant when I got up and went to the bar to ask for refills. After that, they brought me a pitcher of water. I kicked back until the Valentine's reservations needed the table.
This is a nice trendy place to have dinner. We had the chicken entree and artichoke hearts and they were delicious! The dessert was disappointingly small and called "chocolate pecan pie" - it was pecan pie with mostly pecans and not much filling with ice cream and chocolate sauce on it. If dessert had been as good as the rest of the dinner, I would give this place 5 stars. I will definetely be back!
This was a very tasteful and pleasant experience. They were able to change our reservation last minute and did it with a smile on their face. I had the chicken dish which could have fed a family of four, but let me tell you... it was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. I grew up in the south and this is something to be beat! The staff was great and quick. It’s a great place for a celebration.
Really nice place, great atmosphere. I had the steak and eggs and it was amazing!! My daughter had the HUGE burger and she was really happy with it.
I really enjoyed the service I received here. You can seat on the inside or on the patio. That berry spritzer drink is a must as well as the crab dip. The crab cakes were a little too mushy for “my” liking.
It has been a while since we have dined at Mimosa Grill, but we came in for brunch today. I made the reservation through Resy, and I have to say, I do not like having to add my credit card for a reservation. With that being said, the food overall was really good. The cheese Eggs, the French toast, the potatoes, pasta salad, all were good. The items were not hot, but I understand at a buffet, that is difficult to achieve due to the nature of the set up.. Our server Hayes was great. I would definitely return.
While the food and food service were decent, the overall experience was disappointing due to unprofessional behavior at the time of seating. We arrived only 5–10 minutes before our reservation, yet were asked to wait after entering, despite the restaurant being largely empty. The staff member at the counter was polite, but another staff member from inside was unnecessarily rude, which left a poor impression and overshadowed what could have been a decent experience.
So the wife made a reservation through the Mimosa Grill website. She reserved a window seat for 2 at noon on a beautiful Sunday—prime brunch time! We were excited to visit Mimosa Grill and walked there from our Uptown hotel. Once we got there our excitement turned to disappointment pretty quickly. Our reservation was not saved in their system, my wife was able to pull up our confirmation email but our table was unavailable. We ended up being seated in a booth in the bar area, not ideal. When you have your mind set on Sunday brunch watching the city’s sights and end up stuck behind the bar, it’s not a good way to start things off. Our waitress, Hailey was nice. The food was pretty good. I ordered the steak and eggs which was tasty. I asked for the eggs to be cooked over medium but they were way over cooked. My wife’s sausage patties were probably the star of the show. As far as drinks, we ordered pineapple mimosas and they were pretty basic. Perhaps a pineapple garnish would have would have made it more aesthetically pleasing. Overall, maybe we’ll go back but the reservation mix up really put a sour taste on the entire experience. If you make a reservation, I would call to confirm.
Had reservations for a party of 6 during for lunch on a Tuesday. Seated nearly 20 minutes late of reservation. Atmosphere is a combination of a Ruby Tuesdays and an Embassy Suites and the service was terribly slow. Food was better than expected and most of the table enjoyed the 2 for $20 lunch; just not sure we'd return based on the experience and ambiance.
The level of service for the amount of money paid was subpar and not a place I'd recommend. 40 per person for two courses is what we were given. Initially, the place looks beautiful and welcoming. The bathrooms were relatively clean and the host was nice. We were missing the vegetarian option on our menu which was not a big issue. Our servers could use a little more attention to detail when dealing with large parties. Anna and Erin (?) were nice but their section seemed too large to dedicate proper time to table maintenance. We sat with our finished appetizers for 15 minutes. I started clearing the plates hoping that would spur some action from the staff and it did. The table was set for the amount we asked, however, the set-ups for those who did not show remained on the table for the entire evening rather than being cleared. The appetizers were pretty good. I ordered the NY strip for dinner, I received entree silverware which was nice, and it was decent for $40. One of our guests ordered a chicken and it was not until half of the table received their entrees that a manager, who didn't mention their name, told us they didn't have the side item for her chicken. It took about 10-15 minutes after everyone else had their food for hers to come out. Not sure what happened in the kitchen but they were not busy. Our guest said it was good but not worth the wait. I appreciated that they held our desserts for us while we ate and they boxed/bagged our leftovers for us. At the end of the meal, I paid for a couple receipts as did others. When the server brought it back, she attempted to give me someone else's credit card twice. Giving cards back by name would eliminate this. Overall, it wasn't terrible but it could've been way better. SN: Not sure if they do anything for birthdays but nothing was done. This is not ancillary.
I did not like the steak and eggs. No flavor and they do not have steak sauce. My boyfriend had shrimp and grits. He said that was good. We had no idea who my server was until I asked for steak sauce. Don’t mimosa flights here. They are named after a tree not mimosa drinks. Expensive and Will not return.
Went with table of 12. Several order the sirloin steak. So fatty that we didn’t eat half. Fingerlings were cold. Kids had the best menu. Service was good. But so disappointed in my $38 steak. At 6:00 on Friday night we were the only table for awhile. There’s your sign.
For starters, of many choices for brunch in Charlotte this is the place I picked to have brunch to celebrate my birthday. We had a reservation for brunch and were warmly greeted and sat at our reservation time. Once sat we placed orders for drinks, and by the time the waitress returned we were ready to place food orders so we did (approximately 1:15). After we placed our orders, we waited until well after 2:30 before our food was even served, and to add insult to injury the waitress checked on us 1-2 times during that timeframe ONLY to tell us “we’re backed up”. There were only 7-8 tables actually seated in the dining room, and for that to be the case the temperature, quality, and service should’ve been way better. When our food FINALLY arrived, it was cold (lukewarm at best), unseasoned, and there were literal scraps on some of our plates. There were atleast 2 managers rounding the restaurant, and not once were our concerns acknowledged or validated. After it was all said and done, all they had to offer was $65 off the entire bill of the table (about $8pp) and expressed “this is the busiest we’ve been in 2 months, sorry”. I am beyond dissatisfied, and I highly regret that I chose Mimosa Grill for brunch to be celebrated by my family and friends. It was such an unpleasant experience that I don’t even see myself returning at all in the future.
