Don’t give 5stars but yes I do here!! Brisket melts off your fork. Super good boudin and cobbler!!!!!!! Omg wish I lived here!! 20yrs in biz and it shows!!
We had to come to Crockett TX for a load of rock. It being lunch time, we searched maps for restaurants . We found Doc's BBQ. The staff and owner were amazing, they accommodated our picky eater and made sure we tasted everything. They will allow you to alter your choices. Everyone is friendly, the place is clean and food is out of this world. We live 50 miles one way and will come back to Crockett just to eat at Doc's BBQ. Try the Dino Ribs. They are an MEAL on it's own. Dino rib is bigger then my straw.
Awesome people and awesome food The ribs were delicious, apple cobbler was phenomenal, the two sides I got were green bean casserole and beans, both are very very good!! Would recommend
First time coming in. I was impressed with the food. The amount they serve. It is plenty for leftovers for me. The gentleman that helped us. Was very informative. He took the time to check on us while we were eating. He explained the weekly specials. I will be coming back on a Sunday for fried chicken and cornbread stuffing.
The staff are very nice and helpful! They are always welcoming and friendly every time we come. The food is also great! If you’re craving BBQ, this is a great place to visit!
The lean brisket was smoked perfectly and some of the. Est brisket I’be ever had. Pinto beans were spiced and cooked well and that BBQ sauce had the right amount of heat with the slightest touch of sweetness.
Not only is this place an incredible restaurant, but their catering service is truly something special. If you’re ever considering BBQ for an event, I would recommend this company a million times over. We reached out to Jeremiah and his team to cater a celebration of life, and words can’t express how grateful we are for everything they did. From the very beginning, Jeremiah was kind, responsive, and so easy to work with. His team went above and beyond in every possible way — not just with the amazing food, but with their care, professionalism, and attention to detail. They provided everything we needed for a full-service experience — buffet equipment, beverages, plates, napkins, utensils, and even delicious desserts. They handled the entire setup and tear-down, which allowed us to be fully present with our family and friends without having to worry about a single thing. The food was absolutely delicious, but what stood out most was the warmth and compassion this team showed throughout the entire process. Jeremiah and his crew truly made a difficult day a little easier, and for that, we are so deeply thankful.
unexpectedly delicious. For a place that shares a location with a gas station. It really stands out. Fantastic brisket and fantastic ribs. Didn't even need a sauce. the interior is unique. and certainly worth a visit. I wouldn't be surprised if it makes the next top 50 in Texas monthly.

Meal was delicious. Brisket was moist and tender. Enjoyed some jalapeño poppers wrapped in bacon and filled with cream cheese that were so good! Also enjoyed broccoli rice casserole and peach cobbler. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Hometown Atmosphere.
Driving through from WA. Had to stop. I got the brisket plate with coleslaw and peach cobbler! I added burnt ends to the order!!! Great bark and the burnt ends! Everything was great! Service was super friendly and they had smiles on their faces!!! I highly recommend Doc's if you're every in Crockett!!!
Frances's pinto beans were the best ever, ANYWHERE. Big Mac put together a chopped brisket sandwich moist just perfect. We will definitely be back. Judy Tyo
First time dining there, DEFINITELY won't be the last! The owner came out and spoke with every customer dining in the restaurant. As for the food, the sausages were great, but the "House Blend" sandwich with the "Baked Potato Salad" was beyond great. Thanks again for the outstanding service. Keep up the great work guys! Big Mac greeted us today with a big “Howdy” when we entered. First time trying this place with my brother and it was finger licking good. Got a 3 meat platter with ribs, brisket, and chicken breast. Everything was seasoned to perfection and moist. Big Mac also came by to check on how everything was to see if we needed anything. Great food and service highly recommend!
We stopped for dinner at this BBQ restaurant attached to a gas station. The brisket was great! (I learned that moist means more fat so we went with the lean). The people were very friendly and helpful. It was after 6pm and they close at 7, so they were out of many things. It's attached to a gas station, so don't go for the ambience, but they made an effort on their seating area.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that this wasn't just the best BBQ experience of my life but the best dining experience at a restaurant that I have ever had. My family and I were on a road trip from CA to LO and happened upon Doc's BBQ in Croquett, TX. We were delighted by the quality of the food, but what made Doc's truly unique was the service. The staff was genuinely concerned about my interests and desires. They basically were trying to help me customize the order to fit my families needs. This included genuinely listening. After this, the owner of the resteraunt, Jeremiah, came over and engaged us in conversation for about a half hour while we ate. He genuinely listened and cared about us and shared part of his story. He also gave me a free copy of his book "Jesus and Barbeque," which was full of his own personal wisdom and experiences from running a successful business based on God's principles, values, and even recipies. Would give them 10 stars if I could, and I will find a way to go back for more.
Doc’s has the cure for your hungry with really friendly service, great Q and reasonable prices. Counter serve. Brisket has nice spicy smoked bark, ribs sweetish spicy and tender, jalapeño sausage has mild kick and good flavor. Green bean casserole good enough for Thanksgiving dinner. Pintos could use a bit more salt and spice. And they have beef ribs! Giant, smoky, tender beef ribs! $24 for a 3-meat is hard to beat and easy to overdose, inducing a food coma.
Place is amazing, stopped by and had to try the ribs and brisket. Brisket falls apart. Seasons are made in house. Left full and definitely going back. My nephew is still talking about his plate 2 days later. Do yourself a favor and go.
Was looking for a quick bite on my trip home to College Station. Stopped for a potty break and couldn't resist the smell! And boy, am I glad I tried it. Everything was amazing. Originally planned on 1/2 brisket. After sampling the beef rib.. that changed. This place has it going on! The brisket peanut butter and jelly is to die for. Don't be scared. Just try it!
Very good fried okra. Good pork sandwich. Potatoe salad is a little sweet for my taste. It wasn't horrible but I wouldn't get it again. Great customer service.
Great service & friendly staff! Pulled pork sandwich 5stars !!! Sliced sausage good flavor overall but skin is a bit tough. They have amazing potato salad as well! You Sign up for deals with your phone #. Area was clean with plenty of seating.
Pros: Just as advertised, this place offers a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff, especially the older lady who was a delight. The food was solid, and the location is convenient, right off the highway, making it a great stop during a long trip. Cons: The only minor drawback is that they don’t have their own bathroom; it’s shared with the convenience store next door, but it’s honestly not a big issue. While the food is good, it’s not necessarily extraordinary. Pricing: Reasonable and in line with expectations. Overall, I’d rate it around 4 to 4.5 out of 5
I arrived at about 4pm Saturday afternoon on the 13th. I had the ribs with greens and potato salad as sides. Normally the BBQ ribs are fantastic but today they didn’t taste bbq’d. They seemed baked instead of bbq. The greens tasted very generic and bland. Service was great. Also there was no dessert like the cobblers.
It was my first time there. Food tasted ok. Just wasn't worth the price. $60 for 2 plates and 3 sausages. 2 slices of beef and 1 sausage...and the sausages were well overbooked...not worth the price I paid
