Turkuaz

Had our outing to this easy on the eye establishment on Saturday night. Boy oh boy did it deliver the goods, succulent glistening meat that has just been made love to by the grill and possibly the chef. Either way my chops were ten to the dozen chowing down on this what can only be described as a what looked like d day beach (meat laying all over it) but instead was all sorts of protein packed goodness on one big jumbo platter for 3 of medway’s tradies to tackle and we won just about!! I will certainly be visiting again to go for round 2 with the jumbo platter. I left the place walking like John Wayne who had just attended a Henry the 8th type feast! Top marks bravo!

Fitted us in at very short notice. Food excellent, salad and bread at the start we thought would be chargeable due to the very generous portion but on the receipt we found free of charge. Staff friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. Will definately return again.

The food, staff, drinks everything was perfect. Delicious helpful and friendly. We came for our father’s birthday and we were very pleased with the service and impressed with the food. One of the best restaurants in Kent. Much recommended xx

I had a lovely meal and the staff were very nice. I’ve been back multiple times and quality never fails. The food was delicious and portions were more than adequate. Got my fill and had a lovely waiter by the name of Ashraf. Very attentive and the staff maintains great quality each time I come👌🏾

Turkuaz delivers outstanding flavour, friendly and efficient service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The mocktail was superb, but it was Mr. Ashraf’s service that truly elevated our dinner—turning a great meal into a memorable evening. Our waiter, Mr. Ashraf was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely personable. He anticipated our needs and added charm that enhanced our evening. Specially it was our anniversary date night, from making sure our drinks was alcohol free to checking we had everything we wanted. The service at Turkuaz is exceptionally wonderful, and Ashraf certainly lived up to that reputation. Highly recommended—for authenticity, warm hospitality, and a genuinely enjoyable dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

The rastaurant looks really good and the staff is friendly. The food is a bit pricey compared to similar restaurants in the area but it's very tasty so definitely worth it for a family meal.

Had an amazing experience at Turkuaz Restaurant! Went with friends and family, and everything from the atmosphere to the service was spot on. The place feels super warm and welcoming, with a great vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy every moment. The food was absolutely delicious. The sea bass grill was the highlight for me—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and so fresh. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Also, the drinks were on another level. I tried the coconut cocktail and it was incredible—refreshing, smooth, and just the right touch of sweetness. Honestly, one of the best cocktails I’ve had in ages. The staff were so friendly and attentive, really made the experience even better. Highly recommend Turkuaz—can’t wait to go back!

I came here for the first time last night and all I can say is I’m so disappointed I live 3 hours away! Not only was the food absolutely spectacular, the portion sizes were amazing! Everything was well cooked and extremely tasty! But what really stood out for me was the service! All the staff were extremely attentive to all the small details which really make the difference between a “good” place and a truly excellent one! The complementary salad, breads and dips at the start of the meal were exquisite, and I honestly couldn’t believe they were free given the quality and amount provided! As soon as my glass bottle was empty it was removed from the table so as to clear space, perfect for service IMO as there’s nothing worse than a table full of empties! The atmosphere was wonderful, the decor beautiful and the music choices were easy going and well thought through. As a solo diner on this visit with work I had a chance to look around and all the staff seemed happy and smiling and it really made a huge difference to see such a well gelled team! All this and the price was really really reasonable! Take away rub pretty much provided without me asking really, I suppose that’s a standard question when you get so much for your money! Amazing place!

The Food presentation with a starter was lovely, was very disappointed to see the main course. It tasted alright, but no salad was served, and for that little Rice with Chicken was £19. Even the Vegetable Kebab Dish was big cubes of vegetables cut and Grilled. It didn't come with Hummus and as described on the Menu. Service Charge added £10 which we took off the Bill. The restaurant atmosphere was quite nice. Main Menu needs to improve magnificently.

Finally found a good, authentic Turkish restaurant in strood/rotchester! The food was hot, tasty and fresh, service was good. Can’t wait to return

We were trying to find new place with good food. Came across randomly on Google reviews. We went there without reservation, the restaurant was very busy but staff was kind enough to give us an outdoor table. We ordered Prawns, mixed kebab platter, chips. Food was served on time. Food was delicious. Staff was very welcoming. We didn't regretted our decision to go there. Portion was adequate, price was justufied. Overall it was a good experience. Plenty of free parking space is available. I recommend reserving a table in advance to avoid any disappointment. I will visit this place again with reservation to try indoor experience.

Turkuaz Restaurant was such a great find! Went there with family and friends and honestly, everyone left super impressed. I had the Alinazik, which was absolutely delicious – creamy, smoky, and packed with flavor. The mixed kebab was spot on too, super juicy and perfectly grilled. You can really tell the food is made with care. The cocktails were a nice surprise – really well made and not your average drink menu. Great balance, creative flavors, and just what we needed to kick off the evening. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for a group hangout. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back – highly recommend Turkuaz if you’re looking for quality food and a great vibe

Absolutely loved our experience at Turktaz Restaurant! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. We started with a delicious starter that set the tone perfectly for what was to come. For the main course, we had the mixed kebab, and it was absolutely amazing — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. A special shoutout to the yogurt shish — it was a standout dish that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting! The cocktails were crafted to perfection, and the dessert was truly out of this world — the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal. We had no reservations on a busy Friday night yet the manager/ friendly man in charge made sure we had a table in under 5mins. Food was yummy and the portions very generous, the food came out very quickly and you get lovely warm bread, dips and salads as complimentary. Definitely was top notch ambience and beautifully decorated. Will definitely be going back

Outstanding food, professional service, and a wonderful dining environment, truly customer-focused. Everything was of a very high standard. Strongly recommended!

Booked ahead of time- the service was good, the food was tasty and fresh. A family meal that catered for vegetarians. The soup was flavoursome. The Salad was crisp and textured with a tang to the dressing. The Pida was packed with vegetables and cheese on a thin base. The 3 courses for 4 people was very reasonably priced too.

Me and a colleague went. Were came out pregnant. The portions were massive, with free flatbread and salad as well it was one of the best tasting dishes I’ve ever had. The service was lovely and quick throughout. If ever I am near somewhat I will personally make a diversion to eat here again. Cheap as well for the quantity you get.

When the plate of freebies came, I was already impressed but then they switched us to a big table very kindly. And then the food was amazing, service was incredible and fast. 1000/10 see you next time!

Welcoming and accommodating staff. Had to reschedule our appointment for 9 people with ease! Welcomed with a smile! Ordered two jumbos where the meat was tasty and had the charcoal flavour! The ribs were my favourite salted and flavoursome. Love it! Accompanied the mains with a Turkish tea The Kanefa desert was simple Amazing! Freshly made and flavours were well balanced and not too sweet. Wanted to try the Bakalava but they ran out unfortunately, will have to come back to try them. I have to mention the place is well decorated and right by the river for a peaceful touch! Thank you and will be back again!

Omg! Immediately served complimentary delicious fresh zingy salad and fresh warm out the oven flat bread. All servers helpful and warm. Great Turkish music. And the fooooood! So much, so delicious. This is our favourite. The decor is lush. We feel honoured to spend out money here. The house red is our favourite. Love this place.

We popped in on a Sunday at ~1pm and were seated immediately (3 of us). We'd not been here before but heard great things which all turned out to be true. The decor was gorgeous, and everything was clean and comfortable. Once we ordered food we were brought bread, salad and dips which were very tasty. Our mains were two halloumi wraps w. chips which were huge and very tasty, and a chicken shish kebab which was large chunks of very moist, beautifully cooked chicken with rice. We cleared our plates (half a wrap came home with me for later) and decided to share one dessert. Everything was just great and our waiter, Asharaf was the perfect amount of attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for a visit - we will be returning soon👍

We went to Turkuaz to celebrate a birthday with a group of around 15 people and they handled everything brilliantly. The service was smooth and well organised, with all the food coming out at the perfect time and no issues at all. The food was absolutely amazing! Really fresh, flavourful and delicious. We ordered three family platters to share, which were very generous portions and even left us with leftovers. The kunafah was so good 😍 They also kindly surprised us with a free slice of cake for the birthday celebrant. Highly recommend Turkuaz for both the food and the excellent service!

My family and I had an amazing experience here! We visited as a large group of 12, including two toddlers, and the staff were incredibly patient and kind. They went out of their way to talk to the children and even gave them sweets, which was thoughtful. The kids were curious and playful (as kids are) and the staff handled it all with genuine warmth and understanding. The food was also amazing. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place. Easily the best in the area!

We came here for our New Year’s Eve dinner. We ordered garlic mushrooms as an appetizer, and they were quite nice. For the main course, we had Chicken Shish and Lamb Kleftiko. Tbh, the chicken shish was great. The only downside was the lamb kleftiko the sauce was a bit watery. We’re not sure if it’s supposed to be like that, but the lamb itself was nice, it was just the sauce that let it down. For dessert, we had two Belgian chocolate puddings. The drinks were nice as well, we had beers and strawberry milkshakes. The milkshake was quite refreshing, not too sweet, and you could still taste the chopped strawberries in it. The service was attentive, and we loved the ambience. It’s a very nice restaurant overall.

I visited Turkaz in Rochester for a family meal and we ordered the mixed grill. The quality of the meat really stood out — juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The starters are also a highlight - we had the calamari, borek, chicken wings, and grilled mushrooms, all of which were delicious and freshly made. One important staple for me at any Turkish place is the chilli sauce, and Turkaz definitely passed the test — it was so good we even requested a larger bowl to share around the table! The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and is very aesthetically pleasing, which makes it a great place to enjoy a meal. The location is also convenient with plenty of parking, and they cater well for gluten-free options, which makes it accessible for everyone. The only downside I’ve noticed from visiting a few times is that service can be uncoordinated — new dishes are sometimes brought out before the previous ones are cleared away, which makes the table feel a little messy. It wouldn’t stop me from returning again, but I’d probably request that the table is cleared once we finish our starters. That said, the food is consistently delicious and generous, and it’s a wonderful spot for authentic Turkish meals with family. I’ll most likely visit again.

Interior area is nice, food is not bad although the portion could be slightly bigger. The bread they offer as a side dish/starter tastes better than many other Turkish restaurants, we like the salad, too. We are only two people sharing a mix grill which comes with chicken/lamb shih. The lamb has more flavour than the chicken but they were both quite tender. Overall not bad and the place offer free parking nearby which is convenient!

Overall, a good restaurant but loses points because the service was not as good as it should be. The feed was ok but could have been a bit tastier. The interior design though is very nice. Would I return? Yes, I would. I would like to give them another chance.

I went there with my family and friends. There was 16 of us and cost us just under £14 per head. Food was a bit chewy bit very nice. Service was not the best. Atmosphere was not very pleasant. Highlight hower, for which im giving it 4 stars, was the desserts. Freshly made and absolutely delicious. Best knafeh I have ever had and the Cake was heavenly. Would I go there again. Definately.

I visited Turkuaz twice now and each time food was delicious. The service was great, although there was not much interaction with waiters. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, it has clean and nice smelling toilets as well. The only con is that cocktails are very weak, I could hardly taste any alcohol. The meal portions are big and you will be served a welcoming bread with a salad and a few sauces free of charge.

Went to this Turkish restaurant and was extremely disappointed. The waiter promised us desserts but never served them — which would have been fine if he had simply explained. Instead, his attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive, almost escalating into an argument when we politely asked to order extra food. The level of disrespect and bad manners completely ruined the experience. We spent nearly £200 here, and the service was absolutely unacceptable. Serving person name is Asharaf
