Opinions de Tasty Pot Elk Grove
Tasty Pot is the GOAT. Love their different takes on taiwanese hot pot. Super flavorful and filling. My only gripe about the food is that they put a lot of cabbage in there to pad the volume.
This is my girls favorite Tasty Pot location (Elk Grove Blvd and Hwy 99) based on service and area. The food is consistent for most of the times. Update: Over the years, this has become my favorite spot for myself. I appreciate the food consistency and service.
Definitely my go-to hot pot noodle place. I ordered the seafood, thai style hot pot in very spicy (I love spicy food!) The service was prompt and my hot pot arrived, still sizzling in about 15mins or so. There was a good amount of seafood in there. The flavour was tangy, like a Thai Tom yum soup. The waiter comes around quite often to refill the hot pot with broth for anyone requesting it. Definitely a must try here for hot pot lovers!
Wow! This was the first time ever having a tasty pot, and I was totally amazed. I had the curry bowl with medium spice. This is my new favorite place. The waitress was very nice and the food came very quick. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious.
The place looks nice, The staff is SUPER friendly, & most of all the food is good. And if they have an off day they'll change the entire bowl for you so just let them know! I've been going EVERY friday for the past year+ frankly I dont usually approve of tipping over 15% but i get such good service I always feel like giving them 20%
Went here with my friend and this was our first time trying a hot pot place. It was sooo good. You get a decent amount of food and pricing was great too. The soup was flavorful and there were sauces that worked well with it too. Will definitely be trying my with family next time.
Would always stop here on my commute home down south and loved it. Really good cheaper hot pot choice! 3 main sauces, but it works well with the soup. This is my favorite location in the Sacramento area.
Free green or black tea with your order (only for lunch). Decent prices and covid-safe hotpot since everyone gets their own and it is not shared. Love their beef and lamb hotpots! Recommend you at least get mild spice, no spice is literally no spice, kinda bland.
Totally sharable. My husband and I always get #1 medium. With extra clear noodles and meatballs. We would refill our pot with more broth at least three times. Make sure to get a side of chili oil for the broth to keep the flavor there. For dipping sauce, I mix all three sauces together. Equal amount. We love it here. It never fails us. Amazingly delicious.
Wanted to try out even before pandemic. Broths are distinctly different. Small tabletop selection of dipping sauces; bean, oil, and garlic sauce. Food was very fresh and generous portions. Had lobster hot pot with a 4 ounce tail and lots of seafood. The Thai pot has crab, only $2 less than the lobster, but crab legs were small and hard to get meat. Good rewards plan. Definitely will come back with family and friends.
This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. I come here all the time for lunch and dinner. Service is amazing, and the pots are TASTY. Definitely check out Tasty Pot if you're looking for something to warm you up 🍲
Great place to go on a cold day! Wish it was cold more.
Friendly service and tasty food! Highly recommend!!
My husband & I visit weekly for the amazing food . Each time we are always pleased with the outstanding customer service!! Thanks to one of the servers who provided our daughter with an ice cream treat ! Definitely a place to go for delicious spices .
My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this place because of the spacious ambiance, attentive customer service, and taste of the food! It's all so much better than the South Sac location. The employees all made us feel welcome and taken care of. At least 2-3 came to ask if we were ready, but never walked away rudely/impatiently. They always smiled and told us to take our time! They always made sure everything was okay and refilled our water and broths (optional). We just really enjoyed the vibe at this location and will definitely be returning!
The comforting and delicious hotpot is only superceded by the incredibly friendly staff. We're here once a week, even in triple digit summer weather!
A welcome treat especially when the weather says goodbye to warm sunny days. The menu offers so many options and the service is 👍🏽 I always choose the beef hot soup because it is filled with all kinds of delicious ingredients. Next time, i shall try the Taiwanese supreme spicy hot soup 😁
We love Tasty Pot, especially during cooler weather. They have a lot of options to choose from but our favorites are the beef soup and seafood soup. Portions are big so you can always take home leftovers. It gets packed real fast so we always make sure to show up right before they open for dinner.
My wife is a regular here so much so that they know her order without her asking. Staff is friendly and the food is consistent. We continue to come here when she’s in the mood for soup. Like everywhere, prices continue to go up. She gets the seafood with Taiwanese broth. Personally I wish the clams were bigger but that’s a small detail.
I had a decent time, though the flavors weren't bold enough for my personal taste. Huge compliments to the staff, they were so friendly!
Delicious and fresh food. One of my favorite is the seafood and lobster. The broth flavors is on keys, not salty but mild and spicy. The service is excellent and very courteous. Definitely go again as the weather starts getting cold. Recommend this place to those who like hot pot.
Only one open during quarantine right now with limited dining outside and hours so first come first serve.. Absolutely love this restaurant and will eat this soup in any type of weather. It's that good! I always get the beef or lamb soup and you can substitute things in your pot and add on. Decently priced and always filling. I just wish they had an open bar for happy hour but beer is still good. They even have a rewards program.
The wait was real lol. It wasn't bad but I was not expecting it to be that packed. The food was great. The hotpot was full of flavor. I'm not a seafood person so I gave all that away to my buddy but got some intestines and it was satisfying. Got a side of ramen for my hotpot too and it was delicious! Their black tea was amazingly good. Sweet and just refreshing. I could just keep drinking it. Definitely not a hotpot person, but definitely would come once in a while to get more eventually.
Visited Tasty Pot for dinner and ordered the Kimchi Dumpling hot soup. My friend ordered the Japanese Miso hot soup. Both were delicious and amazingly filling and satisfying. The soup is brought out in a "pot" that comes with its own a self-contained sterno flame underneath, keeping the broth nice and warm. It's packed full of goodies and as you enjoy your meal, the server comes around periodically with a carafe of broth to replenish your pot as many times as you like. Dinner ranges from $14-$20, and is well worth the price. I will come back again and again to try the variety of soups they offer.
the food is always so good and even has a fire under to keep it warm for way longer~

Visited a few times and the food is always so good. Atmosphere is good, location is convenient, service is great.
My favorite hot pot place in town. The prices are reasonable. The portions are not too big, I can finish the whole pot without getting it to go. The soup flavors are amazing, coming with great ingredients in them. It's easy to pick the options from the menu when you're there for the first time. They show you how to do it on top of the menu, with the prices and details. Give this restaurant a try, you'll love it.
I have been there four times, once with my sister. I ordered the seafood with lobster. I have food allergies and they accommodate me well. Food is always cooked good. Service is very good. The added plus is the absolutely delicious mango tea. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes something different than Burgers, Burritos and even traditional Chinese food. I have them tone the spice down but anyone whomlikes spicy can get that too. Next time you are at Walmart on Elk Grove Blvd, check this place out.

Another awesome restaurant opened in Elk Grove. Recently, I tried this Taiwanese restaurant with my family. From outside this place doesn't look like it will be big however inside they have plenty of tables. We went during their lunch hour service. With every meal, they serve cold ice tea, black or green tea. My husband liked their black tea whereas my preference was green tea. Black tea was a little strong for my taste.. Food was good but I expected more. We ordered the seafood and beef hot pot. Depending on your dish, the price differs. The broth tasted delicious. And you can always request for more. Service was on point. By the time, we left the restaurant there was a long line. We were glad that we reached there when it opened. My friends love this place. One of my friend suggested to bring own Chillies from home because their broth is not that spicy. I agree with friend. Parking : plenty of space. It's a shared Parking lot with walmart.
Food is getting more expensive but it's pretty worth it. You'll be full and they always refill your broth/water. Side selection of species is good and you will always get a consistent amount of food during every visit.
Great place to get your own personal hot pot. COVID 19 certified since you don't have to share the hot pot family style. They have so many flavors but I normally get the Thai flavor. Comes with sliced pork, clams, crab, fish balls and cabbage to name a few. This location is super spacious compared to the florin location.
Great atmosphere. Upon entry, you sign up on an iPad for the waitlist. The waitress was very efficient up front and got our order while we waited to be seated. I got the lamb hot pot (#2) mild spicy. I can't handle spice usually and this was still too spicy for me. The lamb was in thin slices and was tender and delicious. I got vermicelli which was nice, but I wish I got rice since it would have been a nice break from the soup (you place the vermicelli in the soup). The meal itself is very filling. I got an egg but I'm not sure if it was worth it since it got buried in my meat and it broke. But overall the flavors were good and I enjoyed my meal. Bathrooms are clean.
This is absolutely the place to be if you crave for a hot bowl of noodle in winter. My wife and I have been to Tasty Pot (at this location and also on Stockton Blvd) many times over the past year. The quality is consistently very good. Even the level of spiciness is consistent every time. Less one star though because Tasty Pot uses disposable plastic cups for water even when dining in
Had amazing service that was friendly and casual. They asked if I wanted more broth when they saw that my pot seemed like it needed more. The place has a nice interior design and feel to it. The food was nice but didn't fill me up compared to my friends, but that was expected because I can eat a lot. Overall, would come here again if I had more money.
I like the lamb pot. One pot is good for one person with veggies, tofu, beef ball, clear noodles and comes with the choice of a bowl of rice or more clear noodles. It's a good amount of meat and I'm very full after finishing it. There's a drink that comes with it, either black tea or green tea. Good services that you can ask to add more soup if you like.
Our first time here and very pleased Tasty Pot has arrived in Elk Grove. The place has well appointed decor and awesome Staff. The hot pots we ordered were very delicious. I love soups and the veggie broth is up there among the ones I have tasted. The reason for the 4 stars is it was our first visit.
Came back for hotpot today even the weather is so hot, not sure why. Usually come here for lunch because it is cheaper and got free green or black tea. There is no free tea refill at this place. The one on 65th gives free refill. First time ordered Thai seafood hotpot and it was good and got a lot of meat. Will come back again on another hot day. :-)
Makes cold winter days so much better! The dishes are a bit pricey compared to the hot pot places we would frequent in Taiwan (not surprising). I like how you can add your own seasoning- chili oil, soybean paste, etc. Plus they will refill your broth. If you're not super hangry, then you can share a soup. The drinks are also pricey (compared to $1 in TW!), but the boba is not rubbery. They have a point system for regulars- take advantage so you can get a free drink or meal eventually!

It was our first time here and didn't know much going on. There wasn't much explanation about how things were done. There was 5 of us and 3 of us ordered vermicelli and they put all 3 in one bowl. We didn't know and the waitress didn't seem to understand when we asked if what she gave us was 3 orders or were we supposed to get 3 bowls. I had little faith in our waitress but the rest of the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They also asked us multiple times of we were okay. We just didn't have a very good waitress.
Food is okay. Prices are on the expensive side considering there's only 3 slices of meat in a hotpot. The staff is really nice though. Perhaps the most annoying part is that you can't sub ingredients. I don't mind paying more to sub but they don't even allow you to remove ingredients you don't want. It's kind of ridiculous. If you prefer to personalize your hotpot or you're a meat eater and want to get more value for your money, then this isn't the right place for you. If you already like the ingredients and don't really like to eat that much meat then this would be the right fit. Otherwise, AYCE hotpots in the area would be a better option.
3 1/2 stars. Hot pot is shareable. Good soup choices but a little pricey. Soup spiciness and meat/veggies can be customized per your liking. Mango green tea was awesome! Friendly service. Restaurant is very clean with bright colors. I recommend adding appetizers for a more rounded menu.
